I’ve never been a SF fan but…

Like the rest of the internet, I’m loving Cammy’s new design.

C’mon, it has everything I love: Jackets (thought it was denim; would been 3x as cool), a bob, fingerless gloves/gauntlets, and capri style pants ( I know they’re yoga pants but still). I’m crazy about the loose jacket belts too. Anything that makes an outer garment look flowy is a plus in my book.

When you're building a wardrobe on a limited budget, investing in staples is the best way to get more for less.

In this example, a simple solid sheath dress can go from office to day dates with a few swaps in accessories and outerwear. And bonus points if you stick with timeless, high-quality accessories because they can be swapped for different looks, too.

Trendy fast-fashion pieces may seem inexpensive, but they generally aren't as versatile and might not last for more than a few uses. This means you'll end up spending more in the long run.

High-quality plus-size clothes can be hard to find, and it doesn't help that for many plus-size retailers, a high price doesn't necessarily mean better quality (ahem, a certain store that rhymes with horrid). This may be weird, but check thrift stores in areas where there are a lot of church-going people—they like their Sunday best!

Some other places to look are online closet markets like Poshmark and Mercari. The great thing about closet markets is that they usually accept offers.

Finally, don't overlook discount stores, like the kind that sells random snacks and other things. They sometimes get runoffs from department stores and sell these pieces at a deep discount.

And if fast fashion is what you can afford, that's OK! They can have super durable pieces. Just make sure to check the reviews.

The most important thing is to make your wardrobe accessible for you. If you don't like heels, there are so many nice flats out there. It is possible to dress well, sustainably, and affordably as a plus-size person as long as you stick to the basics you love to wear.
