It makes me sad you feel you have to say you're a S2 apologist! There's nothing to apologise for imo, S2 was awesome, I loved it.

don't worry, i use "apologist" in loose terms, cause i definitely don't apologise for it. i love season 2 and think it's a spectacular season of television. it makes me go nuts.

#a lot of people's criticisms boil down to the fact they believe there wasn't enough cute wilmon #which like ya #but also narratively and from a storytelling perspective #they weren't even on speaking terms properly for most of the season like come ooooonnnnnnnnnn #yeah a lot of time was spent on august and sara #but a lot of time had to be spent on august and sara for us to believe the things that both characters did #we needed to believe that sara was actually in love with august to buy into the idea that she would've betrayed simon's trust by telling #him that he was going to the police otherwise everyone in the fandom would've been like #'i can't believe she chose august over simon when they only hooked up a few times!' #which ppl are arguing anyway #but at least w the time spent on them it's more a believable motivation #also i understand the frustration at marcus and the love triangle #but that was like 5% of the season and simon's feelings never once strayed from wille like that is present throughout the entire season #omg i have a lot of feelings on defending s2 apparently #it was messy and crazy and insane #but that's my baby #young royals
