A/N: OMG I've had this idea for a while now. I know some things don't make sense like being able to have a call from earth to pandora but just imagine it ok? Leave your thoughts below! Also if you see typos, blink. U didn't see anything, nuh-uh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The airship stood ready. Only a few humans were allowed to stay on Pandora and Parker Selfridge wasn't one of them. Neytiri's and Jake's eyes followed him as he stood in line, walking up to the airship with slow steps, his head hung low in shame and guilt. As he passed the couple, Jake had to hold his mate back from scratching his eyes out. It didn't stop Parker from walking up to them, barely finding the confidence to look them in the eyes.
"You know this isn't over?" he mumbled, but Jake didn't say anything. He only gestured him to board the ship. Parker swallowed heavily, turned to leave but ended up facing the tall couple again.
"Sully, I know I cannot ask this of you but... earth is no place for a child to grow up..." his voice was not much more than a whimper. Jake could see his wet eyes through his oxygen mask as he began to shake.
"She's all I have left, she's not responsible for my mistakes. I can't take her back with me, she's still too young for the cryo capsules. She will die, Jake."
For a second, the ex-marine's mask fell. He pursed his lips, closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"And you want me to take care of her?" Jake asked while Norm and Max approached as well.
Parker hesitantly nodded with his teeth clenched.
"I beg you..." he whimpered as shameful tears blurred his vision and his shaking intensified.
Neytiri didn't understand much of their conversation, yet she had figured out what he wanted. A man like him had only few to none weaknesses, but his daughter was one of them, probably the only one.
"I can't take her with me..." Parker whispered as more tears filled his eyes. Jake gave his two colleagues a questioning look and they shrugged.
"We're already looking after Miles, a playmate in his age can't hurt his evolution" Norm shrugged and Max copied his expression.
Jake only sighed and even Neytiri calmed down. Even if his daughter was a human, she was innocent. She couldn't hate a baby that had done no harm.
Parker's eyes switched to Norm, his shameful frown turned into a slight smile.
"You would take care of my little girl?" he asked for clarification, and the scientists agreed. What could one more human do after all?
~~~
It's been many years since that day where your father departed. He continued to live on earth, the planet that fell apart while you grew up on pandora. The scientists took good care of you even if they sometimes had the urge to simply throw you out into the wilds without your exopack. As you got older, Norm always shook it off as going through puberty while Max insisted on it being the genes of your father. An annoying teenager with a big mouth. A brat. An absolute pain in the ass, as the doctor liked to call it.
"Hey princess~" Miles, better known as Spider, sang from across the room, mocking you with one of the many nicknames your father gave you whenever he called from earth.
You looked up from the table you sat on, dropping the papers you held in one hand.
"Look, it's the monkey boy." you mumbled back unimpressed.
After all these years you had grown up like siblings, living together for all your life, but you wouldn't call him a friend. You two were way too different. Sometimes you even fought because of all the differences between the two of you.
He approached you with a grin, hiding something behind his back.
"I got you something!" Spider exclaimed as he took a seat on the table before you.
"How about you get yourself a detangling brush first?" you lifted one of his dreads with two fingers, dropping them to hit his face while your expression twisted in disgust.
Now it was Spider's turn to roll his eyes. "Good, then I'll keep it."
You crossed your legs and leant back against your chair, holding one hand out to him.
Spider crossed his legs too and dropped something into your hand. As you retrieved your hand you took a close look at the object he had placed in the palm of your hand.
"You gifted me... a piece of wood?"
"That's an arm ring! I've spent weeks carving it, you better be thankful."
With a confused look you tried it on but it slipped up to your elbow right away.
"Bit large, is it?" you scoffed, watching the wooden accessories dangle around your arm, checking how far it went up.
"You made me a collar, dude."
He only huffed and shook his head.
"I know what I made. Just wait, you'll see. Happy birthday you ungrateful brat." While Spider got up and left, probably to see the Sullys, you took a close look at the arm ring until Norm and Max walked in with a tablet.
They were currently on a call, so you didn't bother. Only when you heard your father's voice you sprung up and sprinted over to the two scientists, snatching the device from Norms grip, much to his dislike.
"Daddy?" an excited smile spread over your entire face, "can you hear me?"
You saw his visage on the monitor, he was dressed in one of his button shirts, as usual. Had you ever even seen him in other clothes anyways?
He had a little delay, but as soon as he saw your face in the camera his expression matched yours perfectly.
"Hey, my little princess, I'm sorry I couldn't call you earlier. Happy birthday sweetheart, how is my pretty girl doing?" he asked you as you sat down on your desk, leaning the tablet against a microscope.
You ignored the discussion about your audacious behavior between Max and Norm in the background and focused on the call with your father.
"Well, it would've been better if I would've gotten the cake that I specifically asked for!" The two scientists rolled their eyes as you raised your voice towards the end of your sentence, sending death glares to the two men who still argued how long it would take for Parker to come back to Pandora to kill them if they actually locked you out of the labs without your exopack.
"I'm sorry my dear darling, there must have been a misunderstanding. You'll get your cake, I- wait, what are you wearing, princess? What is that?"
Your father's look was struck with concern as he noticed your cropped tight shirt.
"Oh yeah, I cut it off. It's cool, right?"
You got up and spun around, but Parker only sunk his face into his hands.
"They let you run around like this? And your pants, what's this?"
"These are cargo shorts, dad. Calm down."
"Yeah shorts! They're too short! My princess, please put on some more clothing, will you?"
With a frown you looked down on yourself, not seeing an issue with your outfit.
"Good thing you're gonna have to change soon anyways."
You didn't understand why, until Norm and Max finally walked up to you after calming themselves.
"You know that you haven't been allowed to go to the med station, right? And now I can finally tell you why, my dear. Daddy organized for you to get your own avatar, isn't that cool? You get to connect with it and then you can go out and play!"
"Selfridge, we talked about that. It's dangerous out there, this is no playground." Max interfered, but Parker just shrugged while you squealed and cheered in excitement, clapping your hands while hopping on your chair.
"When do I get to try it out?! Can we go now? I can't wait to get outside without this annoying mask!" you asked Norm and he led the way.
"It's all ready and waiting for you."
~~~
You quickly got used to your avatar. The scientists weren't fine with the fact that you went outside in it alone, so you mostly snuck out without their knowledge getting scolded as soon as you returned, also by your father. He wanted you to live a happy and safe life on pandora. Sometimes you went out with Spider or the Sully kids, learning how to hunt and survive, but the Na'vi half breeds didn't take you in like they did with Spider. In the lab, you learned a lot about science. The older scientists taught you everything about all kinds of biological and medical knowledge. Even if you had a big mouth, they could at least work with you, and that made it a lot more bearable for them.
As the Sully's had to flee from their home and Spider was also missing, things changed for everyone. You still stayed in the lab until one day, your godfathers stormed in, telling you to pack up and get everything into the helicopter as soon as possible. He explained on the way to Awa'atlu what had happened and that Kiri needed medical help.
You were in your human body as you landed, jumped out of the helicopter and grabbed your med bag.
Many metkayina had gathered at the shore as the Samson landed. They were visibly terrified of the helicopter and, even more than that, afraid of Max and you since you both were humans.
Jake told his oldest son to keep everyone away while Lo'ak hurried over to you as well.
"Where is she?" you called out loudly, your voice fighting against the noises of the rotors. Lo'ak quickly lead the way, passing through the villagers which gave you all terrified or angry looks. They had been told that you were here to help but that didn't keep them from being frightened and yet curious.
You followed Lo'ak, making your way through the teal skinned giants as quickly as possible. Close to the marui that Kiri layed in someone blocked your path, gazing at you in curiosity. You looked up to the young metkayina man and clicked your tongue.
"Get your blue ass out of my way!" you snarled in perfect Na'vi, much to the boy's surprise. His blue eyes widened as he stared at you completely dumbfounded, jaw dropping as you pushed him away fiercly, leading him to stumble backwards.
His breath hitched at your touch. It was the first time in his life he had ever been in physical contact with a demon. There was something boiling up deep inside of him. No matter how much he wanted to murder those sky people, he was curious about your fierceness. He wanted to know more about you somehow. You were only a tiny little creature from another star and you still didn't seem to be scared of him the slightest. He blinked a few times, being completely perplexed by the fact that you just pushed him off and walked past him, the future olo'eyktan without the slightest bit of respect.
While Neytiri freaked out about her daughter you listened to Lo'ak who explained what had exactly happened to Kiri, so you got everything ready to run a few checks on the unconscious girl.
Soon, Norm in his avatar and Max rushed over too.
"Why did you bring this little missy anyways?! As if she's of any help!"
You heard Jake hiss, his fangs flashing.
"She has learned a lot, Jake. We taught y/n and believe it or not, she knows what she's doing." Norm answered, getting the equipment ready with you and the other scientist.
"Call me missy again and I'll sedate you, Sully." you growled while getting out more utensils from your back.
Jake watched you closely as you measured Kiri's blood pressure.
"Don't forget who I am. Without my father you'd still sit in that silly wheelchair. He payed your blue legs, remember that." you added, your eyes meeting his ones for a moment and he internally swore he'd kill you if you wouldn't be helping his daughter right now.
"Your father might be rich but that's not gonna help you here, so drop that attitude and do your thing!"
You simply rolled your eyes before refocusing on the unconscious Na'vi.
The three of you tried your best until Neytiri finally took matters into her own hands and Ronal, the metkayina tsahik worked her magic.
During that time, you decided to have a talk with Jake and your godfathers.
The problem was that they wanted someone to run test on Kiri regularly now, but they were both needed in the Hallelujah mountains. All eyes landed on you.
"Oh, and how exactly do you plan on doing this, smart heads?" you scoffed, crossing your arms in front of your chest. Max brought up the idea of bringing one of the link shacks over here, together with your avatar so you could take care of Kiri. The decision was made quickly and Jake went to ask Tonowari for green light, dragging you with him.
He led you through the village, the metkayina still stared at you in curiosity and angst. As you stood before the olo'eyktan you greeted him traditionally and in fluent Na'vi.
The tall man eyed you with curiosity as well, but spoke to you soon.
"You're a human tsakarem?" he asked, supporting himself on his staff.
"More or less. I'm a-" you thought about a way to translate it to him in Na'vi, "an explorer, a student. I learned about plants and animals, Na'vi too. I can heal people to a certain point too, yes."
He understood and nodded in silence while he mustered you closely. Next to him, two younger Na'vi appeared, also glancing at you, up and down.
One of them you had seen before, it was the guy that stood in your way earlier. His eyes especially drilled into your body.
The two of you tried to explain to the metkayina why they needed you here and how you had imagined it to work.
After careful consideration he allowed it and granted you to do as planned. It was the first time that their clan collaborated with a human, but if it was needed to ensure Kiri's safety he saw no other option.
During the entire negotiation, Ao'nung had circled you like a predator his prey but you weren't surprised. Bothered? Maybe.
~~~
Norm, Max and you went back home only to pack your things, prepare a link shack and bring it over within 24 hours. The three of you set everything up as quickly as you could.
Tonowari and Ronal watched the entire scene. Their daughter Tsireya had helped you carrying a few things into an empty marui where your avatar could rest properly.
Meanwhile their son Ao'nung was rather spooked by you which didn't keep him from annoying you. He stood next to his father but came closer to touch the link share for not much more than a second.
You watched him in confusion. 'As if my link shack is gonna kill him..' you thought and shook your head.
Lo'ak and Neteyam came to help you as well. As the younger brother passed you held him by his arm.
"Don't tell me that's the future olo'eyktan?"
Lo'ak huffed and nodded.
"Already beat him up with Neteyam some weeks ago. He's really a pain in the ass. Almost like you~" he teased.
"Like me?" you repeated in disbelief, raising your eyebrows at his words.
"You're both some offspring of men with influence, have a big mouth and you both have a problem with your attitude."
"One brat is already too much. Please don't befriend him, I can't even take one of you at a time." Neteyam chimed in before Tonowari called you, gesturing you to come closer and you did.
He had chosen his two children to help you get to know these lands better and shared that information with you, much to Ao'nungs disliking while Tsireya hoped to learn from you.
You turned on your heel, an unamused frown showing on your face before you called out to the brothers in english.
"You really had to jinx it, huh?!"
As your eyes wandered over to Tonowari's son, his gaze met yours. He was not happy about his father's decision but the knew that there was no point in arguing to he swallowed his protest and simply clicked his tongue.
Tsireya made her way over to you and kneeled so she was on eye level with you.
"How does this... thing work?" she asked, "what does it do?"
You mustered Tsireya from top to bottom. Even if she was still careful, Lo'ak seemed to be cool with you, and she trusted him.
"Come, come." With one hand you gestured her to follow you in, walking up the bright yellow metal stairs. The noise they made left Tsireyas ears twitching, but that didn't keep her from getting up, touching the iron stairs with her hand first before she followed with feather light steps. You held the door out for her and closed it as soon as she was in the airlock.
She didn't understand what you were doing as she crouched and observed how you pressed a few buttons.
"Don't get scared." you warned her with a monotonous voice. Before she could ask, a weird sound, too loud for her taste, filled the airlock and she could feel a windy breeze all around her body as she covered her ears.
You however took off your mask in relief and shook your hair a few times, taking in a very deep breath.
"Ahhh, this is so much better!" you cheered, running a hand through your hair.
The metkayina girl watched how you dropped yourself in your office chair, legs crossed.
"Look around, but don't touch anything."
The Na'vi did as you told and scanned the entire shack link. It was indeed rather small in here, but that explained why you were in your human body.
As you watched the ocean in the distance you took another deep breath. This was your new working place now. Far away from Max and Norm. From the forest, from everything you had known.
~~~
Tsireya was eager to learn from you to share her knowledge with her mother while Ao'nung circled you in silence. He often watched you through the window while you were working and he eventually grew more and more curious about all these devices. And about you too.
You got yourself a petri dish and marked it with a sharpie. Tsireya had brought you some local plants as samples so you could examine them closer. With one hand you adjusted your headphones that you wore during work. The cap of the sharpie was held by your teeth until you put it back onto the marker so it wouldn't dry out.
Once you placed the petri dish onto the table you turned to get yourself another petri dish as you looked up to a teal wall. Ao'nung towered you, blocking your way as he leaned over your shoulder to see what you where doing.
In panic you dropped the sharpie and raised your hands to rip off your headphones, shrieking loudly.
"How the fuck did you get in, idiot?! What are you doing here?!"
Ao'nungs eyes narrowed before he gestured towards the door. Sitting in your chair you were absolutely tiny next to his tall figure. You gulped as he came even closer but only to look past you and onto the table.
"I watched how you always get in. I'm supposed to be looking after you, remember?" he mumbled coldly before he straightened his back, hitting his head on the ceiling, causing the lamps to dangle around.
He hissed before he held his head and his empty gaze turned into a frown.
You clicked your tongue and facepalmed at his clumsiness, but it didn't stop there. As Ao'nung turned around he wiped half of your table with his thick tail, including the petri dish. The sound of glass shattering had you both flinching.
"Hey, careful!" you shouted at the man before he continued to check out the link shack. Your scent filled his airways and his pupils dilated. The sweet smell was everywhere, but apart from your desk it was strongest on your bunk bed and the link unit. With two fingers he poked into the silicone-like bedding of the link unit, slightly disgusted by the feeling. He got closer to the monitor next to it and accidentally turned the machine on with a few touches and presses as he tried to get a feeling for the material.
As soon as you were done cleaning the glass shards off of the floor and sorted the papers, books and other stuff from the desk back to where they belonged you charged after him.
"Stop fucking touching everything, god damn!" you hurried over to the link unit, squeezed yourself past Ao'nung and slammed the big red button to stop the machine from loading.
The boy only grunted and looked around some more, fumbling some objects in curiosity. You took a deep breath before exhaling with a loud frustrated yell, yet you silenced yourself as you heard your tablet ringing.
Too bad that Ao'nung stood closer to the device and grabbed it at the wierd noises it made. The screen showed something he couldn't read and two big circles.
"No, Ao'nung, you give me that right now! I swear if you press the green button-"
Before you could end the sentence he had done exactly what you told him not to do, just to see what would happen. There must have been a reason for your pale face as soon as the tablet made these alarming noises.
"Hey my pretty- y/n? Y/n?! Who is this, where is my daughter?!"
Ao'nung watched the tiny human that showed up on the display closely, baring his teeth at his foreign language and his aggressive tone.
"Dad, don't worry, I can hear you, I'm all good."
"Who is this savage!? What is he doing in your link shack, princess!?" Ao'nungs tail whipped angrily as your father got louder.
"He's a mess, daddy, that's what he is. Can you hang up and I call you back later?" you groaned as the metkayina boy growled, his fangs peeking out from between his lips more. Parker was completely confused what this indigenous boy did in your link shack and why he could only hear you but not see you.
"Are you alright? My sweetheart, please don't tell me you found yourself one of these indigenous monkeys!?"
