Truth be said, Set’s attention was anywhere else but their present time. He was a temporal being, a creature that never until now had a taste of a substance like this. He had no clue, what he was getting into when N offered him the drink.

As such, it didn’t take long for him to fall prey to the side effects of alcohol. And evidently, he was on his own. Set was awfully quiet, with an empty stare at the distance while he sipped on his cup.

Was he even listening to N’s interesting rambles? He might have to rewind this night some other time, just to hear what was said to him. Some other time, perhaps. For now, he was having an internal battle against the substance he had just ingested.

“........................................” Nothing came out of him, other than quietly and slightly nod his head the entire time. As though he agreed, or wanted the other to continue with his rambles.

Was it too much to ask to enjoy an afternoon nap in a hammock in the trees after getting over the last mountain? Was peace and quiet too much to ask for?

“Or I’ll sic my Norivern on you to destroy your eardrums.”

The dragon perched on a nearby branch hesitantly rose its head, and Seto gave it a scratch.

The way their last talk- encounter ended, felt like his human friend - Seto hoped it would be the last time they’d run into each other. After all, by their normal standards crossing that mountain was no easy task. It should have taken someone on foot (like Atem), at least one or two weeks to get where they currently were.

Of course, that would be the case if Atem were just like everyone else- a mere mortal. Who was bound to this realm’s laws... But since that isn’t the case...

The laws don’t apply to it’s maker.

“But Seto, we weren’t done just yet. And you left in a hurry, anyway!” Atem responded in a calm and completely unfazed tone, he seemed to be in complete dismissal about the threat. “You’re looking like, you’ve seen better times Seto. Did you have fun in the mountain?”
