So. Lesson 23, huh. How are you all Mammon lovers holding up?

We start right where we last left it off in lesson 22 : in the Celestial Realm about to be run over by Mammon who's apparently riding a pegasus chariot (that's SO COOL THOUGH I WANT TO SEE IT IN A CARD). He crashes the thing and before anyone can get into proper introductions, Mammon hears Michael's looking for him and runs away to hide, dragging both you and Little D with him.

They keep teasing us with Michael lol but ANYWAYS. After the scare you can hug him or pinch his cheek, and also show how happy you are that he's smiling. I found it really cute.

You can ask Mammon about his deal with Michael, then he says this.

They will be the death of me I swear to god.

Mammon, convinced you're two angels (??????), asks you to go with him so that can vouch for him to Lucifer so he takes Mammon under his wing. Sure, why not?

Mammon really adored Lucifer before they became brothers and wanted Luci to be the one who supervised him, but Mammon tells you that Lucifer keeps shutting his idea down and tells him he should stay with Michael instead.

Ah, good ol' Lucifer, doing "what I think is best for people without properly talking to them". He folds quickly, though, and basically tells Mammon that he will agree to talk to Michael about it if he manages to bring to Lucifer one rose from Simeon's garden before sundown. So off we go again.

We find Simeon in said pretty garden, reading a book. However, he says that said book is a book of prophecies, and the fucker just drops this line when Mammon asks him if he's learned anything.

Thanks, now I feel like crying.

Simeon does say he's probably destined to meet you again and that he will probably lose his wings, but that it's all up to interpretation, so he's not completely sure if he got his future correctly. Oh man.

Mammon decides to ask Simeon about taking one rose, but Simeon outright says no because the roses are from Father (gulp), so they're really important. Mammon desperately tells him that it's just one rose so Lucifer finally accepts his request, that he will do anything, and Simeon almost caves, but then asks Mammon if he'd ever considered how Simeon would feel after having to give away one of the important roses he'd grown from their Father.

Mammon doesn't want to hurt Simeon, but he doesn't want to give up on his dream either. In the end, Simeon decides to finally give him the rose.

We can ask Simeon about the roses being important to him, and he says "Yes, they are, but Mammon is just as important." I need A SECOND.

Mission success. With the rose in hand, the trio goes back to Lucifer, who's surprised Mammon has managed to get the rose in the end.

He looks satisfied, though, and tells Mammon that the reason Simeon gave him the rose was because of Mammon's determination, his grip on his dreams and what he truly wants...

which is also connected to his greed.

Lucifer tells Mammon said sin can hurt those around him, and that even if then he's still determined to hold on to the hopes and desires in his heart...

Mammon's memory ends there. For now, we don't know what Lucifer said next.

The first one right in the gut. Jesus.

But I have to say this talk with Mammon is one of my favourite parts thus far:

I really like the options we were given. He's got time to learn, and he's already kind, too.

SWEATS VERY NERVOUSLY.

But wait, we're not done yet, because this is when he finally remembers what was that Lucifer told him in the end.

HEY. HEY MAN. YOU CAN'T JUST HIT ME LIKE THAT. FUCK.

I wondered a lot back then in og Obey Me why was Mammon his favourite plus his most trusted brother, considering all we saw most of the time was their bickering or Lucifer chasing after an "irresponsible" Mammon. Sure, they had their moments, but nothing it's impacting me harder than their moments here in Nightbringer. I'm so glad we get to see them so close. It warms my heart a lot, because I did think Mammon deserved better treatment. I'm really happy they're showing how important he is to Lucifer and all of his siblings, plus how he's just... Mammon, not an idiot that gets hung from the ceiling or someone who bursts in when mc's having a moment with someone else. He's just Mammon, the Avatar of Greed.

When we wake up in Mammon's room after this, the new title is "Holding on to Hope." Whew man.

He gives you a hug first thing to make sure he's really back, too. He's the absolute best.

He feels really bad he put you through his outburst, too, and wants to make it up to you.

Sounds like a perfect way to settle things, honestly. WE GOT OUR FIRST PACT.

FINALLY. MAMMON HAD TO BE THE FIRST, OBVIOUSLY.

The final part of the lesson is about how Mammon is back to his usual level of greediness (and also really peppy and is pissing Belphegor off lol). Lucifer thanks you too, and you tell him that part of Mammon's recovery is thanks to his words back in the Celestial Realm. They all go back to normal, with Satan summoning something at breakfast because Mammon pissed him off and Lucifer having to intervene pffft.

Also, they mention this off handedly, but it soon becomes relevant: Asmo is missing from breakfast. It made me go "uh oh. He's next, isn't he."

Pan to the next scene:

Yup, he's next.

I actually had to go and look up the order of the pacts we make with the demon brothers in the og game because I wasn't sure if Asmo was second. I thought since Mammon was first that they were going to follow the same pact order, but it seems like it's not. In the og game Mammon was first, then Leviathan, Beel, Asmo, Satan, Belphie and lastly Lucifer. But here it seems Asmo is going to be second.

It breaks my heart a bit because in lesson 22 Asmo was terrified of ending up just like Mammon when he was fully consumed by his Greed aaaaa. We've already had a trip to the Celestial Realm with Asmo though, so I wonder if they're going to do the same thing as Mammon (showing the reason he chose to join Lucifer) or do something else entirely. We have to wait until next Friday to see it.

The extra scene takes place a bit after both Mammon and you wake up, leaving him to rest a bit while you go meet the rest of the brothers to give them an update. Simeon goes down memory lane about all the times Mammon had tried to get Lucifer's attention, including one time he went to grab a crystal lily for Luci, got himself lost and Lucifer had to go and fetch him. Another time he blew the kitchen up trying to cook dinner for Lucifer's birthday lmfao and when Lucifer's about to join in the fun of telling Mammon's old stories, Mammon bursts in and begs him to stop HAHAH

Okay this part was really cute www I love them.

After finishing the lesson you get a video call too! AGAIN! This time is just Mammon and you (before Levi and Beel join in), with Mammon begging you to keep quiet about the hug he gave you. It's short and funny. I wish I could add more than 30 pictures so I could show you Levi's 3d face here, because it had me cracking up lmfao

The hard mode scene takes place in Mammon's room as he's wondering if you two have really made a pact after all, because he feels no different and you should have a bit of his powers. As if on cue, you get a message that you've won the lottery and Satan pops in to give you money as thanks of giving him his wallet back a few days prior.

You use the stay command too, and Mammon comments that it's stronger now. That's a good sign that you're getting your powers back!

I'm really curious to see what it'll happen with Asmo ;u; and who the next brother will be, since it seems to be random (unless I'm missing something. It's not birth order, nor previous pact order either....). We shouldn't forget about that prophecy book, either. I don't trust any off-hand mentions in this game lmao.

Oh, and the German titles for the cards in normal mode this round are: Slothful Sieben for Belphie, and then it switches to different titles for the others. Great Acht for Diavolo, Confident Neun for Barbatos and Sacred Zehn for Luke. Simeon and Solomon are the only ones missing, then come the other three undateables (I think).

Lesson 22 came out last night aaaaaAAAAA

They always catch me by surprise, I swear... It seems this time they're releasing lessons every 7 days instead of 10.

Anyways, lesson 22!

We start the day by going to the House of Lamentation again. Mammon, thank heavens, seems to be acting a bit more normal. So far, so good.

Instead of the usual dynamic of Luci and Mammon, we get Belphie being worried about him this time around. I love these brothers so much.

Even while we're busy taking care of the brothers and walking them to RAD, Solomon's words about the possibility of getting stuck here ring through our head. We can't catch a break.

Things are chill for now. They're reuniting with Diavolo to try and get ideas for future RAD events, and Mammon comes up with something to raise up funds and... maybe things aren't back to normal just yet.

I CALLED IT PREVIOUSLY I mean it wasn't really hard, was it jdshfd but yes. They're starting to be less subtle about this whole thing being about Mammon being the Avatar of Greed. Diavolo's father gets a mention (gasp) and they even drop a bit of foreshadowing about how the titles he bestowed upon them seem to be important.

We get sent to clean the library (whohoo) and we're atop of the stairs cleaning the top of a shelf. Your shoujo or fanfic senses might tingle a bit. I mean, we already got a sprained ankle scene.

And there, we find a book. Not any book. THE book. The one that tells the story at the beginning of Nightbringer: the one of the human and the demon.

Cue me screaming.

GODDAMMIT.

They all guess the demon in the story is Nightbringer, and Satan comments that he found a mention about Nightbringer in a Celestial Realm book about the Father of Demons. Apparently, Nightbringer was The First Demon to be "born."

This whole thing isn't working on Barbatos' favor about NOT being Nightbringer, let me tell you. If I remember correctly, we are told somewhere (either main story or an event/card, I forgot haha.....) that Barbatos wasn't exactly born: he just started existing. He didn't have a childhood, he just poofed into existence. That would fit the First Demon ever.

However, there's no more info he can give us for now. To match the sprained ankle energy from lesson 21, the ladder shakes when we move and we fall down to the ground, BUT LEVI COMES TO THE RESCUE AND CATCHES US and honestly it was really sweet. Then shit goes down.

The title is "what's come over mammon", so you can guess where this is going.

This brings og!OM flashbacks where he says something similar, but it's not in this way. In the og!OM if you remember, around the beginning after he's grown attached, he says he's the only one that wants to come to your rescue, and that you shouldn't call anyone else first, but he's in full "tsundere" mode, so people found it endearing. This is going down a different route, but because Greed has fully taken over him, to the point he's going to actually fight his brothers over you. We all know Mammon, and how he wouldn't do this seriously. It's obvious something's wrong.

Asmo being really angry is such a treat to see, though.

We try "stay" and it doesn't work, so we try to step in. It doesn't work, either. Mammon's so gone it gets to the point he tries to shove you if you step in.

Satan tries to use a curse-nullifying spell, but it doesn't work because it's not a curse. Beel can't hold Mammon, who has even transformed, for longer, so the only thing you all can think about is to book it.

Thankfully, you all find Lucifer on your escapade, who sees Mammon on your heels and knocks him out with one hit. Damn.

So Mammon's now knocked out, and you're all watching over him while storming ideas...

