A fitting role

Every time I think BTS can't surprise me anymore something like this happens. This morning RM was named Public Relations Ambassador for the Ministry of National Defence's Remains Excavation Team.

I'm not sure if this changes anything in terms of how he will conduct his military service but at the very least I imagine he will need to dedicate some time in the next couple of years as the public face of that department and inform about their mission and results.

But what does this department actually do? This is the description taken from the Naver article below.

Before this morning I didn't know of its existence but, if you must serve in the military, then I can't think of a more fitting role for a poet and a culture buff than reuniting families with their ancestors and by so doing connecting them once again with their own history. I am sure that is what also appealed to Namjoon when the request was made. I wish I could understand Korean to understand the stories told in the first ten minutes of the video below.

It would be interesting to know how long they have been working and how many families have received the remains of their loved ones both in South and North Korea and in other parts of the world.

BTS members are making their way in the world and are doing their best to stay faithful to who they are and what they believe in.
