Love that my confectionery hobby has apparently reached the point where I can watch coworkers and even managers struggle with complimenting my skills without encouraging me to quit and leave to pursue it as a new career

#when I first started working here and people were like ''nice to meet you! tell me about yourself! what do you do in your free time!'' #i was like ''i make homemade chocolates'' and they were like ''haha that's cool :)''' #this last week was the first time I actually brought some homemade chocolates to work and I left them in the break room #and for the next three days literally everyone in the building would stop by my office at random times to be like #'''(⓿_⓿) bro what the fuck those are so good like SO good oh my god where did you learn to do that'' #my actual job is plant tissue culture so one guy was like #''hey did you hear about that startup in California that's using plant tissue culture to grow ethical chocolate in a lab'' #and I was like ''?? that sounds 10000% like something that should be on my radar'' and he showed me their ad #and then he was like ''yeah it is pretty cool isn't :) ...... *panic* don't leave though :('' #my old manager at my last job would even talk about how I should start a chocolate shop and then hire her to be my marketing manager #how funny is that. my manager wanting me to quit and start a business and become HER boss. #maybe someday #mine #chocolate #food #sweets #candy #memories #work memories #employment #hobby #hobbies #i watch chocolate guy videos with a pained longing because I know if I could just afford the right stuff I could be like him #but even the fucking chocolate ''paint'' gun is like $400
