Been so busy I've barley had time to play any wedding stuff, or like.. Even take a break from it and see what another house is up to.. I could really go for seeing what Tweek is up to right now.. but! Checking in on the boys tonight and was suddenly struck with the perfect idea for a wedding present Elliot could get Kiyoshi. Well.. Seeing Prince and the fact this house came with like eight horse stables..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still a very cute idea! And look! Fable can fly! Amazing! Also if horses can be invited to weddings how amazing is it going to be if one of the rides in on him all dramatic!... I should get them a second horse so the can both do the thing!
Tumblr media
Again, they have the space for it!.. Might have to kick Derek out once it's time to start having kids and half the house spots are taken by horses but we'll cross that bridge when we get it it.

replies about my save file (loooong post ahead)
Tumblr media
It works for trees too! Be sure you're replacing the debug tree and not the Lot tree (i made this mistake initially too lol). There's a checkbox near the search bar in S4S to filter debug items. The tree names you're looking for are "treeGD_cherry_01" and "treeGD_cherry_02"
Some objects are tricky though. I still can't for the life of me find the concrete posts next to the canal where Eliza and Bob live 😭 if someone knows where they're hiding pls lmk
As for the placement of items, it isn't exclusive to CAW at all! The CAW mod right now just adds new features (like a preset tool), hidden debug items, and a much more intuitive interface (you can move objects around the world with WASD instead of clicking, for example). But everything I'm doing can definitely be achieved with TOOL! In fact I was planning on using TOOL only until the CAW mod was updated recently to work in existing save files.
The only problem you encounter with TOOL is that some areas in the world, like roads, aren't clickable, which means you end up fiddling around with XY coordinates and struggling to see past your current lot. To solve this I made a little mod to expand the clickable area. It's not my idea, a creator named Alexcroft came up with it, but his version no longer worked (and was only for Brindleton Bay and Sulani I believe) so I edited the BG files myself
I'll be uploading the mod with my save file of course (so off-lot areas will still be clickable/completely accessible) but if you want it now just send me another ask! (I don't want it buried in this long post lol) The only problem I've noticed so far is sims route a lot more 'freely', meaning they'll stray from the sidewalk and walk/bike in the middle of roads. I haven't gotten any glitches or last exceptions yet though, so I'm willing to share!
Tumblr media
Definitely! TwistedMexi is amazing, there's going to be an exporter for completed worlds as well as an official exchange to download them. You can read all about CAW here. As of now Crest Harbor is only a save file and not a proper custom world, but I'll be exporting it the instant CAW is finished.
Tumblr media
This is so sweet 🥹 That is exactly my intention, to have gameplay and functionality in every corner of the world!
I have been thinking about the townies/lore, and I've decided to go for a very small town, quiet drama, everyone-knows-everyone-else's-business vibe. It's one of the things I love about the insular worlds of TS3. For one of the big expensive Victorians I'm going to build, I've decided to make a 'perfect' and very wealthy family. except the kids are rebellious kleptomaniacs, the politician dad is actually in the criminal career with a basement bunker and listening device, and the serial romantic, yoga instructor soccer mom is having a torrid affair with half the people in her class
Of course not every family will be like this lol, but you get the idea. I know people like to have their own sims (rightly so!) but I do want a lively backdrop for them to live against :)
(your english is perfect by the way!!!)
Tumblr media
I know! I've figured out how to change the icon itself, I just can't figure out how to make the files reference *only* my copied world instead of Willow Creek too. They have identical icons right now and it's kind of jarring. Probably something I'm missing. If all else fails I'll probably just replace Willow Creek altogether. She's had 9 years anyway her time is up
Tumblr media
very pleased i've got you a t a l k i n' :) The CAW is in alpha right now, but lot editing is coming! TwistedMexi has a proof of concept showing that it's possible, he just hasn't implemented it yet. The difficulty I think is in making it user-friendly. All the lots in my save file are the same size as Willow Creek's though, since it's just a copy of that world. You can *technically* edit lot sizes by editing the game files but it's glitchy and I know I'd just break my game messing around with it
Tumblr media
yep, good eye! it's foundry cove on the Garden Essence lot. i did add a bunch of objects in the neighbourhood though

Conspiracies? (Part One)
Because she had a few days until reporting for duty at the military base, Greer decided to venture into town to get more acquainted with Strangerville. Her first stop was the library. If she wanted information about her new home, she figured this would be the ideal place to start.
