“Horrified by the Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital. Hundreds are dead in the single most brutal attack on Gaza. This massacre is a war crime, an affront to humanity, and a stain on the world's conscience. There is NO justification for this. Our prayers are with the victims and their families. May God grant them the peace they so deserve.” — Queen Rania of Jordan on 17 October 2023
“Where is the self-defense in targeting children, civilians, and medical staff? This is a war crime! Unspeakable horror..Silence is unacceptable.. and the entire world has to speak up. The western world can no longer claim morality if they continue with these double standards. Israel is responsible for this massacre and must be held accountable.” — Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan
Gaza authorities said an Israeli air strike on Tuesday killed about 500 people at a hospital in the Palestinian enclave, but Israel said a Palestinian rocket had caused the blast. The death toll was by far the highest of any single incident in Gaza during the current violence, triggering protests in the occupied West Bank, Istanbul and Amman.
Reacting to this, Jordan called off the U.S. president’s planned summit with Arab leaders. The postponement of the Amman summit comes after Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas withdrew from the scheduled meetings in protest of the attacks, which the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza blamed on an Israeli airstrike. “This war and this aggression are pushing the region to the brink,” Ayman Safadi, Jordan’s foreign minister, told al-Mamlaka TV, a state-run network. He said Jordan would only host the summit when all participants agreed on its purpose, which would be to “stop the war, respect the humanity of the Palestinians, and deliver the aid they deserve.”

The last two weeks have blurred together and yesterday I was watching a video that was being reposted on twitter and it was a British news investigation from 1980s about Israel's "break their bones" policy during the first uprising. And they were filming in Gaza because that's where the first uprising began and they were filming the hospital of mostly men and youth with extraordinary injuries from the beatings and they interviewed a doctor and the video captioned of course his name, a foreign doctor, and the name of the hospital. The name? Al-Ahli hospital. And idk exactly why but that shattered me. That same hospital where 500 gazans were murdered a few days ago and where I had to see videos of a father carry the limbs of his children in shopping bags. That same hospital saw the victims of the first uprising decades ago and now this uprising.
Israel is being accused of genocide and simultaneously the genocide denial begins. Zionists are saying well the deaths cannot be accurate because the healthy ministry is run by hamas. The most densely populated land region on earth is being bombed and entire neighborhoods are being eviscerated and we are watching it on social media. And it is denied. Genocide denial is so cruel it was cruel now and then. Before October 7, nearly every single day of this year I received news of a palestinian youth being murdered by IOF or israeli settlers. And now I receive news of the death of hundreds in mere hours. And still I hear the denial and the zionist resentment about "how the world wants israelis dead."
I can't stop seeing the images nor do I want to stop seeing it. In the past I could deal with zionist rhetoric but on a world stage all their myths are being thrown in our faces and palestinians are again and again forced to explain in detail with sources why that is inaccurate and harmful and why we in fact do exist and why Israel can never claim self defense and why palestinian liberation is the only moral position to take
I believe that palestine will be freed. I know that it'll take extraordinary violence to make israel bend. But to see what happens when palestinians do only a fraction of violence in return makes me terrified of the future. How many palestinians will continue to die before the last revolt frees us. Will my family even survive that. It just dawned on me that my grandparents were not just survivors of ethnic cleansing but genocide. That my grandparents have lived their whole lives with the zionist threat and there are elderly gazans who have lived in a carceral state of being their whole lives who have witnessed uprising after uprising and survived and now are losing their homes once again, losing their children and grandchildren. Most gazans are descendants of refugees and they are in tents again. Gazan families who are descendants of the Nakba, the first attempted genocide, have ceased to exist
I cannot comprehend it and amidst it all I am forced to read the discourse and to assuage people that I do see the antisemitic opportunists and no I don't condone what they say. And meanwhile I am feeling the affects of survivors guilt and the guilt of feeling survivors guilt. It is paralyzing and i am not mentally well watching the annihilation of my people on a level of violence i have only read about in the Nakba. When I was a child I used to think if the Nakba was broadcasted on TV it would have been stopped but that was never true that was such a stupid fantasy.

There is a difference between supporting a terrorist organization and a country defending itself after a brutal act of war. Yes, things were tense, but hamas has clearly made it his purpose to take Israel and kill all Jews. If you keep supporting hamas at this point, you are antisemitic, no questionability.
