Honestly, Satsuki has never seen a Viera before and she's still absolutely mystified by them. The very first time they ever met was because Satsuki couldn't resist pulling on her ears to see if they were real.

The rudeness of it all be damned, of course. Cause after all - she's dead. Most people can't see her. Only children and the occasional Weird Adult Who Has Bad Headaches. It's not like if she physically interacts with someone, they're going to immediately round about and notice her. Most will think it's just a weird chill.

So imagine her surprise when Hera does. She probably ran away after being noticed and gave Hera a small 'search the city for this goddamn kid' quest.

Satsuki! She's my oldest muse, technically, at least that i still revisit from time to time. And by oldest muse, i mean it - my nickname is technically based off of her, since she dates back to when we named ourselves as muns after the muses we played. That nickname just wound up sticking permanently - never wanted to change it since i feel quite comfortable with it. 'Sats' may have originated due to this character, but it really is my name now.

My favorite thing about her is how just… simply pure and sweet she is. Sure, she's the ghost of a child, there's tragedy there and i will play upon that. But the muse herself isn't bothered by her circumstances, and her outlook is very optimistic and kind-hearted, despite how distressing the situation she may find herself in gets. I tend to gravitate towards her when i need a major pick-me-up and a mental safety net, since her mindset is such a much-needed breath of fresh air. Her mindset is therapeutic in a way to write in.

I don’t play her often these days due to not really feeling an urge to write in her mindset, so she qualifies as a ‘past muse’ even if she’s still technically an active one. But she is one of the muses i’m most fond of.

Plus, she’s fun to draw. Haven’t drawn in a while due to not having a comp capable of art programs being open for long periods of time, but she’s the character i fall back to when doing warm ups. she just works very well as a mental encouragement.

i don't mean love for a person. i mean your love for living. your lust for life. it breaks your heart to have to leave everything behind. you're afraid. you don't know what awaits for yoh on the other side. you hang onto this realm with white knuckles and clenched teeth. the world is beautiful, but so is whatever is beyond. trust in yourself and believe that where you're going is where you deserve to be. it will be somewhere good. somewhere grand. it will grant you a sense of fulfilment you could only ever dream of. let go of this cruel world and allow yourself to be welcomed into the next with open arms.

Oh right, i’ve also moved Kinkai and Satsuki over to this blog, since they’re setting-neutral fandomless muses. not that the others here aren’t setting-neutral or fandomless, but they’re very much rooted in traditional fantasy. so enjoy an cartoonishly evil monster cat that refuses to acknowledge that she likes humans, and a very sweet ghost kid that just wants to see you smile. i typically use them in more historical/modern settings.

wife got on a kick with making  heroforge minis of her ffxiv characters and tabletop pcs, so i got wrapped in the moment and made a few renders as well.

i’m not entirely happy with linette due to lack of an appropriate hairstyle. but sweet heavens did sayle and satsuki match their mental thumbnails well.
