Looking at it like this maybe it’s creepy that he gave his daughter a funeral flower that was meant to shut him up but maybe it was meant as a warning to her.

Sidenote: how does she know it was a calla lily? Did he tell her as he gave it to her? Bc if so that might also suggest that he understand my hypothetical meaning behind this flower, and understood the threat.