They're so right on the money. I'm so happy the whole Avatar of Greed was said outright. Also if helping Mammon implies making the pact, it means they're all probably going to go through this. They're a bit scared, though... And that's why I see mc trying to do anything so they don't go through the same thing Mammon just did, even if it means giving up the pacts for now.

In any case, they're worried about how they can possibly end up being taken over, just like Mammon...

Lucifer comes to the rescue, saying he's spoken to Diavolo and that he's come up with an idea, so off we go. We get a bit more worried Belphie over his older brother as a treat before we leave, too.

According to Diavolo, the ones that can save Mammon are us (obviously) and Little D. No. 2 (what). Okay at first I was caught off-guard but then they dropped lore and I loved it and got hooked two sentences in. You know how the Little Demons have the Brother's qualities? Like, Little Demon of Greed, Little Demon of Pride, etc... all those little ones that are in the lower ranked cards? They get cool lore.

The Fairy King gets another mention! Solmare better not mention him too much, or people might want to see a design (it's me I'm people)

So apparently, every time a Demon is born, they can get a Little Demon counterpart, although it's extremely rare, yet according to Diavolo, every single one of the brothers has one, and those Little Demons are currently safe and sound working in the Demon Lord's Castle. Not for long, though, if the plot has its way LMFAO

This whole "mc entering Mammon's inner self to save him" is some Kingdom Hearts soriku kind of shit and honestly I live for it.

We have the option to consider sending one of the brothers instead, but we know Mammon has a special part of his heart reserved for us, regardless of where we stand with him, so in the end, we're the best option. I thought they'd send everyone together, since his brothers are also very important to Mammon, but maybe they'll play a role later. I want another Demon Brothers hug pile.

As a little add-on, Little Demon Number 2 is scared shitless of going into Mammon's mind, but the brothers staring very seriously at it plus us asking nicely (at least my option lol the other was "you've got self-esteem issues on par with levi" and I laughed way too much at that) make it fold pretty quickly pffft.

So we enter Mammon's mind in search of his inner self...

Of course it's the Celestial Realm HJDSFSF and the lesson ends just as someone (Mammon) is yelling "OUTTA THE WAY" near us.

Since this lesson was also short (9 battle stages and 8 story ones plus the extra), I went ahead and did the extra plus the hard mode. You also unlock a VIDEO CALL (AAAAAAA) but we'll see that one later.

The extra takes place as you're all walking to the library to clean it, talking about the 666 mysteries of RAD. Mammon is terrified, and admits he's been like that since Adam took over him.

Most options you get here are cute though lol (give him a laughing charm, a calming charm or prank him and make him more terrified) I have to try the laughing one. The calming one helps him and also makes everyone else ask for a charm as well.

The scene from hard mode is Barbatos looking around for Little D. No. 2. Clearly it's to bring it to the House of Lamentation, but Little D. is running away like a kid is running away from a parent thinking they're in for a scolding. Remember how Nightbringer is referenced as the Father of Demons? Okay it might be a bit of a reach but IT WOULD BE INCREDIBLE-

Anyways it gets found by Diavolo, who hands it over to Barbatos and gets dragged away to the House of Lamentation. Rip.

It's not over, though, because after finishing the hard mode, you also get a main story chat. We also still have to see the WW map situation, and actually both are related. I didn't realize though so I did the chat first and then the video call, but it made it funnier for me, so I'll put them as I read them.

Damn Solomon went STRAIGHT for his throat-

Note also the name he has saved Mammon as lol I love it. Between the German numbers in normal mode cards (this time we have Vier (Satan), Fünt (Asmo) and Sechs (Beel)) and this my nerd language lover is over the moon.

Well......... It was nice knowing poor Mammon. Seems like he has a contender about being greedy over you, too.

Okay but the fact that Mammon called MC's name when addressing Lucifer though that's actually pretty funny LMFAO

Then comes the video call, which is between Luke, Simeon and Solomon.

They're talking about Mammon, mostly because they're all worried about him, and Simeon lets slip that we are an important existence to Mammon, maybe even moreso than his own brothers, and Solomon latches to that piece of info while Luke begs Simeon to please stop talking... but it's too late. LMAO WELL. WE KNOW NOW WHO SPILLED THE BEANS TO SOLOMON.

rip Mammon........ oh Simeon what have you done...

Can't wait to see how the other siblings go through this mess and if we FINALLY get one pact out of this Our first pact AGAIN. And how we're gonna go on an inner-self adventure with their respective Little Demons. I don't like the way I'm wording this tbh JHDSFF

Lesson 25 is here! This week we solve Asmo's inner turmoil and finally find out why Barbatos hates Solomon's guts so much.

We got "eternal" for the rhythm games, too!

We start where we left off on lesson 24: entering the garden among Barbatos and Solomon looking for Little D. Nº5 to help Asmo.

Barbatos starts saying he remembers visiting Solomon in the human world, and Solomon begins to show signs that he remembers something. Then he says he remembers the when, just not the what, and Barbatos just gets more pissed off.

lmfao but finally, Barbatos gets to the crux of the matter: he went to visit Solomon and saw a list of all the demons Solomon had made pacts with...

And he was number eight.

That's all. That's literally the whole reason he's mad at Solomon. He's jealous and hurt due to a list. Holy shit.

Solomon tries to clarify he wrote them down without any order in particular, that he wrote them just as they came to mind. Someone save him he's making it worse.

Sorry Sol I love you I swear but I chose to back up Barbatos for fun

All this build-up for this. Incredible. I remember seeing people theorizing Barbatos' anger had something to do with time traveling shenanigans too. I was not expecting that. I prefer it over the feud he has with Thirteen, though, I know if it'd been about food I would've been disappointed. This is way funnier and you honestly don't see it coming ngl.

Back to the more pressing matter, Little D. Nº5 finds you, following Barbatos' indignation about being a "mediocre middle number", and without any previous warning, teleports all of you, it included, somewhere else...

That somewhere turns out to be Asmo's subsconscious, just like Mammon.

Asmo's on top of a throne, with Mammon, Levi, Satan, Beel and Belphie serving him around. They don't speak, they remain quiet even in front of you and Solomon points out they look worn out and exhausted, but Asmo doesn't seem to care. However when you ask him if "is this truly what you want?" you get points with him ;; hang in there, Asmo.

For now, however, he only has eyes for you and himself. He tries to beckon you, but you can resist. If you do, you win points with Barb and Sol.

Lucifer is missing from the group, though, and Barbatos notices.

Barbatos teleports both you and Solomon away to wherever Lucifer is, leaving him alone to fend Asmodeus.

You arrive in a weird dark forest, with a nice background music too.

Now that would be an interesting idea to explore, but I'll tell you here and now that sadly, no, we won't :( when asking Solomon, he just says this place might be so deep in Asmo's mind, not even he knows it exists. Mostly bevause this place doesn't "fit" Asmo.

You two have to look for Lucifer, though, because he seems important to Asmo just as he was to Mammon.

Yeah they do, despite all their bickering they really love their older brother.

After trekking for a bit you find a cabin in the woods, and lo and behold, Luci is there. You ask him why he's there, and he tells you he was a sorcerer that used to work under Asmo, until Asmo banished him for telling Asmo he was not beautiful, "not as you are now."

He asks about Asmo, so you can tell him you've just seen him or that you're going back to see him. Lucifer simpy gives you an apple to give to Asmo, and that's all you get from that little visit. Solomon, sensing it's the key for this, takes you both back to the castle where Asmo was.

Nor Asmo nor Barbatos are in sight, though, only the brothers and Little D. However, when you ask to see Asmo, the Little D. doesn't take it very well and does a 180 on you, commanding the brothers to get you.

Solomon, being our current knight in shining armor, tells you to run and go save Asmo while he covers you. We don't have a choice here, so we just run for it, leaving Solomon behind like this, probably.

We finally reach Asmo, who's alone in his room. There's no sign of Barbatos anywhere.

Asmo's delighted you came to "see" him, and continues to try and make you profess your undying love for him and that he's first above anyone else. Gotta snap him out of it.

We remember the whole Barbatos convo with Solomon about not being on top of the list here, too, and we use it to try and get to Asmo.

But it's not working very well...

He's about to lock you up (oh boy) when the apple Lucifer gave you falls to the floor. Asmo spots it immediately, realizing it's one of Lucifer's apples, Apparently, it's one of his favourite things, sp he takes a bite... and suddenly feels very, very sleepy.

Oh no.

Lucifer, always on time. Colorized.

The scene just ends there... and switches to this.

In hindsight I should've seen it coming tbh.

Basically, Asmo has fallen asleep forever. Lucifer has put him to sleep, granting his wish to remain forever beautiful by never aging.

Little D. Nº5 is inconsolable, and crying out as if he were Asmodeus himself. He keeps sobbing about how he doesn't want this, and how he wants to go back to his brothers :( Barbatos and Solomon think he's mixed with Asmo's feelings, or that he's embodied Asmo himself. In any case, what he feels is what Asmo wants, and him crying is just like Asmo crying.

But here we know how Snow White goes (at least the modified children's tale version...), so we step up to save Asmo.

I love the forehead option for them so much you have no idea-. I'm always surprised when they go on about love and I think I'm going to have to show romantic love towards one of them no matter what, and then I'm given a platonic option for it. I love that it's an option, even if I prefer the romantic type.

Whatever kiss you choose, it works, and you wake up back in the garden where Little D. Nº5 last teleported you. You're back with Solomon, Barbatos and the Little D, who's just snoring on the ground. It's adorable, but you have to go check on Asmo, so off we go to the House of Lamentation.

There's a bit of a commotion there, though.

If we think about the previous lesson with its chat + videocall at the end, we'll remember that all the brothers were talking about taking a little payback by drawing on Asmo's face as he slept.

Well, he's awake and yelling at everyone, so you can guess what's happening lmao

It is said (and proven) that Asmo's even scarier than Satan when angry. Also gotta love Lucifer smoothly avoiding his part in all this mess. Big brained asshole.

However your arrival makes Asmo flip completely. He's grateful you've saved him ;u; and offers to do anything in exchange.

So of course, we ask for a pact, bamboozling almost everyone else who's present. They don't think Asmo's gonna do it, but he does it in a heartbeat. WELL, TWO PACTS DOWN, I GUESS.

