Between Bat and Dasein, it can sometimes feel like YW is caught in the middle of a YA love triangle, even though the two characters never cross over within the canon (YET). In a tight race, Dasein got 54.8% (46 to 38). No worries, Bat, we still love you!

Malistaire and Alzahared are, in so many ways, the Sauron vs Gandalf matchup. Wise old men beating the shit out of each other. Rising from the ashes, Malistaire wins this bout, with 70.2% (59 to 25).

Honestly, this has been the MOST contentious vote thus far, and I have no idea how it didn't end in a tie -- in the end, Lydia stans pulled through, getting 52.4% of the vote (44 to 40). SHE'S the giant rat that makes all of the rules, now!

I don't know why I haven't run my WizNPC Drag Race simulator with Morganthe yet, because I seriously think, given more time to fight each other, she and Cyrus would create the most intense rivalry possible. Imagine the lipsync. Maybe Malistaire will get a chance to fight her and redeem the Drake family honor, because as of right now, Morganthe has walked away with 63.1% (53 to 31). Sashay away, Cyrus...

Finally, we hit the matchup that made me cringe to write the title of in round one, but I knew it had to be done -- Scorpion and Dalia Falmea. The fight was less than even, with a resounding 85.7% (72 to 12) of the vote going to Falmea. Are any of us surprised?

     ❝ eee--!! ❞   yelped the youth , stifling the yelp under his breath , the moment alzahar unpromptedly lifted him up with so much ease to then sit him on a counter , so that elpis could meet with his eyes without having to sprain his neck .   the gesture brought a warmer hue to his cheeks , lithe fingers finding themselves to caress and poke alzahar’s face , tracing invisible lines across his features and exchanging with him softened smiles and smothered giggles .

     ❝ uhm , ❞   but whenever he had alzahar that close , elpis often found himself speechless , with no words to speak , with no thoughts clouding his mind but the thought of him . even if he didn’t voice it , he could bet alzahar knew it -- that he was thinking about him , by the way those mismatched hues observed with such fondness his azure oceans .

     ❝ i forgot what i was talking about ... ❞   he giggled again , at the same time shrugging it off ; it was probably not important if he forgot it . it was nothing about alzahar , of that he was certain or he wouldn’t have forgotten .

     however , despite sitting on a counter , alzahar still managed to be a few inches taller -- not so much , though , for elpis could perfectly reach his lips , if he wanted to .   yet , as alzahar leaned down to meet with his forehead , elpis tried his best to ignore the sudden flush across his face and to simply relish in the moment . he exhaled silently and closed his eyes , allowing slender digits to find their way behind his neck and to toy with his cerulean locks .   whatever he was talking about , now it didn’t matter . even if surrounded by nothing but silence , his heart spoke thousands of words .
