5. Did either of them try to resist their feelings? Mason definitely tried to resist his attraction to Johnathan, purely because his anxiety was telling him that Johnathan would never be interested in someone like him. It was also mostly a case of assuming he wasn't into guys as the default. It was only when he overheard Johnathan talking to Liv about the fact a female coworker was hitting on him and he "wasn't into women" that Mason finally saw a spark of hope.

7. What are their favourite things to do together? Before the collider explosion, Mason and Johnathan would frequently hang out at Ohnn's apartment where he could nerd out about all his collectibles. They also liked to hang out at a local coffee shop relatively close to the lab. Johnathan always got decaf and a donut because he said caffeine made him "too shaky to do anything".

After the Spot-ification, Johnathan doesn't really like going out unless it's to steal something. Usually money. If he does go out, he tries to cover himself as much as possible, especially his 'face'. He loves watching movies at his place with Mason since he doesn't have to cover himself up and feel all stuffy. His favourite genre is science-fiction, even if he does constantly point out all the scientific inaccuracies.

Band-aid 🩹 - If there was one thing about your F/O that you'd want people to understand, what would it be? HE'S A GROWN ASS MAN. HE IS NOT A SWEET INNOCENT UWU BABY. I'm pretty certain he would literally Kill Miles if he got the chance. The fandom infantilizes him so much and I have no fucking clue why?? I honestly have the sneaking suspicion it's his autistic traits but maybe I'm just projecting ( i'm probably just projecting )

Balloon 🎈 - Does your F/O celebrate their birthday? Additionally, does your S/I or yourself celebrate yours? If so, what's the special day looking like? Johnathan's one of those guys that thinks he got "too old" for birthday celebrations, so he'd usually just go out and get a coffee and a pastry as a mini-celebration. I tend to celebrate my birthday at home with Test Tube Baby, eating all the snacks I want and watching shitty movies. For me, it's more of a lazy day than a party or anything. I always celebrated Johnathan's birthday at the lab, though!

Romance 🌹 - What's the most romantic thing your F/O has done? Furthermore, what's the most romantic thing you have done for your F/O? Well, as two people who were formerly hopeless romantics, basically everything we do for each other has some aspect of romance to it. The most romantic thing I think Johnny's ever done is when he actually went out of his way to get me a small bouquet of orange flowers, since he knows that's my favourite colour. They died pretty quickly since I suck with flowers, but it was a sweet gesture anyway.

The most romantic thing I've ever done for him? It'd probably be the time that I cooked one of his favourite foods before he came to my place as a special surprise. I'd sneakily asked him about it the day before. It wasn't the best thing I'd ever cooked, but it was apparently good enough for him!

The Spot ♈️- Is your F/O quick to anger? Do they have anger issues? If so, how do they cope/how do you help them? Before the accident, Johnathan was a pretty laid-back guy. If someone made fun of him, he'd just kind of brush it off and be a bit miffed for a few minutes until he eventually forgot about it. After the accident, though, I notice he's a lot more high-strung. He's more emotional, which means he struggles with controlling his anger sometimes. If I notice him getting frustrated about something or someone, I'll try my best to de-escalate the situation. Sometimes that means removing him from whatever's bothering him, and other times that means trying to distract him with cute cat videos. The cat videos always work.

♑️- What is your F/O’s sense of humor like? Do they even have one? Johnathan's always had a sense of humor, mostly consisting of sarcasm. "Oh, yeah, that's fine! Totally fine," he'd say after being told to do some boring medial task by Olivia. Then he'd promptly roll his eyes after turning away. He's never been a fan of self-deprecating jokes, though. He always tells me to stop if I say something negative about myself, even if it's a joke. Now that I say it, he kind of forces me into having better habits. Since he became The Spot, he hasn't lost his sense of humor, thankfully. Even the stupidest jokes can get him cracking up. Especially the stupid jokes.

Spider-Man Noir ♋️- What is your F/O like when they cry? What do you when it happens, if anything? Pete rarely, if ever, cries. It upsets me if I think about it too much because I know he represses a lot of his feelings. I always tell him it's okay to cry if he needs to, but he usually just dismisses it. The rare times when he does shed a tear, he'll get real quiet and almost look angry if he has his mask off. To comfort him, most of the time I just hold his hand and squeeze it a bit. He grew up in a very 'crying = feminine' sort of time, so I understand his mindset.