The end of the lesson starts, once more, with the brothers and you all enjoying breakfast together, but this time Lucifer ends up delivering a lecture that has everyone rolling their eyes and giving you pleading looks so you save them from this torture.

Asmo offers to team up with you to prank Lucifer. So you accept, obviously, because they're menaces and you can't really say no to them. Spoiled, the lot of them.

Anyways, you get to choose what prank befalls the poor man. I chose kitty speak. It was hilarious.

But now he's pissed off, obviously, so you all have to book it. A lighthearted end for this lesson. There's no clear hint (that I've seen) about who's the next demon that's going to succumb to his sin, so either they're moving to a mini interlude in our pact-making or they're leaving it as a surprise.

But we still have a videocall at the end of the normal story, plus the extra lesson and the bit at the end of the hard mode, so let's get to it.

The videocall is between Barbatos, Luke and Solomon, where Solomon apologizes for summoning Barbatos away when he was with Luke back in the previous lesson (when he needed help subduing Asmodeus). Solomon offers to pay Luke back for the scare by either helping him bake again or to make him a cake himself. Luke fights for his life trying to dissuade Solomon from cooking anything at all lmao. The call isall lighthearted and adorable.

The extra lesson takes place when Asmo wakes up in his bed after the whole ordeal, realizing how everyone's responsible for waking him up. He really wants to go to them and apologize, so he does.

Except, as we already know, his face is painted, so the brothers are having a hard time holding back their laughter, and it's not until Asmo finally sees his face that all hell breaks loose and the moment is lost lmao.

Then comes my favourite, the extra scene unlocked in hard mode. It's called "Butler for a Day".

You're sitting in the garden with Asmo and Barbatos while they're just talking about Solomon.

They also rip him a new one.

Barbatos asks you to please not be like Solomon now that you also have pacts, and to be considerate towards your demons. Sir this isn't our first rodeo sjdfsf

Here comes the kick, though: Solomon went begging to Barbatos to forgive him, saying he'd do anything to get back on his good graces, so Barbatos made him be Diavolo's butler for a day.

We actually see Solomon chasing Diavolo around, who seems to be having fun too lmao of course he would.

At least after this they should be on better terms...

And that's all for this week!

I, hm. I feel it wasn't as "deep" as Mammon's chapter, but maybe it's because they touched on Asmo's homesickness back at the beginning of Nightbringer. I liked that chapter of his a lot and how he was written there. Still, I sometimes feel they don't really know how to grasp Asmo beyond his "I want to be loved by everyone" thing. They could've delved a bit deeped in the whole "dark forest" part and how Asmo isn't always happy and probably gets tired of keeping up a smile for the sake of everyone (and himself too), but they just left it there. Maybe it's just me, that I haven't fully grasped everything in this chapter, but it's how I feel after finishing this one. I did like the start of Asmo's predicament, though, in lesson 24, with Solomon having to step in and actually fight him to stop him. The resolution doesn't feel as fulfilling as Mammon's did, and it makes me a bit sad for Asmo.

Asmo's really close with Lucifer, too. I don't know, I feel there's wasted potential ;;

Since there's no hint for who's next, I guess we can only wait...

Here we are on lesson 24, also known as: Asmo's Mess.

Lesson 23 here, where we helped Mammon settle with his Greed and it ended with us seeing Lust/Desire creeping up on Asmo.

We start the lesson with all of them in a RAD classrom with Diavolo announcing they'll be getting a full day of mock classes, taught by... Lucifer. None's happy about it. People get distracted, erasers fly around hitting people and as always, you're caught in the middle of some mess as Asmo passes you a note. Lucifer's not happy, but Asmo's bored out of his mind and just charms Lucifer so he cuts class short.

Not a good sign that he can do that to Lucifer. here's where I wondered if Asmo being able to charm us some lessons prior was due to his growth in power or because we were really weak.

It doesn't end there, though. Asmo immediately puts his charms to work on everyone to do his bidding. He makes Beel stay put as a windshield, he makes Belphie run for drinks, he makes Satan do his homework, Mammon go fetch nailpolish...

You can call him out on what he's doing is wrong, but he's not listening. Asmo tries to use the charm again on Lucifer to make him bark like a dog, but Lucifer being Lucifer, has built up a resistance and is very pissed off at Asmo and the treatment he's giving his brothers.

For some reason I can't comprehend, he's also pissed at the others for not being able to resist Asmo, nor building up a resistance just like he did, and pins the blame on every single soul around.

I think it's a bit of foreshadowing on his own shit coming up, because this makes no sense to me whatsoever. The brothers even call him out on it, but he's not having it. You're all punished with going to take care of Cerberus. That's a gift for me tbh. But goddamn. He's such a dick in this scene. I can think he's worried his brothers are not growing strong enough, but that's not how you do it. He gets no excuse.

Welp, off to go take care of a big dog. You all have to clean and feed him. None wants to be there, not even you, and you can complain about it lol but hey, we're the devilsitter. We have to be with them, even when they're sent to do their punishment.

Down there in the catacombs where Cerberus is, we get the "this menacing growling noise isn't actually Beel's stomach" gag that never gets old to me.

There's some minor complications while doing the Cerberus task, as expected, and Asmo gets fed up. However since it's his fault you're all stuck down there and he's even saying "you should all be grateful to be around me", a full fight ensues where Mammon just snaps at him and says he's not beautiful at all. Asmo immediately goes berserk.

Thankfully, the rest recognize it's the same power/breakdown that had happened to Mammon and try to run, but Asmo charms them all in place. You're the only one who's able to run away, and Asmo's hot on your heels, trying to charm you as well.

Lucifer appears right in the nick of time, just like last time with Mammon, but this time it's not easy for him. Asmo's power is out of control, and not even Lucifer can withstand it this time just like before. He tries to snap Asmo out of it, but it doesn't work.

Lucifer tells you that he won't be able to resist for much longer, and that you should go get Solomon.

You can try and say "no!" to avoid leaving him behind, but knowing how Lucifer thinks, it's better if you just listen to him and go since it's the only way out. If you stay, the time he wins might be for nothing. Look what I'm saying is just say "got it" when he tells you to go to gain some points with him www

Lucifer successfully teleports you away from Asmo and to Cocytus Hall, where Solomon is "cooking" in peace.

PLEASE-

I love Sol to the moon and back but my mc's a disaster gremlin. It was obvious what I was gonna pick. Anyways after almost snapping his neck (deserved /j), he agrees to help, so off you two go back to the House of Lamentation, where things have gotten pretty bad now that Asmo has all the brothers under his charm.

(You can ask about Simeon and Luke for points, and Solomon will tell you that they're at the Demon Lord's Castle, so they're safe. He also texted them to stay the night there for good measure.)

You try reaching out to Asmo, but there's still no change. The brothers, however, do hear you, but they can do nothing. All they do is tell you to run before he gets you, but Asmo hears this and is not happy that, even when they're supposed to be serving him, they're thinking about you.

I loved this confrontation with Asmo. He zeroes on you and the attention the brothers give you. He outright calls you a nuisance, and oh boy, Solomon hears that and immediately springs into action with a smile on his face.

I personally like how unhinged Solomon gets if anyone dares to lay a hand on you. Not even that, this was just an insult. One of my fav changes from the og game to nightbringer. Anyways-

Both go on a full showdown, fighting left and right. Solomon's more weak than usual (as we already know), which is not good considering Asmo's the one with the power boost right now. Solomon tries to subdue Asmo, but it doesn't work, so he decides to do "something I really didn't want to have to do, because know I will get yelled at later."

And he just summons Barbatos, who knows Asmodeus out flat with one hit.

Well, that worked.

After bringing a knocked out Asmo to his room to rest (and ordering everyone else to rest too after being under Asmo's charm) you hear that Barbatos is not happy about being summoned by Solomon, even if it was an emergency, and is making sure Solomon knows about it lmao.

He's also worried his sudden disappearance has scared Luke. You see, it's moments like these that make me think that even if Barbatos is Nightbringer, he's not bad, and I'd trust his reasoning for doing this with my life. He'd still the scolding of a lifetime, though.

Anyways they keep fighting- please stop-

They eventually realize they need Little D. Nº. 5 to help Asmo the same way they've helped Mammon, so off you three go to the Demon's Lord Castle.

Little D. Nº5 is in the Secret Flower Garden, which is not a Fun Place, apparently. But you're willing to go there to save Asmo (yay! points with Asmo AND Solomon ;u; you can tell they care about each other a lot more than they show)

And so we go in with an entourage... made of Barbatos and Solomon. Not a good combo, considering they're in bad terms lmao so off you go again, except it's awkward because they're not talking and we don't seem to like the silence. So we try filling it with talk and then-

THEN-

WE FINALLY GET TO ASK THEM WHY THEY'RE FIGHTING. ONE OF THE BIGGEST NIGHTBRINGER MYSTERIES-

-AAAAAAND HERE ENDS THE LESSON, GIVING US A CLIFFHANGER. I haven't been frustrated with a cliffhanger in this game for a while aaAAAAAAAAAAA UGH. ANYWAYS. We have a video call, but since it's related to a chat you get after finishing hard mode, so I'll put both together at the end.

The extra lesson is right after the charm effects wear off on Lucifer in the class at the beginning of the Lesson. As revenge, he turns Asmo into a frog. I have to admit it was kinda funny, until he turned everyone else into a frog because they were laughing at Asmo.

BITCH WHY?????? WHAT DID I EVEN DO?????? See what I mean when I said he's acting a bit more of an asshole than ususal-

The rest just beg Lucifer to spare you, so he does. But he's not done messing with everyone. He says kissing the frogs is the only way to undo the curse and asks you if you're willing to kiss these frogs to help them...

But the effects wear out on their own, and Lucifer admits he was just joking about needing to kiss them. Satan's the one that looks the most disappointed at the revelation, mind you wwww

The extra scene in hard mode is Simeon with Diavolo, commenting about the Founding Ceremony. Simeon says he can hardly wait, and Diavolo asks about if it would be possible for Michael to attend (!!!) and Simeon answers "he's too lazy to make the trip". I nearly screamed remembering he's been down here already as Raphael just to see Lucifer. I'm gonna cry.

