Once reunited, the Rebels team up with a tribe of Ewoks to combat the Imperial forces on the forest moon of Endor. Meanwhile the Emperor (Carter Pewterschmidt) and Darth Vader (Stewie) conspire to turn Luke to the dark side, and young Skywalker is determined to rekindle the spirit of the Jedi within his father. The Galactic Civil War has never been more outrageous, as the Rebel forces gather to attack the seemingly defenseless and incomplete second Death Star in the battle that will determine the fate of the galaxy.” ‑ Manu Gino

A-T-3 278 Elite Records
Round up of singles from Andy Sojka's Elite and Challenge labels. All tracks were written and produced by Andy Sojka & Richard de Jongh with the exception of Strike One
Beverley Skeete - If The Feeling Is Right
Beverley Skeete had sang on the US version of Xtra Special by Atmosphere but I believe If The Feeling Is Right is her debut solo single for the label. It was reissued by Mr. Bongo last year with the incredible 1985 track Warm on the a-side https://mrbongo.bandcamp.com/album/warm-if-the-feeling-is-right
youtube
Strike One - Can't Touch Me Anymore
Written by studio stalwart Toby Baker and the mysterious S. Henry, with vocals by Sabiha Kara. Can't Touch Me Anymore was also released in the Netherlands in 1983 and rereleased remixed in 1985. Then a few years ago it was reissued in the Netherlands again with a second 12 of remixes https://bordelloaparigi.com/shop/vinyl/strike-one-cant-touch-me-anymore-12/. Boogie Back reissued it in the UK this year with a previously unreleased track Chicago Sunrise https://www.musicglue.com/boogiebackrecordsuk/
youtube
Strike One - Chicago Sunrise
youtube
There's also the dub/instrumental on the original Elite release, Can't Mix Me Anymore
Atmosphere - What We Do
Elite was originally created to press and distribute Atmosphere's music. Bassist Lester Batchelor left the band after their previous single Xtra Special and this triggered a complete change of line-up. The bassline and percussion is lifted from Lonnie Liston Smith's 1975 jazz-funk favourite Expansions, and the drums are reminiscent of Beat The Street by Sharon Redd which Sojka and de Jongh seemed to have been obsessed with at the time. Mancuso used to play it at the Loft
youtube
Contact-U was Andy Sojka & Richard de Jongh's electro off-shoot. Freestyle packaged all three Contact-U 12s with an unreleased track Inside You last year. Two of the three 12s were released in 1983
Ecuador
youtube
Dancing In Inner Space - a reference to Atmosphere's biggest hit Dancing In Outer Space. I've always found it a bit disappointing so I think I might leave it out. If you don't know it and you're curious it's piss easy to track down

Grace Jones | Joss Stone in Stuttgart - 22.07.2023
Tumblr media
Man sollte Samara Joy also auf keine Fall verpassen. Support: Samara Joy Einlass: 16:00 Uhr Beginn: 18:00 Uhr Tickets für Grace Jones | Joss Stone

PORTRAITS IN UK82 -- WELCOME TO 1984.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on guitarist Damian Thompson (later co-founder of SACRILEGE UK), recording what amounted to three tracks at Rich Bitch Studios in Birmingham, UK, for the "We Don't Need Nuclear Force" comp LP, later released by the German label Mülleimer Records in 1984. 📸: Kalle Stietzel.
VOICES FROM THE DARKSIDE: "Why did Damian leave THE VARUKERS in 1984 to form SACRILEGE? Did they have musical or personal differences?"
ANDY BAKER: "I was very good friends with Damian for many years BEFOREe we joined the Varukers. We did a short European tour in 1984 which was a bit of a disaster for many reasons, by this time he was in a relationship with Lynda (Tam) who came to Europe with us on tour and I think that Damian wanted to try something new away from the Varukers and announced that he was leaving the band just after we got home from Europe along with Tony May, who was the bass player in the Varukers at this point. He never really said why and I’m sure he had many reasons for his actions."
TONY MAY: "No musical differences, Damian left THE VARUKERS in 1984, basically after I told him I was leaving the band, after an exhausting European Tour with the MAU MAUS (great band!). We discussed it on the ferry home from Holland and decided we would form our own band. Tam was also with us on that tour, so, as she had sung for INNOCENT VICTIMS, we asked her to join us. I actually played on the following VARUKERS songs: "Stop The Killing," "No Hope Of A Future," "Bomblast" – 23.4 84. "Blood Money," "We Have The Right," "Seek & Destroy" – 25.7.84 which are included on the "We Need No Nuclear Force" compilation LP and lastly "Live in Holland" album 84."

