MARK WATNEY the martian canon character , astronaut for the ares iii mission to mars , botany and mechanical engineering specialist — 36-41 , he/him , fc: rahul kohli

he earned a phd in plant biology and conservation, with an emphasis in hydropedalogy and environmental engineering. his work focused sustainability and resource management in earth’s critical zone and developing nations

a part of the ares iii mission, he was selected for his humor and good attitude, feeling it would be a good balance for the rest of the crew. he was also selected to experiment with plant growth using martian soil and gravity

he was left stranded on mars for 564 days or 18 months, until being successfully rescued and returned to earth 

star trek verse: a starfleet scientist, he was left behind on a planet after an emergency abort by the shuttle and subsequently the whole ship due to life-threatening conditions. he was presumed to be dead from the storm until he was finally able to make contact with starfleet again thanks to a passing by research vessel. his rescue was difficult due to being in a region of space filled with anomalies, but eventually he was recovered and became a professor at the starfleet academy 

ROMEO DIXON marvel original character , affiliated with lvebug , resident of 616 , drummer & creator of the band heart attack — 19-25 , he/him , fc: omar rudberg

a student at empire state university, he’s a classics major which comes as a surprise to no one given his name, and his family, if they know them. romeo’s parents are both theater actors, who own a small company together that puts on shakespearean plays.

he plays drums, percussion, backing vocals, and is 1/3 of the original creators of the band. romeo is the brains and the anchor of the group. he’s the most responsible one in the band and typically handles the plans surrounding gigs

when he’s not busy with the band, or school, he’s got a pretty big other side job: love bug’s guy in the chair! andie eliot is one of romeo’s best friends, and a secret keeper of her identity as a superhero

CHARLES ‘TRIP’ TUCKER III star trek: enterprise canon character , chief engineer & commander for the historic enterprise nx-01 — 30-40 , he/him , fc: connor trinneer

self taught from working off boats, he is renowned as a gifted orbital engineer although he has a bit of a reputation for getting himself into trouble, especially as he has no restraint from sharing his opinion on something

although he can be outspoken, he’s fiercely loyal and compassionate. he believes in an individuals rights to their desires, interests, and more even if they contradict authority or tradition at times. he will never leave anyone behind and feels deeply responsible for those around him

he has an undying interest and love for engineering and studying technology, especially that of aliens. he’s also a lover of many films from the 20th century, notably horror, and enjoys classic books about travel and adventure

GUY FLEEGMAN galaxy quest canon character adapted for star trek , historical reenactment actor , enterprise stowaway , he/him , fc: ben feldman

a frequent actor in many historical reenactment medias about the history of the federation, early flights, and starfleet. he typically plays a background officer and no important historical figures

when mistaken as an actual crew member by an alien ship, he’s mistakenly taken aboard instead of an actual officer who was meant to rendezvous with them. he spends a week getting by with the knowledge he has from his many acting roles but ultimately the mistake is discovered & he is picked up by the enterprise

with every intention to get him home, he continues to be stuck on board because they keep running into stuff and forgetting to return him. he more or less serves as a historian and part time entertainment on board

a 4th generation firefighter, three decades on the job, his experiences and wisdom are unparalleled in the field. for him, the firehouse is more than a place to go for 24-48 hours, it’s another home, and one he proudly leads and looks after from giving hard advice, making the tough calls, to cooking meals. his team is his family, and he looks out for all of them. 

the other half of his family is his wife, athena, two step kids, may and harry, and his wife’s ex-husband. he considers him a big part of the family and a good friend.

he is an addict, and takes his sobriety very seriously, as well as the mental health of others. he’s a big advocate for getting help & continuously works on himself by attending meetings and confiding in the people in his network like his sponsor.

one of afc richmond’s very own greyhounds, sam is one of the more optimistic and supportive people around the club.

she’s seen a lot for her age and is pretty decent at handling herself, largely in part to adding herself to her dad’s investigations
