Sorry I Forgot

It was an interesting and saddening experience to see the change in vibe for these anniversary videos.

Much like the stages of grief, we’ve seen Mark and Ethan deal with the guilt of realising that they’re starting to move on and find other things. Last year we saw them reminiscing about Unus Annus, and this year we’re seeing them apologise for forgetting, talking about the things they’ve done, and promising not to be late next year.

They’re healing much like we are. Yes, there’s still some sadness there, but it’s not as strong as 3 years ago when it ended. We’re all moving forward, finding new things to take on, living our lives. We can go several days without mourning UA, and sometimes we’ll forget things. It’s all part of the healing process.

I think it would be fitting for Mark and Ethan to stop making videos on this after the 5 year mark, just as there are five stages of grief.

Sorry for the media analysis, I just wanted to get some thoughts out.
