Hiya Penny, as someone who's looking to buy a new gaming monitor, is there generally a difference with anything over 120hz? Because a lot of the monitors I'm finding would have the perfect specifications im looking for if not for different hertz.

There WILL be a noticeable difference past 120hz but as you get higher and higher that difference becomes smaller and smaller until you reach the point of super diminishing returns around like 300hz i think? I would say it depends on your hardware but right now you really don't have to worry about trying to go past 120 or 144 hz with current technology. Anything past that is like Super Cutting Edge framerates to try hitting that modern games especially are not going to get anywhere near. You'd be better off spending the extra money you'd maybe spend on higher refresh rates on monitors with better features instead like an OLED panel or HDMI 2.1 or like decent VRR support.