The small building itself reminded her of an old school house, wrapped in white clapboard and trimmed in black. The inside was sparsely embellished. Rows of bookshelves were arranged in the center while desks and tables bordered them.
As Greer made her way along a row of bookcases, skimming over the titles and not really sure where to start, a voice piped up behind her.
"You're not from around here, are you?"
The voice was cautious, but curious. Greer cocked an eyebrow and glanced over her shoulder to see an oddly dressed woman staring up at her from behind a computer monitor.
Tumblr media
"Just moved here," Greer replied.
The woman tilted her head and regarded her closely, "Well you picked a hell of a time to show up."
Familiar paranoia pricked up in the back of Greer's mind. Who was this woman? What does she know?
"What do you mean by that?" she asked, her voice harsher than she intended as she turned to face her full-on.
"Haven't you heard?" the woman then glanced around nervously before continuing, "Last week there was a huge explosion down at that secret lab. Before that there was something big going on; they kept it under tight wraps. But they say no one has gone back there since."
Greer's heart picked up its pace.
"An explosion?" She said, more to herself than to the stranger. She knew this posting meant protecting a science lab, but she figured it would be routine. They didn't tell her exactly what they were guarding, but she figured it was just run-of-the-mill government experiments. She didn't foresee explosions and excitement of that magnitude in Strangerville.
"It was loud, too. Scared the hell out of everyone. And the official explanation?," the woman scoffed, "What a load of b.s."
"What'd they say caused it?"
"A dust explosion, if you can believe that."
Greer blinked down at her in confusion, "Like what used to happen in coal mines?"
Her mouth curved into a sardonic smile as she slowly nodded, "I told you...b.s. In a clinical setting like a science lab? I'm not buying it. I'm Liberty by the way."
"Greer," she replied, warmth seeping back into her voice.
"Well, welcome to Strangerville, Greer."
With that Liberty returned her attention to the computer in front of her began furiously typing away.
Tumblr media
Greer continued browsing through the books with even more questions. Clearly there was more going on here than a simple Farrow family mystery. Things blowing up. A secret lab. A possible cover up. As a conspiracy theory enthusiast, these were the kind of things she lived for. What are they hiding? Aliens? She thought, amused with how farfetched it seemed.
Invigorated by this turn of events, she plucked a book titled The Complete History of Strangerville from the shelf and made her way to an empty desk. She had only just sat down when out of the corner of her eye she saw a tall, lanky man in a cowboy hat approach her.
"Howdy there, missy. Forgive me, but I don't believe we've met. I'm Ted. Ted Roswell, Mayor of this fine little town," he said with a long, country drawl.
She looked up at him with a plastered on smile, "Hello. Greer Farrow."
Ted extended his hand and Greer shook it.
"You the one that bought Creek Corner Cove?"
"Yes, sir. That'd be me," she replied.
He smiled and nodded, "We're neighbors then. I'm glad to see someone livin' there. Heck, I want to fill up this whole town! The more the merrier."
Greer smiled up at him blankly, not knowing what to say.
"What do ya do for work, Ms. Farrow?" He continued.
"Military. This is my first posting."
"Ah," Ted rocked back on the heels, "Thank you for your service, soldier. You know, this has always been a military town; usually quiet, but there's been a lot more activity lately."
She nodded, "Probably something to do with the explosion."
His eyes shifted, "You know about that?"
"Dust explosion," she said struggling to mask her skepticism.
"Hell of a thing," he replied. "Well, I better let you get back to it. Welcome to Strangerville. We're sure glad to have you."
At that, Ted turned and swaggered away, the his boots clicking along the wood floor as he went.
Weird, Greer thought as she turned back to the book. Either the mayor is dumb enough to buy that story or he's in on it.
She skimmed through the book for the next hour but didn't find anything of interest; no explanation for why her dad refuses to talk about growing up here or any hint into what may be going on now. With a sigh she closed the book, got to her feet, and returned it to its place on the shelf.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As she made her way to the other side of the library, she noticed a woman in a lab coat watching her over the top of the book she was reading. The two locked eyes and as they did, an army of butterflies fluttered into Greer's stomach. Hello there, cutie, she thought unable to hide the goofy smile that was spreading across her face.
The mystery woman's eyes twinkled up at Greer before lowering her gaze, her cheeks flushed.
