daily reminder that zhongli is canonically genderqueer, having appeared multiple times in the past as a woman, including his own vague confirmation that this is the case. i have receipts too.

and before someone comes at me with "the dialogue and lore are too vague about it" i must remind you all that the game is restricted by chinese censorship laws & zhongli acts coy about EVERY aspect of rex lapis' story, because at first he's trying to hide his identity and he also just likes messing with people. if we can believe his vague "legends say..." about every other thing about rex lapis, we have to give the same consideration to his dialogue about rex lapis appearing as a woman... yknow what i mean.

you don't have to headcanon zhongli as trans. most people don't, even the simps who are nerds about his lore. but you gotta acknowledge that the evidence is There.

(my personal headcanon is bigender, firstly because im projecting, and secondly because he must be comfortable with either form for long periods of time. in my hc he leans more toward male, which is why he presents that way most of the time, and he uses pronouns respective to whatever form he is taking like she/her in a female form, i don't personally hc him as being nonbinary/etc but im not gonna exclude it either. projecting my own gender onto my comfort character ✨✨✨)