CBC has decided to not keep what little journalistic integrity they still have and won't call the act of terrorism what it is without quotes now. It's "poltical" now to call a terrorist attack what it is. This TERROIST ATTACK, killed 2000 people after a major holiday, in the middle of the night men, women, children, babies, newborns... Citizens jumping out of their beds, turning back into soldier, dying to save their neighbours. Yet, a conflict that happened in India was called a "...horrible act of terroism..." without any quotes. Here's some proof of how little journalism is actual unbiased. Source. . Source TV fails us all. https://torontosun-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/cbcs-arguments-for-not-calling-hamas-a-terror-group-are-weak/wcm/afde9ee1-3ac6-4243-b104-9f949a9bf181/amp/?amp_gsa=1&amp_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQIUAKwASCAAgM%3D#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=16981252683198&csi=1&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Ftorontosun.com%2Fopinion%2Fcolumnists%2Fcbcs-arguments-for-not-calling-hamas-a-terror-group-are-weak

Israel did NOT blow up the hospital in Gaza. It has been confirmed by BOTH SIDES. There was a ton of footage maintained from the general that shows Israeli soldiers trying to save what lives they could, as they also died in the explosion. It was again, hamas the TERROIST! TO HIS OWN PEOPLE WHAT A SUPRISE?!
Here is an article on that: https://www.wired.com/story/al-ahli-baptist-hospital-explosion-disinformation-osint/
Many times my people and Israel have been tried to be wiped out. We survived almost the entire Roman Empire, and were a thorn in Rome's side. After many failed attempts, Israel was taken by Titus who went out of his way to make all forces hit Israel. Then Titus gave it the name philistines (which means weak/weakness, while Israel means Lion).
Israel was an established country for 40 years before, without their consent, and to give up land the same people we gave asylm to in the 1920's, and now want to actively destroy you? Did deeper than the first fucking google article dumbasses, or past TV which has been an unreliable source more and more for decades.
There is no history of a palistine before it became a state in 1988. Before that they lived in Syria, Jordan and Egypt. You want some history, okay, just for proof here it if FROM THE UNITED NATIONS (UN):
Israel has belonged to Jewish people since Torah. A book that predates both religions that seem to side to destroy Jews. Both have an active agenda. To get rid of us and our land.
Israeli Soldiers are taught to try to preserve all life, but protect innocent no matter the side.
Hamas does not care about his citizens, they are starving, thirsty, and sick. If he thought about them why did he not make sure he would be able to have infrastructure to make sure his people could eat, drink, have power, medical supplies, fossil fuels? He didn't think about them, he never does, and never has. His goal is to destroy Israel and kill every single Jew.
We are people too, us Jews, Israelis. Why are we always evil for wanting to exist and wanting what should belong to us?
People tell me I "don't know the history of the area". I do. I know a lot more than 99% of people who asked. I could talk for hours about both sides history (most of it Israeli because it was our G-d given, ancestral birthright).
Do you not think we want and deserve a place to go that isn't dominated by the three top biggest religions in the world, ours not even being close to those. (Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism)
I know way more than this but I'm tired of your antisemitism USA especially. And shame on you for not seeing this clearly.
Britian, it's illegal to protest for hamas in the streets, as it should be everywhere.
It's funny it went from Islamaphobia from 2001 to Oct. 2023 to antisemitism and wanted genocide real quick. You do realize this is the ONLY PLACE FOR JEWISH PEOPLE! We want what is rightfully ours!
Tumblr media
With all that said I do not like war, I despise innocent people dying for just where they live. I want peace in the land, and everyone that lives there.
Am Yisrael Chai!
May Hashem bring peace to the land and ALL who dwell there. Strengthen the hands.of our Holy defenders and May the crown of victory be place upon them.
-(paraphrased) Avianu Shebashamim

amas is the best spokesman for Israel. The most gruesome footage of the atrocities of October 7 comes from the body cameras worn by the invading savages. Unlike the Nazis yemach shemam, notes the estimable Douglas Murray, the Hamas murderers were not even ashamed of their lack of any flicker of humanity.
Next Ghazi Hamad, a senior member of Hamas’s political bureau, proclaimed on Lebanese TV that Hamas’s attacks on October 7 were just the first of many to come, and that the Gaza-Israeli border would be one of continual warfare. “Israel is a country that has no place in our land. We must remove it because it constitutes a security, military, and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation,” he explained. In short, Israel must be destroyed.
