arknights r6s collab thoughts and predictions

really hyped for the new collab. they've revealed fuze and i assume he's going to be the free event operator, which is fine by me since i am a simpleton.

i think they're going to most likely add three new characters, rerun the previous banner and event, add one new event operator (fuze?) and two new gacha operators, one 6-star and one 5-star. unless they're going to go for the same split as the first collab, of two women and two men, one defender and attacker each.

assuming they'll only pick one attacker that's a man, i didn't predict anyone who falls to that category.

R6S x Arknights Part 2 Operators confirmed!

Iana(5* Dollkeeper)

Fuze (5* Centurion; Welfare)

Interesting roster of characters and classes. Iana’s Gemini Replicator (which will be her Doll) doesn’t deal damage in Rainbow Six Siege, so I wonder if they’ll make it a wholly utility Doll, like slowing down and inflicting minor Fragile on affected enemies. Ela seems to me like she’ll have plenty of Stuns from her Grzmot Mines, but that in itself doesn’t really set her apart from other Trapmasters all that much, so I’m really intrigued to see what they do with her.

Doc feels right as an Instructor; Incantation would be weird because Arts Damage doesn’t fit these gun-totters, plus Doc does belong sort of scooting behind someone else anyway. Fuze Centurion is pretty damn funny and I hope he can target Hostages and Civilians. I wonder if he’ll be a more burst-centric Centurion.

So what are your thoughts on the second AK x R6 Collab? Do you look forward to it?

Personally, I'm a little sad my boys Wamai, Jager, Glaz, etc didn't make the cut, nor any of the Nighthaven crew like Osa and Kali. This makes sense (HG's approach is basically isekaing the Rainbow crew into Arknights and passing them off as funny aliens in a world of animal people rather than using any Rainbow Six storylines, which is probably for the better), I'm just a little sad that among the new batch the only character I actually play often enough to call a main is Fuze.

That being said, I'm looking forward to it. Originium Dust was one of my favorite AK events, and I really liked how HG translated the R6 characters into its tower defense gameplay, they showed some real creativity along with a weirdly specific understanding of Siege memes (such as the Rainbow ops calling Tachanka, Lord Tachanka, which is not something that's canon to R6S that's an in-joke the players have because Tachanka is a terribly weak but beloved and fun character).

What makes me confident they'll bring that same creativity to translating their FPS gameplay into Arknights is that they made Doc an Instructor Guard. Like, holy shit, it takes a great understanding of Siege to see a medic character whose special skill is that he heals people and then NOT make him a Medic in AK.

Do you know why Doc's an Instructor Guard despite being a medic? Because when you actually see a Doc in a match of R6 Siege, they don't sit behind their allies pumping them with heals every time they take damage. You only have limited healing darts, and you can heal people at full HP to overheal. No. When you're fighting a Doc, you see him grab a partner (usually Rook), jamming them full of heals while their health is full to overdose on their HP, then healing HIMSELF to overdose his HP, and then both of them run out of cover guns blazing to kill as many Attackers as they can before they are blown to hell.

HG understands that well enough that instead of making him a medic, they make him the Guard class that sits behind another unit, buffing them but also meant to do DPS. That's fantastic, I am completely sure someone at HG remains a dedicated Siege player to this day.

Plus, I do love that the Free units on both R6S events are notoriously terrible but fan-favorite characters. Before his rework in R6S, Tachanka sucked ass, and after his rework he still wasn't picked competitively all that much, but he HAD to be the star of the event because he's Lord Tachanka with an LMG that rips through everything and is incredibly satisfying to use. In the same vein, Fuze is infamous for LOSING more games for his team than winning, since his gadgets are bouncing cluster bombs that often kill his teammates, the hostage they're rescuing, or even himself sometimes while completely missing actual enemies. You pick this guy and it's halfway to a loss already, so you're either a god on Fuze, a madman, maybe both, and that's absolutely why he's the next free unit. Now all of AK can get to experience griefing themselves with Fuze RNG. Fuck yeah.

I have played Rainbow Six Siege for years now. I never realized how deeply starved I was for a narrative in the Siege universe until I just started the Arknight cross-over event. My gods, we finally get to see more interactions! Between Operators! Iana and Ela are battle buddies!? Ash still calls Tachanka by his title of Lord?!

And then getting to hear about the Earth operators hanging out in Rhodes Island is even better!

It was about if Arknights had any Possible Crossovers that could happen in some far future, because they had one with Rainbow Six Siege, alot of people think Assassin's Creed, Dark Souls or Bloodborne would be great, which I totally Agree but then I saw this one which is actually really interesting.

To any Younger Gen Z living here,

Winx Club is a Popular Italian Cartoon, that us Older Gen Z, Zennials and Millennials grew up watching, it was dubbed by Rai English and 4kids then later on dubbed by Nickelodeon, those are the 3 major dubs you should only worry about.

The Basic Gist is about the story of Bloom and her friends, being Fairies and going to a magic Fairy School, called Alfea and fighting Evil Witches that for some reason is always targeting Bloom.

And to Non-Anime Fans, Millennials and Gen X people,

Arknights is a Tower Defense Anime Gacha Game, that has Knack for Tactical Strategy and essentially a War Game, with a Plot that could be described as a 'War Story' or 'Tearjerker'.So looking past the Anime Art style and Aesthetic, it's about Survival, Existential Crisis and having Hope in the most Hopeless scenarios.

So to the differences in Winx Club and Arknights:

Winx Club live in a clear-cut, Good Vs Evil story

While Arknights is about the sides of Good and Evil in the So called Dark and Light.

Winx Club's Characters have their Ideals and Ambitions laid out, it's clear on who they are and what they want to have

While Arknights makes you Question their Ideals and Ambitions to a greater Extent, what do they live for? what do they want to be? Is the concept of Togetherness truly worth it?

Outlook is Optimistic in Winx Club

Outlook is at best Realistic in Arknights

Now here are 3 Reasons why I want a Crossover of both of them

They have both Great music, while Winx Club stays on the Pop Genre, Arknights have multiple Genres, have you heard the Tynix transformation song in Italian and 'The Golden Age returns again' song from Arknights's Stultifera Navis Event.THEY ARE BOTH BANGERS.

Fashion, both Media is every Fashion and Character Designer's Wet Dream, I mean just look at Silverash, Specter or the R6 Collab Operators

The Idea of someone like Aisha finding out the Seaborn live in a society that is essentially a terrifying and Dark Utopia or Musa finding out that Yan is so Fragmented that they face Demons litterally Everyday and the only place you could have so called 'Peace' is Lungmen or even develop on their Story and let Tecna find out Ursus is really like Zenith but dark and twisted sense.

These characters live in a good Vs Evil Setting now I want them in a place that it's so morally grey that the Characters of Winx Club would Question on how the people live their lives here, considering the Oripathy litterally kills people cause it's Terminal Disease, so Bloom would feel utterly useless at this situation.

So that the only thing they could ever do is to quell whatever situation and bring them comfort.

Tell me what would you want to add if such a Random Crossover would happen? Other than it being Non Canon, of course.
