I wanted to ask some tips on writing actually!

I wanted to ask how to write double meaning words like imagine a character says something but it's meaning is something else i don't explain things sorry 😭

i assume you are trying to say something like, the character saying they don't like someone but actually they do kinda scenario?

in such cases the best thing is to focus on the feelings/mind/body language of the character? for example the character says,"i hate you," but the very next thing you write is actually how they don't and how they really feel inside the emotions. or you could write about how while saying they hate someone their body language says otherwise or there's a hesitation in their tone/voice.

you can also show in a way that the character is speaking words that are generally harsh but their expression is something totally opposite like a playful smirk, or a wide grin. otherwise someone is saying something like "it's okay," but the hurtful expression and empty eyes show that they're clearly not okay!

another really great way would be to show the character's life you know like descriptive not narrative and how they feel towards the people present in their lives and then drop in the dialogue that's opposite of what they actually feel.

for example the whole story revolves around the character's difficulty with facing strong emotions especially towards people they don't wanna lose. difficulty with opening up and accepting love and then comes in a character who shows love and each time the character is conflicted and convinces themself that this person does not love them simply because they don't know how to accept love. and when they finally realize they love that person they are afraid of hurting them and say things to distance them but internally they just love them so much.

honestly my jay fic has this concept of saying something and meaning something a bit so when it's out i'll help you with excerpts from there!

THESE ARE ALL I CAN THINK OF, REMEMBER IT WON'T LOOK TOP NOTCH AT ONCE IT'LL REQUIRE PRACTICE AND TIME AND EVERY PERSON HAS THEIR OWN UNIQUE STYLE SO NEVER THINK YOU CAN MAKE IT EXACTLY AS SOMEONE ELSE,, FOCUS ON FINDING UR OWN STYLE!!

look through pinterest for aesthetics and decide on a particular color palette or a theme like this time i decided on cyperpunk and these are some pics i downloaded from pinterest for it.

then, carefully download the pics that you like as many as you can do you have a lot to choose from

on tumblr, while putting the pics make sure they compliment each other and at the same time are not too similar but give the vibes of the theme or color you're going for.

as for the texts and everything, think of something that matches your theme for example here i have cyberpunk so i thought of what i could add text wise like cyperpunk 2077 edition, cloud from cloud computing or maybe initiating access, access denied/granted. you get it? if you go for a literarature/play theme you could add act II: scene 7, characters or something like that.

after you have decided on the text, try different fonts to see which one matches the theme best! as well as you can add some quotes or lyrics that match the theme or ones that you like. also trying using symbols but not a lot that doesn't usually look nice.

for the background and bio select colors that are present and dominant in the pics you have used.

then keep experimenting with the theme until you are completely satisfied! overall everything should look cohesive !!
