“It’s quite uncanny, isn’t it?”

The priest responded to the stranger, as he looked away from the book in his hands. The man in front of him wasn’t a real stranger to him, thanks to his vessel’s memories which came flooding his mind the moment his eyes laid upon him.

In fact, there seemed to be a lot going on between this figure and Kaiba, however. Their feud and affair wasn’t of Set’s interest, not even one bit. Rather something completely unrelated to it, caused him have another look at Malik.

“............ A tomb keeper? You? You’re a... Tomb keeper?” He uttered out while being just as confused and startled as, the mansion’s new inhabitant. His once calm demeanor had been replaced by a shocked one, as he put away the book.

There were too many memories and thoughts running through his mind in that moment. The Battle city tournament, the millennium rod... It was nearly impossible for Set to keep up with those things.

Eventually he broke his silence by letting out a pained groan, as he got up from his seat and took a few steps away from Malik. His hands ran through his long brunette hairlocks, and they pinched the birdge of his nose.

That couldn’t possibly be a good thing.

The high priest fell silent as soon as he heard the girl’s confession. So as it turned out, the brat was scared of water all along. If only he had known of such thing in the past, maybe he could have threatened to shove her into one of the many pools the palace had.

However, those thoughts were quickly pushed aside when the image of his mentor appeared, alongside with the rest of the court. He shouldn’t even have such thoughts to begin with.

Set could already feel a headache starting to form with him.

“That’s normal, I guess? If you were to fall into the river, you’d probably end up attracting the attention of whatever could be lurking within the water... So I guess, you wish to live a little longer.”

The spirt bit his bottom lip and held back from saying any further. Yet again, he has another sort of rude awakening to his reality. He needs to stop, getting things mixed up.

It is starting to make him look pathetic. And probably hint at a detail on him, which he has been attempting to cover up and ignore, for quite some time now. Obviously, such thing didn’t involve this version of him, but the image on itself seemed to be enough to throw him off for a loop.

This can’t be good, for him.

Eventually, the spirit took a step back and nodded his head slightly, while he remained in silence.

Then after a little longer he spoke again. “I wasn’t. It wasn’t about you.”

Myth and Magic Sentence Starters [THIS IS LATE, Accepting]

The comment made by the librarian alone silenced him, as a flurry of memories came flooding his mind. The look on the priest’s face changed drastically, he had genuinely been taken aback by the mention of a dragon.

His thoughts brought him all the way back to the destruction of his village, his memories were so vivid, to a point he swears he had just smelled the scent of smoke. It was amidst that chaotic setting, that Set had caught glimpse of the pure white dragon.

The image had been burned in his brain, and it has remained an unforgettable sighting. After all since that fateful encounter, there has been nothing that even came close to match, its magnificence. Set was never capable of putting into words, exactly how he felt about the dragon in question.

Eventually, Set returned to what he was like prior to the subject at hand, as if nothing had just happened. “It’s probably another false report. We have received many like this one in the past, I doubt it would be different this time around. Let’s not bother with it. I won’t waste any resources with this. Just put it alongside the others, eventually someone will fall for this and go inspect it.”