Greer, who has always been bold in matters of the heart, walked over to where she was sitting.
"Hi there," Greer said.
The woman tried to suppress her smirk, "Hi."
"I'm Greer."
"Emma," she replied, lowering her book and meeting Greer's gaze. The fire in the dark eyes looking back at her made Greer's heart skip a beat.
"You, a uh, scientist?" she asked, motioning to Emma's lab coat.
"Is it that obvious?" she replied, her smirk holding its ground.
Greer chuckled and shrugged, "What can I say? I have an eye for detail."
"What about you? I'm guessing...military?"
Greer nodded, "You would be correct. Just arrived."
A pleased look crossed Emma's face, "Well I guess that means we'll be seeing each other around."
"Ah, yes. You in the secret lab and me protecting it," Greer replied, sitting on the edge of Emma's desk.
"The secret lab? Is that what the locals are calling it?"
She nodded again, "They don't believe the dust explosion story either. And frankly, neither do I."
Emma's expression hardened, "Believe it or not. It makes little difference to me."
"Well I can see I won't get any state secrets out of you," Greer joked, desperate to repair the rift forming between them.
"I don't know any to tell," she replied softening, "I haven't been in the lab in a while. My work has been focused on the town. And before you ask, I'm just a botanist, doing plant life research."
A voice called from behind them, "Come on, Emma! We have to get the meeting."
Greer looked up to see another scientist with a hurried expression motioning frantically for Emma to follow him.
Emma grabbed her book and rose to her feet, "I'm sorry, I have to go. Duty calls. See you around?"
"Count on it," Greer grinned, already counting the seconds until she would see her scientist again.

I have 5 lots left to build in Willow Creek 🫣
I wanted this world to feel like home. To me willow creek’s map layout reminded me of the areas I saw as a kid. I grew up in a town that was in the middle of nowhere, in the woods, hardly any stores other than mama and papa shops + that one McDonald’s across from my highschool. There were definitely suburban areas depending on where you were but I lived near the more rural parts. The houses were dated, falling apart, or needed TLC is some shape or form. I can’t say that this world mirrors where I grew up perfectly but I wanted to tie aspects I know & love with things I wish I had around me while still keeping that small town feeling.
Foundry Cove: this section of willow creek has been revamped by a home developer named Richard Dick (lol) his goal is to renovate Willow creek to be modern & full of apartments! He wants the towns people to move away from old values, and get with the times. Bigger is better! (We hate him okay)
Courtyard Lane: Homes are decorated with over grown gardens and trees that seem to landscape the entire neighborhood. Despite a few blemishes on the architecture, these homes are loved by residents who take pride in their community.
Pendula View: (not done yet) I was thinking of keeping the gothic mansions theme, I’m just learning how to better my buildings skills and so far I haven’t been able to perfect that worn Victorian home look yet BUT I want this area of willow creek to be mysterious but also welcoming. To be filled with very interesting characters as well- I may have to insert the goth family although all the sims in this save file are original, I just have to incorporate them in some way- even if it’s my own perspective of them.
Sage Estates: This area holds Willow Creek’s National Park; Oakstead Park, and the Cypress forest. This is an area for families to connect with nature, eachother & build skills outside!
Crawdad Quarter: The ‘center’ of town. Here we have the arcade, the family owned pizza parlor, small spa and local bar, The ‘Cozy Corner’ which is a building consisting of a book store, thrift shop & flower shop, and the last lot on this street is pending. Finally in the middle we have ‘Willow’s Heart’ recreational center.
Somethings I’ve learned / thought while starting this project & remaking the worlds into my own completely, is 1. Really challenging myself to learn how to build from scratch- I’ve always downloaded houses from the gallery because mine look like Minecraft houses lmao.
2. To decorate without cc when I’ve only ever had it in my game (it made me focus more on color pallets with limited pieces, even ones I don’t like)HOWEVER, once I finish remaking this save file I’m making a copy so I can add build cc because… this is not for the weak.
3. I feel more satisfied & creative in my gameplay/builds because I am now molding the worlds to the story lines I have. Every detail feels more intimate/ real/ intentional … and I love that for me!
4. It had made me think about what type of stories and environments am I seeing myself make? Am I seeing my personal values and passions show through building worlds entirely of my own perspectives? What are those things? Why? And how could I expand that perspective into something new and maybe even unfamiliar to me? I want my experience in creating, & building to be intentional.
