Love is in the air! Everyone knows what that means. Valentine’s Day! The House of Mouse welcomes you this Valentine’s day to a Sweetheart’s Night. Dress your best and bring your honey to dance, share drinks with, and be served delicious food being catered by La Rose Parisienne and Chez Paris. Chadwick Charming || 29 || Socialite || Echo Creek

“Always ten feet below, and she’s just out of reach.”

✨Biography:

Chad Charming had led a life as easy as his name. Being the spare of his family had its perks, with his cousin, Kit, being in line to inherit their entire family estate. Still, that didn’t mean that he was out of luck, by any means. With his father being the brother of Kit’s dad, his branch of the family was pretty well off, so much so that Chad never went to college, and he still doesn’t really have a legitimate job, either. In his earlier twenties, he helped Kit plan all of his big parties, and he was even there the night that his cousin found some girl with a glove that had run away, No pressure was on Chad, though, to find a wife in the same way that there was on Kit, and he took full advantage. He was a bit of a playboy, using his last name to seduce and his money to keep them there. Chad wasn’t the kind to get attached to anyone, except the girl in the forest. He had been out taking the horses for a ride with Kit when he heard her voice and saw a waterfall of blonde peeking over the side of a tower. He didn’t want to make too big of a deal of it, since Chad had never shown any serious interest in anyone before, but he went back to listen to the girl sing a few times before, one day, she was just gone.

Somehow, Kit and Chad had found themselves both with the loves of their lives out of reach. Little did Chad know, the girl who he had been pining after was named Rapunzel, and she had been whisked away by the notorious Flynn Rider to live out her life outside of the tower. Without the girl waiting in the tower, Chad had finally found his purpose: looking for her. He’s been searching around Animania for where she could be since she left. Chad has no idea that his cousin actually dated the girl he’s been searching for this whole time, and while part of that can be attributed to his lack of common sense, he and Kit had also grown apart a bit since his cousin has taken on more responsibilities. Chad can’t help but feel a little bad for him, since he’s apparently supposed to get engaged (again) and has to deal with his entire family  looking for him to get engaged, but someone has to do it. Chad doesn’t see his shortcomings as getting Kit’s sloppy seconds, but rather an opportunity to live life on the easier side of life while just scraping by, doing the best he can. He knows he could do better, but why waste the energy on trying to be educated when he would much rather spend his time trying to live the good life instead?

Ken Carson: He became friends with Ken through Kit, and now that his cousin has other duties to fulfill, the two have never seen eye to eye more! Or, so he thinks. Chad has no idea that Ken actually can’t stand him, and thinks they’re just as good of friends as he and Kit are.

Claudette Bimbeau: Out of all the people he’s hooked up with, Claudette might be one of his favorites. She has a quick wit and keeps him on his toes, even if Chad doesn’t really get what she’s saying all the time. All he knows is that she’s blonde and pretty, and though she’s never sung in front of him before, he has a feeling she isn’t the girl he’s been looking for.

Alexander Black: One of the bartenders that Chad’s met in his time in the clubbing scene. He seems so angry all the time, and Chad isn’t quite sure why, but he knows it’ll probably end better for him if he befriended the guy for an edge at the club and to stay out of trouble.

Tom Baker || 45 || Baker || Echo Creek

“Maybe I just wasn’t meant to have children.”

✨Biography:

It might sound a little ironic, but baking has been in Tom’s family for as long as he can remember. Their family bakery has been passed down for generations, and he grew up learning the business. To try and help the prospects of growing the family business, Tom went to college in Echo Creek, deciding that he didn’t really need a bigger and better degree to run the Bakers’ bakery. He didn’t think that he would ever marry, once he hit thirty and didn’t have any sort of prospects of a wife, until Sara came along. She was a lot younger than him, and Tom never encouraged her to drop out of college, but Sara was all in on helping him run the bakery and making it as successful as they could. The two eloped and Tom was the happiest he’d ever been, until they started to try for a baby and came up unsuccessful. He had a feeling that there was something wrong with him, since his parents were only able to have one child, or so he thought. That was the only hitch in what otherwise was a happy marriage and happy, simple, life that he had dreamt of living.  As far as he was concerned, he and Sara were doing well, while, unbeknownst to him, his wife had cheated on him with one of the most popular socialites in Animania.