Simeon does think that Michael might come just to see Lucifer. They're really hinting at him attending the Founding Ceremony, so I've got to wonder if he's really gonna show up, or if we're gonna do the Ceremony and THEN he will appear the next season as an exchange student. Simeon also comments that he wasn't the one supposed to come down to the Devildom-Raphael was, but he just begged and begged until he was given permission. He really wanted to see Lucifer so badly ;;

But then they comment on Lucifer and you, and how you two might be really important to the bridge they're trying to form between the Devildom and the Celestial Realm, and just about the Three Realms alltogether.

The scene ends with Luke running at them in a panic because Barbatos has just disappeared on him as they were baking together. Well, we know now at which exact moment this scene takes place lol.

So, the video call that you get at the end of the normal lesson AND the chat you get at the end of the hard mode...

The video call is all the brothers (sans Asmo, because he's conked out) commenting on various things, namely how they're on different rooms in case Asmo wakes up before you manage to grab the Little D. so he can't get to all of them at the same time, how they're worried about you (aw) even if you're with Solomon and Barbatos, and Lucifer with a really soft voice wondering how's Asmo. I'm not biased I swear-uh. Since Asmo's asleep, the brothers joke around about taking revenge about the charm thing, and how painting on his face might do the trick.

Beel, being the voice of reason, (and I'd like to point out he's the voice of reason a lot of times throughout the games, and I don't think it gets addressed enough) tells Lucifer he should stop them...

Incredible.

I enjoyed this call a lot. Every extra voice acting we get is a blessing. I feel like TWST has spoiled me on that regard lol

Then we have the group chat, where the brothers are writing to Asmo for when he wakes up and... well, I'll just show you. I said it was related to the video call, so you can get an idea of what's going on in there. It really made me laugh because I'm always happy to see them act as siblings lol

The chat made everything end in a lighter note for me. You really can't help but love them.

I get that Asmo's problem feels different and more fast-paced because it didn't have the same build-up as Mammon's issue did, but seeing the limited number of lessons we get per season, it's understandable. I'm wondering if they can fit the five remaining brothers' issues and resolutions in the lessons that are left before we reach Lesson 30... They could put Beel and Belphie together to save time, but I feel like Beel deserves a bit more of spotlight so I want him to have his own miniplot here with his Sin.

Looks like we're miles away from the Founding Ceremony still, but we need all the pacts before the date arrives, so I guess it's a good thing lol. Anyways, that's all for the week! And go drink water.

Oh and the new German titles on the normal version cards (which I just put here for the fun of it) are: Bright Elf (Simeon) and Divergent Zwölf (Solomon). Then they go back to Prideful Eins with Lucifer. I kinda wanted to see Raphael, Mephisto and Thirteen, but I guess they don't get any cool German titles yet.

Some Obey Me! Nightbringer commentary, up to Lesson 10 because I just finished it and I need to yell to the void about it 🥲 and for my own future musings when more content comes out...

I'm still missing some side lessons/hard modes because I need to get higher ranks to unlock them but the main story up to date is done!

First of all, I love a more chaotic MC. I also love time travel plots a lot, and how this game explores more deeply the relationship between the brothers: I felt they took it a bit more seriously than the og Obey Me! More seriously it's probably not the right word but... better paced? Which I like a lot considering they are still adjusting. I saw most of them struggling with issues I wanted to see in the og game and damn did I get fed. We haven't seen all of them in 10 lessons, but seeing them also worry about each other as they went through different shit was amazing, considering how they "joke" about leaving each other to their demise in the og game lmao. I liked this a lot more.

Also a day or two ago I thought about us still having the Ring of Light while progressing Nightbringer (I even went back to og Obey Me! to catch up... I left it on Lesson 68 and was saving up on rainbow sticks and AP, only for my dumb ass to forget that they have a promo of 0AP going on so I put on the seatbelt, grabbed my 70~ rainbow sticks and plowed through the damn thing up to Lesson 80 while I farmed some grimm in Nightbringer to level up my damn cards and continue the story when I was done. And I found out that yes, we still had the ring with us in the present) and how they would find out we had the thing. And lo and behold, on Lesson 10 Lucifer sees the Ring and flips his shit just like I hoped he would bc it's an important plot point and I was a bit worried they'd forgotten about it lmao. The brothers did see MC use the Ring before on Lesson 9 but Luci wasn't present and MC pulls a "oh they're just similar" and that's it bc they buy it lol I love them.

Also I thought it was weird none noticed we were human, but Diavolo was onto us on Lesson 8/9. He pulls us aside and outright asks and I was like "THANK GOD" bc SOMEONE between these powerful bastards had to notice eventually. I mean, I know people pointed out in og Obey Me! sometimes they can't tell and perhaps we've been with our demon and angel family too much so they kinda can't tell what we are. So. Yea. Also demons can change their appearance/don't always look like demons, so it made sense. But I still made fun of their radar lol.

And then Diavolo pulls a "you can't stay here as a human, the situation is already dire as it is" and I was like "WAIT NO GO BACK". I legit thought we could fly past it with a task, like the usual trials Diavolo puts MC through, but I underestimated how more serious Nightbringer was compared to og Obey Me! and at some point I legit believed we were going to get our ass kicked out of the Devildom by the end of Season 1 and we'd have to come back for Season 2, just like in the og game.

For the "Diavolo trial" (lol) I thought it was going to be the Mausoleum job Mammon mentions the moment we get back home, because it fits the usual MO (I had just done all the trials to get into the Student Council in og Obey Me!.....), but when we get there we meet Adam (who posseses poor Mammon) and hello there, YET ANOTHER MYSTERY IN THIS GAME, HOW ARE YOU? GOOD? GREAT! Leaving aside the whole Adam thing because that's a whole other suitcase to unpack another day and I'm not in the mood to revise Biblical history right now to look for Lilith+Eve stuff (and besides he said his beloved was in the Celestial Realm, so it can't be Lilith...... I think.) when he mentioned that a demon who called himself Nightbringer told him a human with the damn Ring of Light would lead him to his beloved in the Celestial Realm I almost flipped my shit. I kept changing my mind about the "unknown person" who sent us back being Barbatos because it could also be a red herring (god knows I've eaten those up way too much so I have Trust Issues with very Obvious Stuff), and past Barbatos didn't recognize us despite being able to see shit everywhere, past-present and future. But if future Barbatos wanted to keep his past self without knowing shit, I suppose he could also do it... So, yeah, I believe it's him, but for what purpose? I think he saw shit going down in the future and the only way to help us/everyone was to send us to the past without us knowing.

As an extra: before heading out to the Mausoleum job, MC wrote a goodbye letter for the brothers because of Diavolo kicking us out. When I tell you I got misty eyed xd like, damn. "Lucifer, be nicer to your little brothers." "I always had fun with you, Mammon." "We have to go bookshopping, Satan!" etc etc, it was all so sweet. We have it with us at the moment, but we didn't give it to them at the end Lesson 10 bc Shit Went Down (I'll get there in a second). Also there are little details, like them commenting how the "empty guest room" makes them feel so at ease thay they even caught Lucifer napping in there. Who tf is cutting onions.

I thought it would be a while until we revealed we're a human to the brothers but Lesson 10 had other plans (very cool Lessons 9 and 10 btw, with Beel's and Belphie's stuff going on and Lucifer trying to face Diavolo for the sake of his little siblings I love this man so much)

and then, after a Cool Heroic Moment after which we are left out in the open bc we used all of their powers oops, they leave us with this confrontation and A CRIMINAL CLIFFHANGER.

Lucifer doesn't exactly buy it for some reason because we're too op lol and Belphie is reclutant for obvious reasons. And they end it with this as the final blow:

Oh you think the next stage before the boss battle is going to be the end of this convo? Nope: it's Solomon and Simeon being cryptic. I wonder what Solomon told Simeon. He warned us about Time Paradoxes so I don't think he'd go that far to tell Simeon. Solomon did tell him something though, and we won't know what it is yet......

I am suffering here. But God Nightbringer gave me a lot of good stuff. I will eat this time travel plot like candy. I feel I'm being spoiled by the game with all the scenes they're giving me and I'm enjoying every second of it. Plus the dynamics, I already talked about the brothers between each other, but there's also new stuff, like Barbatos hating the absolute shit out of Solomon. After Solomon uses his pact on him to save our asses he takes revenge on the Sorcerer lmfao I KEEP WONDERING WHAT DID SOLOMON DO TO HIM TO GET HIM SO PISSED OFF?? But man that was hilarious do it again.

Bonus Barb: one of the last things you can say to him in og Obey me! is "I love you" so if he's Nightbringer it's going to be Fun (and I can't WAIT I've grown fond of Barbatos too agh).

Plus there's the whole Simeon being human issue, but he seems to be faring better at the end of the game. He keeps saying "He (Michael??? Their Father????) probably had a reason to do it" but it won't stop me from kicking some Angel ass ngl. It's gonna be fists out with Michael the moment I see him, I swear.

Plus I want to see the present demons losing their shit with MC disappearing. I bet they're all frantic o(-< and Solomon said he can go back and forth between fuckin dimensions, so he could probably go back and tell them we're okay???? But he hasn't. I think. This is a mess lmao poor MC and demon family. He does say if something happens to us Lucifer will have his head, so..... you can do it, Solomon, I believe in you jdfgsdg

I can now farm side lessons and hard mode at peace for extra scenes, wooo.... o(-< oh and there's new songs in Lesson 10, but only in Lesson 10. The duets/group songs remixes were there and they were a breath of fresh air ;u; I hope they add more.

Time to farm side content in peace and prepare my cards for when they release the next lessons............ whenever it''ll be. Sobs.

ALRIGHT LET'S GO

I can't believe Belphie came straight for our throat AGAIN (Diavolo seemed to want to stop him THANK GOD) and Lucifer was reeeally pissed off, but understandably so if we get in his shoes. Solomon rescues our ass from this bunch of demons and whisks us away. I wished we could've talked it out, but you know, bit of extra angst doesn't hurt. Especially if we get to see Thirteen BECAUSE YES SOLOMON TAKES US TO THE REAPER'S CAVE AND I WAS DYING TO SEE HER AGAIN. AND WE DO. MY GIRL.

I also thought they'd give her Reaper clothes since, well RAD soesn't exist (yet) but. Lol. My dreams were dashed. They did address the issue of why she was wearing it to excuse the lack of a new design, which made me lose my shit laughing. Okay fine, I'll drop it for now, Solmare, BUT MY GIRL DESERVES MORE CLOTHES. I WILL BE WAITING.

