sleepovers with college best friend levi are never a dull moment.

they range from talking about crime documentaries, book recommendations, psychological horror films, what's the newest gossip in each of your departments, and the classic study sessions that will always end with you two leaning on each other on the couch with an unfolding sitcom on the television until the sun peaks through his apartment's windows. sleepovers with levi often leave you with this fuzzy feeling tickling your insides. it's almost like you drank a mug of warm hot chocolate during the peak of winter, snuggled in between piles of thick blankets. these sleepovers will be what you'll be reminiscing about once you get older than you are now; they're bound to become memories ensconced in gold that will forever bring you nostalgia.

because why wouldn't it?

when levi sometimes indulges in your late-night visits to the nearest convenience stores or 24-hour restaurants; the souvenirs from these little midnight trips are encased in small polaroid photos that he shots at random when you're walking together with the streetlights as your companions. (some of these photos end up inside his wallet.) when he watches you with unwavering eyes as you recount what happened to you during the day, his head bopping in slow nods while you relay the story with the most expressive of faces. (he doesn't comment because he does like how vividly you tell certain things; amusements are all mental.) when he makes every bit of these sleepovers as special as possible by making you feel warm and well-cared for. you didn't eat breakfast and didn't have the time to have a full meal for lunch? levi will immediately scold you in the most caring way possible while pacing around his kitchen to make you some decent food,

"do you really want to drop dead in the middle of uni? yeah, that's what i thought."

he may be silent during most of these sleepovers but the tiniest of amused smiles graces his lips as he watches you dance to a random song that plays on your playlist while watching him cook or when you two study for an exam. you don't see it because you're so focused on mastering the choreography of this new song you heard but he prefers you not see his soft mien anyway.

because when levi holds feelings for his best friend, it's always masked in these weekly sleepovers and small acts of service that have your heart racing and blanketed with warmth.

If you could pinpoint it, when do you think is the moment (or action that takes place) where being friends with Levi transitions into being best friends with Levi? (Say, in a college au) And, on another note, do you think he'd ever openly refer to you as his best friend / verbalise it, or would it be more of an unspoken understanding between you two? (Kind of in a 'I don't need words to convey this' way, or since it's not really in Levi's nature to use labels for any kind of relationship)

ooh, this is interesting and hard because even in canon, levi never says out loud that someone is his best friend.

in a modern au where he's a fellow sleep-deprived college student, the moment that deepens your friendship with levi would probably be when he unknowingly lists everything that you show to him as a person; how you scrunch your nose when you specifically smell a certain scent that you deem distasteful, how you laugh or snort at badly-delivered jokes, how you always seem to forget something when you leave a table, or how you like your drink to be cold even when the weather seems chilly. he starts to notice, too, when you care for him in your little ways. you wait for him when he has class just because you have some new restaurant you want to recommend to him. you massage his hand when he starts rolling his wrist after writing so many revision notes on his ipad. you know how to make him his cups of tea or his orders in cafes you two frequent. it's the little things that you two know about each other that make the two of you best friends.

as for him openly referring you as his best friend, that will take some time. levi likes to keep things discrete. one of the main reasons why he doesn't put any label on your relationship with him in public is because he wants it to be just the two of you (no other people needed). there's an unspoken understanding between the two of you. levi makes up for it in buying you your matcha latte or your lunch for the day or simply bringing your heavy-ass tumbler with him as you ramble your days away while he looks at you as fondly as he can. <33

eren x female reader (canonverse) : this is actually something i thought of for my aot x oc fic on ao3.

you're one of the soldiers planning out what could be your final mission. as the first person to ever grace eren's life by being his friend since he was six years old and still the bright-eyed boy that he was, you finally come to a decision that he should be stopped. although mikasa is reluctant and armin has his doubts, you vow to stop eren if it means giving him a semblance of eternal peace. you are a person with self-established morals — eren's goal in eradicating all of humanity is not something a sane person can do. he is a danger to everyone. and so, you embark on this journey of loss, fighting a war for the innocent people trampled in the middle of it. at first, you were fighting to bring back eren, now, you have much more important figures worth fighting for. but you and everyone else don't anticipate you falling inside a previous colossal titan's mouth.

eren creates this world after you fell inside a titan shifter's mouth. it's a brighter world than the one you lived in — it's almost real. you only dreamt of this cottage and countryside when you were young and now, you're wrapped in it. while everyone is horrified at the advent of the rumbling and the lakes of blood it leaves, you surprisingly find yourself feeling happy in this momentary bubble of domestic bliss eren created just for you. it's made of dreams, yes, but you finally spend it with the one person who never failed to prioritize you among his array of missions. you forget about the real world on your shoulders as eren pampers you in this crafted one, telling you you two married in secret and are now expecting a little one of your own. he also tells you he's chosen to spend the last years of his life with you and your newborn baby. you two dance under the sunset's stream in the kitchen, talk about everything in the nearby meadow, confessing your love again for one another in a sliver of vulnerability ...

and for one tiny guilty moment, you wish this dream of vivid scenes and colors will last for eternity. if it means never waking up for a century to experience this, you'd do it in a heartbeat.

how do you come up with the names of your ocs? They are all so beautiful and the meaning is so indepth

aw, thank you <33 i usually base them on their background; their history, personality, and role in the story ^^

for my long aot fic (diadems), the names align with my ocs' main role in the plot (example is maeve, which is of irish origin meaning she who rules and she rules in a way that she conquers all the titans that she encounters). for my hotd fic (family line), i have a harder time since my ocs' names should follow the valyrian way of naming but their names have something to do with what works for them, something that won't be too generic and gives them the personality they will embody in the story (aether targaryen for example; he is the older twin which connects with the meaning of his name, bright upper sky, also because he shines bright despite having daemon targaryen as his father). for my fics with japanese etymologies, i base their names on the kanji and then work my way from how their family background is established or their outlook in life.

THANK YOU so much for saying this :< i am actually relieved people still like what i put out here bc i've been so inactive lately (maybe it's the fact that i have lost my touch with the aot universe --- i might add other fandoms to this acc just to keep this alive and kicking owo). of course, you can ask me this (tho i can't exactly answer it that well since i'm not a professional but i'll try!) <33

i think what i most abide to when writing is to "show not tell", which i technically did not master yet but i'm getting there T^T. you have to make the reader feel the emotions, opinions, and sensations by describing what your character is experiencing --- what are the elements causing this, what are the surroundings or the atmosphere, etc. it's best to show all of this and not tell. you can also show the character's emotions through dialogue or their actions in your writing. it's actually a fun way to go about your writing this way. next, keep a journal. i know it's taxing but hey, it helps! find a subject that you're interested in, let's say the sunset, and write something about it or describe it in a way that evokes what you're feeling. i actually tried doing this and it greatly helped me a lot. you can also use this journal to write down any idea you've got for your new project. but the most important factor that did make some wonders to my style of writing are the books that i've read. so, read some books. it will help you with vocabulary and taking references on how to plan out your plots or introduce the world you're building.
