Little update from me: I know I’ve been pretty radio silent for about a month but here’s an update.

The initial surgery was a bust. Something was up with the ducts and the surgeon was uncomfortable taking out my gallbladder.

I had another surgery earlier today and that one was successful! My gallbladder was still a little inflamed and the surgeon said it was difficult but it’s out now and I’m happy now.

He had to do it in a way that’s called “dome down”

And that just means that the gallbladder was removed from the liver first(aka doing it backwards, gallbladder first, then the ducts/blood vessels second from what I could tell from looking it up.)

Had 2 drains in me after attempt 1: the first was removed about a week after, the second was removed today during the surgery.

I have no drains in now, but it still kinda hurts since I got out at around 4:45-5:00.

Holy hecc my shoulders. Ouchie. This is normal since it was robot assisted/laparoscopic but ouchie, 2/10 would not recommend.
