          Those who wander and seek solace. The exhausted, the burdened, and the insecure.

         When all hope is gone, when the future is dim and unclear, there is one deity you can turn to. He opens the eyes of the blind, he whispers into the ears of the deaf, he is the voice of the mute. Faced by difficult choice to make, you will never be alone with him on your side. Though be cautious, as he speaks in riddles, and straightforwardness is not his strongest suit. He is not known to deceive, however, and submitting to his power is a wise choice to make in times of uncertainty.

          He is gracious to the obedient. Those pure of heart and clear of mind will reach their destination so long as they do not stray away from the paths drawn by him. A bashful deity by nature, he hides behind the masks of messengers and prophets, with the latter being plucked out from mankind with utmost care and precision. There is, however, a price to everything. The Seers’ eyes are closed to what’s human, the Listeners are alert to the divine only, and the Orators lack the tongue the mortals understand. To be his servant is an honor one must pay for. As a reward, the prophets obtain knowledge surpassing the common, the skill of healing, and the boundaries of life are restraining them no longer. Not just anyone can bear this burden, and he is well aware of that. He observes, deduces, and judges. 

         He knows no mercy to the unruly. The wayward and the infidels are plagued with insanity, hopelessness, and lunacy. Piece by piece, their memory fades, their common sense fragments into shreds, and there is no way back. No medicine knows the cure, and the only remedy is eventual death. Catastrophic dreams haunt them in their sleep while he watches and decides whether the time for the sweet release in the form of awakening has come. It pains him to punish and send dread upon the people, but he will not be underestimated due to his docile nature. He is known to torment other deities as well, especially if they interfere and interrupt him. As a territorial god he is, he settles for land or city he deems worthy of his presence and will not tolerate divine presences within his sphere of influence.

         Little is known regarding his appearance. Rumor has it vines meander around his limbs, and his trunk is hollow for the animals to use as a shelter from foul weather. His heart is believed to resemble a swarm of fireflies restlessly pumping their vitality into their master and covered with bark thicker than any known to man. It exudes warmth, and dim light squeezes through thin cracks, the deity’s scars remembering the greedy and the manic attempting to claw the precious gem out of its safe nest. It is said that his voice consists of thousands, and the unlucky ones who have seen his face did not live to see the light of the next day.

Berwald is the only person allowed to do anything more intimate to Jaakko’s hair. Wash it, perhaps even trim and cut it. The Finn trusts him enough by now and doesn’t flinch even when Ber touches his neck. In fact, those touches are very welcome.

They’re absolutely silly in text messages and DMs. They send each other gifs, posts that made them think of each other, they’re smooth and teasing with each other. They basically write a lot of things neither of them would dare say out loud. Jaska absolutely loves this form of communication, he feels like he can show Berwald how much he loves him this way.

Berwald tends to bust his ass trying to make Jaakko as happy as possible, so he technically started Jaska’s birds’ hoard. He saw how happy they make Jaakko, and decided to gift him with one when the Finn was at his low. It did work, he felt much better and happier, and he’s currently seeking to enlarge his flock.

Jaakko looks up to Berwald a lot, it’s one of his biggest secrets. He tends to wait for the Swede to make a decision before he does the same. Berwald’s input is something he sets great value upon. Even if he enjoys his independence and freedom of choice Jaakko still wants to know what Berwald thinks and what he’d do. One could say it’s one of his oldest habits, too, since following the Swede’s been in his nature for the longest time during East Sweden times.

💝: What would my muse consider a “perfect gift”?

Short answer: alcohol.

Long answer: surprise him with a customized gift. He enjoys everything handmade and unique, things he can’t find in a store. The more thought out the gift is the better, but he’s grateful for anything because it means someone did think of him in the first place. He’s not picky at all!

💓: How does my muse feel about physical intimacy?

He’s only okay with it when he’s close with someone. Close friend, a family member, love interest: those people get a free hugging passage. When a stranger gets too deep inside his personal bubble, Jaska might resort to violence to keep himself “safe” from this kind of assault, so it’s not wise to be pushy with him. Even with lovers, he tends to be a bit distanced in the initial phases of the relationship. He’s not clingy, he doesn’t like being held all the time, he needs time for himself. With time he eases onto it, but yeah. It might take a while. It’s nothing personal! That’s just how he is.

💌: How would my muse go about confessing to someone they liked? Would they do it indirectly or directly, or maybe not at all?

He avoids talking about feelings like fire, so the answer is probably “not at all”. He’d wait for his crush to fade or for someone to confess to him first. Although that’s bold of him to assume that someone even likes him, so he’s just suffering.

💍 Would they ever get married?

(( Generally speaking, he never gave the idea of marriage too much thought. Jaakko doesn’t know how it would work out given their immortality/country representative status, and the whole deal is a bit scary itself. He would use some easing onto the thought since thinking outside the box in regards to romantic affairs is not his strongest suit. It might be necessary to inform him that a marriage is not equal to a union or some sort of sovereignty violation when it’s a personal thing. He’s highly protective of his independence in all fields of life, but marriage doesn’t necessarily mean being locked in a golden cage. It sounds so simple, though Jaakko has issues with comprehending that. Long story short, with the right amount of persuasion and talking into the idea he might actually consider getting married, but it’s going to be a long and tedious process. Worth it? Absolutely. I’m just going to leave this here: he’d be a good and loving husband these days. ))

🚀 How far are they willing to go for the person they love? 

(( I think that both the answer I gave above and in this ask reply are good examples of how far he’s willing to push his limits when in love. He’s surprisingly selfless in a relationship, and while it’s difficult for him to show that explicitly, he’s trying his best to let his partner know they’re appreciated and loved. ))
