Currently conflicted on if "Bird Boy" should be set in the 80's/90's or the modern era...🤔

#Bird Boy #My OCs #I mean - I could 100% see Jasper and Alannah discussing issues pertaining to modern life... #... such as being a bi4bi interracial couple and how to support/protect others like them but at the same time... #... these characters feel very much like the protagonists of an 80's/90's movie with things like... #... frequent roller skate dates and trips to the dive bar where one works and another sometimes performs... #... not to mention my idea of an OST which consists mostly of older songs from the mid to late 20th century. #And it's not like they can't also deal with bullying from others based on their bisexuality or the fact that... #... they're an interracial couple back then because people like them were certainly bullied for that in... #... decades gone by too. #Plus I'm a bit of a sucker for the idea of a little kid asking a much older Jasper about life in his old... #... home in a beachside town and how he fell in love one summer. Though I already have an idea... #... like that planned for a major part of “Thank You Mr. Arnold” soooooo IDK. #All things considered it could go either way. ATEOTD they're a pair of lovers in their mid-20s who... #... I typically imagine being dressed in rustic rocker/greaser attire most of the time.
