Hi! Hope you’re safe. I was wondering, what’s your favourite story arc for Tim in the comics (from his solo or the main bat-fam series)? Have a great day!
Hello! I’m doing okay at the moment, besides personal stuff really. But it’s not even really my problems, just--ya know, stuff.
But, I think honestly my favorite story arc is still his first miniseries, because I view it as such a classic in my heart. The characterization, story, character writing, development, little character moments, are just so packed together that it’s such a nice run. Besides that panel were Lady Shiva made a sex joke to a little kid in his tighty whities, because that panel still haunts me every time I read the series. But if you just take a marker and scribble over that it’s a wonderful mini. Dixon just has some ... really bad taste sometimes.
Like Tim’s had other good arcs. Like the first arc of his ongoing is pretty good. Both of his other minis have great character stories to them. When Tim thought he wasn’t good enough so match, he more or less ran from home and back to France to finish his training. No Man’s Land where he was so dedicated to keep being Robin but made his dad worried sick in the process and the government had to fetch him all sprang to mind right away.
Even just his more light hearted stories just solving a crime against the DC version of Barney the Dinosaur cause Tim seemingly has an obsession or at least had one to know a bunch of information like it was his dang hyperfixation at one point. Or when he took on Toy man.
They’re very kiddy, but well, look at Tim, look at that face, he’s a little boy. Also a teenager, but a little teen basically. He’s going to have some kiddy stories in them, but they’re oddly complex in little ways that still make them really fun to read.
Another story being when Killer Moth turned into an actual Killer Moth was freaking disturbing but good.
He had a lot of great stories. He didn’t really do long arcs that much. So it’s mainly little short ones, but they’re just good and too the point with great character work.
Mostly anyways. His romances really sucked. I don’t think Dixon knows how romances always work.
