         TIMELINE SUMMARY OF JEFF WINGER’S LIFE.

    The purpose of this post is to establish Jeff’s basic timeline through his life. This is canon divergent from the show, due to many inconsistencies and contradictions, and basic plot holes presented in Jeff’s background, and an age retcon that makes no sense to me, so this will work as my own retcon in order to flesh out my version of him as best to my abilities. These are rough bones, and explanation for certain decisions or events will be explained in different posts. While this is no way ideal, and might be changed or polished up in later dates, this timeline will be what I will most refer to during plotting or threading. 

1978: Jeff is born to Doreen and William Wingers. 1983: Jeff’s parents go through a divorce, this is the first time he becomes interested in Law as a career path. 1986: The last Jeff sees of his father. 1988: Jeff transfers schools after the incident involving foosball. 1996: Jeff graduates from high school. 1996-1997: Jeff bought a fake Bachelor’s degree from Colombia, and cheated his way through LSAT’s. 1998-2001: Enrolls in University of Colorado Boulder’s law school. Cheated his way through most of it. 2001-2002: Passed ( cheated his way through ) his Colorado Bar Exam. 2002-2009: Spends the seven years working as a defense attorney specializing in DUI/DWAI/DUID cases in a law firm Hamish, Hamish & Hamlin. 2009: After the legitimacy of his Bachelor’s degree gets exposed, the Bar Association revokes his license  and he is forced to leave his job until he can get a real degree, Jeff enrolls in Greendale Community College. 2009-2013: Studies at the Community college, becomes increasingly more attached to his study group. 2012 Thanksgiving: Jeff meets his father after 26 years. 2013-2014: After early graduation, with a major in Educology, starts his own law firm in Denver in order to stay close to the college and his friends. 2014: The law firm fails, and in desperate need of money, Jeff takes up a teaching position in Greendale. 2014-2016: Works as a Fundamentals of Law professor at Greendale. 2016: Gets an idea from Officer Cackowski to work as a public defender. After consideration, Jeff applies for the position and gets it. 2016-current: Jeff works full time as a public defender ( city/state dependent on plotting with specific muses ), and takes up teaching Fundamentals of Law at a community college as a part time.