Also the casual drop that she has a sister named Candy. Now I wanna meet her.

Anyways I digress, I love Solomon and I said I trusted him with my life. Until now, because this fucker dropped this shit on me and I legit had to put my phone down for a couple of seconds.

Son of a bitch. You kitchen-destroyer menace. You death-chef bastard. You can't ask THIS of me. Out of ANYTHING you could've asked mc, this fucker pulled the worst one. I'm so mad because I refuse to lose trust in Solomon in Nightbringer despite this story bombs being dropped on me, but this combined with something else later in ch11 makes me want to be wary. But I also don't want to, because despite all story hints, I don't believe for a second they'd hurt mc, so I'm grabbing every bull thrown at me by the HORNS and every single one of you WILL BE SAFE by the end of this story OR SO HELP ME.

Speaking of horns. The demon bros follow us, obviously, except for Beel (who we knocked out in lesson 10), Belphie (who stayed behind with Beel obvs and also he wouldn't come to help us because he's hurt and angry and the Lilith wound is still fresh I get it Belphie I DO—but DAMN it STINGS) and Satan who already had stayed back at the House and my boy is missing this whole party. I legit yelled when I heard Mammon's scream in the Reaper's Cave.

I loved how Asmo, Levi and Mammon came to warn us that Lucifer was coming, because they're worried and I love them so much I COULD KISS THEM. I kinda wish the Mammon turned into Little. D gag didn't last for the rest of the lesson though. Asmo himself ways it makes this thing less serious. Oh well. I hope he gets turned back soon bc shit went down later and we need EXTRA HANDS ON DECK.

and finally I got the option that I wanted: that we wanted to talk to him. Or we can defer to Solomon. If my eyes keep narrowing at him I might as well close them and fall asleep. Anyways hell no, Sol dear, sorry.

So when he appears down we go. Everyone's worried sick. Solomon reminds us about siding with humanity if things go down bad and while I adore my fav sorcerer, I refuse to fight the demon brothers, so my choice was made in case they made me pick a side (and I was scared they'd make me choose lol). Anyways Solomon and Lucifer looked about ready to rip each other apart, but Lucifer held him in place and I was. Not expecting that. I thought Solomon would be able to fend him off at least a little bit, but I was wrong.

Obviously his target is us. Not Solomon. Oh boy.

I love this man so much. He's obviously wary of us because we have power over them and he sees it as a threat to his family, so I can't hold his anger against him even as he froze Solomon on the spot (not literally but, well, I bet he would have) and kinda. Tried to attack us. Oops. However, he doesn't know us, and he's doing what he thinks it's best to protect his family. I kinda get his point even if I don't agree with it, and it kinds reminds me of the Belphie situation in the og one: he's doing what he thinks is best, but he Fucks Up because we've been nothing but helpful and well, he's probably seen we've been helping his brothers. They defend you, too, but Lucifer is Not Having it for the moment.

Here has a choice that I love, if you pardon my Luci brainrot for a bit:

If we choose that one it doesn't clarify what we mean, but we gain points with him, because we know. He's hurt. Plus we have the ring, and again there's the fact that we have power over them, that they gave us, yeah, but they don't know about it. He's probably freaked out, at least a little bit.

Anyways I love Thirteen for busting our asses free and throwing us a Grimoire, which can be used to control demons, apparently, and if it was mentioned in the og I forgot about it. Oops. Well, I love that our only option is to give Luci the grimoire as a gesture of good faith because they're our demon family and just like Luci, we're doing our damn hardest to protect all of them.

If you say "I love all of you", you get points with Mammon, Asmo and Levi. If you choose that you want to protect them, you gain points with Luci instead. I need a second-

And this is when shit goes down for me because SOLOMON LOOKED SO DISAPPOINTED WHEN YOU HAND OUT THE GRIMOIRE????? And Thirteen did say he wanted it... because the Grimoire allows control over the demons. Sol is not making it easy for me here in this damn game.

(edit: also apparently it's. it's the goddamn Grimoire that's over Lilith's tomb in the og game, the one Luke finds when they go down to the Catacombs. Holy shit.)

And with the previous "siding with humanity" dialogue it's just. Alarm bells all over, non-stop. I don't know if we get different choices if we lean on Solomon too much, or if MC is following their own path in this mess so it doesn't matter what we choose before. Do we have a choice? Or MC has their own path that they will follow, which is protecting their family? Mind you, my mc's family is all of them: Demons and Purgatory Hall, so before choosing a side they'd stop this "war" from happening. I think this is what mc will choose, if it comes down to it. Perhaps this is what Nightbringer wants? But no demons/angels/humans war happened in the future where we come from, so it wouldn't make sense unless it will happen after our future time, where we can't stop it for some reason, and the only way is to send us to the past so we fix this mess before it happens.

Can you imagine? Barbatos sent us to the past because we can save everyone. I'd say Solomon followed without Barbatos knowing, but... I'm not so sure. My trust compass is going nuts, and I don't want to. I want to trust Solomon. I hope after the Grimoire thing he lets it go, because he has to know mc better than that: he has to know mc would choose their family over everything else in a heartbeat, and if there's a choice to stop this war-mess from happening, they will do it, even at their own peril. Maybe Solomon is trying to stop us from fucking dying because we'll end up choosing that option, who knows? It's an scenario that could fit. If the demon family was the cause of mc's death I think Solomon would burn down the House of Lamentation without a second thought to spare if it mean saving mc. Which is a problem.

There is an extra tidbit before the demons show up in the Reaper's Cave, where Thirteen tells us a bit more of Solomon lore, with a sprinkle of Barbatos.

I'd think Barb and Sol were working together, honestly. Even if Barbatos hates his guts now for some reason lol. If Solomon had done something grave, I think Barnatos would be way less lenient with him. As far as I can tell, he's just annoyed at the moment, so... no world-threatening betrayals, hopefully?

Back to the present with Luci and the present brothers. We give them the Grimoire, and then we fuck up.

Solomon tried to make us promise to aid humanity before, but both Thirteen and MC stopped in their tracks. Thirteen said "it's against the rules". If it's in the og, I forgot about it o(-< but by their reaction, it doesn't sound good. While doing this draft, I saw someone (edit: it was "still a morosexual help", bless them I love their om comments because I tend to ramble and miss points and reading their stuff help me keep in track of little things I missed!) say it might be because it's a bind. So, well, shit.

And we get a cliffhanger with that line as the end, because screw us, that's why. Who's responsible for these two cliffhangers in a goddamn row. I just want to fucking TALK. I started this lesson at 2:30am when I saw the notification and it's almost 6am now and the energy I gained doing this has died down.

The writing sure feels like it's gone up a notch. I'm living for it, honestly. Can't wait for Lesson 12 and see how we screwed up. If it's a bind, well, we'll roll with it lol.

SO LESSON 21 DROPPED LAST NIGHT OUT OF THE BLUE.......

LET'S DO THIS.

We start with a bit of whiplash because the brothers are getting ready for RAD in their school uniforms, but RAD is not quite open yet. There's still two months for the Founding Ceremony, and today the brothers are helping around the school doing chores. They're also excited you're walking with them, Mammon the most of all. Love the spotlight on him always, they even call him out on his eagerness lmao.

Satan is having trouble with a jar of marmalade, and you try to help him with magic... but it's not working. And it's not the jar. It's clear something is wrong with your magic, but since you still use a spell to stop the jar from spilling all over the brothers (and it works), it gets forgotten quickly. Weird.

You can tell something is in Lucifer's mind, being the most perceptive of the brothers. I think he's noticed that failure at the beginning wasn't just a fluke. Something is wrong with your magic, but apparently you brush it off since the mc doesn't comment on it again.

Then I just got excited because WE HAVE A NEW SONG MAP!! "IT'S MY PARTY!" IS FINALLY HERE! And it has a new pretty background too! We also have new UR cards in hard mode ;u;

Also in normal mode we have new cards too, and I usually don't pay attention to those, but this time they caught my attention because they had German on the titles for some reason and I'm a language nerd so I just can't help but point them out.

For example, Lucifer's card is called "Prideful Eins", Mammon is "Greedy Zwei" and Levi is "Envious Drei". Sounds cool and that's probably all there is to it aaaa ANYWAYS BACK TO THE GAME-

Some shenanigans happen where they all want you to fix their uniform. Nothing out of the ordinary.

When we arrive Mephisto is already with Diavolo. He tries to get a rise out of Lucifer, but he gets ignored and quickly gets distraced since he's "the best suited demon to take care of RAD's newspaper". Barbatos asks us to keep an eye on the brothers as they do their chores by pairs, and we have to bring a report to Lucifer about their performance as well. The job of a devilsitter is never over.

Simeon and Luke are still around, but they're only staying until the Founding is done. They're not enrolled in as exchange students just yet after all, and Luke's sad about it. Simeon calls him out on it www I love this child.

Anyways you arrive to the first pair and then you get this ominous title that confirms that yes. Something, definitely, is not right.

First we have Satan and Belphie, who got demoted to weeding duty after Lucifer caught them slacking in the library (they were supposed to be cleaning but went off looking for curses instead. Of course.)

Satan has no right to be this funny is2g.

However they're close to fighting, and Satan is done with this ardous task, so he decides, being the smartest person in the area, to summon a hellfire salamander to burn the weeds. He might be the smartest around but it wasn't his turn with the braincell today, huh.

Anyways it goes bad, as expected, but we can see what this little plot is for: it's not to cause trouble, but to show you that yes, your magic is growing weak. You can protect both brothers with water, but none of you can send the salamander back. Thankfully, Solomon appears out of the blue and solves this mess. But he also notices that something's wrong.

He says this when you ask. Alright then, keep your damn secrets.

Next up are Asmo and Beel, and again we can see something is definitely wrong. Asmo asks us to help them to cheat by using magic so their cleaning goes faster. You have the option to comply or refuse. I refused, and so Asmo used his charm on me. AND IT WORKED. I THINK IT SHOULDN'T HAVE WORKED????