There is no reason to doubt Hamad’s sincerity on this point. He is simply repeating what is already explicit in Hamas’s charter. Thus Israel has no choice but to destroy Hamas. Indeed Israel may be obligated to do so under the anti-genocide conventions, in light of Hamas’s expressed genocidal intent towards the Jews of Israel.
Israel’s entry into Gaza has nothing to do with exacting revenge. It is an act of self-defense, pure and simple. True, the bloodthirsty mobs on campuses and in major metropolitan areas worldwide bellow that Israel is a colonialist intruder in the Middle East, and lacks any right to exist. But they can hardly expect Israel to acquiesce in that judgment and agree to its own disappearance. Point one.
Point two: Destroying Hamas requires destroying its vast network of underground tunnels, which rival the London underground in length, and eliminating its entire military command and infrastructure.
Point three: Because Hamas locates all its military assets in or under civilian areas — hospitals, schools, mosques, and apartment buildings — that destruction will inevitably result in the deaths of civilians. Of course, we will never know how many, as figures reported by the Hamas Health Ministry lack all credibility. That same Health Ministry claimed 500 dead from a bomb on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital — a claim dutifully reported by the international press. The actual number was 50 or less, and from an errant Islamic Jihad rocket to boot.
Similarly, in Operation Defensive Shield in 2002, Palestinians claimed that Israeli forces killed 5,000 Palestinians, and UN Special Middle East Envoy Terje Roed-Larsen and Philip Reeves of the Independent buttressed those claims with descriptions of the smell of death so pervasive one could simply not stand in Jenin. The actual number of Palestinian deaths, however, was 56, of which almost all were Palestinian fighters.
However many or few Gazan civilians have died or will die in the current fighting, all their deaths are attributed to Hamas under international law as a result of Hamas’s refusal to observe the rule of distinction, which requires it to separate military infrastructure from civilians.
Hamas courts those civilian deaths. Every civilian killed is a “martyr” in its view, and as Hamad put it, “we are proud to sacrifice our martyrs.” Hamas takes no responsibility for the Gazan civilian population. Asked by Russian Today’s Arabic language station on October 27 why Hamas has never built any bomb shelters for Gaza’s civilians, Moussa Abu Marzouk, another senior Hamas political bureau figure, replied from his safe redoubt in Qatar that the underground tunnels are exclusively for the protection of Hamas fighters. But responsibility for providing for the needs of the civilian population, which elected Hamas in 2007, rests with the UN (UNRWA) and Israel.
Finally, dead civilians are a propaganda bonanza for Hamas, and the means by which Hamas secures international support for a ceasefire. For that reason, Hamas has attempted to block Gazans from fleeing south in response to Israel’s warnings to do so, and has even fired on caravans fleeing the fighting in northern Gaza.
The only party with an interest in keeping civilian casualties to a minimum is Israel. And that has always been the case. What Colonel Richard Kemp, former High Commander of British expeditionary forces in Afghanistan, and someone with a lifetime of experience in asymmetric conflicts, said of the IDF in Operation Cast Lead remains true today: No army in the history of warfare has done more to minimize civilian deaths.
Even the BBC, not generally known for its excessive sympathy for Israel, last week interviewed Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, a Gazan dentist who described how he had received a phone call from a fluent Arabic speaker urging him to tell all the residents of three neighboring apartment buildings to evacuate immediately, as the Israeli air force was about to bomb those buildings. The Israeli caller kept him on the phone for an hour. The buildings were bombed, as forewarned, but no civilians died as a consequence.
Later that same evening, Shaheen received a call from another Arabic speaker instructing him to bring the same warning to residents of another set of nearby buildings. And again, Israel planes did not drop their bombs until they were assured that the buildings had been evacuated.
Point four: Those demonstrating around the world and demanding a ceasefire pretend to be moved by the terrible humanitarian crisis in Gaza and by Israel’s allegedly genocidal attacks. Yet their ceasefire calls are inevitably accompanied by enthusiastic calls for the elimination of Israel: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”; “Just one final solution: worldwide intifada.”
If they really cared as much about the Palestinian population of Gaza as they do about the extermination of the Jews of Israel, they would be fervently hoping for the elimination of Hamas as quickly as possible. Hamas’s leaders, like Arafat before them, siphon off vast sums of international aide to build seaside villas or to live luxuriously abroad. A number of them are estimated to be billionaires.
