중고딩때 엄청 빠져있던 음악 장르중 하나가 Acid Jazz 였는데

그때 많이 들었던 디사운드의 두 곡.

조금 전 우연히 토킹 토크 노래를 콧노래로 부르는 나를 발견하구 (기억력도 안좋은데 거의 20년전 듣던 노래가 갑자기 입에서 튀어나왔다!) 어 이거 뭐더라?? 가수랑 노래제목 누구더라??? 하면서 부분적으로 유일하게 기억났던 Talking Talk이라는 가사로 검색하니 바로 찾았다 휴. 제목이 토킹톸이였구만.ㅋㅋ

옛날에 들었던 노래를 몇년이 지난 후에 다시 들으면 새삼 잊고 살던 그때의 기분이나 그때의 감정들이 생각나는게 참 신기하기도 하고 좋기도 하다.

이 노래를 한창 들었을때가 아마 내가 고등학교 1학년 쯔음 됐었던 것 같은데, 소리바다에서도 찾을 수 없는 음원들은 직접 CD를 사서 음원을 추출해서 MP3에 넣고 들었었다. 너무 많은 시간이 지나버려 그때 들었던 MP3랑 CD들은 다 어디에 있는지.. 지금은 찾지도 못하고, 노래조차 기억을 못하지만, 오늘처럼 이렇게 불현듯 갑자기 생각나는 노래를 찾으면 잠깐이지만 고등학생때의 내가 된 느낌이 든다.

음악이 가진 힘은 정말 위대한 것 같다고 다시한번 생각하게 된 새벽.

D'Sound & Armi Millare - Lykkelig (Official Music Video); acoustic version below

"Lykkelig" is a new single collaboration between D'Sound and UDD's Armi Millare. They wrote the song together and gave it a Norwegian  title. "Lykkelig" means "happy" - and the song lyrics is in the Filipino language tagalog. The video for "Lykkelig" was filmed on location in the home of D'Sound bass player Jonny Sjo just outside Oslo, Norway.

28 - Norway 🇳🇴 - KEiiNO - Spirit in the Sky 🤨

I'll be honest, I loved this when the MGP entries were released. The studio version was so trashy but I adored it. I was tossing and turning trying to decide whether I preferred this or Mr. Unicorn. Lucky, KEiiNO made that an easy decision!

The live performance was such a mess. The clothes didn't make sense, the dancers didn't make sense, the drummers didn't make sense. Nothing made sense! The vocals were okay-ish. Apart from the joiking. I should have known but it's nearly impossible for him to replicate that kind of power live. It sounded hollow and strained, like he was constantly struggling to keep up.

I actually have a stage concept for this. The focus being a screen of fog with projections of animals, northern lights etc. Literally spirits in the sky. Still, I'm not an expert and I have no idea how much this would cost or if it's even possible lmao.

All in all, studio version good, live version not good. I imagine the juries will pan this but should do decently with the televote. So, it could be enough to get through.

Fingers crossed D'Sound return soon with the sequel: Mrs. Centaur.
