The @co-wipadoption​ is almost there and I had the horrid realisation that I still need to create a summary. Don’t you love it when your fic is complete and then you realise that there’s more than the story? Ah well, I will live. In the meantime, have a little snippet:

We’ve gone to the next step. We’re video calling!

It’s morning in San Diego and evening in London. I’m doing my nails, again. Despite our new comradery, Penelope and I will never get manicures together, but she doesn’t mind that my hand is drying under my UV Led light.

She’s still Penelope, so of course she says: “There’s probably a spell for that.”

“Probably,” I say and I look at my wand that’s lying on the table. Then I shrug. “I like doing this Normally. I can use magic for other things.”

I have some more, but since I also have a lot to say, I’ll put it under the cut.

I do have a little snippet from Ebb and Flow, which is good, because in the past week I barely wrote anything for it and I have no clue where this dip came from. I wrote this snippet a few weeks ago, so 🤷‍♀️:

Connection error.

The game ends and Blaine’s back in the lobby. Kurt starts cursing. Did he also get kicked out? Usually when a player gets kicked out due to bad connection, the remaining players continue the match.

He can’t fully process that he just got kicked out, because there’s some unexpected noise coming from the other side of the wall. Mr. 21 is angry about something. Blaine cannot make out what he’s saying, since Kurt’s cursing is ringing through his headphones, but he doesn’t sound happy.

“Hang on,” Blaine says. He gets out of his chair and he bonks on the wall. He yells: “Everything alright?”

“What was that bonking?” Kurt asks, “Did that come from me or from you?”

“From me,” Blaine answers, “My neighbour sounds upset about something.”

“You sure? I think my neighbour just got mad at me for cursing.”

Kurt remains silent so that Blaine can listen for an answer from Mr. 21, but it doesn’t come. He shrugs and walks back to his monitor.

“Never mind then.”

Ah, the irony of the besties online, worsties offline. As @blurglesmurfklaine​ said, I’m a slut for that irony.

I have no clue why I suddenly can’t write for this fic, and since we’re this close to the end, that makes it suck even more. End, as in the end of the event (posting starts in 4 days 🤯), but also end, as in the end of the fic. I have the story beats in my head. They’ve been there for a while. But for some reason, I cannot seem to put it on paper. It is, as you can imagine, terribly frustrating. I’m now thinking about changing my game plan. I usually don’t write in order, so I hope to start on another part of the end today, so that I can get my creative juices flowing.

My creative juices (this is a Myosotis reference, I’m sorry for the no-context) are flowing for the other part of the Bang, though! I finally (finally!) started the art. I put the sketch lines and the more hard lines down on Monday.

And just this morning, I started the colouring. I planned on doing a watercolour background and a gouache foreground, but I realised I actually liked doing watercolours (it’s been a while), so I might do the full thing in watercolour. (Also, my gouache palette needs... a shower, so maybe it’s easier to do all watercolour.) Since gouache is opaque, and watercolour isn’t, I do have to get rid of the sketchlines first.

Might also try to fix the caulifower effect on that tree, though. The somewhat-cringe tape does lead to easy cauliflowers at edges. Ah well. (Oh, and I gave Blaine some glasses.)
