a really subtle detail i like about this game is that like...the demons have fake-out deaths to trick nanashi & co., but when you go back and pay attention, you can notice the way the game tricks you.

when you ACTUALLY commit deicide(tm), the god / demon shatters, signifying that you have 100% killed them. when aforementioned god or demon is tricking you into thinking they've been killed, they make a big show and then FADE away.

another interesting detail is that like...dagda KNOWS. when it happens he usually has a tiny piece of dialogue, usually ellipses -- he KNOWS that they're faking nanashi out, but because it's part of a grander scheme of his, he doesn't say shit.

sometimes i think abt the fact that nanashi's ultimate armor was literally made by his dad. i think every day about the pride he might have felt even after nanashi pulled the shit he did. his & asahi's dad cared so fucking much and im so sad