Instantly you felt your face heating up at his words.
"Dad, no- what? No, he's supposed to be teaching me but right now he's just turning my shack upside down- I'll call you later, it's a long story. Can you please hang up? I can't reach my tablet cause this dumbass took it!"
The metkayina only growled louder and puffed his chest, tapping around on the screen wildly and ended the call accidentally. It probably was better anyway.
"Who is this demon?!He's not one of your people, is he?" he barked and dropped the device, you caught it in the last second before it could fall onto the ground.
As soon as you put the tablet away you grabbed the end of Ao'nungs queue and dragged him towards the airlock with all your force. He hissed in pain but gave in. Once you had gotten him into the airlock you sprinted back in and barricaded the metal door as quickly as you could. With one arm you supported yourself against your desk, panting quietly.
"Get out right now! You've messed up enough, idiot!" Ao'nung sent a deadly gaze through the window, still growling in fury. His ears tilted flat against his head and he turned on his heel and left in frustration. You held your forehead with one hand and sunk your face into your palm.
'Great... How do I explain this to my dad.."
~~~
Ao'nung wasn't allowed to get into your shack ever since. Tsireya on the other hand came around often, sometimes even for hours. You learned from each other, about the local plants and animals. Both of you were fascinated with the knowledge of each other and you took notes about everything, sometimes with Norm on the line to exchange some informations directly. You checked on Kiri every now and then, taking her blood tests and scans as Max had taught you.
Sometimes your father called too, to see how you were doing.
"You're telling me that Spellman and Dr. Patel took your link shack and avatar to an island far away to study there and take care of Augustine's daughter?!" Everytime you remembered his words, you pursed your lips and facepalmed yourself mentally. At least all of this left you with more freedom since you could come and go home whenever you wanted and work until the early morning without the scientists scolding you.
You walked through the village with a few leafs you had collected for research, passing your avatar's marui in the village. For a second you froze as you heard a familiar voice from inside.
"What is this?" you heard Ao'nung mumble, so you decided to take a peek in. He crouched next to your avatar and examined it closely. He held your arm up to check your hand closely. "Four fingers and a thumb, like the Sullys..."he mumbled to himself and compared your hand to his own. With crossed arms you watched him mustering your body curiously, fumbling with your tail.
"Baby tail..." he huffed, shaking his head with a grin that was hidden to you since you faced his back.
This was your chance.
Silently stepping backwards until you were out of range you turned around and sprinted to your link shack.
He lifted one of your avatar's lids. Yellow irises, like he had expected. As he let go, he noticed that your eye stayed open. "Oh, shit!" he whispered in panic, carefully trying to lower your lid. Both of his hands were held up and he prayed that he didn't break anything. A cold shower ran down his back, hoping that your eye stayed close.
He was about to run off quickly but you were quicker and ripped both eyes open, grabbing his wrists tight.
Ao'nung screamed, eyes wide open himself. As he tried to pull his arms away he lost his balance and fell onto his back. Once you let go of him he crawled as far away as possible until his back met the wall of your marui.
He felt a drop of sweat rolling down his forehead while his chest was heaving, jaw to the floor.
You sat up, unable to hold your laugh at his ridiculous look.
"You-" some more laughs escaped yoir lips, "you should see yourself!"
Ao'nung wasn't amused at all. He tried to calm and collect himself, returning to his usual cold gaze before he simply got up and left. Still laughing out loudly until your belly ached you followed him to the shore.
"Very funny, y/n." his eyes rolled at his own words.
"Why didn't you just tell me you wanted to see me in my avatar?" you giggled, holding one hand on your belly, but Ao'nung didn't even look at you.
"How could I? You locked me out of your demon box."
"Demon box?" you repeated in amusement, "more like 'your rage room'"
He had never heard that before but it was pretty self explanatory, even to him. With a loud call he had an ilu coming his way and he signalled you to get closer.
"My turn to have fun. Get on."
You huffed as the ilu rose it's head out of water, greeting you with a few fin slaps on the surface.
The look on his face told you that he wasn't joking around.
"I've never done this-"
"I know. But you are here to learn, so get on."
As the lesson ended, Ao'nung was indeed the one to laugh, much to your dislike. Yet it had fascinated you to learn about Awa'atlu. The animals, the ocean, the metkayina culture and also about Ao'nung. There was something about him that worked like a magnet on you.
~~~
As the weeks and months went by in no time, you found yourself spending a lot of time with him as well. He thought that, in your human form at least, he was always five steps ahead of you, but your big mouth and attitude easily kept up with his despite being half his size.
Like every day you sat on your desk, examining more plants. Ao'nung had gathered them at the bottom of the reef for you since he could hold his breath longer than you.
It was a pretty wholesome gesture. It felt like getting a bouquet of flowers. Many times you had woken up to some new samples in the airlock of your shack, but he was too proud to tell you that he had brought them. His sister on the other hand had shared this information with you.
A loud knock made you straighten your back and look to the door. Ao'nungs face was showing through the window next to the airlock, so you raised your hands and shoulders as to ask what he wanted. He pointed at a fish he held, so you decided to roll your chair back and grabbed your exopack to meet him outside.
Being the impatient brat he was, he opened the outer door and stepped into the airlock.
"You're not getting in here ever again!" you called out and gestured him to get back out, but he didn't listen. He pressed a button to his right which filled the small cabin with oxygen and opened the inner door.
"What did I tell you about my shack?!" you barked and blocked his way with the door and your petite body.
"Let me in."
You leaned against the door as he tried to push it open, but it didn't help much, you had no chance against him.
"I'm not touching anything."
"You better not, moron."
With that you closed the door behind him and walked over to your medical equipment, loading a tranquilizer gun, just in case. You quickly wrapped the belt with the gun holster around your waist, closing the buckle on the side.
Ao'nung placed the fish on a metal table on a corner as you turned back to him.
"My sister, uhm... she told me to bring you this." he muttered, scratching his neck with one hand, looking around to ensure he wasn't touching anything again.
"Your sister?" your brows furrowed with a sceptical look on your visage. "I didn't know she goes hunting too?"
"She doesn't but... i think she said she got it from one of the hunters."
Lying wasn't his stronghold.
You leaned against your desk and looked back to the bright colored fish before the corners of your lips curled up and your eyes softened.
"Then tell this random hunter that I am forever thankful for this rare, exquisite sample."
Ao'nungs eyes were gleaming in happiness, no matter how hard he tried to play it cool. His wagging tail betrayed him.
"Noted."
"This is the first time i get to see this species with my own eyes. Whoever caught it must me a mighty hunter. Well, too bad it wasn't you." you grinned, then crossed your arms.
Ao'nungs ears turned to you with his mouth agape before his eyes narrowed again.
"As if I care that much about you."
Awkward silence fell upon the two of you as you observed each other closely. In order to change the subject the young man cleared his throat, looking around your shack.
"What were you doing there?"
He pointed at the microscope and leaned in a bit, supporting himself on his knees. As you looked down to the desk you decided to take a seat, then waved him over to you. Ao'nung came closer and looked at the microscope as you leaned against the lenses, correcting the settings so the blurry image became clear.
You retreated and leant back into the chair, pulling the tranquilizer gun from it's holster.
"Look through here. But don't touch anything or I'll shoot a dart into your blue ass that will put you to sleep within seconds, you get that into your smooth brain?"
Ao'nungs eyes widened as you held the gun up to him, so he lifted his hands to his shoulders as if he would surrender.
He did as you told him to, examined the piece of tissue with an open mouth.
"What is that?" he mumbled, observing the structure of the cells he could see for the first time in his life.
"We call it microscope. Anything looks thousands of times bigger under there. I'm sure I could almost see your brain with that thing." you huffed, lowering the gun a bit as you noticed Ao'nung holding still and completely losing himself in the complex cell pattern.
He stared for quite a while before you got another sample from the fridge and switched the glass slides.
"These are the corals that someone got me two days ago."
He carefully supported his hands on the desk and you could see him smile at your words. Over the next thirty minutes you showed him some of the rarest and most unique samples you had collected over the last months. Neither of you would've thought that this actually interested him. Or was he just interested in what you were doing? Ao'nung himself couldn't tell.
"These look incredible..." he mumbled as you showed him the tissue he had gathered from an akula. How had he even done this? Nobody but him knew.
"The rich and wealthy demon brat actually has something interesting to show, huh?" he mocked and moved away from the microscope to which you only smirked and held the gun up to his neck for a second before lowering it again with a quiet laugh.
Your mind wandered off for a moment, forehead creasing at your thoughts.
"Why did you feel the need to disobey my orders and come in here?"
You asked, to which his expression softened for a second.
"I can't take you seriously with that weird mask. Looks stupid on you."
You couldn't help but frown, before he added something that actually caught you offguard.
"I prefer to see your full face like this."
A lump was stuck in your throat. It was the first time the na'vi actually made you an honest compliment.
"Ao'nung..." you mumbled in mental absence, your eyes fell on his lips for a second and he noticed, his ears tilted and his tail whipped around once. Luckily it only hit the underside of the table, which ripped you out of your trance for a moment.
"Wow, who could've guessed you can actually be nice, Ao'nung."
He didn't know what to say or do in this situation since his words surprised himself. Never had he thought he would grow fond of a human, not to talk about a human that aimed a tranquilizer gun at him.
You noticed how his chest was already starting to heave. All this time in here he had only breathed oxygen. Of course his lungs were well trained but he still started to struggle due to the adrenaline rushing through him. You too felt your heart pounding in your chest, up to your throat.
"Actually, no. You still look ridiculous, even without the mask." With that his usual expression returned. He'd rather tease you than to be in this weird situation and admit that you were on his mind constantly.
You stood up from the chair and tried to make yourself as tall as possible before him, gun in hand.
"pretty brave words for a fish face, now get out of my lab before I send you to earth."
~~~
Ao'nung held his promise and came by the next day, and the next, and it repeated itself every day for months. He had gotten you more fishes, grasses, shells, crustaceans and flowers. You didn't even know where to put them, but it had turned in some kind of ritual. Anything he found he brought to you, and now that he was even allowed in your shack again you often found a bunch of collected goods from all around, also his mother's ointments at your desk.
Sometimes you even woke up to him kneeling in front of the microscope, inspecting your samples or watching and listening to your video logs, even if he didn't understand your mother language. Who could've thought he'd get so obsessed with your work?
By now he had gotten familiar with your devices ans spent so much time around that he had to wear a mask as well for a few deep breaths here and there, that was all he needed.
As you got out of your bed and walked over to the young man he was already crouching in front of the desk, looking through the microscope.
"Don't you have to complete your iknimaya, smooth brain?" you asked mockingly while fixing your hair.
Aonung looked over to you with a cocky grin.
"Right, other than you I don't inherit my wealth, I work for it."
"Says the clan leader's son." you huffed with rolling eyes.
Ao'nung copied your expression before looking back to through the lenses.
"Ao'nung, can we talk?"
He didn't like the sound of your voice. His stomach turned at what you had just said, ears flat against his head.
As he looked up to you with narrowed eyes he could feel his heart rate quicken.
With one hand you flipped a switch on the microscope and turned it off before you took a deep breath.
"See, I'm happy you're helping me. Without you I would've never gotten all these informations, but it's getting... out of hand. It's too much. I have no storage space for all the samples you're bringing me. I appreciate it but please, tone that down."
Something about him visibly changed. His look turned all serious, a hint of disappointment reflected in his blue eyes.
"I understand..." he mumbled in a cracking voice once the big lump was gulped down, after which he got up and left your lab without another word. His head hung low as he dragged himself out and away, not looking back once.
You had expected it to be an unpleasant conversation, but Ao'nung acted as if you had just filed for divorce.
You quickly got into your avatar and went out to look for him, but he was nowhere to be found. As Tsireya and Lo'ak saw you searching for her brother they walked up to you, asking if you needed help and you quickly explained the situation.
Lo'ak earned a smack against his stomach as he huffed while you didn't understand what was happening.
She lead you into the marui she shared with her family as they where all gone. Lo'ak followed you and sat down with the two of you.
Tsireya didn't know how to say it or even where to start to Lo'ak took it into his own hands.
"You said you told him that you didn't want his gifts?"
You sighed and shook your head.
"I told him it's... too much. I don't know where to put all these things."
The girl took a deep breath and took your nervous hands into her own ones.
"You're not really that much acquainted with... courting rituals, are you?"
Her question had you blush slightly, cheeks tinted in a violet veil. A few blinks later you stammered a needlessly long version of a no, so she shifted her position a bit, trying to find the right words.
"So, if a male Na'vi is interested in a female, he goes hunting for her and brings her food. Now, since you're mostly in your human body and most things are inedible for your kind, i think he brought you some other rare things you value."
Speechless as you where you only continued to blink in silence, nervously biting onto your lower lip.
"He's trying to court you and rejecting his gifts, it's pretty bad. Ao'nung got himself into a lot of trouble for all the things he brought you, even father has argued with him already. But he took your words as a rejection, which in our culture translates to 'I don't value your life'. It's almost as bad as mating with someone else."
Now it all made sense.
You couldn't say anything for what felt like an eternity.
The inner corners of your eyes began to burn and soon, your vision blurred.
"Hey, you couldn't know, it's alright." Loak mumbled, placing a hand on your shoulder. Neither you nor him knew that you could be so weak and it was the first time that you felt this stinging pain in your chest. It hurt, but you were sure that Ao'nung was feeling much worse.
"We need to find him." Tsireya mumbled and got up, gathering a few friends to look for her brother before anything could happen to him.
~~~
It was already past eclipse and Ao'nung still wasn't back. Slowly but surely you got seriously worried about him. His friends had lead the party of you all to a few spots he liked to hang out at, but he was nowhere to be found.
Even his father helped searching eventually. As you paired up with him you apologized to the olo'eyktan for causing this trouble, but he wasn't mad at you the slightest. He knew that his son had never shown interest in anyone. He had rejected many pretty young women in the clan before, but you where the first one to -accidentally- reject him. In fact, he was happy to see him spending time with you after all. Ao'nung seemed to warm up a bit since he visited you on a daily basis and he eargerly talked about the things that he had learned from a human tsakarem. That was what they referred to you, as the clan leader had told you.
As you came back to the village empty handed you apologized to Tonowari once again for causing all this trouble. Your heart still ached in regret. Why hadn't you thought about these cultural differences before?
Your attention quickly got drawn to a few calls and cheers from the villagers and you quickly sprinted over to the gathered people. Making your way through them, your eyes landed on Ao'nung. His head was hanging low, his eyes were puffy and reddened.
You called out for him in relief, but he didn't look at you. He couldn't. His heart was still aching terribly. He was utterly disappointed and devastated.
Instead of looking at you he quickly turned away and walked home.
"I'll talk to him." Tonowari offered with a hopeful smile that settled the storm inside of you at least to a certain point.
~~~
The following day you did not wake up to any samples. No gifts and no Ao'nung.
It felt like something was missing.
You couldn't help but feel empty. All the money and the power you had always relied on had lost all it's worth. You remembered the day Spider had gifted you the carved arm ring he had made for your avatar.
"Happy birthday you ungrateful brat." you remembered his words exactly. He was right. You had been ungrateful, until you met Ao'nung. He had literally gifted you grass, rocks, leaves and it always made you smile from ear to ear.
Without him, work wasn't half as much fun.
He wasn't even watching you through the window anymore but instead tried to distract himself with hunting and preparing for his iknimaya.
You had told Max and Norm about it as well and they could tell that something about you, no, a lot about you had changed. You trained to become a real scientist and on top of that, you slowly became an adult. It was the right decision they had sent you here, even though these lonely days turned into weeks and by now, you couldn't even tell how long it was, but a long time passed in which you and Ao'nung did not speak one word.
Your head rose quickly as you heard heavy footsteps coming up the metal stairs. You couldn't believe your eyes as you saw Ao'nung coming through the airlock without a word. The look on his face concerned you, no matter how happy you were that he had returned to you.
"I knew you'd come back, all men do." you grinned in order to get him to tease you back like he always did, but he only grunted and sat down in a corner, in silence.
He just came back here after all this time and acted so weird all of a sudden. First he was spooked by you, then he liked you, tried to court you, ignored you and now he just came here without saying a word?
Confurion grew inside of you as he didn't respond to your teasing but only dropped himself into a corner, back hitting against the wall with his head back.
The your face relaxed a bit as you mustered him. He only closed his eyes and supported his hands on his shaking knees.
"Ao'nung? Are you okay?"
Still, he didn't respond.
His expression twisted at your voice as if his head was aching, and it did.
You swallowed before you walked over to him.
"Want me to sit with you?" This time your voice was a bit more quiet. The metkayina exhaled heavily and patted the floor next to him so you decided you sit next to him, legs crossed.
A good while passed like this. Just sitting next to each other in silence.
As you turned your head up to him he didn't react either.
"Ao'nung, what I did, I didn't mean-"
"Don't." he interrupted, raising a hand to signal you to stop talking.