I don’t know why I’m thinking so hard about a game but I am curious to how other people build their worlds, communities, relationships. What stands out most to them in their gameplay. I love seeing people who make and share save files because you can see a glimpse of their own little world. I probably won’t share my save though just because I am not that skilled at building and it’s more for my own enjoyment but if you have a save file I’d love to check it out. It inspires me in ways because I also see ways of building or being creative that maybe I wouldn’t have thought of on my own AH AH

All Hallows: History of Horror
Midnight Midway
Dark Sea Cove
Croaker Creak
This section of the park, found on the back corner of County Drakul, starts with the grand entrance to a large Victorian museum. The museum resembles a Greek temple on the outside with large banners stating “History of Horror” hanging from above.
Inside the doors, visitors find themselves in a large open main area with a large skeleton in the middle (what creature is the skeleton? no one knows but is resembles a dinosaur). Beyond that main area are several exits leading to the various exhibits within.
Here’s where it gets fun. All of the exhibits are based on the other areas of the park or original to History of Horror. Each “exhibit” starts out looking like a normal museum exhibit, but some slowly transform into either an attraction in the park (Egypt, Greek, Phobia, Vampires), an eatery (Movie History) or a path to other areas in All Hallows (The Folklore exhibit lead back to Goblin Wood, The Western exhibit leads over to Croaker Creak). All other exhibits are small one room areas. No matter which exhibit you look through, there will always be slight references to the other park areas and their lore (for example, you might find more about Captain Gomer ‘Phantasm’ Salvador in the Pirate exhibit) The exhibits in History of Horror include: Egypt (ride), Greek (ride), Phobias (attraction), Western Culture and History (Croaker Creek path, Pumpkin Acres), Pirate (Dark Sea Cove), Halloween Folklore and Traditions (Goblin Woods path, Trick or Treat Village), Vampires (County Drakul, attraction), Movie History (Ghoul City), and Fairgrounds (Midnight Midway)
Characters:
The museum has only one curator, Dr. Bela Price, who went missing while working on his latest exhibit, Phobias. His main assistants, Rob Red, Izzy Imp, and Pat Peril are desperately trying to keep the museum running while also asking guests to keep an eye out for any evidence of him. Luckily, there are several hidden journal pages and news articles throughout the museum that tell Dr. Price’s story; how he had been investigating the strange places that make up All Hallow and is determined to uncover the truth of Halloween and horror once and for all! Aside from those characters, the only other big character introduced is Pharoh Hakar, the main mummy of the Egypt exhibit. A ruthless ruler with powerful magic, his eyes will hypnotize you into a nightmare world!
Attractions:
Nightmare of The Mummy: What starts as a friendly virtual jeep simulation through ancient Egypt turns into a very real adventure ride when the mummy Hakar sends you to the Nightmare realm of sinister traps, snakes, and the god of chaos Sett himself!
Greece Fire: A shooter dark ride (ideally trackless) through ancient Greek. Battle various undead armored skeletons and face ancient Greek monsters, including The Chimira, The Cyclops, and Medusa!
Behind the Terror: History of Horrors’s haunt maze. Head behind the scenes of the Museum starting in the unfinished Phobia exhibit and heading deeper into storage areas and science labs to find a possessed Dr. Bela Price claiming to be the Lord of Fear Itself!
What Lurks in the Dark: a side exhibit to the Vampire exhibit, this attraction features various living nocturnal animals in a dark environment, particularly bats.
Museum Exhibits: Each exhibit is a mix of real history and the fictional history of All Hallows. There are no real historical treasures here (figured it would be too expensive) but there are accurate replicas of historical artifacts and real facts relating to the historical topic presented. Of course, the real treasure here is the secret journal pages of Dr. Bela Price and the bits of All Hallows lore presented in the exhibits.
Shops and Eateries:
A Dress in Time: History of Horror’s costume shop, this shop contains ancient history costumes particularly of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece.
Renaissance Refreshments: A small café selling basic sandwiches and drinks surrounded by art pieces. If you look closely, the art may subtly change.
Movie Munchies: Located in the Movie History exhibit, this joint sells fast food options inspired by classic movie monsters and actors. Museum Gift Shop: Possibly the most ordinary-looking shop in All Hallows, this basic gift shop sells all forms of historical souvenirs, from books to toys to knick-knacks.