Things were smooth sailing until the woman from next door came knocking. Tom had never really spoken to his neighbor, not even when he was a child, but she came bearing secrets that he hadn’t even known were hidden. What had stuck with him the most was that he had a sister who he didn’t know existed, who had apparently been born after he had moved out and begun running the bakery on his own. Not only that, but the woman had placed a curse on the entire Baker bloodline since his father had accidentally stolen some beans from her garden when his mother was pregnant with his sister. It was unfair, the way his father’s actions had sealed the fate of his entire family, but the woman, who revealed herself to be a witch, had offered two solutions. Either Tom and Sara could find his sister, who apparently had magical hair that could help the witch look young again, or they could find some random items to make a potion: a cape, a slipper, a cow, and a lock of hair. While Tom wanted to go fix this himself, Sara has been quite set on helping him find these ingredients to make the witch’s potion. What Tom’s more concerned about is finding his long-lost sister, though he doesn’t even know what her name is. All he knows is that she has some power in her hair to heal people, and Sara pointed out that it might mean he has some powers, too. Unbeknownst to Tom, it was the very reason why his bakery had been so successful once he’d taken over, as his baking has the magic to heal their hearts’ wounds. He and Sara had never expected their lives to take such a turn, but Tom’s just hoping they wind up expanding their family by the end of it.

Lilla Puckett: Tom once saved the girl and her grandmother from Zeke Wolf on the quest to find this cape as red as blood nonsense. It had apparently worked, since Lilla and her grandmother are very much alive, but he’s still hoping to get this cape out of her, just to satisfy Sara and the quest for the potion.

Jack Spriggins: The two exchanged some of the witch’s magic beans for a cow. Tom feels pretty terrible about the trade, since it was clear that the boy considered the cow a friend, but he promised to give him back as soon as Sara gets pregnant, and he intends to do just that.

Fauna Felton: Another baker who Tom can feel as oncoming competition. The woman seems perfectly nice, but he’s scared of her and how good she is. Either he needs to hire the woman or hope that her supposed anticipated cookbook is a flop.

“This is ridiculous, what am I doing here, I'm in the wrong story!”

✨Biography:

Sara Baker has led a pretty mundane life. She met her husband, Tom, when she was young, and made the admittedly unintelligent decision to drop out of college to marry him. He was quite a bit older than her, and he needed help starting his bakery. Sara was young and in love, and their bakery actually became a success! The only negative was their location: they lived next to this strange woman who Sara was convinced was a witch, but a garden full of greenery separated the bakery from her house, so she was pretty sure they were safe from any kind of magic their neighbor might be brewing. The only things that could make life better were a more interesting husband and a baby. Sara and Tom had been trying for a child for as long as she could remember, and while the doctors can’t seem to figure out what kind of infertility issue they were facing, she just couldn’t get pregnant. With no hope of becoming a mother and running the same bakery every day, Sara had grown bored of her life with Tom, and maybe that was why she had found herself somehow involved with Kit Charming. It wasn’t at one of his parties, but when he was at a bar afterwards that she went home with him. She felt horrible about cheating on Tom, but who wouldn’t say yes to someone like Kit? Her husband still has no idea about her infidelity, but she figures what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him for now.

Everything changed when the witch from next door burst in with an announcement one morning. She was looking for specific ingredients for some potion that would make her young again, since her daughter, who also happened to be Sara’s long-lost sister-in-law, had run away. The woman also revealed that the reason why they couldn’t have a child was because Tom’s bloodline had been cursed after his father had stolen some beans from her garden. The witch promised the couple a child if they were able to help her find a red cape, yellow hair, a cow, and a golden slipper, breaking the curse she had placed on the Bakers. Sara thought it sounded crazy, but she was desperate for a child, and would stop at nothing to get these potion ingredients or find her husband’s sister, whichever came first. It would be nice to find her sister-in-law, but Sara figures that if even a witch can’t find her, what kind of chance did the Bakers have? Finding the ingredients to this strange potion seems a lot easier to her, at least. Though Tom wanted to go off on his own to try and find everything, Sara refused. If they wanted to be successful in their search, it would take two of them to find all these things or the girl.

Since then, she’s come into the bakery a few times, and Sara is hoping that she can convince Ella to help her find this golden shoe: who else in Animania would own a slipper made of gold than one of the richest men in town?

Minerva “Minnie” Mao: Sara is the woman’s biggest fan. She watches literally everything that Minnie’s in, and is hoping that one day she’ll just turn up at the bakery one day or she’ll run into her on the street in the city. If that were to happen, though, Sara thinks she’d probably faint.

Eddie Valiant: Though she hasn’t told Tom about it, Sara’s reached out to the man in the hopes that he can help the Bakers find Tom’s sister. She knows he probably won’t be able to do much, but it would be quicker than having to look for all these items.