"I don't want to hear a word about this stupid topic."
His voice was not much more than a breath and it seemed that these words weren't rolling off his tongue that easily.
"Your father..." he started after a long time, "he is... some kind of leader, right?"
As an answer you nodded slowly, so he asked another question.
"Does he have high expectations from you?"
A hard question.
"Well, in some kind. He doesn't like that I live amongst your race. He'd rather see me working for RDA. Wear fancy clothes and sit neatly at my desk, filling out confusing papers with overpriced pens, being the face of a huge company, ordering people around."
Ao'nung huffed, a slight smile crawled up on his face.
"Maybe we have more in common than you think..." he murmured under his breath, but in this silence his voice was still pretty audible.
"Did you have a fight with your father again?"
"Why do you think im here, the only place he never visits?"
You couldn't help but fake a mad expression.
"So my lab is only some hiding place for you, huh?"
As soon as your sentence had ended, he carefully poked his elbow into your arm and the smile on his face widened.
Again, silence fell upon you two.
After some deep breaths, the young man's voice disturbed this silence once more.
"I like being here. It's...calm."
"Yeah, if you don't run around like a wild thanator."
His ears turned at you remark and soon you felt his hand smacking your knee, causing a synched huff from both of you.
"You're not attempting to walk the path your father wants you to take, do you?" Ao'nung asked.
"Of course not. I think everybody should do whatever makes them happy. Fuck the 'rules', there are none. Only one self can decide what they want to do. That counts you in, smooth brain."
A warm smile appeared on his face, his eyes glistened with something you had never seen before. In your words he had found new hope. He was more motivated than ever to follow his heart, no matter what his parents said. He allowed himself to dream for a moment, to imagine what gteat things the future could hold for him and you.
~~~
Instead of spending most time in the shack you went to the village more often, adapting to the other na'vi and also the sea creatures. By now, Ao'nung had properly taught you how to ride an ilu and even introduced you to his spirit brother tulkun. You learned more about the sign language, about swimming and hunting, about their sacred rituals and everything these people had to offer.
During the day the young man rarely left your side. While hunting he always looked out for you. You enjoyed your life, and you wouldn't trade it against anything. Yet you had to return to your cabin every night. It was exhausting to switch between the two bodies, so you made a decision.
"I want you to transfer my soul into my avatar."
Ronal couldn't believe her ears. Ao'nung dropped his bowl of food instantly and stared at you with huge eyes. Tsireya was looking for words, and even Tonowari was completely speechless.
"Say that again." the tsahik whispered in disbelief, so you repeated "I want you to transfer my soul into my avatar. My conciousness, my spirit, however you might call it."
The tsahik looked towards her husband, shaking her head slowly.
"You can't be serious?!" Ao'nung blurted out while Tsireya still tried to process what you had just exclaimed while having dinner with them.
"Sully managed so I can do it too." Your voice was all calm since you had pondered this idea for some time already. Then you wouldn't have to run around with your exopack anymore and you could live amongst the metkayina. Become one of them. Finally have a place where you belonged to and the freedom to find a man.
The son stormed over to you and shook your shoulders as if he was trying to wake you up from a fever dream.
"This is dangerous! You might die!"
"Guess what smooth brain, i'm a scientist, I know."
Tonowari tapped the tips of his fingers together slowly, repeating your words in your head.
"Why would you want this?!" Ao'nungs face was on the thin line between angst and fury.
"What about your work, your lab, your father?!"
"It is what I want. I alone have the right to make this choice. It's stressful to switch and my human body is just not suited for this world. And since i don't intend to return to earth, I might as well become one of you."
Ao'nung pulled you up to your feet and dragged your avatar out of his family's marui in order to talk to you alone.
As soon as there was enough distance he faced you, grabbing your head with both hands. You whined at his unpleasant touch, but he couldn't help himself. His blue eyes darted straight into your golden ones, lips trembling, his entire body shaking in frustration.
"Why the hell do you want to do this?! What if you die?!" He spat with wild eyes.
"Then you better make sure to bring the prettiest flowers to my grave or I might haunt you. And visit me at the spirit tree-"
"You think this is funny?!"
You had never seen him in this state of fury but you had expected such reaction.
"Ao'nung, it's my life and my choice. You can't stop me."
He couldn't believe how by eywa you could stay so calm. His chest was heaving, blood ferociously rushing through his veins.
"This is madness, y/n!"
"I am a human in an incubated na'vi halfbreed body on a planet somewhere far away from earth where people and animals can literally connect their nerves to each other and you're telling me this is madness?"
He didn't know it was even possible but he got even more frustrated and enraged.
"For what reason y/n, what's it worth to put yourself through this?!"
Your face softened, lips forming a sweet smile as you stared into his bitter eyes.
"You."
Ao'nung swallowed hardly and his tilted ears stood up for a second. All his anger had dissolved, but only for a brief moment before he turned bitter again.
"Y/N... you can't be serious."
"Of course I am. Tsireya told be that you had some arguments with your parents about me. That you can't choose me as a woman. Don't you want to be with me? You must've thought about it as w-"
"Shut up." He growled.
His hands let go of you abruptly. He couldn't look you in the eyes for much longer, it pained him to see you as his thoughts formed into words.
"Of course I did. I dreamed about this for so long, but that's all it will ever be. A dream."
His words tore your heart into pieces, shattering all the pictures you had already painted out. Your breath hitched and you pulled both hands up to your chest.
"You know that this is not true. We can find a way-" you whispered into the air before he interrupted.
"Your 'way' is not an option. Which means there is no way."
Ao'nung took a deep breath and walked a few steps, only to come back to you.
"I'm not discussing my choice with you. I will talk about this with the tsahik." You mumbled quietly.
"If the great mother would've wanted you to be one of us she would have made you one of us!" his words were so loud that the distance between you and his family's marui didn't matter anymore. The entire village had probably hears him screaming into the night.
You slowly shook your head as he was done yelling.
"If the great mother doesn't want me to be one of you, she will let me feel that. You are not tsahik."
"Right, I'm the future oloeyktan! You should obey to what I say!"
He tried to calm himself but failed miserably. His fangs were bared, ears flicking angrily and his tail whipped around in fury.
"I thought you wanted to be more than a status..."
Here you ended the conversation and parted ways with him for today.
~~~
History repeated itself. Some days of not talking to each other at all followed, as well as him showing up to your shack.
He didn't apologize for his words, he simply walked in and sat down the same spot as always. Nothing in this village happened without his knowledge so he was already aware that you had talked to his mother and after a long consideration and deep talks with her husband she had agreed to your request. The ceremony was supposed to happen tonight so you had cleaned out your lab as you wouldn't be using it as much anymore.
You had called your father so he could see you one last time. He did everything but approve.
"Don't you dare! I will not allow this, are you mad?! What weird stuff did you smoke out there? These freaks clouded you brain! Don't tell me you're doing this for this boy?"
His words meant nothing to you. Either he accepted or not, but it didn't change your mind one bit.
"You really want to do this?" Ao'nung mumbled while you leaned against your desk, arms crossed.
"I will do this."
"You're pretty dumb for being such a smart girl, you know that?"
You only huffed and relaxed your arms before Ao'nung got up onto his feet again and made his way over to you. Both of his hands gripped around your waist and lifted you up to sit on the desk.
Your breath hitched at his actions and you couldn't help but blush madly. Not just your face but your entire body heated up as the metkayina came dangerously close to you, cupping your face with gentle hands unlike last time.
His blue eyes stared right into your soul before they fell onto your soft lips.
"Once the ritual starts, there is no return. Either your soul will transfer or..."
"Ao'nung, I will make it. Then I am one of your people." you flashed a wide smile at him.
"You are not just going to be one of us, y/n. You will also be mine."
He decided to waste no more time talking and let his actions speak, crashing his lips on top of yours. Instantly melting into the kiss you threw your arms around his neck, feeling your stomach toss and turn while he closed the gap between himself and your petite body completely, holding you close to his bare torso.
Both of you had longed for this for what felt like an eternity. In you he had found someone so different and yet so similar. No matter what you did, you fascinated him in every way. You actually managed to handle his ego and his rough personality, but he could also be vulnerable around you.
~~~
Ao'nung himself had carried your human body towards the cove of ancestors on his ilu where the ritual was taking place. He was praying to eywa that you would return from the eye of the great mother. Max and Norm had also shown up to the ritual, the Sully's too as well as the metkayina. Ronal and Tonowari stood next to each other, their daughter Tsireya right by their side as the ceremony was prepared.
The young man placed a last kiss onto your head before he had to let go of you and leave to the depths of the water as the spirit tree grasped out to you with it's strings, pulling you below the water surface until they were wrapped all around your body and your entire vision went black. All sounds were silenced.
No words were able to describe what you went through. What felt like an eternity probably went by in the shortest time before you were able to open your eyes again. A familiar face was right in front of you, holding your cheeks carefully. As soon as you detached from the spirit tree, you felt a pair of strong arms help you back up to the surface where you coughed out some swallowed water.
Before looking down on your own body your golden eyes searched for your human form which was completely covered from all these watchful eyes, deep below the surface. People cheered as your arms fell around the metkayina boy in front of you who pressed your dripping body against his shaking self. Some hysterical laughs escaped from both of you as you realized that the ritual had worked. Your chest was heaving in the tight embrace with the boy. His hands wrapped around your body as if he never wanted to let go of you again.
He pressed his relieved smile into your shoulder, still breathing out a few huffs in disbelief. As he felt your strong heartbeat, his own heart was pounding in excitement. Both your hands reached around his head only to pull him away from your shoulder gently to take a look at his visage. You got lost in each other's eyes, surrounded by luminous freckles all over your faces.
His thumbs traced over your blushed violet cheeks before you pressed your forehead to his.
"I see you, ma y/n." he whispered quietly and full of love.
"I see you, mao'nung."
It was almost as if the universe itself was mourning with you, conveying the deep sorrow that had longed settled within your weary heart through heavy raindrops against the windowpanes as you watched the two cardboard caskets that laid both your parents were slowly being transferred into the crematoriums for a final send off.
This was not the goodbye you expected to bid to the two most prominent figures of your measly life. It was almost too sudden, too hasty, unbelievable really. Your tearful gaze numbingly watched as the doors of the crematoriums slammed shut, but still leaving an opening for you to witness the golden flames erupting around the caskets, which oddly helped in allowing you to process and acknowledge the gravity of the reality you were experiencing.
A vast array of emotions swarmed you intensely, trying to overtake each other, making your head spin in the process, not knowing which one to feel.
But one thing was for certain.
Loneliness.
Never again would you hear your mother knocking on your bedroom door before entering, telling you good morning in that gentle, soothing, hush voice of hers, paired with the soft strokes of her hand against the flow of your hair.
The sounds of sips coming from your father drinking his morning cup of tea would soon become a distant memory soon. His usual question of how you slept last night can only be heard within the confines of your recollection.
The day ended with you being escorted out of the crematorium by your parents’ scientist colleagues, who, for the record, did not seem too upset by the events that played out for the day. It almost seemed as if the whole funeral was just another tedious task that had to be carried out before they could move on to their next one at hand. Well, it wasn’t like that wasn’t obvious, considering they couldn’t even get proper coffins to lay your parents to rest, as if common decency was a thing of the past.
Truthfully, no one really held proper funerals anymore, not in this current millennium at least. With the Earth flooded with overpopulation, people are dying at a larger and faster rate. Something quick had to be done to make room for others more.
“Well, let’s get back to business, shall we? We’ve stalled long enough, thanks to the cry-baby over here.” a man huffed as he straightened his lab coat, ready to get back to work.
Dr. Kurtis Aragon. The man who had your parents serve as his apprentices, unfortunately. You had overheard countless stories of him from them, mostly of how he had no problem blatantly mistreating his staff into obeying his every order, no matter how detriment the consequences might be of said actions, as it was either his way or the highway.
His views of the surrounding world were black and white, leaving no room for doubt. He truly believed his words held gravity compared to the opinions of those around him, and he made sure people knew their places in the lab.
“Since your folks have proved themselves to be fairly incompetent in their roles, I have no choice but to have you continue their work for me.”
“After all, you are the offspring of two rather gifted individuals despite what happened. I’m sure you won’t disappoint me too quickly like they did.” he added.
You could feel your blood boiling, face flushing with anger. Begrudgingly, you held back and replied,
“Since when was it decided that I’ve signed up for any of this?”
“Since your parents signed a legal contract stating that if anything were to happen to them, guardianship of you shall be transferred over to me.” said Dr. Aragon as he pulled out an envelope from his lab coat, handing it to you.
You snatched it from him, tearing the envelope urgently and began reading through the contract. Fresh tears started brimming at your eyes as you read the terms and conditions of said contract. There was no way. Your parents wouldn’t have entrusted your well-being to this man, knowing how much misery he brought to them.
“This is all bullshit! There’s no way they agreed to this. You must’ve threatened them into signing it.” you yelled as the tears ran down your cheeks, balling up  the contract before chucking it to the ground. “I don’t care what this contract says. I rather be dead than work for you or your sick cause.”
“Now, it’s not up to you, now is it, little girl? Doesn’t matter whether they agreed to it or not, what’s done is done. With their signature sealing the deal, I have the willpower to do what I wish with you. You possess great qualities and potential for the RDA’s future, and I plan on fully utilising it.” Dr. Aragon paid no heed to your outburst, lighting a cigarette as he spoke.
“Looks like we’re going to have to do this the hard way, little one. Boys, you know the drill.” Dr. Aragon mumbled before gesturing to his men.
“To hell with the RDA! You all are the reason why my folks are dead in the first place, and now you’re looking for your next guinea pig to continue the colonisation of that beautiful moon. Well, count me out! Screw you all.” you declared before storming off into the heavy rain, allowing it to wet the black dress you wore.
“Yes, sir.” they obeyed before marching to you, surrounding you.
“Move, assholes!” you yelled as you tried to push through them to no avail.
“Listen, you are coming with us whether you like it or not.” said one of the men cladded in military gear.
“I don’t have to do jack shit for anyone. You can’t make m-“ your rage was cut short when you felt volts of electricity surge through your being, making you fall to the ground before knocking you unconscious.
The men wasted no time in restraining you and throwing your drenched, sleeping body into the readied vehicle, waiting to bring you to God knows where. Dr. Aragon just stood there, watching the whole thing unfold with a smug smirk on his face, simultaneously taking puffs from his cigarette.
“Seems like she’s going to be a handful, huh?” one of the scientist next to him uttered.
“She’ll learn to comply soon enough. We just need to give her the right push, that’s all.” Dr. Aragon replied as he took one last puff of smoke before throwing the cigarette to the ground, stepping on it to put out the flames.
“I’ve got one good trick up my sleeve that’ll surely get her to obey.”
“And just what might that be?”
“We’ll have to get her to Pandora first. While she’s in cryo-sleep, we shall get everything ready to perform Operation: Lab Rat. Our next project will be targeting the reef clans.”
Dr. Aragon let out a wicked chuckle, almost as if understanding where this plan was going.
“I knew I could count on my best student.”
»»————- . ————-««
Five years later…
Waking up had never felt so draining before. Sure, a little sleepy and drowsy, perhaps an urge to fall back asleep just to bask in a few more minutes of comfort, but this time, it came with a throbbing headache. You tried your best to fall back asleep, in hopes to be rid of it, but you found your attempts futile.
Looking around, blue light surrounded the little space you were in. Your body was strapped in by safety belts, and you could feel yourself floating slightly. It didn’t take long for the panic to start setting in, as your hands started wandering, looking for any possible escape from wherever you were in.
All of a sudden, you feel yourself being ejected from the claustrophobic confinement, white light shining directly onto you. As you looked around, you were met with a figure floating in front of you, cladded in medical wear.
“Rise and shine, sleeping beauty.” the man said, in an attempt to joke lightly.
“Where am I?” you asked hesitantly, fearing the possible answers.
“We’re on our way to Pandora. Almost there, in fact.” he replied, patting your shoulder comfortingly.
His words stunned you, eyes widened in true shock. You looked around you to see others being ejected from their sleep capsules, unbuckling themselves from the safety restraints, which prompted you to do the same.
If what that man said was true, then that could only mean…
No, there was no way. This had to be a nightmare. All you had to do was close your eyes again and fall back asleep. You would be right back in your childhood bedroom in no time.
“I need everyone’s attention! It has been 5 years, 7 months, and 13 days since departure. You will feel hungry and weak to the bones. Please rehydrate yourself immediately with the water bottles in your lockers.” one of the staff announced to the room.
The look of dread on your face was no secret at this point. You didn’t care to hide your worries and panic anymore as your frantic outburst alerted everyone in the shared space, startling many of them.
It took a group of five men holding you to get you under control. That didn’t stop you from voicing your thoughts out loud, making sure your problem was now everyone else’s as well.