♌️- Does your F/O enjoy the finer things in life or do they prefer to stay humbler? Any expensive things he owns came from his Uncle Ben, since he was a big spender. Pete isn't a person to frivolously spend money, especially given he's living in The Great Depression. The most he'll ever splurge on is something for me, even though I regularly tell him not to worry about getting anything for me. I have to admit that it's very flattering, though. One time, he got me a nice silver ring, and he only admitted after the fact that he didn't realize that it'd feel like an engagement ring. If I wear it at my job in my dimension, I regularly get asked by customers if I'm getting married soon. It always catches me off guard and turns my whole face red.

Bu.bba Saw.yer 🌻 Thoughts 💭 - What do you think your F/O thinks about you when you're not around? Well, hm. Bubba is a guy that's kind of hard to read emotionally, but I think he mainly looks through my notebook and wonders what my life was like before the fog. Most of the drawings in my notebook are of him, after all. The first time I ever caught him going through it, I got super panicked because I thought he was going to think I was weird for constantly drawing him- but he was really happy! I wish I had my bass guitar so I could show him all the stickers and play something for him.

Sp.ider-Man No.ir 🕷️ Band-aid 🩹 - If there was one thing about your F/O that you'd want people to understand, what would it be? I always get so frustrated about the fact everyone sees Pete as someone who's super emotionless and antisocial. Yeah, he's usually the one in a group who isn't super talkative, but he loves talking to people if they actually listen to what he's saying. He'll talk your ear off about random American history facts. He's also a pretty emotional guy if you get him to take off his mask- literally and metaphorically.

Joh.nathan O.hnn Smile 😊 - What about your F/O makes you smile every single time? Furthermore, what's something you do that makes your F/O smile every time? OH MY GOD. HIS HANDS. He uses his hands to talk about as much as he uses his mouth, and it always makes me smile watching him get so expressive when talking about something he's into or he's telling a story. He also fidgets a ton; messing with his hair, buttons on his clothes, or basically anything he can get his hands on. His laugh is also very, very cute.

As for the other half- he's told me he likes to watch me play video games. Johnny tells me that I scrunch up my face and look 'pouty' when I'm really focused on a game and it makes him smile. It makes me a bit embarrassed to think about what my face might look like sometimes, but he makes me feel better about it.

Masonoir Green rose: What are the things you and your F/O have in common? Well, besides the obvious 'being Spider-Man' answer, we both love music! Though, to be fair, my music taste involves a lot more heavy drums and screaming, but music is music... right? I've also noticed we both love drinking coffee, even if we like it prepared differently. Pete kind of goes overboard on the sugar. There's probably a lot more things that I just can't think of right now!

Blue rose: What is your favorite date setting? I'm honestly a bigger fan of just hanging out together than, like, going to a fancy restaurant or something. Pete feels bad when I tell him not to spend money on me since that's one of the ways he knows to show he cares, but I already know he cares, so it doesn't really matter to me. One of my favourite dates with him was when we just chilled out at his apartment, laying in his bed and listening to the radio. Pete told me that after a while of laying there, I curled into his side and just fell asleep. He didn't even notice I was asleep until he tried telling me something really sentimental and I didn't say anything back.

Masohnn 7 roses: Who is more affectionate? Do you often show PDA? I'm definitely the more affectionate one. Johnathan is pretty touch-starved, so he's a bit awkward about initiating any touches even though he really wants it. I'm touch-starved too, but I'm more direct about stuff. Johnny gets kind of embarrassed about any PDA since he doesn't like people looking at him, but I love it because I want everyone to know I love my boyfriend! Most of the time when we're in public, it's just holding hands, which I'm fine with. It's nice and subtle enough for him to be comfortable with it. Even before we started dating, I'd touch him as much as I could. On the arms, hands, shoulder, gently brushing a stray hair out of his face- stuff like that.

There's gonna be a Shit Ton of loredumping under the cut so. uh. buckle up I guess.

Mason C. Anderson ; Alternate SV S/I 📝: How would your story in canon go? How would you influence the events of the original story? I think at most, Mason's scenes would be deleted scenes during the start of the movie, before the bodega scene. In Mason C.'s story, he was working at Alchemax as a fellow scientist several 'levels' under Johnathan for a few years. Mason always admired him, but never made a move, as he assumed that Johnathan would never be interested in someone like him. Johnathan eventually made the first move and talked to Mason, which lead to them becoming good friends at work. Then, it evolved to an outside-of-work friendship where they'd visit each other's places when they had free time.