Regardless of your choice, magic is used, and then it gets out of control. The brooms/mops move on their own, but so do Beel and Asmo and now they can't stop their bodies as they move around cleaning non-stop. You have to undo the spell before anyone gets hurt.

mc PLEASE

We use the "stay" command to stop them since we can't find another way to undo the spell, and it works... But it's not the same. It feels weird, and even Beel and Asmo mention it.

They've stopped dropping hints and just outright said it: our magic is fucked.

Now, since by using stay we made Beel and Asmo fall on us, Beel has to carry us to the classroom to look for something to heal our ankle that just got sprained by this mess. BUT BEEL PIGGYBACK MOMENT.

Levi and Mammon are inside the classroom, also ignoring their cleaning duties, obviously. They're on their phones instead. Mammon immediately gets bossy when he sees that you are hurt, I love it. But again, things go wrong, just that this time it's not how you might expect it. You find an ointment for your leg, but...

Mammon starts acting weird as well, as if he's blinded by greed and nothing else, like he can't even see you: he only sees profit and ignores that you need help. That he's not actually joking makes it look really bad.

I believe they wrote Mammon in this part to be such a dickhead so you would definitely notice that something is wrong. Like, they exaggerated his sin so bad so every single person can tell that something's wrong. I'm not really bothered by it (but I do feel a bit sorry for him kjdsf) because not only I think that's the reason, but I also think he won't be the only one changing. Personally, I think that they're going to be fully turning into the avatars of what they embody, and it's up to us to help them to keep their shit together.

The present brothers (Levi and Beel) call out Mammon, understandably. Simeon comes in to cut the fight before it starts and uses a healing spell on your leg. Problem solved, except now we got confirmed that shit's starting to go down and we don't know from which direction this mess is coming.

The chores are done, so time to head back with everyone and give the report to Lucifer.

I'm crying. I mean, he's not wrong.

They were all walking disasters so of course they get a lecture from their older brother.

Barbatos brought cookies, the sweetheart please give me your birthday card I am suffering over here I have no vouchers and he's hidden a lucky coin in one of the cookies that supposedly brings good luck to whoever carries it. And we got it!

I love this option. We give it to Simeon for good luck (I can't help but think that mc is thinking about the Simeon in the present, who was demoted down to a human......) but he insists that you shouldn't give it to him in exchange from him helping you with the ankle before...

So Mammon yoinks the coin instead. Wow.

He gets called out on it. And yeah. He's definitely off the rails.

Finally we notice, as the mc, that Mammon is acting strange.

And so does Luci, as Mammon keeps talking about money on the way home, happily flipping his coin. He's not calling him out on his behaviour, though. I wonder if he's just watching so he can get a better grasp of the situation. He hasn't mentioned a thing about our magic failing this morning either.

Mammon bumps into Belphie, who's suddenly stopped, and the coin falls and gets lost on the street. Mammon gets unreasonably angry at Belphie about his coin. driving home the greed point. Belphie feels bad, and finally, Mammon seems to realize that he's going overboard and just walks home :(

My favourite part here was that when you talk to the brothers about how Mammon has been acting strange, you get points with both Lucifer AND Mammon.

The lesson ends with us having a bit of a stressful talk with Solomon back at our home.

I assume that's what he noticed when he used his magic to fucking yeet the hellfire salamander away.

Well shit.

So we have these two months to do the Pacts again, or we're screwed.

At least he's trying to cheer you up.......

Then he finishes dinner while we're not looking and it's the end of lesson 21 so I assume we just fucking died on the spot.

I'm joking AFTER THIS WE HAVE A VIDEO CALL. PLOT RELATED. AT LAST. IT'S BEEN SO LONG OH MY GOD I NEED MORE OF THOSE I don't mind the models I've grown used to them. They're fun to watch and they're fully voiced!! It's basically you, Satan, Belphie and Asmo talking about Mammon, who hasn't gone to eat dinner even :( they just tell you not to worry, as if this won't be turning into everyone's problem soon hfjdhf oh dear.

It's short but I hope there's more calls in the future...

The extra lesson is right after Mammon left, where Beel, you and Luci go to buy groceries for the House of Lamentation. They give him a long-ass list of extra things to buy and this poor man is just Tired and Done. But he does it anyways for his siblings.

There's a bit of a memory game going on during this whole lesson where you have to remember everything the brothers asked of Lucifer and help him get the stuff. They did it too in the classroom bit where you sprained your ankle. I don't know if you showing you have incredible memory (or not) is going to be relevant, but it's fun. C-check the log? What log? Cheater? Me? I don't know what you're talking about-

Lucifer only tells you "not to worry" about Mammon and sadly that had the total opposite effect on me because I'm sure this fucking stupid man said this bit because his Pride is showing, just like Mammon's Greed, and will try to solve it on his own. This is going to be a smackfest of mc vs the brothers and we're going to go ONE by ONE telling them to tone it down, isn't it.

Since this lesson was shorter than the others, I also went ahead and did the hard version. I wanted the extreme version of "it's my party!", but not yet :( anyways the hard lesson scene is ahout Mammon and Simeon.

Simeon is having trouble choosing what to add to his hot cocoa when Mammon walks in. Simeon seems chill towards Mammon, being the angel that he is, even if Mammon basically took your gift away from him.

Mammon looks like he's about to say something about the coin, I think he was about to apologize, but eventually switches the topic to Simeon's choice dilemma and just says this:

That can't be tasty, Mammon......

What Mammon said reminds Simeon of this so he just pulls a uno reverse on Mammon, who pretends that doesn't remember. I love this angel so much.

Mammon says that he's going out for a walk, but Simeon knows that he's going out to look for the lucky coin, so he goes and places a blessing of luck on Mammon so he finds it and sends him off.

Also the cocoa tastes disgusting. That's where the hard 21 scene ends lmao.

I have to say, I love the conflict that's building up. Like, I know in ogOM Mammon was a bit of the butt of the joke and got called out a lot on his greed, and I think a few people aren't going to like this lesson because it feels like it's going back to that point, but I personally don't mind it as much because it's not "part of Mammon" as it was in the og (it wasn't even THAT bad either, if anything, it might be just like when you two first met), but it feels like a "plot point", exaggerated too so you notice the change from how he's been in Nightbringer up to this switch. Hell, they even want YOU to see that he's going overboard by taking the coin you gift to Simeon when he politely declines it. Not even YOU are exempt of his greed, as you can see when he refuses to give you the ointment for your swollen ankle unless you pay him, and that by itself is the biggest red flag I've ever seen on Mammon tbh. Like, damn, they really wanted you to see it jdsfsf.

I wanted even more conflict so that's what Solmare is giving me I GUESS lmao

And I love that the pacts thing is moving forward with a sense of urgency now. We have two months left as our power runs low or else we're getting stuck here forever AND we're also growing weaker while the brothers are, for some unknown reason, (potentially and just one brother for now) becoming assholes by fully embodying their own avatars. We've been OP for too long. Time to get humbled. I bet Michael is watching with popcorn.

There's also no sign of Michael yet btw, as expected. Seeing the direction this story bit is taking, I feel he's not gonna show on this arc just yet. We have this mess to solve before the Founding Ceremony, so maybe after? I wonder if Solmare will tease a silhouette at least lol.

Can't wait for the trouble.

Lesson 26! No breaks for us because another brother is in trouble.

(couldn't get to it sooner, life was a bit hectic and i got burnout so i needed to rest whoops)

We have two videocalls this time around, too!

Last time they left us with no hints whatsoever about who would be next, but don't worry because we're not getting any breaks.

The lesson begins with Lucifer giving the brothers yet another class, this time about curses. He's really good at it, to the point Asmo calls Satan out on his silent admiration for Lucifer. They also point out that when Satan failed to do the curse as Lucifer did, he didn't "flip out" as he would've done in the past.

Lucifer has been studying hard on his own so he could teach the brothers, and well, Satan finds that rather admirable. But we know Satan and how we're not gonna get those words out of him willingly.

Nothing out of the ordinary is happening so far. The next scene is the brothers having ice cream as they return home, and then the convo turns into how the rest of the brothers, after Mammon and Asmo, will probably go through the same thing that they did.

Then, they show interest for all the Little Ds, especially Satan's. As if on cue, Diavolo appears out of nowhere and offers the group to take them to the castle to meet Satan's Little D.

Apparently, the poor thing had been confined due to its outbursts of violence until recently. Considering the Little Ds are the demons' counterparts, they all agree the timing matches with Satan calming down as well. Little D. Nº4 is under a pile of books, and it looks like it's asleep (or dead, according to some of the brothers lol), but Barbatos simply confirms it's reading a book in peace.

They tease Satan a little bit though, and he leaves embarrassed.

At this point we can tell the next brother going through an endeavour is going to be Satan, probably.

We decide to go home too, to find-

Is Solomon cooking-

Son of a bitch you're banned from the kitchen for a REASON

After finding the kitchen on fire and seeing the usual Solomon gag where he doesn't seem to realize he's a cooking hazard and can't even boil water (he was trying a recipe from Barbatos, though, now we know they made up!), the conversation turns towards again a very serious topic: his magic is becoming weaker, and he suspects it's because you two are "not supposed to occupy this place in space-time."

And the options we get here are very interesting.

I mean, I'm sure if he returns without us the brothers will have his head. And arms, And legs, too.

Here I tried both options: if you ask him about his magic, he says his source of magic is infinite, so he really won't ever run out of it, it's just that it grows weaker.

If you tell Solomon to return on his own first, you gain points with him, and he says that there's no way he's leaving you back here alone. He'll stay and wait with you until you're able to return with him.

The scene ends with Solomon wondering how would your two little spirit counterparts look like.

The next scene is in class again with the brothers, except this time the one giving the class is Mephistopheles (oh boy). He's asking about the first Fairy Monarch (FAIRIES AGAINNNN SOLMARE I'M WATCHING YOU), and he tricks Satan into giving the wrong answer.

He gloats about it too, and Satan has had enough: he curses Mephisto's book with the curse Lucifer showed them the previous lesson, turning the book into a spider that gives poor Mephisto a hard time.

And of course, with his impeccable timing, Lucifer appears just in the nick of time.

After the lesson is done (and probably after a thorough scolding), Lucifer calls out to you, asking you to check up on Satan. Apparently he's worried because Satan looked as if he was sulking when Lucifer was done with his scolding.