Buck Wild: Legend of the Lost World is an American computer-animated adventure comedy-drama film produced by 20th Century Animation and distributed by 20th Century Studios. The film is a spin-off/prequel, the second installment in the trilogy of Buck Wild films after The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022), and the eighth installment overall in the Ice Age franchise. It is directed by Donnie Long, who also directed Ice Age: Scrat Tales, written by Michael Berg, Yoni Brenner and Edgar Wright, and produced by John C. Donkin. The music for the film was composed by James Newton Howard.
In the film’s ensemble voice cast, Simon Pegg and Justina Machado reprise their respective roles as the titular character and Zee, while they are joined by Nick Frost and Andy Serkis, who voices new characters introduced in this film.
The film’s plot follows the origin story of Buck Wild on his adventures in the Lost World years before the events of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Accompanied by his ambitious recruits Zee, his grandfather Lloyd, and his brother Ray, they must learn to work together as a team to escape the rouge albino Baryonyx Rudy, who’s planning to hunt down Buck, while going through dangerous obstacles and encountering vicious dinosaurs as they embark on their toughest mission yet.
The computer animation for the film was provided by DNEG, who had also provided animation for 2021’s Ron’s Gone Wrong and 2023’s Nimona.
Originally planned to be a sequel to The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, it was later scrapped in favour of a spin-off prequel that mainly focuses on Buck, due to the film’s poor critical reception and audience viewership and how it lacked the primary focus on the titular character.
The film was released on the Disney+ streaming service and received positive reviews from critics and audiences, with Rotten Tomatoes calling it “an Ice Age spin-off centered on Buck done right”. Many praised the animation, Pegg and Machado’s performance, action sequences, and musical score, and deemed it a significant improvement over the 2022 film.
Cast
Simon Pegg as Buck “Buckminster” Wild, a one-eyed fearless weasel who is daring, adventurous and a little eccentric.
Justina Machado as Zee, a sarcastic yet compassionate zorilla who is Buck’s love interest.
Nick Frost as Ray “Raymond” Wild, a dimwitted yet optimistic weasel who is Buck’s brother. He previously voiced Flynn in Ice Age: Continental Drift.
Andy Serkis as Lloyd Wild, an elderly cranky yet goodhearted weasel who is Buck's grandfather.
Eric Bana as Buck's father who is killed by Rudy.
Karen Disher as Buck's mother who is killed by Rudy.
Frank Welker as Momma, a female Tyrannosaurus, and Rudy, a rouge albino Baryonyx.
Dee Bradley Baker as Poppa, a Tyrannosaurus and Momma’s husband, and Juniper, a Compsognathus and Zee’s canine companion.

