I am thinking about Shadows Admist Snowstorms’ canon plot and how it doesn’t match my expectations for it based on what I’ve seen from the trailer and fan art. Basically, some sorta rewrite…

(Mostly just me fulfilling my dream of a bitter Subject 2 monologue towards Albedo about Rhinedottir)

First of all, the whole Winter Training Camp plot can be cut out since it wouldn’t change anything… Eula, Amber, and Bennett’s goal is to get down from the mountain, but that’s a result of the Winter Training Camp plot, and there could be another way for them to meet on the mountain… Eula and Amber are mostly there for fluff during the Albedo-cooks-for-everyone scene. Eula gets a bit with Traveler on suspecting Whooperbedo’s true identity; that part is fine. In the Fellflower fight aftermath, Amber explains how a Whooperflower works but then Albedo can sum it up himself…

And then there’s the way Albedo just reveals to us info on Rhinedottir and him being a humunculus, and then how he was created with the mark. The way he just pulls us aside tells us (breaking the show, don’t tell rule), and also how he talks about the Primordial Human Project in an internal monologue with it not being brought up again later—

And then, Subject 2’s plan on replacing Albedo with the Fellflower as a distraction… We need to know his motivations explicitly instead of Albedo musing about it (in a cutscene monologue that no other character hears, nonetheless). Maybe, he could reveal his intentions some more (cryptically?) when we first meet him at the cave first. Either through subtext or metaphors… Or, he could reveal his intentions in a monologue about his backstory?

What if we get a confrontation between Subject 2 and Albedo? (That’s that I had expected based on fanart.) With the Traveler’s life on the line, Subject 2 forces Albedo, Traveler, and Paimon to submit, with the Fellflower as his henchman. And then, now with an audience, Subject 2 reveals bitterly his origins (Primordial Human project, the star mark, homunculi) and Rhinedottir’s maltreatment towards him through a villainous backstory monologue, and talks about perfection and love (as a result of Rhinedottir’s treatment, again). And he’d have a motive for doing so, since he’d be proving to us that he’s the “original” version through this while finally having his untold story heard, thus gaining our sympathy.

I wanna watch something but idk what 😫😫😫 I think I’ll finally try Fight for My Way. Currently I’m halfway through Into the Ring, which I will finish, just not right now. Also I’m on episode 3 of Flower of Evil, which I’m going back to maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. Also I have like half an episode left of Rookie Cops. I just want something fun & light.

Wedding Impossible only made me cry today and the was after I watch The Midnight Studio, which always makes me cry 😩😩😩. Idk I thought of trying a cdrama, but I’ve never completed one of those. Thinking maybe Everyone Loves Me or Admist a Snowstorm of Love.

Oh also I’m on episode 5 of Uncanny Counter.

If the big twist of the Shadows Admist Snowstorms event is that the Albedo imposter is actually the other Gold homunculus (Albedo’s dead dragon brother??) going all, “Mom always loved YOU better and I’m going to have an attitude about it now” I’m going to be very disappointed

Just curious if you ever have a Ko-Fi or something for us to support? That and in light of the recently ended Shadows Admist Snowstorms event can we get more Albedo (sick)fics? Preferably with platonic found family Kaeya, Klee and Traveller if you aren't up for writing Kaebedo since I've noticed you prefer different ships hehe

I don’t have a Ko-Fi or anything like that and I don’t plan to really set up one because I honestly do this out of a love for the fandoms I have and writing etc. but if you do wanna support me just introduce my fics to others you think may like them and I definitely do intend to write more fics for Albedo both with found family (because I love that trope) and also romantically with the Traveler and Kaeya as his partners. I do ship Kaebedo but it’s one of those background ships I have 😂 and I do have one or two prompts for it I actually made awhile back that I can do. OKAY I JUST GOT HOME FROM WORK SO-

Uh Shadows Admist Snowstorms spoilers

I think the event ended already, I've been too busy to play genshin since the last quest came out but just in case-

Anyway so

I said Albedo but it's really his clone-

Not the whopperflower, the version before him; Subiect Two I think is what Albedo called him

Anyway I don't refer to him as either cuz I call him Nigredo since Albedo is named after the second phase in magnum opus (alchemy) and Nigredo is the first phase. He came before Albedo and also the symbolism of the Nigredo phase and the albedo phase kinda relate to them- from my very brief wikipedia research at least

Anyway, is it strange that I'm simping for Nigredo? Y'know, the dude that's gotten like 5 (confirmed) lines and personality is completely up to interruption?

Idk maybe it's cuz the story suggests he just wants a place to fit in and live a normal human life and I imagine myself slowly breaking down his barriers to trust that he can live a normal life without killing Albedo and the Traveler, which also leads into the idea of a very awkward sibling relationship but that's a whole other thing-

I find it funny I gave you that advice when you sounded stressed and then preceded to have the most stressful week and not take my own advice

OMG YOU CAME UP WITH A NAME FOR HIM TOO?? i went with Saros bc i liked the sound better than Nigredo + it still ties into Albedo’s name, bc Saros means the beginning of the eclipse cycle, and Saros was eclipsed by Albedo in Gold’s eyes so and ya know like light and reflectivity w eclipses ANYWAYS ANYWAYS Anyways

and no simping for him is perfectly normal-

i am kinda attached to the idea that like when albedo walked off with his sword to talk to/fight with subject 2/Nigredo/Saros, albedo already knew that they were in too similar of positions for him to kill Subject 2, so he went “how about I get you a different human life, so you don’t have to kill and replace anyone?”

and then he had Subject 2 become Joel’s missing, dead father so that he could experience love and what it’s like to be human but without killing anyone + giving Joel his dad back :( <3
