Once they're outside, Hitoshi thrusts half of the ice cream towards Izuku, suddenly feeling nervous.
“For you,” he says.
Izuku's eyes widen again. “For me? Are you really sure?”
Hitoshi scuffs his sandal on the pavement. “’Cause we're friends. And you helped me and stuff.”
Izuku doesn't take the ice cream. Instead Izuku throws himself at him in a really tight hug and Hitoshi almost falls over.
“You're the best,” Izuku tells him, before pulling back and taking the ice cream from him.
(Or: in which baby Hitoshi gets sent on his first errand and successfully comes back not only with the groceries but also with a new friend!)

A lot of things start and end at Kamino for Katsuki, and compared to all of them, this is such a minor thing, it shouldn't even register as an issue. And yet, here he fucking is, staring up at his hand like a goddamned idiot at three in the morning, the vestiges of a nightmare clinging sticky and unpleasant to his back along with his cooling sweat.
His hands are disgustingly sweaty and too warm and Katsuki's had to wipe them clean on his shirt one too many times. Kirishima's hands had been sweaty too when he grabbed him at Kamino. Katsuki can still feel the phantom touch of of each finger wrapped around his palm in a bruising grip.

The dance had started as it usually does; Hawks uses Dabi and Dabi uses Hawks. An equivalent exchange of information. It was fine until Hawks decided to change it up, and Dabi's been through this enough times that he can pick up the shift in mood and when situations pass that unseen mark when free turns into ‘free*’.
He's not unfamiliar with that dance either, and he's a willing dance partner if it gets him closer to his goals. What he's not willing to do is step aside when Hawks starts looking at a new ‘dance partner’. Every dance has an end.
A less wholesome variation of the fic “a promise made…” where misunderstandings happen and Dabi finds he has more support than he knows what to do with.