“Let me go! Take me home! Get me out of here! I’ll send you all to hell myself if it’s the last thing I’ll ever do.” you screamed at the top of your lungs, empty threats being thrown around, mostly directed to the men restraining you.
Sedate her immediately!” Dr. Aragon called out to the men; frustration painted his expression. “Can’t have this little bitch causing a goddamn ruckus on my ship.”
“You! You’ll be first on my hit list, motherfucker! Be glad they’re holding me back, ‘cause once I get the chance, you’ll be begging me for mer-“
You felt something sharp pierce your arm, halting your verbal assault. You tried fighting against the drowsiness, but it soon overtook you easily as you succumbed to the effects of the sedation, putting you to sleep once more.
The men were then instructed to bring you to a holding cell while the scientists bunch had an impromptu meeting together, with Dr. Aragon fuming.
“What did I say about waking her up with the other crew members? Do you imbeciles just not listen to anything I say? Her antics could’ve costed us our only chance at getting the operation running smoothly.” Dr. Aragon lectured his team sternly, his being shaking from anger.
“We are terribly sorry, sir. It seems there was an error in communication with the medical team. We’ll ensure nothing of sort will occur again.” Thomas answered apologetically, gesturing to his fellow colleagues to do the same.
“I expect better from all of you, especially you, Thomas. You’ve been with me the longest so far and this is the work being presented to me?”
“It was never my intention to disappoint you at all, sir. All I want is to provide a better life for all of humanity and serve the RDA. Please, allow me to prove it to you, and I’ll be sure to give my very best to our current cause.”
The glare that Dr. Aragon was giving Thomas was deeply unsettling. It didn’t allow him to read through his boss’ emotions at all. He couldn’t predict what his answer could be towards his pathetic plea of proving himself worthy in the eyes of the RDA. Despite that, his eye contact never faltered, hoping his determination will overshadow his nervousness.
“Once we land, notify the sterile team to have a room prepared immediately. I don’t wish to delay Operation: Lab Rat any longer. The medical team better be ready to get their hands dirty.” Dr. Aragon broke the uncomfortable silence before leaving his team.
“Yes, sir!” everyone shouted in unison, scampering to get ready for landing.
»»————- . ————-««
The shuttle soon landed on the far east of Pandora, nearby a fleet of ships that were waiting, ready to transport the newcomers to the outskirts of Pandoran reefs. Neighbouring the Metkayina and Ta’unui clans, but still hidden enough to not alarm any of the natives. Stealth was required to ensure the colonisation of the area ran smoothly.
Soldiers geared up marched into their respective troops, the sound of combat boots synchronising. Dr. Aragon and his team were escorted onto one of the ships, with the medical team behind them pushing your once again unconscious self, secured on a stretcher with an oxygen mask. Once everyone boarded, the ship set sail and the journey to the nearby RDA base began.
“Let’s not waste any more time than we already have! Medical and sterile, gear up and get to work!” Dr. Aragon instructed with a stern tone.
“Yes, sir!” his team responded as they directed your stretcher to one of the readied surgical rooms.
»»————- . ————-««
Doctors and nurses were busy prepping your body for the experimental procedure, while at the same time sick with worry, but not for you, however. Knowing that any failure on this would end up with someone within the base being the next test subject. The unspoken dread seems to spread all across the room as it was dead silent other than the sound of surgical tools clanking against each other.
“Jesus, just thinking about what could happen if we fuck this up again makes me want to throw up.” one of the nurses whispered.
“Well, gee, you sure know how to set the mood, huh?” another nurse replied sarcastically.
“You’re really not worried one bit? We’ve been at this for God knows how many times, and there’s not been one success case in our books.”
“Of course, I’m worried, goddamnit! I’m just trying not to think about it at the moment. So do me a favour and shut your trap!”
“How about we stop all this bickering and focus on the task at hand? It’s best not to anger the big boss of the ship.” the head nurse, Tori, intervened before a bigger argument could set off.
A few minutes had passed before Dr. Aragon entered the room, cladded in a surgical suit. Everyone stood frozen in their spots, awaiting their next order to be given.
Dr. Aragon strode over to the surgical bed, giving the marking drawn onto your sternum and just below the diaphragm a quick study before picking up a scalpel that was laid on a tray.
“Your sacrifice shall not go unsung, kid.” he said before gesturing to his team to follow his lead.
»»————- . ————-««
Twelve hours later…
Most of the staff collapsed onto the cold vinyl flooring of the room, some of them shedding tears after a long, torturous procedure on you. The ones left standing were finishing up the stitches from your successful surgery. In fact, you were their very first and only success case ever since the RDA deemed the avatar program too expensive to continue and started their lengthy and experimental respiratory enhancing surgery on countless unwilling participants, with the hope that these test subjects can breathe Pandoran air with no need for an oxygen mask. None of them ever saw the light of day again.
Except for you.
Little did you know that this was just the beginning of your brand new existence. Your current purpose was to serve and be loyal to the RDA, and that sooner or later, you would learn to obey and do as you were told.
»»————- . ————-««
Two weeks later…
As your eyes struggled to open, you were forced to shut them again as a bright white shine blinded your vision for a moment. Once your eyes have adjusted to the light, you looked around your surroundings to find that you were in a well-conditioned room. The softness and comfort that you felt yourself lying on signalled to you were most likely in the hospital. Have you been rescued from the RDA? Were you back on Earth? Or was all of it just a bad dream and all of that never even happened?
You were about to relish in sweet relief, only for it to be cut short when you went to raise your arm to rub the sleep from your eyes, but it was stopped short by a handcuff that was linking your wrist to the metal bed frame. You looked over to your other arm to find that it was cuffed as well.
The violent clunking that you caused had alerted a group of nurses as they rushed into the room to calm you down.
“Now, dear, I know you must be confused and terrified, but you must calm down.” one of the nurses reassured.
“Where am I? Why am I here? What have you people done to me? ANSWER ME!” you cried out angrily, continuing your struggle.
“Call the doctor in! NOW!” the head nurse ordered.
The room stared in awe and shock as Dr. Aragon walked into the room. Next to him, stood an almost ten foot tall avatar wearing a green tank top and camo cargo pants. Your eyes were immediately drawn to the figure next to the doctor, the fear and anxiety evident in your eyes.
“So, this one here was a success, huh?” the avatar voiced out while staring down at you menacingly.
“She is the first one. But not to worry, as I do plan to continue producing more test subjects.” Dr. Aragon responded. “Sooner or later, humans shall be taking over this moon without needing the aid of these dumb masks.”
The avatar chuckled at that statement before striding over to you, kneeling down to speak to you directly.
“I’m Colonel Quaritch, commander of the first Recom Squad. Just thought you should know the face of the person you’ll be taking orders from.”
“And why would I be taking any orders from the likes of you?” you spat while grimacing at the colonel.
Quaritch lips pulled into a smirk, as if he was expecting this sort of response from you. He then gestured to the other humans in the room.
“Take a good look at every single one of them. All masked up.”
You looked around the room, scanning every human face in there. They were all, in fact, masked up. You however…
…could breathe with ease.
“H… How?” you stuttered.
“Let’s just say we gave your respiratory system a bit of an… upgrade, so to speak.” Quaritch replied nonchalantly. “Financing the avatar program is getting a little too hefty for our budget, so we needed a more affordable project to continue our operation.”
All of this was getting too much for you. The stress of everything that had happened finally took a toll on your poor soul. Tears started flowing down your rosy cheeks as you sobbed pathetically in front of your audience. Everything that has happened up to this point had sealed your fate forever.
You would never see Earth again.
You would never be able to sit at your parents’ graves for a chat.
Your education could never advance.
You would never experience another day of normalcy in your pitiful existence.
“Why are you doing this? Why me? What have I done to deserve this? Please, just let me go. I promise I won’t tell anyone about this. Let me go home, please.” you begged sorrowfully, any ounce of dignity thrown away at this point.
“I’m afraid we can’t do that, sweetheart.” Quaritch responded, moving to sit at the foot of the bed.
“You’re the first one to ever survive this dangerous and risky procedure. Your value here is far too important for us to just let you go. With your help, you’ll be giving mankind another chance at a better life. Treat this as a fresh start for yourself.”
You knew there was no backing out from this situation in anyway, shape and form. Your only choices on the table were to either die, possibly painfully, or follow the lead of the RDA. You weren’t exactly thrilled to be alive at this point, but entertaining the idea of death so soon wasn’t something you were up for either.
But maybe you could get yourself out of this, the only thing you needed was patience and hope, and you prayed that you would be able to stay loyal to those traits.
You allowed yourself to relax back onto the bed before turning to face Quaritch, looking him dead in the eyes.
“So, where do I start, Colonel?”
Pairing: Ao’nung x fem!human!reader
Request: [ @teyamsbitch ] one being shorter and it being a source of great enjoyment for the other w/ Ao'nung || I feel like Ao'nung would have a field day knowing he can tower over us and use our head as an armrest and we act like we don't like it but we do anything to be near him.
Synopsis: Ao’nung wasn’t too fond of you when you first arrived with the Sullys’ especially since you were human but when he got to know you he was head over heels.
❖ — When Ao’nung saw you for the first time, he held a dislike for you because you were a “demon”. After everything his mother told him about the sky people, he assumed that you were the same. He was cold toward you in the beginning, but with a mix of your beauty and charming personality, he began to grow feelings for you and soon after, you both became a couple.
❖ — The first thing he noticed about you was your height. In his eyes, you were the height of a child, which always caused him to crack some type of joke that you didn’t find funny or amusing.
“You are so little, I could literally crush you.”
“How are you and Tuk almost the same height?!”
❖ — He thought your height was an advantage for some things and one of them was ‘spicy time’.
“You are eye level with my waist, that will come in handy when you suck my-” Your eyes widen at his comment and you hit him in the chest, forcing him to not finish his sentence. “Shut up, skxawng! That’s all you think about!”
❖ — Whenever you and the group hang out, somehow his arm always manages to rest on your head. He saw you as his “personal armrest” and he took advantage anytime both of you were standing next to each other. You always tell him that he’s being annoying, but deep down you love him being comfortable with you in that aspect.
❖ — When both of you talked, you always had to look up to him, which gets aggravating at times when your neck starts to hurt. Ao’nung noticed this, so sometimes when both of you talk, he’d sit down and let you stand so both of you will be at eye level.
❖ — Walking around the village would be tiring for you at times especially since everyone around you had bodies more equipped for the environment. Whenever you began to lag behind, Ao’nung became your mode of transportation.
“Do you want me to carry you the rest of the way?”
Ao’nung would let you get on his back and he would take you wherever the destination was, which you appreciated because you didn’t know how much longer you were going to last.
❖ — When he started teaching you the way of water, you were eager, but it was hard for you, being human in a Na’vi environment wasn’t easy. Whenever you were having doubts or he heard you mumble about giving up, he was right there encouraging you (sometimes with spicy incentives).
“You got this, syulang! I’m right here with you.”
“If you hold your breath a little longer this time, when we finish our lesson, I’ll take you to my marui and do that thing you like.” He ends his sentence in a singsong tone and a small smirk on his face knowing that his words would motivate you.
After he said that, you held your breath twice the time you did before. Ao’nung was so proud of you that he couldn’t wait to take you home. He carried you into a secluded area of the jungle and happily rewarded you for breaking your record.
❖ — Whenever you and him held hands he made sure not to squeeze your hand too tight because he didn’t want to crush you. He always made sure to treat you delicately because he knew how fragile humans were to Na’vi.
“Ao’nung, can you give me a real hug? I haven’t seen you all day.”
“I don’t wanna squeeze you too tight or I’ll hurt you.”
❖ — Whenever you spend the night in his marui, both of you would cuddle together and you would have the best time being the little spoon. Feeling his big arms curled around your small waist, burying your head in his broad chest, him every so often giving your skin a soft kiss made you want to melt instantly. Him being so affectionate and gentle with you was hands down one of the things you loved most.
❖ — He loves you and your human body and wouldn’t trade you for anyone on Pandora. The only person he wants is you. You were his precious tawtute and he loved you with every fiber in his body.
Being kiri's twin sister was never easy for you. Especially being human. Grace's avatar had given birth to two completely different babies. One completely na'vi and the other completely human. The babies had peculiar things, like kiri had more human features, her hands and etc. And that you could breathe the air of pandora without problems and yellow eyes. Jake and neytiri couldn't adopt a girl and leave the other girl abandoned, so they adopted both of them and raised them as their own daughters. Being different in the omaticaya clan was never a problem, your father was the clan leader, no one dared to say anything about you. But leaving the clan, leaving everything behind. You arrived in a totally new clan, where the presence of your family was strange. You were an alien, harmful and dangerous.
It was difficult for Jake to convince the metkayina clan leaders. Ronal and Tonowari had never seen humans so close. Jake explained everything to them, while neytiri held your hand. After a few long minutes, Ronal and Tonowari accepted your presence. Neytiri had to stand up to the comments that Ronal was saying about you. Thanks to eywa, you quickly fit in with the clan. The ones who didn't fit in with you were a group of metkayina boys who kept annoying you on a daily basis. At first you thought it was normal, your presence was strange to them. But as the years went by, everything became more complicated. It had been two years since you lived in the Metkayina clan, and you were still being harassed by these men. But they were no longer children, but grown men who liked to bother you.
It was midday, and you had gone for a walk with neteyam. It was one of those quiet days where you spent time with your older brother. You were both exploring an island, it was small and had a beautiful creek. Full of precious stones. They were so pretty, perfect for your collection. "Nete…look!!!" you speak, running to sit on the edge of the creek. You pull out a notebook that belonged to your mother, looking through the pages trying to find a picture of some stone that was found on the creek. Neteyam found this adorable, but boring. He knelt down a bit next to you. "Y/n…I'm going for a swim with my ilu, stay here. Yes?" says neteyam, placing his hand on your head. You look up, giving him a smile. "Yes…don't worry" you speak, turning your full attention back to your notebook. You can feel yourself getting lonely, because the silence that had fallen was so soothing.
You settle back in your seat, and begin to look at the rocks in the water. Analyzing them, and making mental notes. You regret not having brought your pencil (which was made of wood and charcoal). You can hear several Na'vi approaching. Most of them were women with their children, sitting on the edge to clean some fruits with the fresh water and some fish. You liked being in this place, you liked the sea and everything to do with it. You see a few women greet you, and you return the gesture. The clan was kind to you, after meeting you they became more open to you. You were grateful that they were so friendly with your presence. Enjoying the scenery, you can see that the creek is spreading out beyond the wooded area. You knew you should not leave this place, neteyam would be coming for you soon. And you knew your father didn't like you wandering around unsupervised. According to Jake, the Pandora Seas were too dangerous for you. But you weren't going to go far…just a little.
You get up from the ground, and follow the water current. Entering the wet jungle, while walking and jumping on the rocks. You stay like this for at least 10 minutes, glancing back. You see that you have wandered too far. So you decide to stop walking, sitting on the side of the creek, to take a look at the new rocks that now reflected from the depth. They were so beautiful, with different colors and shapes. You had to have several for your collection and others to make new pieces of clothing with kiri and tuk. You hear how several branches move, and you become alert. Watching as out of the bushes come the group of metkayina men who were always having some trouble with you. "Look what we have here" says one of them. Approaching, while the others followed him. "Hello" you speak up, you were never a spoiled girl. So you wave at him, and decide to keep looking and picking up your rocks. "Hey…what are you doing here all alone?" the man kneels down, to be closer to you. "I'm not alone, I'm with my brother" you speak up, sitting up straighter to confront them.
"Really? I don't see anyone here" the man signals with his hands. Looking at his friends, as they laughed evilly. You felt nervous, you were so scared. "I should get back…goodbye" you start to get up from the ground, but you feel one of them grab your arm. Causing you to sit up suddenly, you groan in pain. "Tell me…what do you have here?" one of the men, takes the notebook you were holding in your hands. "Give me that…that's important to me" you shout, getting up from the ground, trying to take the object from his hands. But this was useless, you were too small compared to them. "Do you want it back?" speaks the na'vi who was the leader of the group. "Yes, please" you speak, lowering your hands to now place them on your chest. "If you want it back, you have to bend down on the ground…just for curiosity" says the man. Your eyes widen. "For what?" you speak, but you see how they all laugh. And he pulls you close. "We're curious about you…mmm why don't you do us that favor and let us see what your cute little cunt looks like" the man speaks cheekily.
You can feel your heartbeat quicken, you could feel your stomach churning. You were aware that your body was curious to the na'vi. But this was something that was not right, you knew. All the alarms in your body were on fire, as you wished neteyam was here. Your eyes began to fill with tears, as you watched those na'vi boys waiting for your answer with a smile on their face. "N…no, please give me back my notebook…I won't do anything" you scream a little, but it sounds more like a cry of desperation. "Well…if you don't" says the boy holding the notebook in his hand, holding it close to the water. Making the gesture as if he's going to drop it. You reach over, hopping a little to grab it. "Ah, ah, ah, ah on the ground…and then the notebook" the man speaks, you move a little away.
