@obedientmade &&. said... Random positivity ask! I've always loved Scaramouche as a character. He's gone through so much, is very complex in all facets, and has always generally intrigued me. We haven't interacted much yet, but Ren has to be, without a doubt, easily one of my favorite interpretations/portrayals I've seen of him. I love reading the intricacies of your writing, your headcanons, and just seeing how much clear thought and effort you've put into one of my most beloved Genshin characters, and how you've so uniquely made him your own. Ren is such a lovely little meow meow and I would die for him actually. His relationship with momijiba's Kazuha also has had me going from laughing, to smiling at how sweet they can be, to suffering from angst lmfao. Thank you for bringing such wonderful, endlessly entertaining interactions to my dash, because I've enjoyed every single one and I absolutely look forward to interacting with you myself further in the future!

THIS  IS  SO  SWEET!  😭i  think  i've  probably  mentioned  it  before,  but  scaramouche  was  the  entire  reason  why  i  started  playing  genshin  to  begin  with.  (  fellow  scara  enjoyer  —  excellent  taste,  i  am  shaking  your  hand.  )  i've  always  just  thought  he  was  neat  and  really  entertaining  to  watch,  even  when  we  only  had  a  grand  total  of  six  minutes  of  screentime  to  go  off  of.  i  actually  forced  myself  to  stop  writing  him  for  a  really  long  time  because  i  would  come  up  with  a  ton  of  ideas,  only  to  have  them  all  totally  ruined  six  months  later  when  we  got  a  new  crumb  of  lore.  after  a  while,  i  decided  i  would  only  write  him  again  once  he  was  actually  confirmed  playable  and  we  finally  knew  what  his  entire  deal  was  because  i  love!  coming  up  with  super  detailed  headcanons!  character  analysis  is  one  of  my  favorite  things  about  writing.  i'm  just  endlessly  fascinated  by  taking  what  canon  has  dropped  in  my  lap  and  reverse-engineering  it  to  figure  out  how  a  particular  muse  ticks.

and  ren  has  been  SUCH  a  fun  muse!  i've  written  on  tumblr  for  an  embarrassingly  long  time,  but  i  can't  recall  ever  having  this  degree  of  brainrot  for  a  single  character  before.  even  after  a  whole  year  of  this  blog,  i  still  feel  super  excited  whenever  i  know  i  have  a  bunch  of  drafts  or  asks  to  get  to  because  i  just  really  love  writing  him!  and  there  are  so  many  talented  people  here  that  i  feel  so  fortunate  to  write  with  —  milla  is  most  definitely  one  of  them.  (  honestly,  they  deserve  endless  praise  in  their  own  right. they're just as passionate about kazuha AND they tolerate my brainrot SKVSK  )  writing  kazuren  has  been  a  blast,  and  i'm  so  so  excited  to  see  where  they  go  from  here.

I  DO  TOO,  ANON!  we've  joked  about  it  before,  but  it  feels  like  they're  waving  at  each  other  from  across  the  dash ...  it's  very  cute! ( kazuscara is canon; why else would they have matching emoji? hmm, skeptics? /j )

i  know  i've  said  it  before,  but  i'm  so  happy  i  was  afforded  the  opportunity  to  meet  milla  through  making  this  blog.  they  really  are  such  a  wonderful  friend,  and  my  comrade  in  brainrot.  there's  always  this  kind  of ... ?  anxiety  inherent  in  shipping  with  a  muse  like  ren,  just  because  he's  such  a  messy  and  complicated  individual  —  it's  not  going  to  be  easy,  it's  not  going  to  work  immediately,  he  is  probably  going  to  make  it  difficult  and  make  a  lot  of  mistakes.  i  feel  really  bad  because  i  don't  want  to  give  off  the  impression  he's  being  a  brat  for  senseless  melodrama  —  he  really  is  just  like  that!  but  milla  has  always  been  completely  open  to  letting  both  of  our  scruklies  make  their  own  mistakes  and  navigate  their  relationship  in  a  way  that  feels  natural.  i  can't  even  begin  to  describe  how  special  it  is  to  have  a  friend  you  can  just  run  up  to  with  whatever  random  little  plot  that  pops  into  your  head  and  be  like  "hey!  let's  do  this  thing!"

it's  been  such  a  blast  to  write  them  so  far.  i'm  absolutely  loving  their  development,  i'm  loving  everything  we  have  planned,  and  i  really  love  the  little  things  that  happen  unexpectedly  as  a  natural  consequence  of  their  interactions  —  we  weren't  planning  on  them  getting  together  the  way  that  they  did!  at  all!  we  had  an  entire  first  date  plotted  out  WEEKS  in  advance  —  and  then  they  spontaneously  confessed  because  ren  misinterpreting  a  silly  joke  spiraled  into  a  reexamination-slash-deconstruction  of  their  entire  relationship.  things  just  happen  between  them.  any  mundane  conversation  can  be  tooth-rotting fluff, crack  or  genuinely  develop  them  in  new  and  unforeseen ways.  it's  such a blast.  milla  is  a  wonderful  rp  partner  who  pours  an incredible amount of love  into  their  portrayal.

my  rambling  aside,  i'm also  so  happy  to  hear  that  you  enjoy,  anon!  it  feels  like  such  a  high  compliment  whenever  someone  comments  on  a  thread  we're  writing  or  just  on  the  ship  in  general  —  we're having fun, it's  really  nice  to  know  other  people  are  having  fun,  too.  💖

listen,  ren  cannot  do  things  in  moderation  —  either  he's  indifferent  to  your  existence,  wants  you  dead,  or  will  literally  take  enough  blades  to  make  a  porcupine  wince  on  your  behalf.  pain  tolerance  thrown  entirely  out  of  whack  by  countless  years  of  torture  mixed  with  the  most  immortal  form  of  immortality  to  ever  immortal  has  turned  the  concept  of  self-preservation  into  a  silly  little  joke.

level  three  friendship  means  he's  effectively  ready  to  "die"  for  you.  on  the  other  hand,  it  takes  level  fourteen  (  out  of  ten  )  to  get  an  actual  scrap  of  emotional  vulnerability. it all balances out.