He phrases as "see what he has to say" but this is the Avatar of Pride talking. He's gonna hide he's worrying about Satan because they're both such stubborn mules. Anyways.

We do as told because we're the assistants and also they're our beloved found family, so we can't leave them be to sulk on their own. We find Satan in the library at the Demon's Lord Castle, where we saw Little D. Nº4. The little demon is still reading, and Satan is engrossed in his own stuff as well.

Well, guess we found the driving force that made Satan become extremely good at curses in our time.

We can stay with him and read, or leave. In any case, the scene ends.

And now THE CRISIS.

The next morning we arrive at the House of Lamentation to find everyone running around in a panic, looking for someone.

And that someone is Satan, who apparently didn't come home the night prior. We know we left him in the library, so we take the brothers there to check on him.

But he's not waking up. They suspect he's caught on the same mess both Asmo and Mammon went through, and well... Satan does have his Wrath a bit under control, or at least he's trying really hard with it, so I'm doing my best to understand the lack of build up here, or at least a build up just like the others. Then again we're not done, so maybe the stuff that hits hard will be inside his mind. And we've already seen the brothers dissuade Satan from thinking that he's not a part of them.

I offered to save Satan (and got points with him too!) but this time around every single one of the brothers say they want to come with us. I found it a nice gesture, especially if they want to solidify even more that Satan is part of the family even if he was not born an angel.

So you all go in... and it's a literal storm.

Satan's mind is a mess, it seems, and the lesson ends right there as you all venture inside his mind.

The extra lesson takes place when you're all going to the Demon Lord's Castle to meet Little D. Nº4, as Diavolo wants to stop a moment to buy an ice cream just like the rest of the brothers were doing before he appeared. However the ice cream can have magic effects, and he takes one that makes whoever eats it to confess stuff. He just starts blurting at Barbatos every time he snuck food from him and when he last slacked.

Belphie got the same ice cream too.

Lucifer wonders if he should give all the brothers the ice cream to see what happens and Mammon panics. That's it, just a silly moment with them and Diavolo lol.

The scene we get after doing the hard mode is Solomon locking eyes with Mephisto and approaching him as if they were pokémon trainers lmfao.

Sol dares Mephisto to come over if he's not scared of him, and Mephisto, being Mephisto, takes it as a challenge. Oh boy.

But here is where we see Solomon at his best manipulative self.

Look at him, knowing where to pull to bring Mephisto to his side. It's obvious he wants to make a pact with Mephisto, but the demon has eaten the piece of cake Solomon has made... so he just passes out. So no pact for Solomon today.

Now, the two videocalls:

One is between Mammon, Levi, Asmo and Belphie, where they wonder about what kind of Little D. would you have, and how would it act. It was really cute. They all ended up thinking it'd look like a sheep.

That's an adorable thought actually lol.

The second videocall is between Lucifer, Diavolo and Barbatos, and it's also about Little Ds. Lucifer is curious to know if Diavolo or Barbatos have one as well, but Diavolo says he doesn't. Barbatos, however, remains elusive, and it sparks Diavolo's interest, who believes Barbatos is avoiding answering the question because he has one.

Lucifer catches up to Barbatos, though lol. Barbatos does say that he's been found out, so it's safe to assume he doesn't have any spirit counterparts. Besides, Barbatos is kind of an special demon who wasn't even born, he just poofed into existence, according to him, so that would complicate things a bit, because Little Ds are born at the same time as a demon. Unless it also poofed out of nowhere, which could also be. But here he's just probably teasing Diavolo.

I wasn't expecting Satan to be the next one on the list, but I was curious to see how it would go down when it came his time in this mess. I can't say it's slow or that action is missing, because we haven't seen the inside of his mind yet. There's no build-up, but maybe we'll get the action on the next lesson inside Satan's mind.

It's nice that all the brothers are in, though. Satan's going to need it if his mind is such a mess.

Well, that was enough. Can't wait for lesson 27, Satan's one of my favourites and his dynamic with Lucifer is just so good (to me, personally) and I love when they interact aaaaa

I just did Nightbringer's lesson 19 and 20 on hard mode.

Holy shit.

Ok so lesson 19 is just cute and adorable and basically Thirteen gushing about us to poor Mephisto who she caught in her radar. I love her.

That's cute and fine and dandy but now. Now. Now. Lesson 20. Lesson fucking 20.

It starts with Raphael speaking to someone. They don't tell us who they are, but I think it's pretty clear.

So Raphael is mad at Michael. At first you assume it's because Michael made him go down and confront the brothers and give them the offer to come back. But.

But. But you were there, Raphael.

Here is where it clicked for me. There's no fucking way Michael was the one that came down to the Devildom as Raphael. There's no way.

But there's Raphael giving a report on Michael's absence (when it was theoretically Raphael the one who went down to the Devildom), plus Raphael asking about the offer and the brothers' reaction.

Son of a bitch.

While I went into overdrive thinking that we actually just met fucking Michael Raphael asks him "what now", because well, they did reject his proposition to return.

I THOUGHT THE PLOT BOMBS WERE OVER. IS MICHAEL ACTUALLY COMING AS AN EXCHANGE STUDENT TO THE DEVILDOM.

And Michael just runs off oh my god kjsdfhdsf

I would think Michael acts like a dork and that he's adorable if he wasn't. You know. Utterly terrifying. I'm still not over Simeon's punishment in the og!OM, let alone the brothers's lack of support and. That he is very wary of us.

Cue Lesson 13 when he wakes us up:

Sweats very nervously. You know, there's a part of me that can't resent him being midly hostile (and even then he saves us twice) towards us because he's doing it for his brothers. It's almost a direct parallel of Luci during the og!OM during the dance when he threatens us on the spot if he finds out we have bad intentions towards his brothers.

The other part of me thinks that he didn't help the brothers against ther father and that he took away Simeon's powers and I'm ready to fight him. Doesn't matter if Simeon said there was a reason for his decision. Come on. It better be a good one.

Then there's the passage you can see in the Nightmare Summoning board:

You may have changed

but I know a great river still flows and swells within you,

biding its time to swallow us both.

Which is unclear who's referring to. Can be the player or someone else, as far as we know. I want it to be the player.

Oh god Raphael baby I am so sorry for doubting you. Ever.

So Michael is going to come to RAD eventually. I can't say S2 because there's still the founding to be had and I dunno if they'll start classes on S2. We'll probably have lots of stuff to do to and hurdles to pass before we finish....... But. After so many years we're gonna see Michael.

Although he might just disguise himself as a different angel to avoid freaking everyone out...

LESSON 20 BABY

Season finale, I think, if the credits at the end are of any hint lol. I expected things to go down south but. Guess not yet.

Lesson 19 ended with quite a happy tune with the brothers up to celebrate their decision and lesson 20 starts with them already going up to Diavolo to give him their answer, all meanwhile reminscing about last night's party where apparently Mammon decided to just strip, lmao. They contemplate for a moment that Diavolo won't let them stay because the Devildom is his domain, after all, and they joke about going to the human realm instead so they don't get separated from Satan and crash in your place instead. Sweats very nervously in I can't have a place to stay because I'm centuries in the past hahaHAAAH.

Barb tells us to go get Diavolo because this man is already training to avoid his responsibilities for when he has to manage RAD. We got three choices: classroom, colosseum or the courtyard. I chose the courtyard and was blessed by Simeon. Apparently, if you go to the classroom you find Solomon, and Diavolo is on the colosseum.

We only have one choice when talking to them, though, and that is to ask them to be the brothers' allies. Which is no small feat. Simeon could be branded as a traitor for what he says here, but it seems he's fully committing to stay with the brothers this time should something go down. I appreciate it.

Asking Solomon can't go down well, considering he's on humanity's side and he's tried to get us to swear loyalty to humanity instead of the demon brothers, and Diavolo... well, he admits he can't deny us if we ask him like that, plus we know he has a soft spot for the brothers himself.

Lucifer tells both Diavolo and Raphael their decision, but they have to ask Diavolo for permission to stay, after all. It's his domain.

Oof.

But Diavolo is one soft demon, and yes, he says he has to look out for his subjects... which is exactly what he's doing. Lucifer and the others are part of the Devildom now, so they're under his protection, and he officially names them the Seven Rulers of the Devildom. Raphael says he kind of saw coming that the brothers would want to stay, and cue me squinting at the screen while remembering how he gave us Michael's message about convincing the brothers to return. C'mon man.

They ask for everyone else's thoughts, and they basically reply that it's none of ther business and they respect the brothers' choice. I found it heartwarming how even if deep down Luke still wants them to go back home, he respects their decision. They grow up so fast sob.

Next up there's gonna be a celebration, a ball, in fact, to celebrate the seven brothers' new appointments. We get moments divided in goups of three.

First up are Asmo, Beel and Luke, who are preparing for the ball. We get to choose who to help choosing a fragrance. I chose Luke because he's my son and I haven't had a moment with him in ages. Plus he has something to say about Raphael.

Apparently Raphael fled back. I did not like it, but in the end it was just me being paraoid lol. Ngl I was expecting Michael to send me a message about how he's gonna kick my ass.

Then comes the carriage. They're wearing the Devilday suits by the way, and look great. I love those suits lol, but anyways, here we can choose who rides with you in the carriage. We have Levi, Belphegor, and Barbatos. I chose Barb, who's aware of the glares he's getting and kisses your hand. This man loves riling everyone up and play innocent lol.

Sir.

A bit sad he's wearing the uniform, but eh...

So you get to the castle, all dressed up...

This absolute bitch.

Call him out Thirteen!! I love you!!

ANYWAYS.

In their brotherly fashion, during the ball they have a bit of a squabble over who has the first dance with you, because of course they do. In this lesson, we have fighting for your dance Mammon, Satan and Simeon.

I was expecting Lucifer to be there instead, not because I'm biased (I am though, not gonna deny it) but because it would be reminiscent of the og!obm dance where he threatens to end your existence if you are planning to use or hurt his brothers.

They were cruel to put me to choose between those three but in the end I chose Simeon, who decided to give me a bit of a stab of pain.

Man if only you knew about your present self who's lost his powers because he saved us haha....... ha........

After the dancing, Diavolo wants to give us a special title, recognizing the hard work we put for the brothers and the entire Devildom. I thought he was gonna give mc a cool title, but when he simply stated "you're now officially a Devilsitter" I lost it laughing.