The noises of the argument had caught the attention of ao'nung, who had gone for a ride with his ilu, in an attempt to distract himself from his labors. He had left his ilu at the other end of the island, while he walked and explored the small island. Not 10 minutes had passed, when he heard your voice. He knew her very well… he spent a lot of time with the Sully family. And as strange as it sounds… he had memorized all the tones of voice that came out of your mouth. He becomes alert, when he can sense a hint of desperation in your tone, so he decides to look for where it's coming from. Walking slowly, he arrives at your location. He slowly approaches and realizes that you are not alone. He makes a face of annoyance, when he hears the voice of the group of men. "They have nothing better to do," thinks ao'nung to himself, as he glances through some bushes.
He is very surprised, with the scene that his eyes had found. You were on the ground, on all fours. With your head pressed tightly to the ground. While one of the men held you in place, with one foot on your back. "Ok… why don't you help us and move the cloth to see you completely" says the man. This makes ao'nung furious, who without thinking comes out of his hiding place. All of them, noticing the presence of the future clan leader, move away from you. You collapse on the ground, feeling pain in your back and face. "What the hell is going on here!!!" shouts ao'nung, pushing one of the men. With such force that he was left sitting on the ground, hitting his head on a tree trunk. "I'm sorry…it's " tries to apologize to one of the group men.
"I want you to get the hell out of here!!!! Because if I don't I swear" before ao'nung could finish, the group of men had run out of the place. One of them threw the notebook in your direction, running away in fear. After standing still in place, furious. Ao'nung turns in your direction. He sees that you were sitting, seeing if you had any wounds on your knees. "Y/N…are you okay?" says ao'nung approaching you. You look up, revealing a tear-stained face. The boy brings his hand up to your face, to wipe it a little. "I'm sorry…I promise you that as soon as I get to the village I will take care of them. This will not stay like this" says ao'nung trying to comfort you. But he sees that this does not cheer you up. He knows how sad you must feel. You were the butt of these idiots' jokes, and they are already going too far with you. "Are you feeling okay?" ao'nung now sits down next to you. He sees how in your hands you hold some sort of notebook. He recognized it right away…it's that thing you always carry with you.
"It's been damaged…it's almost destroyed" you speak, moving some pages of your notebook. Which was wet. When they threw it on the ground, it had fallen near the water. You tried to pick it up, but it was too late. "But…Y/N. You were willing to let them hurt you for this thing" says ao'nung, touching the cover of the notebook with his finger. You look up somewhat annoyed. "This isn't just a thing…this belonged to my mom. She had her whole life here…what she had done and discovered in Pandora. This is important to me…this brings me closer to her." You cry, as you hug the notebook to your chest. Ao'nung decides to say nothing, and respects your space. Letting you cry and vent for a while. After a while…he comes closer to you. Stroking your hair, he wraps his hand around your shoulder so that you lie on his chest. He can notice, how your crying gets louder. And decides to hug you.
" Calm down" he says with a gentle tone. He feels you pull away a little, "Thank you for helping me…I was so scared" ao'nung can see your puffy eyes, and your pink cheeks. "You're welcome…and I'm sorry you had to go through that…but you shouldn't risk yourself like that. It's dangerous," says ao'nung, stroking your arm with his hand. Holding you in place, on your chest. "I know…but look" you move away a little, but not so much as to break the physical contact you had now. He can watch as you search through the pages. "See this?" you hold up the notebook so he can get a better look. It was a drawing of an aquatic flower, it was red with blue. He couldn't see it in detail, because the paint had begun to fade. "Mom wrote here that it is a flower that only grows in the deep sea" he sees as you drop your head on his chest. You sigh, as you wipe away a few tears. "How I wish I could see one… in this notebook is everything I want to be someday" you speak. Ao'nung enjoyed the moment, he liked listening to you talk about your dreams. "They are syulangs, they grow the depths and then they can live anywhere. They generate a kind of oil, it is good for the skin and has a very good smell" says Ao'nung, lowering his gaze. Noticing how your eyes widen. "Have you seen them?" you ask, at this point you had turned away from him. Taking his face in your hands, bringing your face closer to his. You were now inches apart, and ao'nung was getting nervous. You had never been so close to him.
He had never analyzed your beautiful features. You were strange…but beautiful at the same time. His tail began to wag back and forth. He didn't know what you were talking about, you kept on talking while he was unmoved watching, how you talked, moved your hands. Even how your nose wrinkled, every time you raised your arms. "Ao'nung…can you take me to see them?" you ask, now you had caught his full attention. "Ahhh yes…sure" the boy says. Feeling you hug him by the neck. "Ahhh thank you" you speak, now sounding calmer. He hugs you back, closing his eyes. They stay like that for a while, until you hear your brother's voice. "Y/N!!!" neteyam shouts.
"I'm here!!!" you shout back, watching as your brother emerges from the bushes. You pick yourself up off the ground, moving away from ao'nung. The boy stands with empty arms, watching as you run to your brother hugging him. "Where were you? Are you okay?" asks neteyam, making you turn around, checking for injuries. He can tell, your knees are a little scraped. "And this?" says neteyam, taking your leg in the air to get a better look. "Nete be careful !!!!" you shout, sometimes your brother could forget that you were very small compared to him. "I'm fine… don't worry" you speak. But you see how ao'nung approaches you. "That group of men were bothering her…but I was able to get there in time" says ao'nung. Neteyam thanks him, he had a long time defending his sister from those idiots. It was not an easy task. "Well…I think we'd better go home" says neteyam, taking your hand. He had noticed the looks ao'nung was giving you. "Yes please..I want to rest" you speak, moving closer to give ao'nung one last hug. hugging his hand tightly. "Again…thank you. See you later "you speak, pulling away from the boy.
A few minutes after you had left, au'nung decided to return to his ilu. But just as he took the first step, he noticed that you had left your notebook on the floor. He picked it up, and noticed that it was open at the page where the flower was drawn. He chuckled a little to himself, remembering with excitement that you told him everything. This little object was so important to you, you could give your life for it. It seemed silly to him, so he looked through the pages more. And he found a picture, in it appeared a woman with red hair, two men and other women. It had some words written in Na'vi, which said 'family' or 'my family'. Right next to that picture, there was another one…where you could see all the members of the family. But they were all small. Ao'nung looked at it with curiosity. So this was what you protected so much…you were adorable.
The night came, and as it was obvious. Neteyam had to tell her father what had happened. He couldn't help it, as soon as you entered the marui. Your mother saw that your knees were bleeding. So while you sat there watching your mother heal your wounds, you listened as your father scolded Neteyam. "I told you not to go away from her…if you go to the water. Your sister goes with you, otherwise you stay by her side" jake is a little upset. "Something serious could have happened" jake yells. "But it didn't happen…dad calm down" you speak from the other side of marui. You hadn't told anyone about what really happened to you and the disgusting comments those men said. You knew your father would do something crazy, and you didn't want to cause trouble. After a while, everyone is quiet going about their own business. You were playing with tuk, when you hear a tapping at the entrance of the marui.
Ao'nung was there, holding a basket full of flowers syulangs. The boy peeked his head to the side, meeting your eyes. He could see, how your eyes lit up. "Ahhh…mmm I brought something for Y/N" says ao'nung, you could feel the nervousness in his voice. You get up from the ground, and walk quickly to him. Everyone in the family looked at each other they were a little confused, but lo'ak's giggles could be heard. "Shhh shut up" you gesture to your brother to shut up. Moving closer to ao'nung, you both step further out of the marui, for some privacy. "Where? You brought them for…" you were interrupted when ao'nung put the basket down. "For you…I got them for you," says the boy. You put a hand to your mouth, you are surprised and grateful. No one has ever made this gesture to you…no one. "I'm sorry about what happened this afternoon… I'm sorry you didn't feel comfortable, I know it's hard to be you in this clan, but I want you to know" says ao'nung, taking your hands, to give them a little squeeze. "That I see you," says ao'nung. He could see how flushed you were getting. "Are you okay?" asks the boy, watching as you bend over and take the basket in your hands. And you run off to your marui. "Y/N wait!!! Your notebook!!!" yells ao'nung.
Watching as you run back, quickly taking the notebook from his hand. Not if before, taking his hand and dragging it down. Now he was at your level, and feels you reach over and give him a kiss on the cheek. "I see you too ao'nung" you speak, laughing a little, to quickly enter your marui. Leaving him alone there, flushed and surprised. His heart was pounding, he had to control himself. He didn't know how he had created these feelings for you, but he loved feeling them so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: Ab riding, pet names, f orgasm, spanking, dirty talk, smut
Tumblr media
‘S-so good’ you whined out, hands gripping your mates shoulders. Your cunt clenching around nothing, as soft mewls and moans fell from your lips.
‘You like daddy’s abs huh?’ He teased, his grip on your waist growing tighter as his guided you back and forth on his abs
‘Mhmm’ blindly agreeing, too lost in pleasure to notice his teasing and sly remarks as your head was thrown back in pleasure.
‘Good girl, mhm just like that’ he cooed slyly, his hands roaming down your waist and down your sweaty back.
‘M-mm nungg’ you whined out softly, your knees shaking around his toned waist. Your back arching every time your clit brushed against his sculpted abs.
‘C’mon a little faster baby’ he hummed, his eyes set on your breasts bumping up and down. His hands slide down your back and onto the plush of your ass, his hand coming down and hitting you back into reality.
‘A-ah!’ You moaned out in surprise, your eyes shooting down to the sly grin forming on his face. You could feel the pleasure pooling and swirling inside you, begging to burst and spill out of your slippery cunt.
‘H-hah’ your voice breaking as your orgasm spilled out of you, your legs squeezing around his body.
He smirked up at you, his hands rubbing around your waist in a comforting way.
‘That’s my girl’
Lemme Ease Your Pain
Tumblr media
Warning: NSFW content(MDNI),lactation kink, mentions of post-pregnancy, praising, Olo'eyktan!Neteyam should be a warning lol, etc.
Pairing: Olo'eyktan!Neteyam (23) x Tsahik!Reader (21)
Synopsis: You gave birth a few days ago. Your babies aren't heavy feeders so your breasts become so full. You beg your mate to relieve you of your pain and of course Neteyam doesn't mind.
Tumblr media
The entire village was in an uproar, the Tsahik just gave birth to twins. These children would live to know they were the children of the clan leader and the spiritual leader, grandchildren of Toruk Makto and Neytiri, and great-grandchildren of Mo'at. It was an extremely painful experience. You were afraid but all was fine because your mother-in-law and your darling husband were right beside you ever step of the way.
Your babies were beautiful, they looked exactly like the father. Neteyam smiles as rubbed your stomach. You painted harshly. It was not easy. Neytiri uses a wet cloth to wipe off the sweat upon your tired face. "You did well, my daughter!"n Neytiri said. You smiled mournfully because your throat were sore from the screams of pain and agony.
Once you heard the crying of your children you were just fine. Mo'at laid the babe on your chest while Neteyam held the other. A beautiful boy and a girl. Neteyam was overwhelmed by joy. Tears ran down his face and over to the baby's face making him surprisingly laugh. The baby grabbed one of Neteyam's braid and tugged it gently. You smiled at the baby girl that palmed your face with a smile. Neteyam named them Ateyo and Zraina.
A huge celebration was held for them. They bonded with the Tree of Souls. Neytiri massaged your shoulders to calm you down. Your heart was beating fast. Neteyam was a great Olo'eyktan and you tried your best to be a good Tsahik using the training you received from Mo'at and Neytiri.
Although you gave birth a few days ago, your breasts were really sore. The babies weren't heavy feeders which only made the situation worse. They were so full and were begging to milked out. Every night, you would wake up to your top soaking in milk. Neteyam listened in his sleep as you squirmed in discomfort. Neteyam pushed himself up and rubbed your waist.
"Ma syulang, what is wrong? You've been squirming all night.", Neteyam asked. You were panting heavily. He noticed something was wrong. His hands grazed over your top accidentally. Realizing his hand were soaked in milk, he realized the problem.
"Ma Neteyam, I am in pain. Please get me relief!", you managed to speak out how you felt. "What am I saying? That sounds disgusting! I'll do it myself.", you were about to get up until he held you by your hand and pulled you back. "You're my mate! If you're in pain, it is my responsibility to rid of it.", you were shocked.
"But Netey-", you tried to rebel against his word but he silenced you immediately. "Do not disobey me, syulang!", Neteyam whisper-yelled, slightly frightening you.
You sat on the edge of the bed as Neteyam laid his head on your thighs. You were ashamed of the situation you were in. He was your husband, yes, but this was not compared to what you two did when you were younger.
You threw your soaked top across the room. Neteyam stared intensely at your swollen breasts. The beads of milk fell upon his face making him curious. "Their damn babies wasted good stuff!", Neteyam said as he teased your sensitive nipple causing a small moan to slip out. "I've watched an entire nine month period for this, you know?", you were shocked. He wanted to do this. Neteyam was a strange man with multiple kinks.
Neteyam tweaked your nipples making a strong stream of milk to shoot upon his abs. He licked his lips. "Thanks for the meal, mama!", he said before attaching him hungrily upon your leaking nipple. He grabbed the other breast trying to ease you of your pain. You felt weird. Your cunt was aching. It's been months since you had any action. He swallowed the milk that was releasi g from you. It was sweet and flavorful. You came off your breasts making a pop sound.
You were panting. You were soaked. Neteyam could smell your heat at this point. "Come princess, give papa more milk. You wouldn't want me to die of thirst, right?", you knew how Neteyam was in bed. An animal that attacked its prey in the worst ways possible. He bit your nipples making you scream. " You taste delicious, baby! You could give me more, right? Not so hard. Make me the happiest man on Earth. The tips of your ears were turning red as he continued to tease you. "Neteyam you had to stop, the children will wake up!", you said trying to hold back the scream that was at your throat.
He loved the faces you made for him. The fact you were getting turned on by him just sucking out the excess milk in your swollen and sensitive breasts made him feel things. He loved your moans but you looked extremely tired. He stopped. You fell back on the bed. He kissed your neck down to the breasts.
"Gonna get you pregnant again, your milk tastes too sweet to be wasted!"
NeteyamxAvatar!Female!ReaderxAo’nung
Summary: Ever since you were gifted with an avatar body, two of your friends have been acting really weird.
Okay, this was getting ridiculous.
“Neteyam,” you said. “What the fuck?”
“What, you don’t like it?” He frowned, bringing the string of decorative beads closer to his face for further inspection.
You barely restrained yourself from taking it from him and smacking him with it. How could someone possibly be this dense? “Look,” you started in a pained voice. “It’s not that I don’t like it. It’s just that this is the twentieth hair ornament you’ve given me in a week. What am I going to do with twenty hair ornaments?”
You had even started secretly giving some away to the young Metkayina girls when he wasn’t paying attention. They would at least find better use for it.
Neteyam’s ears drooped dejectedly as you scolded him. “But,” he protested in confusion. “I thought you liked hair ornaments?”
Eywa give you strength.
You stepped closer to him and poked him harshly in the chest. A slight flush broke out over his cheeks at your proximity.
“I do like hair ornaments,” you hissed at him, your right under-eye twitching from the strain of keeping your composure. “It was sweet like, the first three times. But I’m afraid if you give me anymore, my head will snap off from the weight of carrying an entire tree’s worth of wood!”
With that you pushed past him, stalking back to the village with a huff and leaving Neteyam staring at your retreating figure in shock.
“Shit, that was rough!” Lo’ak snickered, elbowing his brother in the side.
“Shut up, skxawng,” Neteyam glared, sulking deeply. It seemed he would have to step up his game.
From a distance, another boy with lighter skin and a topknot scowled as he watched the situation unfold, the spear he was carving suddenly snapping in his hands.
****
You were sitting on the shore, collecting materials to weave into clothing.
Someone cleared their throat above you, causing you to look up.
“Ao’nung?” You said questioningly, raising a brow. “What’s up?”
“You hunt?” He demanded, not looking you in the eye. He was hiding something behind his back.
“Uh, yes?” You furrowed your brows, looking up at him in confusion. Usually Ao’nung wasn’t like this, if he had something to say to you, he would just come out it say it. But now it looked like there was something holding him back, making him fidget uncomfortably.
A handcrafted spear was abruptly shoved in your face. You reeled back at the sudden movement, falling back on your hands.
“What—?” You startled.
“For you,” he said lowly, clearing his throat.
You blinked in shock, taking the spear from him and inspecting it. It was beautiful, with a sleek wooden staff and a polished bone tip. Designs specific to the Metkayina clan were carved into the staff and the idents were painted black to stand out. The bone tip was expertly sharpened and secured tightly with the strongest twine on the island.
“Woah,” you breathed in amazement, but feeling a sudden confusion take root. “Why would you give this to me?”
He scowled, crossing his arms defensively. “It’s an old one I don’t use anymore, and I figured you could use all the help you could get.”