Visit @allhallowsthemepark for more Halloween horror!
and yes, this is the final bit of the expansion.

The three mayors of Animania knew something was wrong with the magical border. It started a few weeks ago; a slight rumble that was hardly noticeable enough to be considered anything, followed by a small power outage. Magic was the main source of power for the three areas in Animania and when the magic was off, people whispered. Luckily, only farms and small areas were affected and they were able to keep it all hush-hush until they knew what was going on. Countless meetings got them nowhere, and all they could do was wait. Show face to the public, continue on as normal, and don’t worry about the border until another issue arises.
Then last night happened. Mayor Vlad had personally been checking the borders to see if anything new happened, and what he witnessed changed everything. The borders seemed to flicker, disappear for a moment, and then…it started expanding. Mayor Vlad watched in horror as the border consumed three new areas for Animania.
One was the abandoned city of Townsville; a city that used to be bustling until it was the source of hard crime and terror. Most thought the people who were committing those crimes were simply human, but the border only consumed places that magic was amiss. Townsville was now accessible right next to Amity Park and the travel had to be by a normal mobile contraption or by foot, since there was still so much to discover. There were still people who lived there, it just wasn’t as busy as it used to be, and crime seemed to be on every corner even though it never seemed to last very long.
The second area was right beyond Crystal Cove. Mayor Jones checked the scene once Vlad had shared his news and to his surprise an entire town was there, with its own dock that led to the Crystal Cove and everything. It was bustling and alive, titled New Salem, though it looked like Crystal Cove did before the magical technology ever entered their paths. There was a sign that distinctly said “No Witches Allowed” and the town seemed to be absent of…children. It was eerie and because of this Mayor Jones had the outside of the town guarded by his best people. He doesn’t know if the town or the people in it are of a threat, but he wants to be sure first. He has allowed a few people to come and go, but took heed of the witch threat very seriously.
The third was by Echo Creek. It was just past the Enchanted Forest and the landscaping seemed old-fashioned, but the town was as lively as ever. It was called New Berk and it was filled with all sorts of creatures the people of Animania hadn’t seen for years. Dragons and unicorns and mythical creatures that were thought to be extinct lived there proudly and the people of New Berk tended to them like they were their own. Despite the magic, there was much hostility shown and so Mayor Lionheart decided to proceed his investigation with caution. He suspected hunters lived amongst New Berk, and even though the border had decided to take this town in, there was no questioning that there was danger that could come to Animania if they pushed too hard.
For a week they explored, let this news stay hidden, and tried their best to keep people away. But now the whispers and the rumors were too loud to ignore. So each new location is open to the public, and the people that came from these locations are welcomed into Animania. Tensions are high and there is no guarantee that there won’t be danger lurking in these new areas. But now they are here to explore. The border has gone back to itself for now, but now it is hard to say what else it will invite into Animania.

Hi everyone! Here is a new lot for my Willow Creek makeover. I’m really enjoying creating Foundry Cove, its residents and storylines. Sunrise Corner consists of three houses and three families. Enjoy!
Take care and stay safe. 💜
Sunrise Corner [cc-free]
Residential

This might not be the most affluent area in Willow Creek, but the houses of Foundry Cove are as colorful as their residents. In this modest neighborhood, there’s a beautiful community of people from all walks of life—and some of them have been living here for their entire life. They may not all get along, but if anyone needs help, they will always find it.

Discover TCee's New World: The Save File - StrangerVille
Greetings, everyone! Today, we embark on a journey through the enigmatic realm of StrangerVille in my family style Save File.
Here, in StrangerVille, the flora isn't the only peculiar aspect; the inhabitants themselves are equally intriguing. By day, it's a quaint town where residents exude warmth and hospitality. However, as night falls, the town takes on an intriguing allure.
Our first stop is Shady Acres, an exclusive enclave nestled atop a serene plateau. This prestigious neighborhood is home to affluent locals, residing in five distinct properties: Cliff Side Crest, Creek Corner Cove, Plateau Place, Dream Weavers Way, and StrangerVille Overlook. Enclosed within a gated community, Shady Acres boasts a commanding entrance building and picturesque benches dotting the landscape. Towards the rear of the plateau lies a tranquil fishing pond, fed by mountain tributaries, offering a serene retreat amidst nature's embrace.