Anything that can be put to military use — water pipes to fashion rockets; concrete to build tunnels — is. The needs of the civilian population count for nothing. Even now, Hamas is well-stocked with gas, water, and electricity in its underground lairs, while the civilian population goes without.
The Allies’ demand for “unconditional surrender” by Germany and Japan at the end of the World War II is the relevant historical precedent for the current battle. Hundreds of thousands of German civilians died in the last months of the war in Europe and even more in Japan, with the firebombing of Tokyo and the dropping of nuclear weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
But without that unconditional surrender, the denazification of Germany and the end of the emperor cult in Japan could never have come about. Only by shedding their authoritarian culture were Germany and Japan able to enjoy their post-war prosperity and become the crucial bulwarks of the Western alliance.
There can never be peace between Israel and Palestinians as long as Palestinian children are raised on the goal of Israel’s destruction. But that is precisely what they are taught in the UN-run schools in Gaza — that Israel’s very existence is, as Hamad said, a “catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation.”
Yassir Arafat walked away from an offer at Camp David in 2000 far beyond the Israeli consensus because he had never prepared his people for peace — i.e., acceptance of Israel’s existence in any borders. And accepting Israel’s permanence would have left him, in his words, “a dead man walking.”
That same yearning for the end of Israel permeates all the demonstrations in support of Hamas today and the social media posts of Palestinian academics and doctors (and many non-Palestinians as well), whether they are devout Muslims or not. That frenzy of hatred makes all talk of a two-state solution in the present pure happy talk.
The one place where that hatred is diminished, as has been clear in recent weeks, is among Israel’s Arab population, who have enjoyed the benefits of life in Israel, both in terms of their prosperity and their individual freedoms. Whenever a proposal is broached for a return of certain Palestinian areas to a future Palestinian state, the residents’ protests are loud and overwhelming. And at least part of the reason is that those living in Israel are not educated to loathe Jews or on fantasies that they will disappear into the sea.
The relative wellbeing of Israeli Arabs, as compared to their fellow Palestinians, could serve one day as a beacon of hope for all Palestinians, including those of Gaza. But first Hamas must be eradicated entirely.

Drone Strikes Hit US Bases Amid Escalating Israel-Hamas Tensions
Tumblr media
Drone Strikes Target U.S. Bases in Syria and Iraq In a recent incident that has raised security concerns, drone strikes were launched at U.S. military installations in both Syria and Iraq. On the same day, a separate drone attack was thwarted at a U.S. base in Iraq. Here's what we know so far. Syrian Attack A U.S. defense official revealed that a U.S. base near Syria's border with Iraq and Jordan, known as the Al-Tanf base, was targeted by an undisclosed number of drones. Additionally, Lebanon's Al Mayadeen TV reported that another U.S. military base, the Conoco base in the northern Deir al-Zor region, was attacked with a missile. As of now, there is no official confirmation of casualties or damage from these attacks, and the responsible party remains unknown. Iraqi Incident In Iraq, three one-way attack drones aimed at two different military bases. The U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) later confirmed this incident. Two of these drones targeted the Ain al-Asad air base in Western Iraq, where American troops are stationed, resulting in minor injuries among the coalition forces. Another drone targeted a base in northern Iraq with no reported injuries. USCENTCOM stated, "In the last 24 hours, the U.S. military defended against three drones near U.S. and Coalition forces in Iraq. We are continuing to assess the impacts to operations." The U.S. currently maintains about 900 troops in Syria and 2,500 in Iraq, but the operators of the drones remain unidentified. Background and Tensions These drone attacks occurred amid rising tensions in the region, particularly following an explosion at Gaza City's Al-Ahli Hospital. Hamas initially attributed the explosion to an Israeli airstrike, which was met with international condemnation. However, the Israeli Defense Forces presented evidence suggesting that a misfired rocket from Palestinian terrorists was responsible. President Biden also noted that U.S. intelligence indicated that Israel was not to blame for the incident. Amidst these developments, terror groups in the region have expressed their intent to target U.S. interests if the U.S. becomes involved in the conflict. President Biden, during his visit to Tel Aviv, reaffirmed the United States' support for Israel. As investigations into these attacks continue, the situation in the region remains under close scrutiny. Read the full article

#notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article
