Dear Palistine.
We failed you. Im so sorry to every Palistinian in the world going through these truamatic events. Im sorry the erasure of your culture and land. Im sorry for the pain and death and torment and losses every Palistinian has gone through. Im sorry to the people with family members in Gaza. Im sorry to the kids left without parents, without family members, without limbs, and without lives. I’m sorry that we have turned a blind eye to everything that has happened and I’m sorry for the corrupt governments and world that allows this amount of death and misery to happen.
I’m sorry to the little 6-year old boy who tried to commit suicide because he had no home and no family to live on with. I’m sorry to Hind Rajab, who had to sit in a car of her family’s rotting corpses for weeks and was shot dead when help came. I’m sorry to Sidra Hassouna, the cheerful young girl who was found hanging from a building with her lower half blown off. I’m sorry to Bisan and Motaz and every single journalist for having to persist through this tragedy. And I’m sorry to the ones that didn’t persist to the end.
Even if a ceasefire did happen, the damage is done. There is blood on our hands.
Sincerely,
elysse (11 yrs)