It was only a day before the collider explosion happened that Mason decided to propose the idea of going on an actual date with Johnathan that weekend, which he agreed to. Mason was sick on the day of the explosion, so he had no idea what happened until he saw the news reports. He immediately assumed that Johnathan had died and grieved the loss of the man he had developed extreme romantic feelings for, even if they weren't actually dating. He decided to quit the next day, never wanting to associate with Alchemax again.

Before the events of the bodega scene in ATSV, Mason was shopping at a store and heard faint whispers close by that sounded like... Johnathan? He didn't really believe it was his voice until he got closer to the source and approached Spot, looking up at him with wide eyes. Mason had grown out his hair and looked generally unkempt, so Spot didn't recognize him at first. They awkwardly looked at each other until Mason spoke and reached out a hand to touch the humanoid figure's arm.

"Johnathan? Is that you?" That immediately sent Spot into a panicked state, assuming the worst was going to happen. He was going to be ridiculed for his appearance again, just like how everyone else at Alchemax treated him. He began to flail around, trying to hide his 'face' with his hands and stuttering about how it wasn't him. Unfortunately, the strategy didn't work.

Mason began to cry as he hugged his arms around Spot's waist, Mason's head only reaching up to below his chest. He babbled through tears about how much he missed him and how he thought he had died. Those words successfully made Spot stop panicking, looking down at Mason in shock before placing his arms over the other man and letting out a big, shaky sigh of relief. Finally, he'd found someone who didn't care what he looked like now. He didn't even notice his face was blushing. He didn't even know he could blush!

Funny thought: Mason would show up during the montage of Spot and Miles popping around everywhere. He'd look across the street at them fighting and just say "Johnathan?" with a confused look. He wouldn't really influence the plot any; just a cute addition.

Mark Caldwell ; DBD S/I 🪐: What would be your most popular AU and why? The only real AUs that exist for DBD are the role swap AUs, so it'd probably be that. Mark would be a killer instead of a survivor, but I can't think of a good power concept off the top of my head for him. It'd probably have something to do with deafening survivors for brief periods of time, since in his life, he was a bassist in a punk band in the early 2000's. The guy is loud. I think his name would be something like "The Punk" or something, idk.

Mason Anderson ; SV S/I 🛌: What tropes show up in fics involving your ship? Oh, geez. Probably the most popular would be the 'all the other characters ship them together' trope with him and Noir, if we're going for pre-relationship. During the relationship with Noir, it'd probably be friends to lovers since that's literally just how their story develops. I like to think the rain kiss trope would also be one because I am just. such a sucker for it. AND IT FITS NOIR PERFECTLY!! It's literally a constant trope in noir crime-fiction.

Tabby: Is your F/O snuggly? Are you? If so, what are your favourite ways to cuddle? Me and Johnny are both cuddle-bugs. Sometimes I don't like being touched, but even just sitting or laying next to me while I scroll on my phone is enough to count as 'cuddling' for Johnathan. I think my favourite way to cuddle is using Johnny as a big pillow and laying my head on his tummy or chest.

Tuxedo: Do you both prefer fancy dates where you dress up, or casual dates? We've never actually gone on a 'fancy' date together, but I think we prefer the casual ones a lot more anyways. The best kinds of dates are the ones where I can wear my pajama pants and graphic tees with video game characters on them. I do have to admit that I'd love to see Johnathan in a suit, though.

HI Sorry I got distracted watching Jerma compilation videos,,, like I said last time, I answered 1 a while ago in another ask game, but I'll do the rest!

2. What was their first impression of each other? From Mason's perspective, he was a new hire at Alchemax when he first saw Johnathan walking through the cafeteria. Immediate thought: "Oh my God he's so hot", followed by "he'd never like me, though." The first time they actually talked to each other, Mason could automatically tell that Johnathan was an awkward nerd. Well, outside of being a scientist-type nerd.

From Johnathan's perspective, the first time he saw Mason was when Mason was carrying a huge stack of books into his office. His first impression was along the lines of "he's strong for his size", since Mason stands at a measly 5'1" compared to Johnathan. Eventually that impression turned into an admiration for his confidence and a growing attraction.

