Welcome To My Corner of The World

I am planning on using this platform to create my personal blog, and also help end a stigma to being an aging gay male is the end of life. Its actually the opposite. I mean we can decide to slow down, or we can actually take care of our vessels and learn to live a physically healthy and mentally healthy vibrant life.

There is nothing for being mediocre but its not something I will settle for, with myself. Every single one of us is meant for so much more, if we allow ourselves to believe it and put in the work to get there.

I also am a survivor of mental abuse from an ex partner.

Jesus Christ the in memoriam piece on CNN tonight just drives home how awful this year was. Jimmy Buffett was my first concert ever, with some friends of my parents who were serious parrotheads (papier mache sharkhead on their Saab). I went to an event honoring Tony Bennett right when I was opening my business, one of the first public things I did in the neighborhood as part of the local business community. Paul Reubens, Tina Turner, Sinead O'Connor, David Crosby, on and on and on.

Is this just what things are like once you're middle aged? Every year is full of death?

Oh hi there just call me MacGyver 😘 All of my floor cleaning machinery has been breaking down like they've got the seasonal depression too. 2 half-broke vacuums, 3 fully-broke steam mops, then even my heckin' old school style mop bucket got a hole in it. (Side note: is there anyone else but me on this whole earth who remembers that grade school song "There's a Hole in the Bucket Dear Liza, Dear Liza," or just me? Lol.) But tonight with a screwdriver and some cleaner and one paperclip to clean out all the tiny things --- Bam WHAT??!! I fixed it. Kiddo says it's this men's flannel I bought at the Bimart yesterday.
