I remember work for the #airforce in #defensecontracting and hearing news that two of my co-workers had died or committed #suicide in a little over 2 years. One of them was my cube mate. Prior to that, my father passed from #prostatecancer. It seemed to be blow after blow and it brought out the worst of me. I needed a change of scene big time. My family took my father’s death the worst. It seemed like we were all floating on autopilot. I #quitmyjob and began pursuing my dreams. Everyone from my old job labeled me as a quitter and my family labeled me as some sort of #ptsd veteran living in an unreal bubble. I just got my #mba and the thought I was throwing everything away. To make matters worse, I ended up losing my brother to suicide a couple years later. A couple years later I opened my first biz and that bitch rocked from sun up to sunset. I did my first 10 hour day for myself. 4 weeks later I check my bank statement to find out I had made $5,500 on a soft opening month. The next month? $9,900 and after that $11,000! I saw all of my hard work, dreams happen and I overcame my pain and fears most importantly. For me, entrepreneurship is a way of life.
