personally i was thinking 15 depending on stats/nature but i think 5-10 sounds way more fair. your idea of saving them for major battles sounds really fun!

i was just thinking of like the gyms and they're all encountered at level 45 so. 15 levels means i can't use them until the e4.... idk if i'll catch all 3 either depending on encounter tables like if there's something else i really want... it all depends LOL. this section of the game is kind of open in that you have access to like undella bay and routes 13-14 and 11 and that cave for tynamo before the gym so i have a lot to consider before i have to go that way. i don't think that catching them will be a huge problem (at least not coballion, it can only hit jellicent with iron head LOL so).

i also just feel like while they are legendary pokemon idk if they're necessarily 15 levels better yknow? like lucario has way better attacking stats than coballion does.. it's still a strong pokemon for sure but i feel like a 580 BST isn't THAT insane. like just thinking of drayden haxorus has a BST of 600 and like a base attack stat 50 points higher than coballion's. etc. but they are still legendary pokemon so i don't wanna throw em out willy-nilly in a run that's meant to be very challenging

but yeah i have time to decide before tomorrow LOL. i feel like i have to resist the urge to stream later and later because it's soooo light and nice outside here.... honestly i might do a super dumb late stream in like 45 minutes just to get the TM for protect from the battle subway

Hunter’s Pokémon journey part 29.

When I arrived at Lentimas Town, I thanked Skyla and I went the Pokémon center to heal my Pokémon. After that, I caught more Pokémon in the strange house and reversal mountain. When I went through reversal mountain, I found myself at Undella Town. I made a quick visit to Undella Bay, where I caught a Jellicent with its hidden ability. After that, I encountered the legendary Pokémon known as Cobalion! I battled and caught it. After I caught Cobalion, I went to Lacunosa Town, where I heard a story about a legendary Pokémon that came to Unova many years ago. After catching more and more Pokémon, including the legendary Pokémon Virizion, I arrived at Opelucid City. I battled against gym leader Drayden and got the legend badge for winning. But after I won, Team Plasma’s ship arrived and covered the city in ice! And they took the DNA splicers too! I had to do something to stop them. After I went back to Undella Town, I went through the marine tube, which is a tunnel under the sea. As I walked through, I was amazed! It was like an aquarium! I saw so many water Pokémon swimming by. I saw Basculin, Frillish, Mantine and even Wailord!

Update | Group Hiatus

Hello everyone! Rowlet-Mod here with an important announcement.

Undella Bay is going on hiatus. 

This isn’t to say that the group is ending; however, things have been changing Mod-wise, and as such, we didn’t feel it was fair to you all as a group to attempt to enforce Activity when we ourselves are having trouble doing so ourselves.

With school in full swing and our Mods having our own difficulties to face through with our lives, we can understand and empathize with the fact that you all may very well going through the very same.

As such, we’ve decided that the group will temporarily be going on hiatus. 

That is to say the following —

All who are on the Masterlist will remain there. Effective today, February 22nd, we will no longer be conducting Activity Checks, and will no longer accept members.

If you wish to continue RP’ing with your current blogs, you may do so, in whatever capacity you wish — whether still with previous UBR members, Indie, or moving to another group. If you wish to drop, we’ll attempt to keep up with all of these as they come. You’re not required to tell us of your leave, but you can leave an ask letting us know if you really want to. We’ll answer these asks privately.

As well, those who wish to remain in our group chat, you may also do so, and enjoy the IC server if you want to as well, but you’re free to leave at your own discretion. 

We welcome blogs who move over to other groups, and we have a lovely affiliate at Wild Encounters that would be happy to accept any members they don’t already have. 

We also want to apologize for the members who’ve come here that have found UBR their home, but we’re happy to have had you, and to have made this space available to you.

While we don’t have a set time in mind, we’re hoping for a revival by the end of 2019. Hopefully, we’ll be back soon!

Going on Hiatus!

If there’s anyone still around, we’re sure you’ve noticed the lack of activity within the past few weeks. Multiple members are on hiatus and others are preoccupied by other matters. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for active role playing, this group can no longer provide that environment.

As of August 28th, 2017, the mods are officially placing Glory Route on an infinite hiatus. We’re not exactly sure when a revival may happen, if it does at all. If there’s anyone who's willing to take on this group in the future or desires to connect with the mods in an attempt to breathe life into the group, we recommend contacting us on other social media and not through the ask system on this very blog.

The warm, summer breeze drifted through the air with a hint of the smell of salt accompanying it. Even though she was on the beach, it wasn’t the ideal vacation Kris had imagined it would be. She was all the way in Unova, and she itched to catch all the different types of Pokemon she hadn’t seen before. Still, she couldn’t do anything about it. She had to stick near her mom, which meant she was stuck in Undella.

Kris had already encountered new species of Pokemon that weren’t in her Pokedex when she had been surfing in the bay on Starmee. At the time, unfortunately, she only had regular pokeballs on her, no ultra, level, net, diving, or quick balls. Some catching expert she is. Still, even if she wanted to catch Pokemon, it would’ve been difficult in getting them back to Johto. The PCs in Unova have a slightly different system than back at home; Kris could have probably figured out a way to transfer them but that would require letting her mom out of her sight for a small period of time. Which was the case now.

“Mom? Oh god, where did you go now?” It had literally been fourteen minutes since Kris last saw her mom. She had run back to the cabin they rented to get changed into her casual outfit since it was a lot more comfortable than the awkward swimsuit she had been wearing, and also to get some sunscreen. And when she came back, her mom was gone from the place she had been in.

The trainer felt more annoyed than anything else. Her mom had probably gone off somewhere to waste her money on souvenirs while Kris wasn’t looking, or something or the sort. Or maybe, knowing her, she had seen something sparkly in the distance and just had to go investigate. What a pain.

Kris glanced around, hoping to catch sight of her mom. Instead, she saw a girl with long brown hair. There was no harm in asking if she saw where her mom went. “Hey, sorry to bother you but have you seen this lady that’s around this height with black hair, a beauty mark under her left eye, and wearing a slightly weird outfit?” She indicated her mom’s height, which was slightly shorter than her’s, hoping that the girl saw her. It would make this ordeal a lot faster.

Is it acceptable to age characters up slightly? Example: the early protagonists are meant to be 10 or 11, but would it be okay if we roleplayed them as in their later teens?

Hello Anon, and good morning!

We at Undella Bay are usually very flexible about how we allow our member’s Muses to be interpreted — as long as it’s within the loose confines of canon, we believe it’s perfectly okay! Considering no protagonist’s true ages have actually been confirmed past ‘fanon’ — or, what most fans of the game consider to be canon — you’re perfectly free to make them however old you want them to be, within reason that is.

For us, we see no problem with having made, for example, Ethan set out on his journey at eleven, twelve, or even up to sixteen or seventeen. Considering Ethan has no canon age, all of these are within reason.

For many of our fellow members here, many of them have in their character’s history that they set out on their journey at these ‘fanon’ ages — such as, Green and Red set out on their journey at around eleven — but that they have since aged from then, and that the experiences of their adventure and their encounters with their respective enemy teams were memories of a time long passed.

So the long and the short is that — absolutely! You can absolutely RP them a few years older than accepted fanon, or even many years, though it’s accepted that these are all still children under the age of eighteen for the core series Pokemon games. For your potential character, however, we’d recommend you look at the other characters who are involved in their life ( so, for example, if your potential Muse is Gladion, you may look around at Lillie, Sun, Moon, and Hau on the Masterlist ), and base your headcanon within the realm of reason in comparison to those characters.
