ygo sr! ocs In Outfits™️ from various time periods since it is A Time Travel Plot, more info abt koeru (and the effect of the void on her) 4kids dub names for Funsies, and...oc ship names in line with how ygo ships are normally named. YES it was necessary to do All the possibilities (well, okay, I didnt account for ALL of the possible polyships, but I did account for the ones that would in theory be the most Popular)

...I wrote out a LONG explanation of all the ship names under the cut that kinda appeals only to me...haha... :')c if any of these ship names are already taken...I couldnt find anything on them in the tumblr tags, so I'm. going to continue to call them this until evidence to the contrary.

aficionadoshipping (future!yawaraka/yunori) yunori and yawaraka are both aficionados about their interests, but future!yawaraka kicks it up to 100, and is also very Enthusiastically trying to sway yunori, calling her more than a labrat like he saw koeru as, but his old friend. yunori is reasonably freaked out. great ship if u like good/evil characters shipped together, hes the bowser to her peach etc.

dressupshipping (majo/yawaraka) yawaraka is kinda lowkey afraid of majo at first, falling for her spookygirl aes, but eventually he comes to respect her skill and dedication to costuming. the name comes from the fact he kinda gets way more into letting majo play dress up with him than yunori does, happily wearing anything she makes. girlboss/softboy type ship 100%

theatricshipping (majo/future!yawaraka) future!yawaraka taunts majo by saying he learned his villainous theatrics from how she always puts on a performance and never takes her mask off, so to speak, saying this knowing its smth shes sensitive about, making her really mad. shes only scary in aesthetic in a halloweeny-way, while hes genuinely trying to scare and or hurt ppl. the potential angst here. sick guitar riff

eerieshipping (majo/koeru) ship name based 100% off their aesthetics, lmao. majo puts herself between koeru and yunori to duel in yunori's stead at first to protect her from koeru, showing no fear, and claiming shes the scary queen. koeru is secretly glad later on majo was never afraid of her, and they eventually are friends :)

selfhelpshipping (future!yawaraka/yawaraka) …its a selfcestship. future!yawaraka does a LOT to help his past self, like going back and founding ChronoCorp and ensuring he gets a job/gets special treatment/gets away with anything unbeknownst to yawaraka. ofc this is all self-serving, but like. its ygo. gotta have those selfcest ships yk. yawaraka is Scared to Become future!yawaraka and future!yawaraka is mad his old self is ungrateful and doesnt appreciate the self love LMAO

The scene in Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Eyes of the Spider" (1998), in which Dankan accosts Sho Aokawa, a man who doesn't know/recognise him, on an outdoor bench, and half pettily, half coercively begs Aokawa to work for him, is supposed to be a tacitly tribute to a similar scene between Dankan and Takao Osawa at the end of Shinji Aoyama's film "Two Punks" (1996).

Aoyama used to be a college student and worked as an assistant director to Kurosawa.

always seen w/ leather-bound notebook, stuffed to overflowing with daily observations, musings and the names of those who have wronged them.

enjoys people-watching by the beach, sharing a meal with friends, speaking to snakes amongst grass and trees on the outskirts of town.

known to have turned half a town to stone in defence of a young woman, only to be chased out of town by the one they saved ; spent half a century wandering the world ; published two books under different aliases.

born in 1808 in tokugawa japan, the only child of a merchant family, mei shinohara thought themself ordinary for a long time. sure, they never really got the whole ' gender ' thing other people had going on, but other than that they were just another kid running around nagasaki.

and then. then, a rōnin gang broke into the family's home and threatened them at swordpoint, demanding they hand over all their valuables and food. mei's parents, from whom their intractable nature springs, refused — and paid the price. but before the gang could turn their swords on mei, something happened, and the men turned to stone.

it took mei nearly three decades of wandering japan to master their newfound abilities. for much of this time, they travelled blindfolded, unwilling to risk innocent lives, becoming something of a legend amongst their fellow travelers — a mysterious, blindfolded figure who would step between innocents and bandits without hesitation, cursing the bandits to turn to stones.

after the sakoku decree ended, mei left japan, looking for a change of scenery. they spent the next fifty years or so travelling the world, never staying anywhere long enough for people to notice their far too slow ageing. they took up writing during their travels, collecting notebooks and filling them with everything from sketches to poetry to short stories and essays.

finally, in the early 1900s, they moved to america, where they published their first book : a collection of poetry and sketches that they made whilst travelling. memoirs of a wanderer, the book was called, the author's name claimed to be yuusuke nakano. countless publishers and journalists vied to meet with the enigmatic author, but mei had already shed that identity and moved on to other things.

not long after this, seeking somewhere they could simply be themself, mei found oldham. to finally be amongst people they could be themself around was nothing short of a miracle, and they reveled in it. able to use their real name, able to wander the shore with a snake curled around one arm and not receive weird looks.

their second book was published fairly recently, in the 2010s, during a brief trip outside of oldham. the stones of aokawa, a youth fantasy novel about a girl who discovers that her supposedly-dead mother is actually a yōkai and embarks on a journey of self-discovery, its author listed as chihiro sumamoto.

these days, mei spends their time writing another book — this one drawing on their own experiences as a child — and patrolling the town, their notebook with the names of troublemakers who might benefit from a couple of hours as a statue carefully jotted down.

