maggie , who holds some sway over similar magics , finds herself the subject of much speculation ( which she is used to) , but not because of her mother (which she is not used to ) . they think her a goddess too , albeit a different flavor than their own king .

Hypnos lets her speak, listens to her opinion, but the deep set frown remains on his face. The topic of his realm was the one thing to sombre him, to bring him into focus when usually he might be more carefree. Slumber, its permanent citizens, that was all his responsibility.

"I enjoyed my realm without all of this. I created it, yes, but I don't want them to focus on it. Even more importantly, I don't want what happens here to happen there. Religious conflicts, crusades, arguments. Already there are offshoots happening..." He sighs and rests his hands over hers.

"Slumber is supposed to be a place away from all of this. One world like this is enough! I love their free will, but I need to shut this religiosity down. Before it hurts them. I don't have the capacity for this."

Besides, he had enough responsibility as king, let alone as their god! Now they wanted his input on every single thing in their lives sometimes. He just couldn't keep up.
