8. How did you discover Rent?

I’m p sure I was watching Glee vids and when they sang Seasons of Love I was like !!o this song !!! and then I saw clips of Idina and Renee (except I didn’t realize they were two separate versions cuz I’m dumb like that) and after watching a clip of Tango:Maureen and Take Me or Leave Me I was like yup I’m watching this movie

mimi met angel because her brother dated angel in high school and she had to pretend to date him and they would do this thing where mimi and angel went to the movies with mimi’s brother and he would bring a friend (prob different each time) and the moment they got out of mrs. marquez’s sight mimi’s brother and angel would disappear and mimi would get to make out with older boys

15. If you could be roommates with any of the characters, who would it be?

16. If you’re familiar with the NYTW version of Rent, what’s something that you like or dislike about it?

i only know about the brain splattered thing and like me too but mark please roger’s angst is enough

mark - producing independent films and freelancing, filming music videos and commercials and stuff but no super big projects because he keeps wanting to quit

roger - he wrote a super great song and now he’s living off the royalty money

mimi - mimi and roger are married and they have a teenage girl who’s lowkey goth, fight me on this

maureen - she still performs! she’s gonna be performing until she dies! she’s a board member of pride ny and lowkey a celebrity for those who know theater. she does free workshops for underprivileged aspiring performers.

joanne - working at lambda legal.

collins - collins got properly employed at nyu and also works with act up ny, who will not expel him for his theory of actual reality

angel - angel spends most of her free time lamenting that rupaul’s drag race didn’t start when she was younger. she never really settled for a job, did a bunch of things this and that

benny - he actually made a studio without evicting any homeless people! it’s for people who are richer than bohemians tho. a pity