It’s called Unicorn Precure (ユニコーンプリキュア).

Theme: Fairytales, colors, friendship & gemstones. Plot: There exists a land called Unicornia. In Unicornia magical creatures exist and live in harmony. Also in Unicornia is the Rainbow Crystal. One day a dark evil force attempted to steal the colorful crystal. The king and queen of Unicornia sent a mascot (a chibi unicorn named Cotton Candy) to earth along with the crystal to find 7 warriors of Precure Transformation device: lotion activated by the ring colors (Similar to ring tones from Suite Precure).

Akemi Aino/Cure Red: She’s a 16 year old tomboyish girl who loves baseball, roses, skulls, blood, romance, apples, and war. She lives with her mother, father, brother, and sister in a small house where there’s rose bushes and apple trees. She's got an anger problem. She’s got short dark red hair, red eyes, fair skin, and her school uniform contains red on it. She is the holder of the Ruby gem. Her name translates to "lovely red beauty". When she transforms she is "The hot color of love, Cure Red." Her elemental power is love.

Homura Tachibana/Cure Orange: She’s a 16 year old tomboyish girl who loves baking, cooking, skateboarding, fireworks, explosives, and soccer. Second orange cure to bake. She’s got dark orange (brown) hair styled in two medium length pigtails, orange eyes, fair skin, and her school uniform contains orange on it. She is the holder of the Amber gem. Her name translate to "wild orange flame". When she transforms she's "The fiery color of courage, Cure Orange!" Her elemental power is fire.

Akira Huang/Cure Yellow: She’s a 16 year old energetic girl who loves anything shiny, glitter, parties, tennis, robots, gemstones, and making jewelry. She’s half Taiwanese half Japanese. Third biracial yellow cure. She’s got long dark yellow hair styled in twin braided pigtails with bows at the end of them, yellow eyes, fair skin, and her school uniform contains yellow on it. She’s the holder of the Topaz gem. Her name translates to "bright clear yellow". When she transforms she's "The bright color of happiness, Cure Yellow!" Her elemental power is light.

Midori Hanabusa/Cure Green: She’s a 16 year old shy bubbly girl who loves flowers, poison, science, magic, botany, animals, golf, fairies, fashion, and dragons. 3rd official green cure that’s all green. She’s got medium length dark green hair styled in a braided ponytail, green eyes, fair skin, and wears green on her school uniform. She’s the holder of the emerald gem. Her name translates to "green flower room". When she transforms she's "The Fresh color of harmony, Cure Green!" Her elemental power is flowers/nature.

Mizuki Aokawa/Cure Blue: She's a 16 year old patient bookworm full of wisdom. Her interests are reading, writing literature, mermaids, collecting seashells, dolphins, ice hockey, video games, and plushies. Unlike most of the blue cures she’s not “boring” she’s at least somewhat entertaining. She’s got long cerulean hair put in a ponytail, blue eyes, and fair skin. She’s got blue on her school uniform. She’s the holder of the sapphire gem. Her name translates to "blue water river moon". When she transforms she's "The truthful color of wisdom, Cure Blue!" Her elemental power is water.

Aiko Yukimura/Cure Indigo: She’s a 16 year old mysterious quiet oddball. First official indigo cure. Her interests are magic tricks, alchemy, calligraphy, badminton, drawing, tai chi, ghosts, LARPING, chess, magic 8-balls, and felines. She’s got dark blue-violet long hair in a bun with a headband, blue-violet eyes, fair skin, and her school uniform has indigo on it. She’s the holder of the lapis gem. Her name translates to "indigo snow village child". When she transforms she is "The mysterious color of integrity, Cure Indigo!" Her elemental power is snow/ice.

Tamami Murasaki/Cure Violet: She’s a 16 year old aloof rich girl who’s into fashion, magic, witchcraft, collecting crystal skulls, voodoo dolls, and shrunken heads. She’s got long dark purple hair, purple eyes, fair skin, and she’s got purple on her school uniform. She’s the holder of the amethyst gem. Her name translates to "beautiful purple gem". When she transforms she is "The Magical color of wealth, Cure Violet!" Her elemental power is lightning.

Cotton Candy: She's a chibi white unicorn with a pastel pink mane. She's a bubbly unicorn who loves painting and gemstones.

A Crossdressing Cosplayer Gets a Brother by Aokawa Nana

The title explains everything.

Read through Chapter 12.3.

Pretty cute. Nothing really of substance, but very sweet. I don't... know how their relationship will change once Louis (the younger, French brother) learns that Masaki (the older, Japanese brother) is the girl he's been chasing after/"dating". The series keeps making jokes about their relationship being sketchy, in a way that makes me feel like it... prooooobably won't turn into a broXbro thing, but it's kind of vague so far. There's a little girl with a crush on Louis, though, so maybe he'll far in love with her after he learns the truth? I don't know. Anyway, cute series, wouldn't mind reading more at some point.