A pang of annoyance shot through you, but it was soon overrun by disbelief. There was no way this was his ‘old spear’. The spear had zero scuff marks, as if it had never drawn its first blood.
You glanced back up to call him out, but stopped yourself when you noticed the slight flush on his cheeks.
Okay. What the fuck was going on?
“Get down!” Neteyam hissed from behind a bush not too far away, pulling Lo’ak down by his ear. “They’re going to see us!”
“The hell bro?” Lo’ak complained, rubbing the side of his head with a scowl.
Neteyam glowered under the shade of a tree leaf, yellow eyes flashing with jealousy. Who the hell did fish lips think he was, stealing his girl? He had obviously made it very clear that he was courting you.
He watched with increasing irritation as Ao’nung ogled you like a piece of meat, a dark flush spreading across his face.
Neteyam growled, his tail swishing dangerously behind him. Oh, it was on.
Thwack.
“Fuck!” Lo’ak yelped, holding his face as he fell over. “Are you serious bro?”
****
“Y/n!”
The hairs on the back of your neck stood up in dread as the wool slipped out of your hands.
“Quick, hide me!” You hissed suddenly, startling Kiri enough to drop the basket she was weaving.
“What?” She spluttered as you lunged under some woven tarps, curling yourself into a ball to hide yourself completely.
“Y/n!” Neteyam burst into the marui not a second later. He paused in confusion, having thought he saw you here a second ago with Kiri, but now you were nowhere to be found. “Kiri, have you seen Y/n?”
A bead of sweat trickled slowly down your forehead. Come on Kiri, you pleaded. Get the hint.
Kiri blinked as the puzzle pieces started coming together in her mind. “Uh, no, it’s just me in here.”
Neteyam frowned skeptically. “Really? Because I thought I saw at least someone else in here.”
Kiri raised a brow. “You must have hit your head hunting or something, brother. There’s no one else here.”
With one last dubious look, he turned and trudged slowly out of the marui, tail swishing in irritation behind him.
Once you couldn’t hear his footsteps anymore, you carefully peaked your head back out from under the tarps. “Is he gone?” You whispered cautiously, eyes still wide and on edge.
“Yeah,” Kiri looked at you strangely. “Wanna tell me what that was all about?”
You sighed, crawling out tiredly from under the tarps and slumping against the wall. You slung an exasperated arm over your eyes. “Ever since I got my avatar, Neteyam and Ao’nung have been acting so weird.”
Kiri shuffled closer, her curiosity piqued. “Really, how?” She raised a questioning brow.
“I don’t know, like,” you huffed in frustration. “All of a sudden, they started giving me so many things I didn’t need. At first it was nice of them, since I thought it was their way of welcoming me officially into the Na’vi culture, but now it’s getting ridiculous. I now have like twenty hair ornaments, an accessorized dagger and a crossbow from Neteyam, and a spear, two necklaces and assorted handpicked Metkayina sweets from Ao’nung. I have no idea why—hey,” you paused as Kiri started to snicker, and soon enough she was bent over as full belly laughs shook her collapsed body. “What—why are you laughing?”
“Oh my Eywa,” she snorted, wiping a stray tear away as she picked herself back up. “This is too good. Y/n, you can’t possibly be this oblivious.”
You stared at her in confusion and slight irritation. This was a serious issue that had been bothering and worrying you for weeks, and now she was laughing? “Want to tell me what I’m missing here?”
Kiri grabbed your shoulders, shaking you lightly with a gleeful smile. “Y/n, they’re courting you!”
They’re courting you.
As soon as the words sunk in, your jaw dropped. “No,” you shook your head, rejecting the idea immediately. “There’s no way.”
“Oh but there is,” Kiri giggled, a touch too deviously for your liking. “Oh this is great! We can have so much fun with this.”
“What? No! What are you even saying Kiri?” You scowled, looking at your friend in disbelief. “How could you think that?”
“Y/n,” she said seriously, raising an unimpressed brow. “Think about it. A bunch of sudden attention? Showering you with gifts?” She leaned closer, wiggling her brows suggestively. “Your bangin’ new bod?”
“Ewww,” you shoved her face away, gagging. “You’re crazy, there’s no way they’d like me. We’re just friends.”
“That’s how you see them,” she smirked knowingly. “But I guarantee you that they don’t. Trust me, next time they try to approach you, tease them a little, and watch how they react. If they get flustered, well you know I’m right. If they’re friendly like usual, then you’re right.”
****
It had been bothering you, what Kiri said. In fact, you couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Tease them a little, and watch how they react.
A dark flush creeped over your face, warming your cheeks. “No,” you shook your head aggressively. “That’s stupid. I’m not going to do that.”
But what if she was right?
What were you even going to do with that information if she was?
It was at that precise moment when you heard something that sounded suspiciously like a punch.
“Ow! Let go!”
“No, you let go!”
Splash.
Feeling a thick dread pooling at the pit of your stomach, you hurriedly followed the grunting and splashing sounds until you pushed aside some foliage, greeted with a view of the two culprits trying to viciously drown each other.
“What are you doing?!” You shrieked in horror, dropping whatever you were carrying and running towards them as fast as you could.
At the sight of you, the two of them abruptly let go of each other, standing up as stiff as poles.
You stopped right by the shore, shoulders heaving as you glared at them. An embroidered headpiece floated innocently towards you, brushing up against your ankles.
“It’s for you,” Neteyam cleared his throat, wiping the water from his face. “I was going to find you to give it to you, until this skxawng attacked me.”
“What?” Ao’nung exclaimed in outrage, turning towards Neteyam angrily. “You threw the first punch, idiot!”
“Only because you slapped Y/n’s gift out of my hand!” He growled back.
“Enough!” You hissed, shutting them both up. “This has gone on for long enough. I don’t know what your goals were, if this was supposed to impress me or something, but all it did was make the two of you look like the biggest idiots on the island.”
Neteyam lowered his gaze in shame as Ao’nung averted his eyes with a scowl.
“I don’t know how you could be so dense,” he grumbled. “I was obviously courting you.”
Neteyam whipped his head up, an angry snarl pulling at his lips. “What are you saying? I was courting her first! You were just interfering.”
“What?” Ao’nung snapped in indignation. “Who said—”
“It doesn’t matter who was courting me first!” You bared your teeth. “I choose no one! You’re both morons!”
“What—”
“But—”
Holding your hand up, you silenced the protests, glaring at both of them heatedly. “Don’t talk to me until you’ve both started acting like adults.”
You turned on your heel, angrily stomping away from the water and leaving the two boys shocked to silence as they floated in the water beside each other.
Neteyam was the first to blink out of it, giving Ao’nung a grimacing stink eye.
“The hell are you looking at, forest bitch?” Ao’nung snapped back.
Neteyam rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “Obviously nothing impressive.”
“You piece of s—”
Hello! Can you do a reader who is a siren with the sully family + metkayina?
Hellooooo!! Honestly this idea was a long time waiting! Glad you requested! Enjoy~!!
Pt 2
-----------------------------
Tirol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Water is essential for life, be it of fauna or flora. Water is a important element in keeping things alive. Land or sea, water is everything. There is nothing to argue about that. And no one knows better than the reef na'vi.
Water is their very life. A piece of their soul, their whole being. So who is this human to say she understands them?
Well meet Tirol. A human who came along with the Sully family. Many of the Metkayina clan were hesitant to accept Tirol. But the sully family that out of everyone in the family, Tirol needs to live here. Tonowari nor Ronal understood what they meant by that. Until one certain day.
During practice, Tsireya, ao'nung and rotxo were too busy helping neteyam and lo'ak that they didn't see tuk getting carried away by a sudden wave. She couldn't hold her breath much longer and was beginning to drown.
Lo'ak was the first to notice, screaming out tuk's name, the other teens turned and all panicked, quickly swimming towards tuk, but they were too far, they wouldn't make it in time!
tirol who was in the marui doing something heard the teens screaming out for tuk. She turns to see tuk struggling to keep her head above water. Panic struck her and without a second thought, Tirol jumps into the water to save tuk.
In less than 3 seconds, tirol grabbed tuk and held her above water. Tuk was choking out the water but was breathing alright and hugged tilor tightly.
Neteyam and lo'ak reached the two girls and released heavy sighs, checking on their little sister making sure she is ok.
Tsireya, ao'nung and rotxo stayed where they were, confused. A human is smaller, thus less energy and not as fast as a na'vi. So how was tirol able to make it to tuk when she was at the same distance at them yet made to tuk faster?
As the three swam closer, their heads still above water, ao'nung couldn't help but ask. "How were you able to swim with your little human legs?" ao'nung asks, tsireya hits him slightly at the back of his head which doesn't phase him.
The sully kids chuckled as tilor smiles. "Look underwater" was all she said. The three did so, and almost choked, they couldn't believe it, everything about it was beautiful as it was strange.
Instead of human legs, what they saw was one big long tail with fins! The scales glistening against the underwater lighting, the colors shinning through giving is a shiny look. The scales were of something else, blending the tail and the upper part of human skin. The tail was so hypnotizing, the fins were also of something else. Transparent yet elegant looking, flowing so beautifully.
Tisreya was amazed, she had never seen anything like it before! Lifting her head up, smiling so excitedly. "Amazing! your tail is so beautiful!", Tirol blushes slightly but is happy she nor the boys are freaked out. Rotxo came up, letting his mouth run before his mind, "how can you pee??". Both ao'nung and tsireya hit his head double time.
"please excuse my friends stupidity" ao'nung says. Toril giggles in amusement, "it is alright, but I am not going to answer that question". "Are all humans like you?" tsireya asks, tirol shakes her head. "Not really, I am called a siren".
"How about we talk more in the shallow areas" neteyam suggests, everyone agrees and does so. Gathering in a circle so everyone can admire tirol's tail, questions were being made.
"So what is a siren?" tsireya was the first to ask. Tirol and smiles and answers, "a siren is half human fish, we have the godly ability to sing. But not just singing a lovely tune no, our voice is our power. I can lure anyone with my voice in a hypnotizing way, and I lead them wherever I please".
The three reed children stared in amazement. "Have you ever used your...power before?" ao'nung asked. Tirol nods and explains further, "I have, I even assisted in battles against the sky demons, I would hide in the deepest lakes, violent rivers, and lure the sky demons to me. Once they reach the deep areas, I would remove their masks and drown them. It has taken time but it is more silent and effective".
The more tilor explains, the more entranced they are. Of course they would ask her to sing but was denied of request, "Whenever I sing, even if I don't mean to on purpose, anyone who hears me will be affected and I don't want that".
The three kids nodded and rotxo asked, "is that why you came with the sully family? Because of the wide ocean?". Tirol answered as she began to weave some seaweed, "two reasons really. The first is yes, because of the ocean. I loved the lakes and rivers but I longed for wide spaces, swim more than tight narrow areas. Second is for what I am. Once the sky demons found out what I am capable of, they will be after me. So joining the sully family, I came here. And I am so happy that they brought me. I love the ocean! the reefs, the animals, everything, truly I feel more at home than in the lakes and rivers".
Rotxo grinned and stood up, "well come on then. Lets see if your tail makes you faster than us" he challenged. Smiling at the invination, tilor was quick to move through the shallow water, making rotxo eat sand.
Laughing and new feeling of energy, everyone went back to the water and swim along side tirol. With her beautiful tail, she looked at home under water. Communicating with na'vi sing language, she said her under water jokes. The reef kids loved her jokes will the sully kids cringed at how terrible they were.
Tumblr media
After a long day of swimming, everyone returned to their homes tired. Tirol sat at the edge of the walk ways, drying her tail for her legs to return. Tuk and kiri sat beside, handing her a bowl of freshly cooked stew. "I swam so much today, weird to say I am glad I am feeling sore and tired. I never used this much energy back at home" tirol says with a big smile on her face.
"We can tell, you swam none stop all day, but I am happy you like it here. You seemed to adjust more quicker than the rest of us" kiri comments. Tiorl pulls tuk on her lap and tuk feeds her. "Yes, but in no time the rest of you guys will adjust too. This is our home now".
Tumblr media
The next few weeks, the whole metkayina clan now knew of tirol's ability, while she still refuses to sing, she speaks stories of her ancestors, and tales of her fallen sister clan, the mermaids.
Ronal and Tonowari were amazed of tirol's skills and all that makes her a siren. They were quick to accept her more than the sully family. Which the family dont take offence to, but tirol uses her new found acceptance as a bridge to get the two along.
To say, Tirol truly feels at home, being where she truly belongs, in the ocean. Where it is her natural home, and thrive in her true element with her long time friends and her found friends.
Tumblr media
Aaaaaaaaaaand that is this it for this one! Hope you all like it! Until next time! See ya!
Ao’nung.
You weren’t sure whether the name held any meaning to it, but that didn’t matter at all when it rolled off your tongue so effortlessly, almost as if you knew him your whole life.
He still didn’t talk much with you, responding with either one-word answers, grunts or occasionally a nod or a shake of his head, be it the wariness was still evident, but nonetheless, he didn’t seem fed up with your questions and rambling.
Instead, he found himself listening to you attentively, picking up on your little quirks, such as talking with your hands the more your exuberance started showing, or how your eyes brighten up after earning a small response from him. He appreciated having some company, a friendly and gentle one at that.
While still in the midst of talking his ear off, you paused for a moment before slapping yourself mentally at the fact that he was still injured, and you sat there chattering about God knows what when you could instead treat his wounds while you were still here.
You proceeded to get up from your seated position, about to head towards the two scientists when all of a sudden, you felt a large hand grabbing your wrist in a firm grip. You winced at the sudden manoeuvre, turning your head to Ao’nung’s direction to see him looking at you with what you could only describe as sad puppy eyes that longed for comfort. You couldn’t help but melt at the oddly endearing sight.
“Stay.” Ao’nung pleaded. He didn’t know what came over him to do what he did, but all he knew was that he didn’t want you to leave.
“No worries, alright? I’ll be back, I just need to get something to treat your wounds.” you reassured him calmly, as you brought your other hand to soothe his softly.
“[Y/N], is everything okay in there? I’ve alerted the Recom squad, so they should be here any minute.” Thomas informed, speaking to you through the intercom.
“Oh goodness! Why would you do that? I’m not hurt, he just doesn’t want me to leave.”
“And that’s exactly why I called them? Have you forgotten that we need you alive and well?”
“I’m aware of that, you geek. Haven’t you considered that maybe the poor guy’s just terrified? And here you are, sabotaging my progress of gaining his trust.”
“Okay, okay, fine! I’ll explain everything to the colonel once he and his team get here. Now tell me what you need before I change my mind about having him apprehended.”
“Why don’t you start by getting me a first aid kit so I can get started on these wounds that was inflicted on him?”
Thomas responded by huffing out a sigh and rolling his eyes before heading somewhere to get what you requested.
You cursed under your breath before turning back to face Ao’nung, flashing him a warm smile as you continued soothing the back of his hand.
“It’s going to be okay. Just relax for a little bit, and we’ll get you in good shape again.”
He seemed quite pleased with your words, allowing himself to let go of your hand albeit reluctantly. He couldn’t explain the feeling that he had for you, but he felt safe in your presence despite not being comfortable with sharing too many words with you as of yet. Your sweet and alluring tone of voice, your comforting demeanour, your patience, and your kindness…
…yes.
He could get used to this.
A few moments later, Thomas returned to his station, with the first aid kit in hand. He placed it in the drawer and slid it into the room. You went over to it and picked it up before jogging back to place yourself in front of Ao’nung. You opened up the kit and began prepping to treat his facial wounds first. You used a tweezer to pick up a cotton ball and dipped it in an antiseptic solution. With the tweezer in hand, you got up to your knees to match his seating height and faced him.
“This is going to sting a little, okay? But it’ll help your cuts to heal better.”
Ao’nung eyed the antiseptic cotton ball suspiciously, almost as if the sight of it offended him. The liquid that soaked the cotton ball was a yellowish brown, and the smell that came out of it was piercing, making him crinkle his nose in disgust. You took note of this and let out a small giggle at his expression.
“Doesn’t smell that great, huh? But trust me on this, would you?”
He glanced back at you, looking into your hopeful and promising gaze. He could feel heat blooming into his cheeks and ears, which embarrassed him enough for him to look away shyly. He closed his eyes and gave you a curt nod, signalling you to go for it.
With that, you began your work by starting off with the cuts on his face. He slightly grimaced at the stinging sensation on his cheekbone, but soon relaxed a little as you began tapping the cotton ball on other parts of his face. He still let out small winces here and there as you worked on other areas, but not to the point of interrupting your work.
In the middle of it, he opened his eyes to watch you tend to the injuries on his torso. The pain from earlier had subsided to a near numbness, allowing him to relax at your touch. He watched your expression that was etched in full concentration, making sure to not miss a single bruise or scratch. He admired your meticulousness, which was a quality possessed by his mother and younger sister, the two strongest women in his life.
