My parents and I were talking about Lent and mom said that she's glad she wasn't alive during Jesus's time, because as a conservative and authoritarian, she feels like she'd have been one of the people throwing stones at Him if she were.

And I was like..... maybe that's a HUGE BLINKING NEON sign to stop being either of these things???

Like how do you, as a christian, get yourself to admit that and not re-examine every political worldview you've adopted to lead you to that point. You were this close to getting it. This close.
