Mike Orange (Mike Mak) is a member of chochukmo 觸執毛, and Mike Orange & The Universe Travellers is a side project he’s had going for a few years.

Tom Cheeky is also in chochukmo, who appear to be on hiatus since last October. 

By the way, chochukmo singer Jan Curious has a project called R.O.O.T (Running Out Of Time), with Tzu Yu Fish Huang 黃子瑜-drums, Teriver Cheung (Teriver Cheung & Ensemble Transience)-gtr., To So aka SOTOC-keyboard/synth bass. 

I haven’t found an official FB or YT channel for R.O.O.T, but drummer Fish has a bunch of live stuff on his channel, 黃子瑜 (fish), including a set from this past February. This song starts off subdued and turns into a jazzy jam:

A couple of jazzy tunes to end the week...

The instrumental single Rain from bassist Richie Goods & vibraphonist 魯千千 (Chien Chien Lu) was released in December, and the clip above is from the release show. The band for the performance is a bit different than the recording, and features a soaring vocal from Jonathan Hoard-Voc.

Richie Goods-Bass, Quintin Zoto-Gtr, Miki Hayama-Keys, Allan Mednard-Drums. Richie & Chien Chien play together in a few different ensembles.

The song is credited to Brian Alexander Morgan and Jaco Pastorius. [from Wikipedia: "Rain" is a 1997 single released by the group SWV. The musical backing track is based on *Jaco Pastorius's "Portrait of Tracy."] Jaco Pastorius was the bassist for the legendary band Weather Report.

This is their half of a split EP with an Indonesian indie rock band called See the Eye.  

See The Eye promo-ed the EP at their fb, but it’s not out yet -- at least, it’s not on their Bandcamp. They have other releases, including 2 new singles.  Whale Done mentioned that there has been some delays, but they are very excited to have 2 songs out, I think this is their debut recording.  We posted a demo version of one song earlier this year)
