hakita was so real for making the violence layer's primary theme grief/loss. That underlying the grand music and set pieces there's a massive tragedy playing out that no sentient thing is free or can escape from. Then the secret level tells you to clean up your mess. A funny subversion of usual level exits and of the layer's downward spiral loss feeling. It starts playing the only non-sadboy tune of the layer and beneath the joke it's what healing feels like. Tedious, long, annoying, tedious again. Ultimately fulfilling and relaxing to finish though.
