Why had she been feeling so? Off? It was a growing sickness but that was near impossible with her vampire status. Raising her hand to leave the classroom so she could sleep in the nurses’ office. Alice dragged her feet over to the small confide room to get some sleep. 

Maybe rest was all she needed, though her body was screaming for something else too. She thought it might be best to speak to her partner but he’d probably recommend something ridiculous than give her a straightforward answer. And there was no way she was pregnant yet either. She would’ve known since she’s been keeping up with testing and whatnot. 

“I just need..some rest.” Falling asleep in an empty room, Alice also found it odd that there was never a doctor in here. She herself has never seen the doctor or nurse either.

While out exploring in an unknown town, Alice had strangely lost sight of her partner when she heard twisted laughing behind her. “Look fellas, seems we’ve found ourselves a living dead. Why not take her out? Heheh…” Whipping her head around, Alice saw she was outnumbered obviously, but they were only humans.

Though not knowing herself, these were vampire hunters, after disposing of several bodies, Alice was about to retreat to find her partner until one hit her head in the back with an unidentified object.

Needless to say, Alice was unconscious for quite some time and upon waking up. A sense of...fear filled her body, this---looked nothing of the sorts of where she should be. A fancy-looking room from the bare eye and her throat, it--was terribly parched. Not to mention that throbbing pain that was looming over her head, “perhaps I should find out where I am.”

Soon but not short after, Alice placed her hand to her throat where the door bursted open, perhaps that was just the state she saw it as, but with the door opening. The female grasped the covers and looked shocked towards a---weirdly dressed fedora man. And just as he inched closer to her while wearing a conflicted smile, Alice shut her eyes and remained mostly calm. “Ah-- Um? Who are you?”

“Ghh....” There she was again feeling the same way as always. Whenever she discussed how she wanted to move forward in their relationship, Laito would brush it off as it only being a possibility for the future and how he wasn’t opposed to the idea. 

Well even if she did find that okay, it pulled at her heart indefinitely. And as the days passed with them only doing the usual routine, Alice had done something that she hadn’t in a long time. 

SLAP!

Marking Laito’s cheek with her palm, tears fell from her face. Perhaps it was because she had a previous human heart that she felt all sorts of emotions, but...she was mad and frustrated over how she couldn’t properly express her wanting to take a change in their relationship. “I...h-hate you! Why won’t you ever listen!? All you’ve been doing is toying me, haven’t you?” Threatening that she’d run away, she knew he’d brush it off, but upon returning to her late that night, she had opened her balcony doors where she then swiftly leaped over the edge to take a long walk over to the demon realm.

“...!” Okay. That startled her, when he had slammed his hand against the lockers.

And it really wasn’t her intention to be that aggressive, she just wanted to scold him for bothering her every single time she’d prepare to go to her next class or for lunch...breakfast. Things were so much different when it came to remembering what mealtime came next that she started to give up on caring about what to call mealtime.

Losing the grip, Alice blushed when he called out for trying to seduce him, “you have got to be kidding me! You’re the one pressing me against a locker right now.” Pushing him away now, the female grunted in annoyance. “Just let go already, it’s gym class and I’m already late.” She had gotten too absorbed in her reading that she forgot the next class period would be starting shortly. Everyone was probably already at the gym. 

“Does your mind ever stray from having coitus?” She doubted it but she was trying to resist him in all ways she could think possible. “Also we’re at school you idiot, this is no place to be acting... like what you are back at home.”

A rare surprised and innocent looked washed over the female’s face as her partner came around to ask if she wanted some alone time on the roof. It seemed pleasantly harmless and if it meant she was able to spend more time with her partner than she’d certainly oblige.

“I suppose it would be nice.” Resting her head into his chest while wearing a small smile after he pressed his lips to her cheek. Alice held his hand and walked steadily up to the room with her boyfriend.

Okay...so maaaybe sassing your teacher gets you in trouble, it’s not her fault for trying to help a student that was falling behind and all Alice wanted to do was try and help out for once since she was actually paying attention to the lesson for once, while she might seem like a good student, all she prefers doing is the assignments, the lectures were always so draining... but if she had to compare it to blood sucking? Okay, she’d rather not. 

More importantly. During class the teacher had asked, “Miss Alice, why are speaking during my lecture?” To which Alice replied, “Why are speaking during my conversation?”It got several standing ovations and rather...upset teacher to the degree where she got detention.

During detention, Alice stuck her down like she had a needle stuck in the back of her neck, “Reiji-san is going to kill me.” Unless she was lucky and managed to run away before that happened, no...she’d never make it, those Sakamaki brothers are terribly good at keeping chains on the “guests” that live with them. 

Letting out a sigh, it didn’t last long as she heard someone take a seat next to her, picking her head up, Alice recognized him, he was...in her class. 

“Hey, you're...Alice-chan, right? I’m Seamore. I’m in your class and I just had to say... I thought what you said was bloody brilliant. Ah. Forgive my tone, I’m partially English. My family is originally from England. And you? You look to be a foreigner. I do recall you being a transfer student.”

Turning her head to the side, Alice brought a hand to her chin, while looking almost sweetly to the boy. “Um. Yes, I suppose we can go with that.” Feeling shy, Alice apologized for disturbing him if she did during class to which he laughed and pursued a bright conversation with the girl for well over 10 minutes or so before Alice realized she needed to get up to use the restroom.

While Seamore made a joke about her, Alice laughed loudly before exiting the room. It had been a long while since she smiled this much, it felt good. 

Humming as she walked down the hallway, Alice then disappeared into the women’s bathroom for what only felt like a short spell, excited to get back she ran all the way there but furrowed her brows when she couldn’t find Seamore? And instead...there was Laito.

“H-Huh?” Did Seamore leave to go to the bathroom, with Laito being here... she couldn’t be sure and carefully entered the room. “Don’t tell me...you got detention for flipping someone’s skirt, but you didn’t want to come in right away because you’re a delinquent like Ayato. Or.... a lazy cat like your older brother, Shuu.”

“Alice-chan....” There it was...that condescending tone that her lover used to get what he wanted. Or.... whenever he had something up in his head because he was bored. Though, she was a bit thrown off when he asked for help with his homework of all things. Alice thought he hated school, but then he mentioned Reiji and she immediately understood.

Still...Alice had her guard up and she couldn’t help but let out an amused snort of sorts when he blew into her ear like that because she knew then that he had to be obviously messing with her. “Dearest Laito, if you truly want help with your homework, I would be glad to ---assist...you.” Looking upwards, Alice placed a small kiss on his cheek.

 “But you do realize it won’t get done if I’m the one to help you, right?” And wasn’t Laito already smart enough to figure such simple solutions on his own accord?

Breathing softly as she begun to open her eyes, Alice only sat up when she felt the body weight of another. Crap.... She fell asleep on Laito, didn’t she? Growling, Alice moved her hand and slapped his cheek. “GH! Will you quit playing around like that!? And get your hand out of my dress you lech!” After snapping at him, Alice did her best to move away while touching her throat. It really was dry.