“Are you… Tsahik?” Ao’nung suddenly uttered, breaking the peaceful silence.
Hearing his voice speaking in a clear sentence, although short, had you looking up at him in surprise. This whole time had been you starting off any interaction between you two. But here he was, making an attempt at getting to know you. You beamed at his words, almost forgetting the question he asked.
“Oh! Ts-Tsahik? No, I just happen to have some basic skill in healing. Always comes in handy when the situation calls for it.” you replied curtly.
You had learned about the roles of a Tsahik from your parents’ video logs and research textbooks. Only a selected number of Na’vi, usually a female one, that had undergone proper and extensive training can be selected to take on the title, otherwise, the rest are just regular healers within the clan. The responsibilities of a Tsahik doesn’t just stop at aiding the injured and ill, they are also known as the interpreter of the divine being the Na’vi called Eywa, who was basically their version of a God, or Goddess. Each clan had one Tsahik, who usually led the clan alongside the Olo’eyktan, or clan leader. The Olo’eyktan and Tsahik, in many instances, are mated to one another, but that wasn’t always the case for every clan.
The tranquillity of the room returned as you continued to finish up the bandaging of his torso and arms. Once you made sure that he was all set and done, you sat back down on the floor and admired your handiwork.
“I’d say I did a pretty good job. What do you think?” you asked as you looked up at him.
Ao’nung pondered for a moment as he looked at the bandages on his body. The feeling of the fabric felt so foreign to him since he wasn’t used to being this covered up. But he supposed that this would help him heal his injuries, he could probably deal with some slight discomfort for a while.
“Thank you, [Y/N].” he replied gratefully.
“It’s my pleasure, Ao’nung.”
Before any more words could be exchanged, the door to the room slid open, revealing Quaritch and his squad behind him. The tension in the atmosphere grew as they marched right inside to where you were sitting. Ao’nung started snarling at the sight of them, but you did your best to calm him by placing a hand on his knee.
“Well, sweetheart, I hope you and the big guy over here are friends now, ‘cause I’m going to need some info, and quick.” The colonel commanded as he dragged you back up on your feet.
Seeing you being treated so roughly made something snapped within Ao’nung, as he instinctively lunged forward in an attempt to defend you from the fake demon Na’vi. Despite the spiked collar choking him and drawing blood, he almost didn’t seem fazed by it as he continued slashing the air, trying his best to stop the colonel’s harsh treatment towards you. You cried out to Ao’nung, hoping he would stop, but it seemed that your cries had fallen on deaf ears.
“Woah! What do we have here? Now, what did you two do while we were gone? He seems a little possessive of you.” Quaritch snickered as he eyed the large Na’vi, who was still snarling at him.
“All I did was talk to him a little and patched up his wounds. Nothing else, sir.” you responded nervously, not too fond of the implication made by the colonel.
“Well, as long as you’ve gathered intel, I don’t care how you did it. Now let’s get you back to your cell.”
As you were being dragged out of the room, Ao’nung continued his rampage, roaring out obscenities towards the colonel and calling out to you. His desperate cries filled your heart with guilt and pain, you turned to him and looked at him with a melancholic gaze.
“Can… Can I just… say a few things to him? Just to reassure him a little.” you pleaded with the colonel.
Quaritch watched the scene before him as he sighed exasperatedly.
“Make it quick.”
Not wanting to anger the colonel any longer, you quickly made your way to Ao’nung, and with that, he managed to tone down his frenzy just a little to not scare you away.
“Ao’nung, don’t worry about me, alright? I’ll be okay. We’re going to be apart for just a little while, I’ll be seeing you again soon. I promise. In the meantime, please don’t get yourself hurt.” you expressed gently to Ao’nung as you patted him on the shoulder.
All he responded with was the same sad puppy look that he gave to you earlier, before looking down and nodding hesitantly. He sat back down onto the cold floor, and watched you leave the room with the fake Na’vis rushing you hastily.
Once you were out of his sight, he pulled his knees towards himself and buried his face in them. The pain around his neck was nothing compared to the pain that he felt in his heart. He didn’t understand why he was even feeling like this for someone he should consider an enemy. A sky demon, or a tawtute, which he referred to people of your kind. But he didn’t believe he had it in him to call you as such. You deserved a title that suited your demeanour and tone of voice, something that he could get used to calling. Perhaps…
Syulang.
Flower.
Yes, that was it.
The perfect name for his newfound friend.
»»————- . ————-««
“You useless fucking bitch!”
Another blow struck you down as Z-Dog continued screaming bloody murder and yelling obscenities at you, watching you cough up blood before delivering a kick to your back.
The other squad members just watched on with matching scowls on their faces, equally irritated at the fact that you had been in the same room with their subject for about a few hours and all you had done was patched him up a little and chatted with him about whatever. If it were up to them, they would’ve had you and Ao’nung killed in with just two pulls of the trigger, but unfortunately for them, they received strict orders from Dr. Aragon to make sure that both you and Ao’nung were kept alive, just until they got all the intel they need at least.
While seeing you getting your ass handed to you was a pleasurable sight to the colonel, Quaritch decided that he would rather not have to explain your sudden death, which prompted him to step in between you and his fellow comrade.
“Come on, sir! Just let me at her for a little longer.” Z-Dog exclaimed, clenching her fist tightly.
“As much as I liked to see more of that, we need her alive, Z-Dog. There’s no use when our spy is dead, so back off for now.” Quaritch demanded as he pushed her back away from you.
Z-Dog huffed in vexation before storming out of the holding cell to God knows where, leaving the remaining recoms to deal with you. Quaritch slowly walked to your pathetically curled up form on the floor before squatting down to meet your eyes, almost glaring into your soul.
“Now, sweetheart, I’m not sure whether you think this is some type of game, or whether you’re fucking with us, but whatever it is, you better start getting your shit together or I’ll have you begging for mercy once we’re done with all of this.” the colonel commanded, his tone of voice dark and intimidating. “Do you understand?”
“Yes…. Yes, s-sir…” you uttered weakly, your half-lidded eyes suggesting you were losing your consciousness.
“Let’s get out of here.” Quaritch gathered up his team and left the cell, leaving you alone and cold.
As you felt yourself drifting in and out of consciousness, all beaten and battered up with bruises and aches littering your body, your rage from before slowly but surely started to bloom again. How unreasonable could these hooligans be? How do they expect you to gain any info with just a few hours to work with? While Ao’nung was surely getting more comfortable in your presence, his minimal participation in conversation was still clear to you that he wasn’t interested in sharing anything with you as of yet.
No worries, though. You were going to go by their rules and play their game just like how they wanted you to. However, you made sure that you were going to play it better than them, and hopefully reap the rewards of it towards the end.
During your train of thoughts, you almost failed to notice the door to your cell sliding open as Thomas walked in with a first aid kit in his hand. He looked down at you pitifully as you stared at him with a tired gaze. Kneeling next to you, he had you propped up against the wall as he began cleaning and tending to your wounds. This greatly confused you as he was Dr. Aragon’s right-hand man, causing you to be sceptical.
“I know you don’t trust me, and I don’t expect you to, not after everything of course. Just here to keep you alive and well then I’ll be on my way.” Thomas stated as he patched you up.
“I don’t believe you came all the way over here just to do that. You would’ve sent a medic here instead.” you retorted, chuckling a little.
Thomas just looked at you, slightly stunned before sighing dejectedly as if disappointed he got caught on. At this point, there was no reason to hide anything from you as he was part of why you were here in the first place. He felt remorseful and responsible of you, seeing you brought here against your will at such a young age and having to be put through heinous conditions.
No. He couldn’t bear to see someone else go through the same thing he did.
Enough was enough.
“So far, there had only been two human occupants of this holding cell. You’re unlucky enough to be the second one in here.”
“Oh yeah? Well, who was the first?”
Thomas hesitated for a moment before speaking.
“You’re looking at him.” he said, gesturing to himself.
As you stared at him in astonishment at his confession, you opened your mouth to say something, although you quickly shut yourself up again, unsure of what to say about that.
“Yeah, you’re probably wondering how I ended up on their side, when I was put in the same position as you’re in. I remember being brought here too, as well as having the same respiratory procedure done on me all those years ago. Getting thrown around like I was some ragdoll, and having myself a Na’vi cell mate that I was forced to gain intel from and sell out in the end.”
“You mean… you can breathe Pandoran air too? I thought I was the first success case from that surgery.”
“That was because one of my lungs collapsed during recovery. Since then, I still have to continue wearing a mask. At that time, research for the procedure only started six months before my arrival, which looking back, was not even close to being sufficient. Putting my lungs back together really took a toll on me, both mentally and physically. I almost didn’t make it, but by some miracle, here I am, sitting here and chatting up a storm with you and sharing my life story.”
Thomas gave a small hearty laugh at that, which brought a slight smile to your features. Though, you continued to ponder on what else went on in his life.
“About your Na’vi cell mate, what were they like?”
“Oh, him.”
A downcast look glazed his features, although he still maintained his smile. It almost made you feel bad for even bringing it up.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have asked.” you quickly apologised, looking away in embarrassment.
“No, it’s fine, kid. It’s just… I get a little sad when I think about him. But if anything, guilt is definitely up there on what I’m feeling.” he reassured. “His name was Zäpe. The first time I met him was here, he got thrown in a lot later after me. Like your friend, he tried to kill me as soon as he laid eyes on me, kept banging on the glass for hours on end.”
“And how did you respond?”
“I didn’t. I just hid under my bed like the coward that I was.”
The both of you exchanged laughter at that.
“When did you two start becoming friends?” you asked, curious about the dynamic between the two.
“Well, it took a while, really. In the beginning, all he responded was with growls and snarls anytime I would try to interact with him. But as time went on, he soon started showing signs of trust in me. Eventually, we got to a point where he was telling me about life in the reefs and oceans, even sharing stories about his family and friends. It got to a point where I really considered him a brother, almost.”
Recounting all those happy memories made Thomas beamed, but it soon faded away as he recalled how it all ended.
“But of course, all good things had to come to an end. Although, I wish it didn’t end how it did.”
“Why? What happened afterwards?” you nervously questioned, afraid of what you were about to hear.
“He was from the Ta’unui clan. Their lands harbour a very rare but valuable form of unobtanium, the most sought after by the RDA. My role at the time was to get him to reveal where the spirit tree was, as that was where majority of the unobtanium was located. He eventually did tell me where it was, saying he was going to bring me there one day when we escaped.”
Tears were starting to brim around Thomas eyes, a choked sob nearly escaping his throat as the horrible memories flooded in.
“I was then forced to make a difficult decision. Either I reveal the location of the Ta’unui spirit tree, or the entire clan perishes. The thought of having an entire clan’s blood on my hands didn’t sit right with me. While I knew Zäpe would ultimately hate me for it, I told the RDA everything. I couldn’t bear the idea of my best friend dying.”
“That must’ve been so rough. I can’t even imagine how Zäpe must’ve felt when he found out.”
“He did more than just find out. He suffered the consequences of it.”
That statement sent shivers down your spine. Just what the hell happened way before you or Ao’nung’s arrival?
“The moment he found out about my betrayal; he was dragged away by a bunch of soldiers into a heavily guarded room. And the next I knew, a single gunshot resonated from it. I never saw him again.” Thomas confessed begrudgingly, his face contorted in shame and guilt. “It was also the day I saw how atrocious the RDA can get. I can never forget the look on his face when he realised, I turned my back on him, despite it being out of my control.”
“How… How did you get out of that mindset? What made you work for the RDA in the end?”
“I tried ending it all after Zäpe’s death. I saw no point in continuing living this hell. While nobody was looking, I stole some toxic substances from the lab and snuck it back into my cell. Just as I was about to down that thing, it slipped from my hand and spilt all over the floor. Since then, any attempts at killing myself was futile as there would always be some form of interruption. I took that as a sign that Zäpe wanted me to keep on living, as if to punish me by making sure I continue to remember my wrongdoings in my day-to-day life. Eventually, due to my role in assisting the RDA, I got recruited as an apprentice for Dr. Aragon and long story short, managed to climb my way to become his second-in-command.”
“But do you actually… truly feel loyal to the RDA? To Dr. Aragon? To Colonel Quaritch?”
The question had led Thomas to something that he wished he never had to face ever again. While the RDA was still one of the reasons why he wasn’t dead yet, at the same time, the idea of pledging loyalty to an organisation that was built on greed and destruction weighed heavily on his heart. No matter how much benefit this line of work brought him, he couldn’t consider this living. They took everything from him, anything that he ever loved and treasured. All he could hope was that they didn’t strip him of his empathy, which he was afraid was soon dwindling with time.
“You can only pretend for so long, kid. That was all I’ve been doing up until this point, swearing my life to this entire operation even though I never truly believed in it once.” Thomas revealed as he looked you deeply in the eyes, showing that he was speaking the truth. “If you want any chance of getting out of this shit hole, you’re going to want my help, and as hard as it it, I’m going to need you to trust me.”
“But wait! What about… Ao’nung? I don’t wish for him to suffer the same fate as Zäpe. If anything, I’m not leaving without him. Wherever I’m going, he’s coming with me.” you exclaimed.
Thomas sighed heavily and looked away as he spoke up again.
“I may have a plan for that. Come see me before your sessions with him.”
»»————- . ————-««
Ao’nung was brought back to his cell a little after Thomas had left. Seeing him again felt like a breath of fresh air, and even more so when it didn’t seem like he sustained any new injuries. The injury on his neck was bandaged up neatly as well, you silently thanked whoever took notice of that and had the courage to even patch him up.
The Na’vi shared the same sentiment upon laying eyes on you, rushing up to the glass barrier eagerly to get a good look, but the happy glint he had immediately switched to a frown as he took notice of the bandages you adorned as well. Knowing that you must’ve received similar treatment that he endured made him distressed and sick to his stomach. While the abuse was traumatising, his physicality still allowed him to withstand multiple heavily blows for a good while. But with your small stature, they could’ve hurt you even worse, or perhaps…
…they could wound up killing you.
A few knocks on the glass barrier snapped him out of his thoughts, and looking towards the direction of the sound, he saw you flashing a small smile as you gave him a slight wave, to which he responded by mimicking your actions and returning the gesture.
“How are you doing so far? They didn’t hurt you again, did they?” you asked him, slightly concerned for his wellbeing.
“I’m fine. A male tawtute helped me with my neck.” Ao’nung replied as he pointed to his neck. “He said he helped you, too.”
With that, you mentally thanked Thomas for his help despite him probably fearing the giant Na’vi.
“They hurt you badly, like me. Why?” Ao’nung questioned, his face contorted in confusion and anger.
While you wished you could reveal the reason to why you received similar treatment as him, you decided it would be best to keep this information to yourself for the time being, fearing that once he knew the truth, you would be thrown back further from square one. For now, it was best to avoid any question he had regarding of the RDA’s treatment towards you.
“Don’t worry about me, alright? I’m not important at the moment. The only thing that matters to me right now is getting you back home safely, and preferably in one piece.” you declared confidently. “I can get you out of here, but it can’t be done with your support. It’s important to get on their good side, so do as you’re told, and you may have a chance at leaving. Got it?”
He pondered at your words for a moment as he was debating with himself mentally on what to do. He hated the thought of being pushed around and commanded by a bunch of sky demons who have no place in his home, but at the same time, if a little bit of obedience could earn him even a sliver of freedom, he supposed it couldn’t hurt to do so. Besides, once they let their guards down enough, it could present a perfect opportunity for him to strike.
“Understood, [Y/N].” Ao’nung expressed. “Can you promise me something?”
“Of course! What is it?” you chimed in.
“Once we leave…
…I’ll show you my home.”
Ao’nung x Fem!human!reader
Summary: (Y/n) is adopted by the Sullys after her mother’s sudden death. They had to flee the forest and move to Awa’atulu for safety. Everyone are hostile to your family, but they’re more hostile to since you’re a human. Even with these situation you always held your head high and don’t let them get into your head.
[one•two•three•four•five•six•seven]
Tumblr media
It was the first time they saw a sky person, which is you. They were glaring at you as if you’re are some monster. It didn’t bother you much, you’ve experienced something similar back in the forest though it didn’t last long. But you figured this one would be.
Your brothers and sisters are required to practice with Tsireya and Ao’nung. Though you could join, your mother, Neytiri, didn’t allowed you. She is very worried that you might drown and such. So she gave you a different task instead which is to help her do some chores. You were a bit bummed about it, but you then thought that you’re spending time with your mother. So it’s not all bad.
“Mom, what is that?” You pointed at the basket with fishes and clams. Neytiri added some bought-home teylu. “It’s a gift for the Tsahik. For letting us stay.” Though the first time Neytiri and Ronal met they were ready to tear each other’s throats, It seems that she is still grateful.
“Is that so? Can I give it to her?” Your voice is filled with excitement. You just wanted to do something, you’ve been bored for the past few days. Contrary to your excitement, Neytiri is worried. She knows that Ronal might not like a human near her and might do something to you.
