True, I hadn't considered that. I'm just trying to think how that would work to set up Benophie for s4. Because if Benedict doesn't notice Sophie for an entire year and then falls for her as the Lady in Silver... I don't know how that would work.

Or they could switch it up and have Benedict fall in love with Sophie before he tries to distract himself with the Lady in Silver.

I don't know, for all we know Benophie could have a coffe shop AU but Sophie is actually a spy or whatever trope they want to try their hand in next.
