Kembali Tambah Rute Internasional, Kini Bandara I Gusti Ngurah Rai Layani Penerbangan Bali – Papua New Guinea

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, BADUNG - Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai kembali menambah pelayanan penerbangan internasional. Hal tersebut seiring dengan mulai beroperasinya Citilink Indonesia rute Bali – Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. General Manager Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai – Bali, Handy Heryudhitiawan, menyampaikan apresiasinya atas penerbangan perdana Citilink Indonesia ke Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. “Dengan beroperasinya rute Bali - Papua New Guinea, saat ini Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai melayani 30 rute internasional oleh 36 maskapai. Sebelumnya, penerbangan menuju Port Moresby dilayani oleh maskapai Air Niugini di tahun 2018,” ujarnya. Pesawat Citilink Indonesia dengan nomor penerbangan QG598 melakukan penerbangan perdana dari Bandara I Gusti Ngurah Rai – Bali pada pukul 04.20 WITA. Pada penerbangan perdananya, pesawat dengan tipe Airbus A320 tersebut mengangkut 45 penumpang menuju Port Moresby. Citilink rute Bali – Port Moresby dijadwalkan akan terbang dua kali dalam seminggu, yakni di hari Kamis dan Minggu. Adapun saat ini Citilink melayani dua rute internasional di Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai – Bali, yakni menuju Dili dan Port Moresby. “Penerbangan Bali – Port Moresby merupakan momentum bagi Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai untuk memperluas rute internasional pasca pandemi. Di tahun lalu, kami melayani 12 juta penumpang dan untuk tahun ini kami perkirakan jumlah tersebut akan meningkat hingga mencapai 20,3 juta penumpang,” kata Handy. Handy menyampaikan penerbangan internasional di Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai akan semakin bertambah kedepannya. “Kami masih terus melakukan koordinasi dengan seluruh stakeholder untuk terus melakukan penambahan rute internasional. Kami ucapkan selamat kepada Citilink atas penerbangan perdananya ke Papua New Guinea.