“I’m sorry (y/n), but I don’t think that would be a good idea.” You frowned from her words. She didn’t like seeing you look sad, her little baby girl. “Well I guess you can, just be careful alright?” Your frowned to a big grin. You thank her and hugged her tightly. She returned the hug and pat your head.
You carried the basket, hopping on your way. Across the village, you saw your brothers and sisters swimming. Lo’ak struggling was entertaining. You laughed at the sight of him falling off the ilu. You continued to walk to the Tsahik’s Marui. You know knocked to let her know that some is here.
“Come in.” You took a deep breath and entered. Ronal turned around and saw you. You smiled at her while she gave you a slight glare. You already felt nervous by her presence.
“What do you want?” Her slight piercing toned made you look down. Mother’s right, this must be a bad idea. “Oh um, I just came here to give you a gift. From us, we are grateful you let us stay here.” You set the basket on front of her and went back to where you were standing.
Her eyes widen for a bit. She looked at the basket, some fish, clams, and a bag of teylu. She took it and put it near the other food she got. She look at you, up and down. A nervous smile released from you. “It’s no problem. It’s merely my duty to help someone. You may go.” You bowed at her and left. She take a look at the basket again. She grabbed that bag of teylu and smelled it. She took a bite. She’s a bit addicted.
You went back to your marui, your brothers and sisters are already there, taking a break. Neteyam noticed you going in, “Hello, baby sister. Where did you go?” He stand up, giving you some snacks. You ate some.
“I delivered something to the Tsahik.” He tilted his head, “To the Tsahik? What did she do to you?” He leaned checking some bruises and such. You calmed your brother letting him know she didn’t do anything. Your brother was a bit skeptical, but believes you.
Your mother then called Neteyam asking him to help her make food. He walk to her and started filleting the fish. You look out the marui, watch the water’s wave. It is gorgeous, you’ve never been near water except some ponds in the forest. Your late mother showed you a pictures of her and your grandma on a beach making sandcastles. So you’re excited that you can experience something similar here in pandora.
“Mother, can I walk near the shore?” She looked at you then think about it, well you haven’t gone out unless your mother and father tells you to. She nodded and says yes. You smiled and hugged her leg, “Thank you, mother!” You hoped out of your marui, excited to go out.
“Do you think it’s a good idea?” Neteyam asked his mother. Neytiri continued to make the fire. “She’s hasn’t gone out, I want her to experience it too.” Neteyam just slowly nodded.
You walked near the water. You felt it wetting your toes, its cold, but you like it. You followed the line patting the water and the sand. Twirling around, oh how happy you are feeling something like this. Giggling every time the water hits your ankle.
Those giggles of yours distracted a young man. Ao’nung, son of Tonowari, saw you enjoying the water. For some reason this made his heart flatter. Seeing you enjoy his home, he’s somehow glad.
He supposed to hate you, you’re a sky person. You’re supposed to be an enemy. But he doesn’t feel any aura like that around you. You’re appearance made you look like a flower. Your white dress following your twirls, spins, anything. This boy is catching feelings for you.
“Brother! Brother! Are you listening?” Ao’nung turned around to see his sister, both hands on her hips, “you’re not listening at all.” She pouted.
“Ah yeah, sorry what was it again?” Ao’nung gathered some fishes from the fishnets. Tsireya noticed you faraway.
She look at his brother with a smirk. “What’s with that face?” Ao’nung looking irritated.
She giggled, “Who were you staring at?” Ao’nung’s ear stiffened.
“I’m not staring at no one!” Ao’nung cheeks started heating up. This made Tsireya laugh more.
“You like her!” Ao’nung greeted his teeth, “Am not!”
He does, but his in denial. He groaned feeling irritated about this feeling. But mostly irritated by her sister’s grin looking at him. He rolled his eyes… and look back to you again.
You picked up some shells and examining them, you’ve never seen a shells like these before. You like how pretty they look, shiny, smooth, colorful. You took some and carefully put them in your small weaved basket.
“Heeeey.” Tsireya’s hand waving in front of Ao’nung’s eyes blocking you from his view. He hissed at his sister, “calm down brother, you can stare all you want later after lunch. C’mon father is calling us.” He rolled his eyes and walked with her.
To be continued…
Hey, I hope you are doing alright. I would like to make a request between Aonung x human reader where the reader has been unknowingly accepting all the courting ritual gifts and gestures, so that when Aonung finally asks if they accept to be their mate, it surprises the reader and makes Aonung think that they don't reciprocate, but the reader does and shows him that 😉. Thank you!
AVATAR MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
You had arrived with the sully asking for shelter, it was no surprise that at first the looks of disapproval, disgust and discrimination towards you were noticeable. You were a person from the sky, and if the sully were already a problem, you were chaos. Their parents are upset and were refusing to help them. Jake sully tried to explain the situation. "This is my adopted daughter, her mother was a great friend of mine… before she died she asked me to take care of her. See the girl over there points to kiri she is her sister, but from the avatar body of the same mother" Jake tried to explain everything, The couple didn't understand much. But they could see the sincerity in the family's eyes, and let them stay. Aonung was staring at you, while you stood next to your sister holding her hand. You give her a sidelong glance and hold on tighter. You didn't know why he was staring at you so much, you felt like he was studying you.
You went to all the swimming lessons, you weren't the best and it took you longer to adapt, but you would never give up. You were obedient and barely spoke. Any doubts he had about you went away, when he was fighting with your brothers and you tried to stop them and without realizing it he punched you in the face. Making you scream and fall to the ground. The results of this incident led to reprimands and punishments from both families, he didn't mean to hurt you, he didn't do it on purpose. So when he could, he approached your marui and apologized to you. You smiled at him, with a noticeable bruise on your face. He had hurt you, but you still forgive him and understand that it was an accident. Aonung must admit, he also judged you at first. You were an alien, short and quiet. But what bothered him the most was how quiet and understanding you were, even though everyone treated you badly. You were rejected from the groups, they would say barbarities as you walked by or even to your face, and you just smiled and went on your way. The boy became very attached to you, he couldn't help it.
After the altercation they had with the sky people, the sully stayed in the village. It was definite, this news pleased aonung. It was true that he was friends with the sully, his best friend was neteyam, your brother. But knowing that you would stay made his heart fly. But at no time did he say or do anything about his feelings for you. And so the years went by… They had already done all the rituals to be able to be true navi, they were ready. And they were also ready to get a mate. It was tradition for the metkayina, that as soon as they passed the challenges they would get a partner. And he already had in mind who he wanted to be his partner.
You had grown up as a beautiful woman, you might be human, you might look different from them… but you were beautiful. Besides, you were a strong woman, with the attitudes of a leader and generous and kind. You had earned an important place in the clan, even their mother, Ronal had accepted you, you were in responsible for the area of the children and pregnant women of the clan, you helped them and took care of the babies. The trust they had in you was impressive. He was well aware that many metkayina males were interested in you, were ready to court you. And he was going to do something fast.
He started by asking your brothers. He didn't want to do anything outside of your family's approval. Of course, your brothers agreed… the hardest one to convince was neteyam but he managed to convince him. So he set his plan of conquest in motion…
He started by making you small accessories, some for your hair and others for you to wear on your hands or ankle. "Y/N, I want to give you this accessory…I made it myself" aonung gives you the accessory, it was very beautiful, it had pearls and shells. "I made it myself with my…hands" you laugh at his comment. You can see how nervous he is getting. "Help me put it on" you speak. Aonung comes over and helps you put on the necklace. "I love pearls…they look beautiful" you say as you look up and smile at him. "I know…they are your favorite" he takes your hand and they give it a squeeze.
He keeps making different gifts and you accept them without any problem. He feels confident, because he knows that you had been offered courtship gifts and you had refused them. Aonung had even prepared a new outfit for you, it was similar to his own. His chest puffed out when he saw you wearing it. You looked so beautiful, it fit your curves so well… this boy was lost for you.
The second part of the courtship plan was also a success… He liked to invite you for rides on his Skimwing, have chats with you on the beach and he would invite you to eat with his family. He is surprised when his parents accept you without any problem. Ronal is very sweet on you, Tonowari adores you, he thinks you would make a great leader. And you got along very well with his sister, after all she was starting to date one of your brothers. He felt it was the perfect time to ask you if you wanted to be his partner.
It was still early in the morning, you had gone to do your homework… so aonung took the opportunity to go to your family's marui. There was jake and neytiri. The boy was nervous but dared to ask for her approval. Jake accepted immediately, he knew that the boy was a good man, and to know that one of his daughters was going to be the partner of the clan leader's son was a great honor for him. On the other hand, Neytiri hesitated a little, she was very overprotective of you. But in the end she accepted, she knew that Aonung was not a bad boy.
Aonung came out of the marui happy and confident. He was heading to your work area. When he arrived he saw you, you were carrying and taking care of some children. He was already imagining his own family with you. You noticed he was at the entrance, so you went to greet him. "Hello… what are you doing here? Did something happen?" you ask, you already had your hand playing with one of his hand pieces. He had noticed, how you were getting closer to him, how you were touching or caressing him. "I'd like to talk to you…in private" you smile at him, and hug his arm, as they leave the marui to be more private.
"I want to…ask you something" says aonung, he is very nervous and your grip on his arm wasn't helping. " mmm what do you want to ask" you hug him around the waist, your face falls just below his belly button, forcing him to look down. "I would like you and I… I love you, I think you are the best woman I have ever met, you are strong, kind and generous. Can I be your partner?" he spoke, he was nervous… his hands were sweaty. He was waiting for you to answer, he could feel you let go and walk away. He saw how your face showed no expression. Panic consumed him… oh no, he had gone ahead, or perhaps misunderstood your signals. He stepped forward and walked away as fast as he could, not letting you speak. He didn't want to hear that you didn't accept him, that would hurt him.
You were shocked, you couldn't believe he was asking you this. You had expected this for so long, you even thought that all his details and treats he had towards you were out of kindness. You knew he had many clan girls after him. But he was choosing you. When you finally came to your senses, you saw that he was not there. You looked everywhere and nothing. You had to look for him.
Aonung had already walked to the beach, he was walking from side to side. How could he be so stupid, it was obvious she didn't want to be with him. He was a navi, he was sure you didn't even find him attractive. He couldn't stop thinking about everything he did, and that it was all for nothing. Maybe you were interested in another clan man, there were many better than him. He was so deep in thought, he didn't notice how you approached him. "aonung?" he turns around, you could see his look, he was kind of tearful and sad. "Y/N sorry really, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or tell you those things." He started talking, as you moved closer to him. "I know I'm not your type, there are many clan men who would be perfect for you… but I don't want to lose your friendship" aonung had sat down on the sand, while he was talking. You approached him and took his hand and handed him a bracelet. It had some blue shells on it, and various pearls. "I made it for you… I never dared to give it to you because I thought it wasn't enough. But now it's time, don't you think so?" you say, hoping that he will understand that you do correspond his feelings. He takes the bracelet and places it on his wrist. " It's perfect " He puts his hand on your face, to bring you closer to him. He gives you a little kiss, and pulls you away for a moment. " I see you, ma Y/N" you kiss him back, now wrapping your arms around his neck, so that you are closer. "I see you aonung" you say to him as you rub your nose against his nose.
‘C’mon baby just one more’ he cooed from under you, voice coming out muffled from your cunt over his mouth.
‘B-but nung-‘ you whined out, being quickly cut off by his lips sucking on your clit, causing another loud mewl to fall from your plush lips.
‘Shit—you taste so fucking good yawne’ he hissed, fangs grazing your lips as his tongue began to venture into your velvety walls.
You could feel your third orgasm already pooling in your stomach, legs trembling from the overstimulation and pleasure. Your hands gripped onto his hair so so tightly, almost ripping it from his scalp.
‘Shit Baby’ he teased, the pain from your grip egging on his pace on your drenched pussy. Your legs were desperately trembling, begging for another release already. He tightened his grip on your thighs, pulling you closer as you let out another loud moan.
‘I-I’m so close nungy’ you whined, panting helplessly as you moved your hips along his mouth—looking and searching for your release.
‘C’mon baby, cum for me’ he cooed, tongue circling around your clit. You let out one last whimper before your legs squeezed together, cumming into his awaiting mouth.
‘You taste so good baby’
Warning: mentions of jealousy, semi-public sex, degradation kink, angry!Neteyam
Pairing: Neteyam x F!Reader
Synopsis: He warned you to stay away from Aonung and his friends for he noticed their eyes full of lustful desires but what would Neteyam do if Lo'ak did to test his wrath.
Ever since you were young, you were known to be oblivious. Always known to cling onto Lo'ak or Neteyam when you're bored or scared. Neteyam or Lo'ak never minded, it was dine until you started to mature. Neteyam loves the feeling of you hugging him but as he got older, it was different. He took this as a stance to protect you, especially when you came to Awa'atlu with his family.
He knew when you're scared for you would always run into his strong arms. But tonight was different. You were in Aonung's arms and even worse, in his lap. Neteyam knew the Metkayina boy's intention and had to prevent it at all costs. One of Aonung's friend fiddled with your braids making you giggle. You allowed them to do this. He knew you were oblivious but this was bad.
He clearly warned you that he was the only man allowed to touch you. No one else. He grinded his teeth that threatened to break from his anger. He watched from afar as Lo'ak approach the group and immediately you jumped out of Aonung's lap into Lo'ak's arms. You were so happy. But why?
He was the only man you needed so why were hugging and sitting in the lap of the boy that attempted to kill his brother? Why were you so forgiving? It was annoying yet it still make Neteyam's cock ache for you. To pound you in front of them was the only way for them to know you belonged to Neteyam and only him.
He walked up to the group angrily and pulling you out of Aonung's lap and onto your feet. "Just borrowing her a little!", he said with the fakest smile you've ever seen in your life. He grabbed your hands aggressively and pulled you to his marūi. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Huh!", he yelled in your face as his braids swinger in the air.
"What are you talking about? You didn't think I saw when you were fucking doing? Grinding on Aonung's cock like a fucking whore!", he continued. You tried to leave but that was the biggest mistake you ever made in your life. You were thrown at the bed. He ripped your top off before biting on your neck. You tried you to push him off but you were small compared to the Sully boy before you.
He lifted your legs, aggressively kissing your thigh leaving uncountable purple spots because of his wrath. You were shocked. You swore his eyes were bloodshot red. You felt a sudden pain in your scalp realizing he was lifting you and your legs automatically walked towards the open window in the marūi. You suddenly realized what his plan was. It was to humiliate you for making him jealous.
You rebutted but he didn't even care about what you had to say. It was your fault after all, only if you weren't so oblivious to the truth of the world then this wouldn't have happened. He was the only man for you, the only man who can please you and you knew that. He had to break your mind one we are another, even if it meant to humiliate you in front of the boys that adored you so much. Even if it meant that one of them was his blood, his own brother.
Your nipples stood out in the cold wind, you felt tears running down your face. It would be so embarrassing if one of them saw you both like this. You attempted to wiggle your ways out of his grasp, what were you even thinking? How could you escape the hands of a mighty warrior?
" Wanna be such a slutty bitch, Huh? It's fine, let's show your little friends what my cock is capable of?", he whispered in your ear suggestively. Sometimes you wonder if you were out of your mind, but these little punishments were way more enjoyable than they were painful. You loved when he claimed you as his own yet you miss the sweet man you felt in love with. Oh well! He was just the same just more aggressive, more angrier than ever.
He was going to punish you break you make you bow before him just like you did in the village. Aonung thought he could spoil you . He dare to think that he could separate you away from him. Never! It would never happen!
You bit your lip trying to prevent whatever was trying to slip out from your throat. One sudden noise and the boys would have seen you outside of the window half naked but not knowing the truth that Neteyam was destroying your insides. He lift your leg up which caused him to gain more access. This made it harder for you. You wish you could turn back time, hoping you weren't so oblivious in the past not knowing the intention of Aonung earlier.
They're not in your stomach was starting to build up you couldn't take it anymore. You begged and plead with Neteyam to go slower but instead he went faster ignoring your words pretending like you didn't exist. Just like how you did, replacing him with another man.
Your hips collided with his continuously by second. You released yourself upon him painting hardly with your tongue out of your mouth. He knew you were over you was but still continued. After all, you knew you were with him yet you still continue to be oblivious to Aonung's touches. "Please Neteyam, I beg you! I can't go anymore!", your mind was no blank not thinking of anything else but the situation you were in. It was weird, embarrassing and humiliating but yet deep down inside, you knew you enjoyed it.
The group was separating now. Anyone could have walked in now you were panicking. Lo'ak's steps became louder and louder as he approached the marūi. Neteyam continued to pound you until he came inside you. Neteyam used his fingers to plug up your hole preventing his sperm for leaving. He kissed your ass before lying you on the bed.
"Sit on any man's lap other than when you're riding my dick, I will ensure they see your slutty face when im done with you!"