Moving on, we arrive at StrangerVille Plaza, the vibrant heart of local activity. Here, four unique residences stand amidst bustling streets. From the bunker-like refuge of Old Penelope, crafted from the remnants of an airplane crash, to the covert sanctuary of Slip 42, cleverly disguised as a trailer home, each abode tells a tale. Carpophagous Corner and Riverside Grove offer comfortable family living, while nearby establishments such as the lively 8 Bells bar and the knowledge-rich StrangerVille Information Center add to the neighborhood's charm. Dominating the skyline, a towering water tower and a majestic windmill stand as symbols of the plaza's character.
Lastly, we confront the mysterious ██████ Lab, shrouded in secrecy and intrigue. Local folklore speaks of deep, dark secrets concealed within its walls, yet since the fateful explosion, no soul has dared to venture inside. Under vigilant military surveillance, the lab remains impenetrable. Whispers persist of a hairline fissure in the perimeter fence, a potential loophole for the brave and daring to explore the mysteries within, evading detection by the watchful eyes of authority.

The autumn morning was already scorching hot when Greer arrived in Strangerville. The sparse breeze blowing through the canyon offered little relief from the arid heat as she tugged her suitcase up the rocky drive to Creek Corner Cove.
The small plot of land had recently been bulldozed and sold at an online auction for a measly §4500. It was kismet, really; a sign that coming here was a fulfillment of her destiny. Using the remainder of her trust, Greer bought a small used mobile home and had it delivered the day before she arrived.
The transition from recent high school graduate to home owner, across SimNation from her family no less, cost all but the last few hundred of her simoleons. As she gazed up at the red mountains that stood like sentinels alongside her new home, blazing and aglow beneath the sun, she was overcome with wonder and knew it was worth it. An inexplicable sense feeling of belonging then rose into her chest and tears formed at the brim of her eyes. She had been obsessed with the idea of coming to Strangerville for so long and now that she was finally there, it all felt right.

Greer made her way inside for the first time. Her new home was outdated but no worse for the wear with its wood paneled walls and its few but worn furnishings. It smelled of must and pungent mildew, like it had been shut-up too long and was now baking in the heat. Scrunching up her face, she went around the main room and threw open any window that wasn't rusted shut before heading to the bedroom.
The room, lined with large windows, was bigger than it looked in pictures. Her bed had been delivered before her arrival and stood centered on the long wall and faced out the largest window. It was one piece of home that she could bring with her. As she eased onto it, she found its familiarity in this strange but beautiful place comforting.

That evening as she stood at the edge of her property, looking out at her mountains and the lazy river winding along the canyon floor, Greer knew she was finally home.

All Hallow: Croaker Creek
Midnight Midway
Dark Sea Cove
Cursed by a terrible incident one year before the town’s founding, this tragic town is host to all kinds of spooks, both friendly and not so friendly…
Coming off the back left corner of Pumpkin Acres (opposite of Goblin Woods entrance), a dusty cart trail lead through the woods to an open dry land with a seemingly abandoned late 1800’s frontier town nestled in the middle. After passing through a cemetery listing the dead folks of the town (see Characters), a worn old wood sign sits in the dirt near the entrance with “Welcome to Croaker Creek” scrawled on it. Inside the town, wild west buildings stand like old tombstones, their side worn and windows dirty and cracked, in a long straight line. Past the main town, the path branches two ways; one way leads left towards a rocky landscape and a dried-up creek, while another leads right to an open dusty farmers field with ghostly glowing teepees set up and an old large farmhouse in the background.
In contrast to Pumpkin Acres, which is filled with the bounty of a good fall harvest and has plenty of life and vegetation, the entirety of Croaker Creek is dead and dry in a literal sense. Wilted plants and dead trees line the dusty road and there are no signs of anything living…at least in the mortal natural sense.
Signs of spooks and curses can be found all over the town of Croaker Creak. Along with the appearance of the residents in ghostly attire, you can also hear and see other eerie sights. Voices croak from seemingly nowhere and the sound of water can be heard from the dried creak. Objects move on their own and the player piano will stop playing sometimes when a stranger walks through the door or play certain themes in accordance with certain spirits appearing. It’s pretty clear that the town is haunted by some old wild west spirits but luckily most of them are quite nice! Background music for the town would be mellow and slow county instrumentals.