Being the first film to win three top prizes at Cannes (Film, Director and Actor) couldn’t prevent Barton Fink from flopping when it finally opened stateside. Nevertheless, this remains one of the most fascinating pictures on the Coen Brothers ledger, with Joel and Ethan serving up a compelling seriocomedy that yields added pleasures with every repeat viewing. John Turturro stars as the title character, a self-absorbed New York playwright who ends up in Hollywood to write a Wallace Beery wrestling picture for a “B” studio r
ack of a whale. Pai displays all the characteristics that would enable her to one day become the village leader, but because she’s female, her tradition-minded grandfather (Rawiri Paratene) dismisses her from consideration, showing controlled love for her as his flesh and blood but lashing out whenever she attempts to step outside what he perceives as her lot in life. Adapted from Witi Ihimaera’s 1986 novel by writer-director Niki Caro (who earlier this year helmed the fine WWII drama The Zookeeper’s Wife), Whale Rider is above all a moving story about a young girl’s efforts to not only find her place in the world but also receive the deserving respect of a patriarch whose own stubbornness blackens an otherwise noble spirit. As Pai, Castle-Hughes delivers a clear-headed performance that, like the film which embraces it, never succumbs to cloying sentiment but instead finds heartbreak and hope in a naturalistic manner. Blu-ray extras include audio commentary by Caro; a behind-the-scenes featurette; and deleted scenes.
Movie: ★★★
FROM SCREEN TO STREAM (Recommended films currently available on streaming services) 13 GOING ON 30 (2004). Kicking off in 1987, this charming comedy centers around 13-year-old Jenna Rink, an awkward girl whose only desire is to be “thirty, flirty and thriving.” She magically gets her wish granted, waking up in 2004 at the age of 30 and not remembering anything that has transpired over the course of the last 17 years. For emotional support, she tracks down her best friend from childhood, now a freelance photographer (Mark Ruffalo), but as she begins to piece together her teenage and adult years, she realizes that she doesn’t like the person she’s become. Jennifer Garner is delightful as the grownup Jenna — she possesses the flair and instincts of a screwball comedienne, and it’s a shame movies haven’t been utilizing her more — and if her performance ultimately isn’t quite as moving as Tom Hanks’ in the thematically similar Big, that might be because the script by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa (the husband-and-wife team behind What Women Want) doesn’t delve as deeply into the dark side of being a child trapped inside an adult’s body.  ★★★ Watch free movies and tvshows on VidooTv

un by a dictatorial blowhard (a funny Michael Lerner). Staying at a ramshackle hotel (cue Steve Buscemi as chatty Chet the bellboy), Barton ends up suffering from a paralyzing case of writer’s block. He also ends up befriending both a traveling salesman (an amazing John Goodman) and a Faulkner-like writer (John Mahoney), only to find his life soon turning into a surreal nightmare. A complete original, Barton Fink is edgy, innovative, and often ambiguous in its intentions. Although Roger Deakins’ exceptional cinematography won awards from all three major critics’ groups (NY, LA, National Society), the Academy elected to ignore it completely. The movie did pick up a trio of Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actor (Lerner), Best Art Direction-Set Decoration (Dennis Gassner and Nancy Haigh, who won for their other 1991 feature, Bugsy), and Best Costume Design.Blu-ray extras include interviews with Turturro and Lerner; deleted scenes; and the theatrical trailer.Movie: ★★★½8 HEADS IN A DUFFEL BAG (1997). With 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, Joe Pesci seems to have been inspired by the monologue delivered by his character Tommy DeVito in 1990’s GoodFellas. “I’m funny how? I amuse you? I make you laugh; I’m here to fuckin’ amuse you? How
Blu-ray extras consist of the theatrical trailer and an isolated music track. Movie: ★★ GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (2017). As expected, the entire gang from the 2014 smash is back, with Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) enjoying their newfound status as celestial celebrities. But after ticking off the members of a powerful race, the heroes-for-hire find themselves on the run, with Gamora’s sister Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Quill’s mentor Yondu (Michael Rooker) forced to join the motley crew along the way. Half of the gang end up on a planet alongside Peter’s long-lost father Ego (Kurt Russell) and his servant Mantis (Pom Klementieff); the others find themselves held prisoner after a mutiny by Yondu’s Ravagers. The jokey demeanor that informed the first picture remains, even if writer-director James Gunn forces too many gags. And as is the case with many superhero sagas, this one doesn’t know when to quit, with a generous 136-minute running time mostly felt during the CGI-choked finale. But the freshness of the characters remains intact, and the actors continue to interact in a manner that supports the story’s narrative spine involving the notion that family – no matter how one defines it – always comes first (in this respect, the series has much in common with Diesel’s other, similarly fast and furious franchise). Gunn’s scripting and Gillan’s performance bring unexpected poignancy to the part of Nebula, while Rooker’s excellent turn allows Yondu to emerge as the most unexpectedly complex character in the story. Blu-ray extras include audio commentary by Gunn; a four-part making-of featurette; deleted scenes; a gag reel; and a “Guardians Inferno” music video featuring David Hasselhoff. Movie: ★★★ KID GALAHAD (1962). What do Woody Allen and Elvis Presley have in common? Both have been treated right by the Twilight Time label, which has seen fit to release many of these artists’ best films on Blu-ray. While Allen fans have been offered such gems as The Purple Rose of Cairo, Zelig and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex * (* But Were Afraid to Ask), devotees of The King have been able to enjoy Flaming Star and Follow That Dream, two of the grandly entertaining pictures he made before his vehicles became too beholden to rigid formula and too affected by spiraling quality control. Now joining the pair is Kid Galahad, which originally hit theaters four months after Follow That Dream, thus providing audiences with an irresistible one-two punch. The boxing terminology is apt, since this one finds Elvis playing Walter Gulick, a young pugilist whose gallantry toward women earns him the nickname Kid Galahad. With his easygoing demeanor and warbling of several catchy tunes, Presley could effortlessly carry this picture himself, but that’s actually not required thanks to the efforts of an excellent supporting cast: Gig Young as Galahad’s unscrupulous manager, Charles Bronson as his trainer, Joan Blackman as his love interest, and Lola Albright (who passed away this past March at the age of 92) as Young’s perpetually patient paramour. Incidentally, Kid Galahad is a remake of a same-named 1937 film starring Edward G. Robinson, Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart and (as the title boxer) Wayne Morris. When will Warner Bros. finally bring that version to Blu-ray? Blu-ray extras consist of the theatrical trailer and an isolated music track. Movie: ★★★ WHALE RIDER (2003). Currently appearing in supporting stints on two television shows (Game of Thrones and Manhunt: Unabomber), Keisha Castle-Hughes deservedly earned a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for her startling film debut in the New Zealand hit Whale Rider. Castle-Hughes stars as Pai, a 12-year-old girl who had survived a difficult birth that killed her mother and twin brother. Pai is a descendant of Paikea, who, as the legend goes, first arrived in what would become this Maori clan’s village riding on the b
am I funny?” Pesci’s 8 Heads character, a gangster also named Tommy, is basically the comedic version of his Oscar-winning part in the Scorsese classic — this Tommy similarly has no problem hurting people, but he’s more likely to fret and fume and partake in exaggerated fits of exasperation. Tasked with delivering a bag crammed with human heads in order to prove that a mob hit has been carried out, he ends up in a dire predicament when a college kid named Charlie (Andy Comeau) accidentally grabs his luggage and carts it off to Mexico, thinking it contains his clothing. Charlie is naturally horrified when he unpacks the noggins, while Tommy just wants them back — this leads to whirlwind developments involving Charlie’s roommates (David Spade and Todd Louiso), his girlfriend (Kristy Swanson), and her disapproving parents (George Hamilton and Dyan Cannon). A frantic pace is no match for a scarcity of laughs, and while Pesci is consistently amusing, he receives little assistance from anyone else. Spade and Louiso have their moments but wear out their welcome; Comeau and Swanson are too vanilla for this sort of madcap romp; and Hamilton and Cannon are left adrift under the guidance of writer-director Tom Schulman.

