Buffalo: 2022 Camellia Bowl Champions

MONTGOMERY, AL – For the second time in three years, the University at Buffalo football team hoisted the Camellia Bowl trophy over its heads as bowl champions, defeating Georgia Southern, 23-21, at the Cramton Bowl on Tuesday afternoon. An undermanned Bulls squad had reserve players step up all day to help UB win its third bowl in program history.

Players like Clevester Hines, who before this week was a wide receiver, was forced to start at cornerback and finished with seven tackles and three pass breakups. He helped the Bulls slow down a pass-happy, high-powered Georgia Southern offense. On the offensive side of the ball, running back Tajay Ahmed was pressed into action due to injuries and responded by rushing for a career-high 98 yards and a touchdown.

While several new faces stepped up, the usual old reiables paced the Bulls, especially early. Wide receiver Justin Marshall had 11 catches for 127 yards, both career highs, and scored UB's first touchdown of the game enroute to being named the bowl's Most Valuable Player.

Marshall was the favorite target of quarterback Cole Snyder who threw for 265 yards and a score. He became just the third quarterback in program history to throw for 3,000 yards in a season. Snyder also connected with Quian Williams five times for 100 yards.

Buffalo took a 14-6 lead late in the first half on a short touchdown run by Ahmed.

Georgia Southern responded early in the second half by quickly tying the game on a long touchdown pass. However, the Bulls answered with consecutive Alex McNulty field goals to take a 20-14 lead into the fourth quarter.

Early in the fourth quarter, Dylan Powell came up with his first career interception to set up UB at the Georgia Southern 40-yard line. The Bulls were able to drive down the field and McNulty hit a chip shot to extend the UB lead to nine. It was McNulty's third field goal of the game and 49th of his career, breaking the program's all-time record.

The Eagles scored a touchdown, with 3:38 left, to cut the UB advantage to two points. However, the Bulls were able to get two key first downs and Georgia Southern never got the ball back.

Linebacker Shaun Dolac led the UB defense with 13 tackles and added a forced fumble that was recovered by Jalen McNair to set up a UB field goal. Fellow linebacker James Patterson, making his 56th and final career start for the Bulls, had eight tackles, including a tackle for loss.

It was the third straight bowl win for the Bulls after winning the 2019 Bahamas Bowl and 2020 Camellia Bowl.

Idk I think if you're depicting any animal semi-seriously in media the least you can do for it is to try searching for some references in a natural setting. Especially in a medium like animation, referencing behavior is just as important as physiology. Sometimes the clearest photos of a species are in a very distressing context for the animal. Some people only know certain animals for how they look/behave under extreme stress. This is why I love camera trap footage so much as reference.

What I'm saying is if you're tasked with designing and animating an otter or a fox and your only videos referencing them in motion where captive pet videos I'm gonna be disappointed

You can tell when someone's put thought and effort into their depiction of a species, no amount of rigging or polygons can create believable animal behaviour*. Like to me the aristocats is a really cute movie because despite being anthropomorphized the kittens still behave like cute kittens!!

It's hard to find modern animation with great animal acting similar to Kahl's. It's either fully anthro movement or behaves like a dog, and I do think this oversaturation has some negative effects on our relationship with animals. Our society has become so based in narratives and stories and so many of our stories have misleading or fabricated beliefs about animals and how they behave

Franklin the best - Franklin the best is gonzo the great's parodie cousin counterpart, he is an acrobat And Daredevil that loves doing dangerous tricks, And he is interested in mermans. His headcanon voice actor is Scott Menville, And his voice claim is Robin from teen titans go.

Professor Charles van rosecrew - professor Charles van rosecrew is dr bunsen honeydew's parodie cousin counterpart, he is the Scientist on the Show And he helps bunsen in his Experiments, And he is Carson's love interest. His headcanon voice actor is Jim Rash, And his voice claim is Gyro from ducktales.

Carson - Carson is beaker's parodie cousin counterpart, he is an nervous wreck just like beaker but he is good friends with him too, And he is professor charles' love interest, And he speaks in "eeh!?" And "beep!" His headcanon voice actor is Tom Kenny, And his voice claim is Spongebob squarepants from Spongebob squarepants.

Houston the bull - Houston the bull is rowlf the dog's parodie cousin counterpart, he is the Wise And laid back accordionist on the Show And he is from Texas. His headcanon voice actor is Tom Kenny, And his voice claim is Roy Rakoon from talking Tom And friends.

Austin the King Buffalo - Austin the King Buffalo is Sam the eagle's parodie cousin counterpart, he is an King Buffalo from africa And he is a real King Buffalo, And just like how other ants listen to Harris' others, other buffalos listen to Austin's orders. His headcanon voice actor is Keith David, And his voice claim is flame King from adventure time.

Isabella - Isabella is Walter's parodie cosuin counterpart, she is a BIG fan of the parodies, especially a fan of Lucille And since she is a part of them, she is best friends with Ruby And she has a crush on her too. Her headcanon voice actress is Jennifer Hale, And her voice claim is Madison from class of 3000.

Ruby - Ruby is Scooter's parodie cousin counterpart, she helps Lucille with The Show, And she is Riley's little sister and Isabella's best friend, And she had a crush on Isabella, And Riley teases her with that.
