He can’t stop thinking about it. It’s been a week since that little twerp Dustin tried to dethrone him as Truth or Dare champion by giving him the filthiest dare imaginable. Seven whole days since Steve took the bait like a cocksure idiot, so unshakably certain that he could just crawl into Eddie’s lap and then laugh it off like no big deal.

Hubris, that’s what it was. H-U-B-R-I-S. Steve had to write a whole five paragraph essay on the theme for English class his senior year, and he maybe didn’t grasp the concept so well at the time because he’s pretty sure he got a C– on that paper, but holy hell does he get it now. He gets it, alright, and he also for the life of him cannot stop thinking about Eddie Munson and those stupid fucking fingers in his stupid fucking mouth.