[FEMALE, SHE/HER]. Hey, is that [KERI RUSSELL], no that is just [ANDIE BAKER TURNER] around Baberton. I heard they are [48] years old, and their birthday is [MARCH 20TH] and they’re [HETEROSEXUAL]. They can mainly be found working as [UNEMPLOYED] and they have been in town [TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS]. Some say they are [CAREFUL, FRIENDLY, LOYAL] and can be [ANXIOUS, FLIGHTY, SELF DEPRECATING]. If you see them around town, clearly they have survived or maybe they are just barely surviving. Either way, Baberton welcomes you! Enjoy your stay.
Bio:
After getting married to Liam and having baby Betty, Andie’s life was pretty good. She loved her little family and when Ella was outed as -A and everything was over, it got even better.
She eventually quit her job at the supermarket and stopped volunteering at the memorial centre because she wanted to focus on different things.
Kind of made some sort of amends with her father, who actually doted on baby Betty and Andie was kind of grateful. Though still tense at times.
Andie and Liam had another baby, a son, and she’s been a stay at home mum.
Liam bought Brioche and Andie helps out with a shift or two here and there when he’s busy with his dance studio or something.
Secrets:
Sometimes finds herself jealous about Evie and Emma’s bond. She often feels left out and isn’t sure why considering she was Evie’s sister first - which she knows is an immature way of thinking and she does her best not to think and feel that way but it’s hard.
