In terms of Bloodweave Astarion would absolutely have a competency kink.

I don’t think he’d be as feral for Professor Dekarios as the rest of us are but competent, confident Gale teaching? That would absolutely do things for him.

Gale’s skill with magic, especially post tadpole when most of his power had returned? Astarion would absolutely brag to EVERYONE how his wizard was the most talented.

I also have a thing for the idea of Gale being suave and charming in social settings he’s used to. Like how I imagine Gale grew up on the wealthier side, his mother absolutely taught him how to behave at snobby functions. I think Astarion would go into it expecting his autistic wizard to be exactly as he always is and then when Gale is absolutely the picture of charming upper class boy I think Astarion would be 1) completely dumbfounded to the point his own superficial charms would slip and 2) absolutely horny in a drag him off to a corner way.