He asks us to choose one lucky demon to award us the emblem commemorating our new title, and the last three choices are the Big Three: Lucifer, Diavolo and Solomon.

Well. I didn't hesitate. I feel a bit bad for Solomon, though...

This was really sweet, though! That the emblem or "mark on the brow" (it's the chapter title too! so it kinda hints at it already) is given with a kiss on the forehead. I think I woke my cat up with the cooing noise I made lol.

And there they go again, hahah...

But before it all ends, Diavolo goes all out, and not only does he makes an announcement about the founding of RAD, but also-

-that both Solomon and you are gonna join as exchange students.

Back all the way to the beginning baby!!

And with no Michael or threats or cliffhanger, lesson 20 is over and credits roll. End of Season 1, it seems!

I lied. After the credits we get this, because we can't catch a break.

Cool. Great. So the balance is getting worse. I'm gonna assume it's our fault for aiding the brothers here.

We might have avoided Michael this season but I fear he's gonna come for us eventually. Also, during a few seconds after seeing the post credits I thought Michael wanted to restore the balance,,, but then I switched mindsents and thought he actually didn't want to and would rather have the scales to tip in the Celestial Realm's favour instead by bringing the brothers back. I don't know. In any case, this is not the last we're going to hear from him. He's got us in his sights, and doesn't sound good at all.

The extra lesson is Luke catching up to Raphael before he leaves back to the Celestial Realm before the whole ball preparation event.

Sighs and crosses out "Michael wanted the brothers back to tip the scales". Okay. Fine. He might also miss them a little bit, but my man did not lift a finger to help them, so he can stay up there and rot for all I care.

This part of the convo was more interesting, though.

Luke comments he wants to help bridge the gap so the angels can be closer to their former brothers, which is admirable, but Raphael is more inclined towards giving that task and role to the humans while telling Luke to be a Principality instead and watch over them.

This is reminding me of when Simeon and Luke both said they'd be your guardian angels, and according to Mammon (and if I trust my memory), guardian angels choose one person only to guard all their life. I miss the present group. I hope we get to see them soon, at least a glimpse even if we don't go back right away. I bet they're frantic over mc missing still.....

I'd like to dig deeper over principalities because yes mythology but also I'm tired and with geographical principalities screwing my research combined with the little patience my sleepy brain has I just give up for now and will just go to sleep after this soft end for the 1st season. Dunno if we'll have something in 10 days. They certainly didn't say it was the end when the announced the lesson, so who knows? Maybe it's a mini break. Maybe not. We can only wait and see, but if they need a break to write more story at a better pace, I'm all in.

I still have to catch up with the hard mode for those extra scenes and lore, but this is all there is for now regarding main story!

It's time for LESSON 13!! AAAAAAAAAA

A bit of calm before another storm that's coming our way, but that's just another day in the life of MC I suppose lmao. I appreciate the break though, the last lessons were ruthless.

Lesson 12 feels!

The first thing they do is grab the theory going around of Michael being Nightbringer and unceremoniously slam dunk it into the trash can right in front of us.

Well. Screw you too.

Well, at least now we know Michael also knows about the time travel thing. Which is good to have confirmed. I don't want to say where the Celestial Realm can stick their tolerance, though. I still don't like them lol

Anyways the brothers are relieved and happy (even Belphie!! We still need to talk tho) we're awake and we get to say good morning to all of them. I found it incredibly sweet. They have many questions, but they decide to let us rest. Solomon asks us where we decide to stay: Cocytus Hall or in the guest room in the House of Lamentation.

I chose to stay in our old room. I assume if you go to Cocytus Hall you have a moment with Solomon, but I haven't chosen that one yet. If you stay in the House of Lamentation though, they'll squeeze your heart being adorable because every fucker in this house has camped out and is sleeping outside our room.

This is the cutest shit I've ever seen. I love all of them oh my god.

But we can't run away from the questions forever and the next day we meet up with Diavolo because it's our Questioning Day. We get a sweet moment first though where we learn that the previous night we somehow carried all the brothers into our room lmfao.

My important take from this is that Satan let us drag him into our room without kicking up a fuss and even pretended he was still asleep. I love him.

During the questions I was sweating bullets because Solomon did warn us that we shouldn't say we're from the future. They do give us an option to tell it though, but I decided to dodge that bullet in particular and instead be honest about the Ring of Light instead of keeping quiet. We're still pretty vague answering, but it's better than nothing. I have a feeling they'd think we're making fun of them if we say we're from the future anyways.

Diavolo's main concern is if we're even safe for the Devildom (holy shit), but the brothers try to persuade him by comparing our situation to theirs when Diavolo let them into the Devildom. However, as we know, the price to stay in the Devildom wasn't a cheap one and he calls Lucifer out for bringing it up.

None of the brothers know more beyond of Lucifer pledging loyalty to Diavolo so they drop the issue here. I have hope that maybe in this timeline they will find out about everything Lucifer gave up in order to keep Lilith and his brothers safe. Shit will go down, obviously, but it's a hurdle they have to jump through o(-<

Barbatos asks for a break since things are getting heated up. Diavolo takes his leave to calm down, and we're given the option to follow him immediately or take a little walk. I chose to take a walk and got points with Barb, so I thought we were going to leave Diavolo breathe in peace, but we end up catching up with Diavolo anyways lol

Diavolo feels bad we're worried about him and yet he's trying to give us the boot from the Devildom. This man is so conflicted and needs a break (so do we but, rip), and then someone I wasn't expecting decides to pop in after Barbatos:

MEPHISTO!!

Of course lmao PLEASE GIVE THEM CASUAL CLOTHES OR A DIFFERENT FORM SOLMARE P L E A S E

We learn a little more about the House of Lords in the Devildom, who are very unhappy about Beelzebub's rampage on the Demon Lord's Castle (oh man and we still haven't solved the why of Beel going berserk either.....) and are outright asking for his banishment, according to Mephisto. Then he decides to be an ass and talk bad about the brothers, but Diavolo politely cuts him off and walks away before Mephisto can finish lol.

We get a short one-on-one with Mephisto, who thinks we're a lesser demon and I've never once in my life since I met him have wanted to grab his cane and hit him over the head with it, but there's a first time for everything and my first time was in this Lesson.

So that's how it is huh

So once again our "verdict" gets postponed (I have a feeling it's gonna be a running thing for a bit) because of the House of Lords' demands, which apparently are worse than Mephisto let on. They basically say Beelzebub's rampage equals a declaration of war and are holding Diavolo accountable. Diavolo must go through a set of trials that test his ability to rule (and if he refuses apparently he gives up the claim to the throne, so it's a Big Thing), and if we know how Obey Me! works, we know we're gonna be the ones helping him out and that's probably how we'll win points in our favour to stay here. And that's if it doesn't end up being the whole reason for Diavolo to say "they're styaing here, and that's the end of it" since we basically help him keep his claim as future Demon King with that and that's a show of loyalty if I've ever seen any lol

However he needs his father to tell him about the trials, as it's some sort of tradition they pass down from ruler to the next one to be, but we know the King is indisposed. So does the House of Lords, so this demand is one hell of a low blow to Diavolo, but he plans on going all out on it anyways.

And as soon as he says this, the trial starts. Literally. Diavolo gets teleported away in a flash of light and there's that.

I called it lol.

It looks like it's Diavolo bonding time. He's nervous but keeping a front, and we can call him out on it, and also either take his hand, give him a pat or my favourite option in this game: give him a hug.

He calls us out again, just like both him and Barbatos did in the classroom, about how we're trying to help and being nice to them despite Diavolo trying to get us out of the Devildom. You can tell he's struggling about the whole thing. I think he wants to trust us, but we're too powerful and if we decided to turn against the Devildom, there would be big trouble. He says the possibility of us turning himself, and seeing how Lesson 11 went.......... well, it's obvious we don't want to turn against anyone. But they need a bit more of strong convincing.

The lesson ends with poor Diavolo asking why are we showing any kindness towards him or caring at all. I found it a bit sad for him, honestly. Looks like Lesson 14 will be going through the Kingsblood Crucible with Diavolo, and maybe persuade him we'd never turn against them.

The extra lesson is hilarious. I thought it was gonna be about the brothers and Barbatos after Diavolo and MC got magically whisked away for the trial, but it's instead Mephisto looking for Diavolo to give him the House of Lords' letter and running into the brothers, who are debating about what MC truly wants and if we feel obligated to stay with them after all. I wanted to give them an earful lol

They get into a fight because they get tired quickly of Mephisto provoking them, obviously. I loved the shit out of it, because he started bothering Lucifer about how he's "showing off" his wings and the brothers jumped to defend Lucifer instantly in their own way lol

Yet another point in the "Mammon adores his older brother Lucifer over everything else". Everyone else too, but for me Mammon here dealt the strongest blow to Mephisto so he'd fuck off and leave them and Lucifer alone. Which he does after Barbatos appears to escort him away lol

That extra scene was really nice. Feels good to finish a Lesson with no strong cliffhanger, but I'm very curious about the trial, and maybe Diavolo will tell us a bit more about the Demon King. He tells us a bit in the Lesson, but it's just that he got mad at Diavolo when he tried to get the God of War's sword (who's entombed in the Mausoleum where MC is with Diavolo atm) when he was smaller. So far he seems to speak fondly of his dad, unless I'm forgetting any more details they have in the og story.

Well, there's that. Most important thing I took from here is that Michael is not Nightbringer, unless he's playing with us for some reason, but I can't think of why he'd do that. He seems to still care a bit about his brothers, and he's saved us twice and keeps an eye on us. I side-eye this guy a lot, but if his caring about his brothers is genuine I suppose I can just. Leave him be and just let him watch.

I'm still not over his quote in the new Nightmare Grimoire. There's more to him with us, but Solmare won't give us Michael crumbs yet. I hope they release his design soon because I'm DYING to see him and he's getting more and more involved with the story aaaaaaAAAA please give him long hair.

I still have to get hard mode, but I'm saving AP to try and get the costumes in Box 3... And my rng is terrible. I don't wanna use 240 hard-won points to buy Luci's and Satan's clothes, I'd rather save them for the level up offers, but I will if I'm unlucky in the boxes I guess o(-< well, good luck with your own boxes if you're hunting for them as well!