5. Who initiates kisses? It depends on whether Johnathan is feeling confident at the time. Most of the time it's Mason, but it is pretty challenging to initiate a kiss with someone almost two feet taller than you. It usually involves Johnathan sitting down for easy access.

4. Do they have any pets? As addressed in one of my other posts, Mason has a single cat! He found the little guy outside of the Alchemax labs all by himself as a kitten, so Mason took him in. He's a fairly large black cat with amber eyes lovingly named Test Tube Baby. Johnathan would regularly text Mason asking for updates on TTB when he was a kitten, and loves hanging out with him when he visits Mason's apartment.

NATALIE FRIEND!! Hello!! I am Going to commission you. eventually. probably this month. I actually already answered 1 and 4 in a previous ask game post, so I'm just gonna answer the other ones!

3. What was their first kiss like? It was kind of in the heat of the moment in Johnathan's office. Mason had come in to chat while Ohnn worked on some boring paperwork, watching him write and looking at his cute 'focusing face'. His eyebrows were scrunched up and his hair was sticking to his sweaty forehead. Mason absentmindedly commented how handsome Johnny looked when he was focused, causing him to pause his work.

In what seemed like the blink of an eye, Mason was pressed against the wall, Johnathan kissing him on the mouth. After it happened, Dr. Ohnn took a step back and apologized, not knowing why he did that. All Mason could do was brace himself against the wall to try not to pass out, muttering something about how he liked it a lot.

7. Who takes the lead in social situations? It's 100% Mason who takes the lead. You know that meme where it's like "he asked for no pickles" and the girl standing in front of the boy? Yeah, Johnathan is the one who asked for no pickles and Mason is the one speaking up for him. Johnny really isn't a big fan of conflict, even if his sarcastic sense of humor does get him in trouble sometimes.

1. Who said "I love you" first? Johnathan didn't actually say it out loud- instead, it was a note he left on Mason's desk with a succulent he bought as a gift for him.

"I heard you say you wanted a succulent for your office. Love you. ❤️"

Mason was in disbelief when he first read it, blushing red all the way to his ears. They hadn't even gone on a date and Ohnn was already using the L word?! That was actually the day that Mason asked Johnathan to go on a date with him. The day before the explosion.

It has his first day on the job, and Johnathan was walking through the cafeteria behind Olivia when Mason saw him. He could've sworn his eyes turned into cartoon hearts. Johnathan looked at him briefly, raising his hand and smiling slightly as a greeting. Mason just sat there, stunned and feeling nauseous. He thought about that the rest of the day. Now that they're in an official relationship, Mason still loves Johnathan just as much as when he was fully human. He frequently gets caught staring at Spot when he's not looking. When he gets caught staring, he looks away quickly and covers his reddening face in embarrassment.

7. Give us 3 random facts about your S/I! Hm, well the first fact is probably that he loves wearing button-up shirts and has a whole collection in his closet. Like those Hawaiian dad-shirts. Yeah. Second fact is that he has a cat that he found outside the lab as a lone kitten. His name is Test Tube Baby, he's all white, and he's deaf. The third fun fact is that his go-to karaoke song is Buddy Holly by Weezer.

13. Would you ever want to cosplay as your S/I? I don't see myself ever going to a convention as him since I'd get a bunch of "who are you?" questions, but it'd definitely be possible! It would be pretty easy since I'd just need a lab coat my size, a plain black t-shirt, and some cargo shorts. Well, and an Alchemax name tag.

I always like to get him something special for his birthday. Most of the time it's food. He really loves Chinese food. I mean, I do too, but also I can't really eat any more. Sometimes I sit down with him and pretend to eat by putting stuff in my face-hole even though he's told me I don't need to do it.

🧈 - Do you ever tease/flirt with Mason? If so, how do ya do it, and how well does it usually work? Hah, well, usually it's Mason doing the flirting and teasing. I'm not very good at that stuff. If I try and flirt I'll end up stuttering and embarrassing myself. The first time I tried approaching Mason when we both worked at Alchemax, I stumbled and he caught me by my shirt collar before I fell on my face. I remember him telling me to 'be more careful'. After that, we introduced ourselves and I was kind of smitten from then on. Usually, nobody would try to help me if I stumbled or dropped something, but he was the first person to actually help me out!