Characters:
Every character in Croaker Creek has a corresponding gravestone in the cemetery with the exception of Shaman Poloma
Sheriff Leroy Hollow: The old sheriff of Croaker Creak. Although he might not seem like the most efficient lawman, when there’s trouble, he’ll do what’s needed for the community. Died by a gunshot. (It’s unclear whether it was Harry Van Terrior or Snakebite that shot him, but that’s up to the visitors to decide)
Mayor Harry Van Terrior: The mayor and founder of Croaker Creek. Although many praise the mayor for his charitable work and leadership, some suspect that the mayor may hide a dark secret. Died by starvation.
Isabelle Van Terrior: The mayor’s beautiful daughter. Many men tried to woo her into marriage, but suspiciously some who dated her died in mysterious ways. Died by strangulation (again, it’s unclear who killed her, but suspects include Snakebite, Evelyn Sellers and Bo Blackwater.)
Ezra ‘Snakebite’ Crane: An outlaw that brings terror wherever he and his gang of crooks go. A slippery and dangerous thug that delights in scaring individuals and has a wicked fast shot. Died in a shootout with Leroy Hollow and several town folks.
Evelyn Sellers: The mother of one of Isabelle’s suitors that died. A crooked old woman that spites and despises young beautiful woman and one of the suspects in Isabelle’s murder. Some believed she was a witch and tested her by drowning her in a dunking pool. Some think it is because of her death that the drought happened.
Bo Blackwater: A wheel-chair bound cripple that used to drift from town to town. He can often be heard playing his old banjo and singing old western songs. Died when he was hanged for the crime of murder. (He knows he’s innocent, but the rest of the town thinks he’s a filthy liar)
Shaman Poloma: Native American shaman and storyteller. She and her tribe once lived on this land until they were tricked into eating poisoned food.
The Horseman family: A farming family that lives near town. Near the end of their lives, they became haunted by unknown spirits and slowly became insane thanks to the drought ruining their crops and starvation and the incidents in town. (their graves are near the family home or cremated in vases inside)
Other characters that make an appearance in the graveyard and in Croaker Creek are Isabelle’s suitors that gather around her, Snakebite’s gang, some of the shopkeepers (see Shops and Eateries) and the miners in Howl Mine
Attractions:
Howl Mine: A rickety mine cart ride within a mine that suffered many deaths over its lifetime. You can still hear the moaning of miners and see their ghosts as you fly by quickly on this hair-raising trip!
The Bloody Pit: A terrifying drop ride into the depths of the mine shaft, where 13 miners died in an explosion and suffocated on gas.
Storytelling Circle: Gather in the large white teepee and listen and watch as Shaman Poloma tells Native American stories about monsters and evil spirits. Complete with special effects and shadow puppetry on the tent walls.
Tale of Terror: The Horseman Tradigy: An immersive horror show set in the home of The Horseman’s. Intense 14+ A performance that technically isn’t a haunt maze, but will leave you haunted.
Van Terrior Hotel and Scalawag Alley: The actual haunt maze of Croaker Creak, this claustrophobic maze starts in the hotel, where Isabelle’s suitors haunt the halls looking for their love, to the back alley where the pain of starvation and thirst turned the town folks insane, to the secret hideaway of Snakebite and his villainous gang of crooks.
Shops and Eateries:
Nannie’s Outfitters: Owned by a shopkeeper that died in an accident that twisted her head, this costume shop sells more variety of western outfits beyond just cowboys and cowgirls. This includes mining outfits, saloon jobs (barkeep, dancer, musician, etc), and even outlaw costumes.
The Deserted Skull Saloon: Every western town needs a saloon, and The Deserted Skull is the spookiest saloon you’ll ever enter! Barbeque dishes and sasparilla and root beer pair well with the theatrics that plays on the stage inside. Sometimes, the famous ghosts of Croaker Creak show up for a visit.
The Native Outpost: A small stand just off the path to the farmland serving Native American frybread and pemmican
Thomas Peterson’s Photography Studio: Connected to Nannie’s Outfitters, this photography studio run by a burnt ghost offers both single and group photos, with the option of renting western outfits to wear. The shop also has some old newspapers and pamphlets telling a bit of the history of the town. There is also a surprise in the photos; each photo comes with a hidden ghost in the pic!
Side path: A path in the mine leads to the Western Exhibit in History of Horror
